Olympus Story: Companions

Prologue:
Lofi Prelude Theme: Route Kensakuchuu (

A small 3 feet tall deity appears from nowhere, floating in the
air. He was very small, with brown hair, brown eyes, and a
strange presence. He had a cheerful and happy personality, and
it was difficult to tell if he was trying to dress nice or if he
was trying to dress casually.
Deity: Greetings! My name is Lofi Faier. He says cheerfully. You
probably don't know me, but I'm going to be your guide to this
story today! He explains with a big happy smile.
Lofi: So first... We have to recap a few events from the past of
the Olympus universe. Because a lot of people forgot certain
details about it that will be important for this story. He says
as he pulls a map down from nowhere. The map was of an area
around Olympus, which included Europe, the north part of Africa
and a little of the west side of Asia.
Lofi: Now. You all remember- He starts. He was going to
continue, but is cut off when Vobu appears in the air next to
him and jumps up to him, hitting Lofi on the back of the head
with his little rabbit hand, which was more annoying than
hurtful since Vobu wasn't that strong physically in his normal
rabbit form. Lofi wasn't too much taller than Vobu, so Vobu and
Lofi were pretty close to the same size.
Lofi: Ow! What was that for?! He says to Vobu, rubbing his head
after Vobu hit him on the back of the head.
Vobu looks to Lofi annoyed. Vobu: You were supposed to wait to
do the intro until I got here! No one knows who you are yet, my
guy! He says to Lofi.
Lofi waves to Vobu jokingly. Lofi: They didn't know who you were
either until you just randomly appeared one day. He says
jokingly.
Vobu: Hey, I got set-up in the stories for Olympus's universe.
Unlike you. He says bitterly.
Lofi: Yeah... Sorry, buddy. You're confused. Your story was a
retcon, not setup... You weren't a thing until you appeared and
then you were written in as origin of the Miura family who would
become the Hazeldines. You were never mentioned before you were
just written into the story.
Vobu: Okay. I guess I can't argue that. He says as he turns his
head. He then looks back. But you're just based on a dream the
writer had!
Lofi just smiles with a smug look at Vobu as he waits for Vobu
to process what he said.
Vobu hits his forehead with a sigh. Vobu: Right, I forgot. I was
based on a dream he had, too. He looks over to Lofi. Our writer
has a weird mind, doesn't he? He says jokingly.
Lofi chuckles. Lofi: Let's just say Sigmund Freud would have a
field day with him. He says jokingly.
The two look at each other before turning their heads.
Lofi: Anyway. Back to the explanation.
Vobu: Right, sorry about the sidetracking... He points to Lofi.
This is Lofi. He's a god of familiars from a long forgotten
pantheon, different from mine. He and I were supposed to do this
intro together so I could introduce him to you guys. He says,
glaring at Lofi.
Lofi: Oh come on... You don't even need to be here! You're not
even in this story! He says sarcastically.
Vobu huffs as he looks over at Lofi.
Vobu: Maybe not! But the audience recognizes me! He puffs up his
chest and lifts his head up with confidence. I'm cute and
cuddly, and people want to see more of me!
Lofi chuckles and looks away mischievously. Lofi: Yeah. If they
want to get s*cked... He says jokingly, making fun of the fact
that Vobu often took souls of enemies who made the mistake of
hugging him thinking he was a real rabbit.
Vobu: Oi! That was the WORST way you could have phrased that! He
says bitterly. And I don't do that anymore! He then looks away
nervously. Okay. I guess I still do eat people.... He says
hesitantly.
Lofi: See? You're still a villain, you know! Meanwhile, I'm a
benevolent and helpful deity! I'm a TRUE good guy! He says
confidently.
Vobu sighs and looks over at the map Lofi had pulled out. Vobu:
Ugh... I would have been good if the original meadow creatures
weren't jerks. Or if we were in one of the futures where I get
purified. He then recomposes himself. Anyway. I see you already
brought out the map. He says to Lofi.
Lofi smiles as he motions to the map. Him and Vobu both focus on
the story explanation, trying to get back on track.
Lofi: That's right... You can see here that this is a more or
less accurate map of the current world. He then motions to black
spots on the map that seemed to be in random places that seemed
to circle around Olympus that seemed to be marked in certain
areas like the Sahara desert, and areas of Europe. While most of
the spots were in uninhabited areas, there were a few towns that
had black spots over them. Can you guess what these black spots
are on the map? He says with a smile.
Vobu looks over. Vobu: As you no doubt remember, Kindron died
when he turned into a monster and the people of Olympus had to
kill him. However, there were consequences of that day that rang
across this part of the world.
Lofi floats around the map dramatically and then points to
Olympus.
Lofi: That's right. When Kindron turned into a monster, his aura
leaked out of Olympus and affected the natural world. These
black areas were referred to as "the dark lands" and no one was
able to enter those lands without being mutated into monsters,
which almost always made them lose their minds. There were a few
towns that had to be evacuated due to the dark lands overlapping
with the towns in certain affected areas. Some are even dark
enough to blot out the sunlight.
Vobu: That's right. These lands are the ones that spawned that
"Dark Aura" guy that wreaked havoc and tried to spread the
corrupted lands before he was taken out by Nightbane and his
friends. So the areas that don't fit in the pattern are the ones
that Dark Aura affected, and a few missing ones that the
alternate lightning Kindron tried to fix. He explains.
Lofi: However, while the lightning version of Kindron (Raiden
Kindron) did try to purify those lands, there are still many
areas that haven't been purified, or areas that weren't able to
be purified. Hence why we still have lands that are basically
impassible unless you happen to have our universe Kindron's
aura. [/b]He explains, pointing to the black areas as he
explains.[/b]
Vobu: That's right. These lands have mutated many more creatures
who have wandered in and are still creating new mutations of
creatures who get into the area.
Lofi: And while the revival of our universe's Kindron did give
us a way to purify those lands with him being able to resorb the
power that has infused those lands, the fact is that many lands
are still growing more and more dangerous. He has tried to fix
some of those lands, but even without the aura, these lands are
still permanently altered.
Vobu: Of course, you gotta understand we're not trying to blame
Kindron for all this. He says with a cheerful smile.
Lofi: That's right... It wasn't Kindron's fault this happened.
He says in response to Vobu's statement.
Vobu gets a bitter look.
Vobu: No... It was that Kagetane guy. And the one who
masterminded that whole thing.
Lofi: Which we aren't supposed to know who did that yet. He
says, smiling, with a wink.
Vobu sighs. Vobu: Yeah... We're just supposed to know what Drake
found on that incident. It's too bad. He and Ichigo were so
close to figuring out the truth, but they just took a wrong turn
with their information by making a bad assumption. He says with
a shrug. He then winks as well. But that's a story for another
time. He says with a smile.
Lofi: Right... Anyway. Today's story stars yours truly. He says
with a smile, throwing his hands up and posing.
Vobu sighs. Vobu: Yeah. This is Lofi's intro. As he said
earlier, I'm not in this story. He then points to Lofi. But
there are a few things you should know about his pantheon before
we start.
Lofi: The first and most obvious being that Vobu and I are
different pantheons. Some may think that both of us being from
forgotten pantheons means we're from the same pantheon. He
smiles and spins around. But I'm from another pantheon entirely.
He then gets a sad and dramatic look. But I'm even more
forgotten than Vobu. He says sarcastically, while sulking.
Vobu: That's right. Lofi was the god of familiars in his
pantheon. And to give you an idea of how old his pantheon is...
Well, his pantheon has a god of the dinosaurs... He's the deity
who sealed the that evil deity, Behemarok, away. But primarily,
Lofi is a god of familiars, and that will be explained a bit
more in this story...
Lofi stops sulking and regains his composure.
Lofi: For now, let's get this show on the road! He says with a
smile as he waves his hand with some magic-looking energy and
the scene shifts.
Main Story:
Mysterious Visitors Theme: Delusion (

"Helloooo? Are you awake yet?~"
That was what Kindron heard as he woke up to the feeling of
someone poking him in the forehead. It wasn't a voice he
recognized, and he was a bit grumpy that someone was
interrupting his sleep.
As he sits up, and fully wakes up, he notices someone floating
above him, and two large centipede creatures at the door, as
though blocking his escape. Or at least, that's what Kindron
thought.
Kindron ignites a blade of dark energy and points it at the
small floating man who was floating above him.
Kindron: Who are you? What do you want? He says to the man,
suspicious of him. Kindron looked over at the centipede
creatures, studying their presence. But strangely, Kindron
didn't feel any ill intent from them. On the contrary, they
seemed nervous. They were very tall, and looked extremely
dangerous, with them having red eyes and large mandibles. And of
course, Kindron couuld practically smell their venom. It made
sense, given that centipedes are poisonous.
The small man floats and holds his hands up with a smile to
Kindron.
Man: Easy. We're not your enemies. We came to meet with you. He
explains.
Kindron: Then why ambush me while I was sleeping? He says to the
man.
The man just looks at Kindron with a sour look.
Man: Because ever since you came back, all you DO is eat and
sleep when your wife and kids aren't around. I've been trying to
find a time to talk to you for days now! He says sarcastically.
Kindron dispels his dark energy blade and sighs.
Kindron: Alright. I'll give you that one. Zeph's been staying
with Daniel the last few days, so I've been here alone when I'm
not drinking with my friend Merlin. I didn't get to eat and
sleep in the Hall of Souls, so I guess I've been enjoying it a
bit more since coming back. He says sarcastically. So who are
you, and what are you doing here?
The man chuckles and poses.
Man: I'm Lofi Faier, the god of familiars! He says proudly.
Kindron just tilts his head in confusion.
Kindron: Never heard of you. He says to Lofi.
Lofi gets a dramatically sad look on his face and turns away,
sulking.
Lofi: I know... No one has in this day and age. He says
sarcastically.
In response, the two centipedes click their mandibles at Lofi,
as though trying to cheer him up.
Lofi just floats over to the two centipede creatures and hugs
them.
Lofi: You two are so precious! He says jokingly as he hugs them.
Kindron turns and sits on the bed, then gets up.
Kindron: So, what are you doing here? He asks Lofi.
Lofi turns to Kindron and motions to the two centipedes.
Lofi: Actually, it's because of these two that I'm here. They
gave me a great excuse to meet with you. He says happily.
Kindron: Okay... He says, not sure what to say in response.
Lofi: So. Meet Aki and Oki. He says, introducing the two
centipede creatures.
Kindron: Um. Hi? He says to the centipedes, waving to them.
The centipedes wave their legs at Kindron, as though greeting
him. Despite how scary they looked, Kindron got the impression
they would be smiling if they could.
Lofi: Essentially, these two prayed for someone to help them
meet the one who created them... Or was responsible for their
birth... Or something. He says, trying to find a good way to
explain it.
Kindron: They prayed to you? He says, remembering what Lofi said
about no one remembering him in this day and age.
Lofi: Well, not to me specifically. He explains. You see, these
days I can't exactly intervene for familiars unless they either
pray to me specifically, or they leave an open ended prayer to
anyone willing to listen. And these two prayed to any deity that
would listen. Because they wanted to meet you. He explains.
Kindron: Why me? He says to Lofi.
Lofi: You can't tell? Have your senses dulled since coming back
to life? I'd figure you'd be able to sense your own power in
them. He says to Kindron.
Kindron takes a moment to sense the creatures. It was true that
he could sense traces of his energy, but it was almost...
distorted. It was then that he remembered... The day he turned
into a monster.
Lofi notices Kindron's expression change.
Lofi: Figured it out? They're from the Dark Lands. One of the
areas your monster aura affected. Your aura turned these two
centipedes into new creatures. So essentially, your power
breathed new life into them and turned them into new creatures.
He explains cheerfully.
Kindron: So, if they are from the Dark Lands, why are they the
only ones you helped? he asks Lofi.
Lofi: Well... They're the only ones that were praying to learn
more and meet the one who was responsible for their birth. And
since I'm a god of familiars, I figured I could get away with
helping them become your new familiars. He smiles. In a way,
they're like your children since you essentially created them.
He says somewhat jokingly.
Kindron was a bit caught off guard by the comment.
Kindron: So, you two... wanted to meet me? Why? He says
curiously.
Lofi smiles as he starts to explain. He does a dramatic pose and
gets teary eyed for dramatic effects as he tells the centipede's
story.
Lofi: These two poor souls were so peaceful. They just wanted to
live their life and all the other creatures picked on them. They
just wanted to be loved, but the other creatures in the dark
lands just treated them so terribly. But despite being dangerous
monsters, they never once attacked or hurt anyone else, because
they have such peaceful hearts. He says dramatically, telling
the centipede's story. He then smiles to Kindron. They wanted to
meet you and join you. They are hoping the man who is like their
father will accept them and let them stay with him. He says to
Kindron.
Kindron didn't know what to say to the centipedes, and didn't
really know how to respond when they nuzzled up to Kindron after
Lofi's story.
Kindron soon smiles and pets their heads softly, which causes
them to nuzzle Kindron more and curl up to him. They seemed to
enjoy the attention, and seemed to genuinely like Kindron.
Kindron: Well... I suppose it can't hurt. I do already have two
other familiars. So as long as you get along with them, I don't
mind you two sticking around. He says to them as he continues to
pet their heads softly.
The two centipedes click their mandibles happily as Kindron says
they can stay with him.
Kindron: And don't worry. You guys won't have to fight. I can do
the fighting. He says to them, continuing to pet their heads
softly.
As they continue to nuzzle to Kindron, they are careful to avoid
letting their mandibles poke Kindron by accident, and seem to be
careful not to use their strength or powers to accidentally hurt
Kindron (though it was unlikely they could if they tried.
Kindron notices how careful they were around him to not hurt
him, and noticed their soft demeanor.
Kindron: I guess he was right. You two really are precious.
You're almost like puppies. He says jokingly to them, which gets
them into a happy mood as they enjoy being close to Kindron.
As Kindron pets them, he looks to Lofi.
Kindron: So... If you're a god of familiars, why are you a
forgotten god? Familiars are still around, right?
Lofi looks away and rubs his head.
Lofi: Yeah... Well, it's complicated. You see... He gets into a
sad face pose and starts sulking as though trying to get
attention. People and familiars used to pray to me all the
time... In the old days, familiars and people couldn't find each
other without my help. Familiars needed a guide to guide them to
the right masters, and masters needed help pinpointing the right
familiars. And when I helped them, it was my power that created
their familiar bonds.
Kindron: What changed?
Lofi sighs. Lofi: Well... Eventually, familiars and masters
developed their own ways of finding familiars or masters, and
well... He looks away. They eventually didn't need me anymore.
Now, familiars and masters can find and bond to each other
without my help.
Kindron: Why don't you try to rebuild your pantheon if you're
forgotten? I heard it worked for Vobu.
Lofi shrugs. Lofi: Believe me, we would if we could. There are
actually some of us left, but the problem is that our power
these days isn't being used for humans.
Kindron looks to Lofi suspiciously. Kindron: I don't like where
this is going. He says sarcastically.
Lofi looks to Kindron with a serious look.
Lofi: Yeah. Sorry to spring this on you, but our power is being
used to hold back a very dangerous deity from the ancient
times... And to give you an idea of how ancient this guy is:
He's a god of the creatures you refer to as dinosaurs.
Kindron tilts his head a bit in confusion. Kindron: A dinosaur
god? I wasn't aware there were such things.
Lofi chuckles. Lofi: Yesterday, you didn't know there was a god
of familiars like me. He says jokingly before getting serious
again. Listen though. Behemarok, the god of the dinosaurs, is a
dangerous guy. You ever see Jurassic Park? Well, that's what he
wants to do to your whole world. He wants his kind to reign
supreme, and to use you people as food. And thanks to human
developments in cloning and genetic modifications, his followers
are working diligently on how to create a new era of creatures.
Kindron stops for a moment, looking up at Lofi. Kindron: So you
want me to stop this guy, I take it?
Lofi sighs again. Lofi: Yeah. I'd ask that Zeus kid, but I don't
think she's strong enough to handle this guy. And on top of how
dangerous he is, I heard from another deity that they're teaming
up with dragons. There's talk of an alliance between Behemarok
and Onaga. Imagine a new era of dinosaurs and a new era of
dragons ruling your world. And this time... the dinosaurs are
going to
strong enough to survive another ice age, and smart enough to
strategize their rule over your world. My pantheon only sealed
him away by nearly destroying the world.
Kindron: And how did he get sealed?
Lofi: Well... We all got together and dropped an asteroid on
your world. And then boom, one ice age later, all the behemoths
died out while we sealed away Behemarok while the cold had
turned him and his followers into lizard popsicles. He explains
somewhat jokingly.
Kindron: And you think he's going to break out soon?
Lofi: Here's the thing. Behemarok can break out whenever he
wants. He's waiting for the right time. We're holding him, but
if he fights back, my pantheon can't hold the seal on him.
Kindron: What's he waiting for?
Lofi: We think he's waiting for Onaga to be found and awakened.
He says grimly.
Kindron sighs. Great. I'll have to tell V about this. Chances
are, she and I will have to work together on this one.
Lofi smiles and shrugs. Lofi: I didn't want to get her involved
since she's got a lot on her plate already, and you're just
lazying around. He says jokingly.
Kindron sighs and pets the two centipedes. Kindron: I have no
idea how to feel about this. But for now, I'll just enjoy
meeting these two. He says with a smile to the centipedes. If
you two want to be familiars, I can give you new forms so you
aren't so big. He says to them.
The two centipedes nod and try to hug Kindron with their little
legs.
Lofi just smiles and hugs the three. Lofi: Good luck with that.
I'll leave you to it. Stay out of trouble you two. He says to
the centipedes. My work here is done. He says cheerfully as he
seems to be consumed into a magic circle teleportation which
causes him to teleport away.
Kindron then smiles to the two centipedes.
Kindron: Alright... here goes. He says as he uses his familiar
arts to make the two his familiars. Once he finishes with the
familiar, not only do the two glow with Kindron's power and with
his black flames, but they also shrink into cute little
centipedes and sit on Kindron's shoulder.
Kindron smiles and uses his finger to pet them in their smaller
forms. The two nuzzle up to Kindron's hand, enjoying the fact
that Kindron had accepted them.
It seemed that something good came out of today, though Kindron
did wonder what the future would hold, especially if this old
dinosaur god were to show up and team up with Onaga. If that
happened, Kindron wondered if he could handle it himself, but
knew he might need help considering he knew how dangerous Onaga
was supposed to be from V and Vin's stories about the alternate
timeline Onaga they fought.
It seems only time will tell how this event would play out.
But the question left on everyone's minds: Who is Lofi, and what
kind of gods lie in his forgotten pantheon that are holding
Behemarok back? And how long would they be able to protect the
people from the god of the dinosaurs?
