RP Profile: Hei "Blues" Darkfire
By: Zorbak the Ebil Moglin Date: May 9, 2019, 12:03 am
---------------------------------------------------------
"Rest easy brother... I'll take care of this one..." - Hei
"Blues" Darkfire to his brother, the clone of Kindron Darkfire
(Also sometimes known as Clone Kindron) after he saved him from
being killed by Dr. Black's forces
"My name is Hei Darkfire, but just for today... You can call me
by my designation... I am prototype artificial clone model 0
"Protoman"... But I much prefer the name I was given by a
friend... You can call me Blues."
"As long as there are people willing to fight for those they
believe in, hope will always remain."
"I live as I wish. That is all. My life is none of your
business."
"I'm sorry... But this ends here, brother. Sorry it has to be
this way." - Hei "Protoman" Darkfire to Omega, who he sees as
his brother
"So brother, you're not as weak as I thought... Let's see which
of us our father made stronger." - Hei to Clone Kindron
"You won't beat Clone Kindron in the end... You may be the
original, but you can't win the war for Dr. Black. And for one
simple reason... You don't fight for anything... But Kindron is
different. He fights for the future, not just for himself, but
for others close to him. It doesn't matter that he's a clone.
You will never win because you have nothing to truly fight for.
I suspect you lost that long ago when Dr. Black slaughtered your
family." - Hei to Omega
"Kindron... You're not a slave, are you? You're acting on your
own, aren't you? Not with a partner, or with your brother, or
under someone's orders. You're fighting for what you want.
That's enough, isn't it?" - Hei to Clone Kindron when Dr. Black
managed to get into Clone Kindron's head when Clone Kindron
found out he was a clone of Omega.
"I never know when my power core will hit it's limit and give
out... But that doesn't matter to me. My power core doesn't
allow restrictions and of that came free will... Whether
intentional or not, free will was the greatest gift I was given.
And I have no intention of giving that up." - Hei to his creator
who wanted to fix his power core as it was a prototype and could
give out at any time.
"It's always been on my mind... We're created to be weapons.
We're artificial clones created solely for combat, and the
Darkfires we are based on are a family based in the power of
combat. Outside of fighting... What kind of lives can we live? I
haven't found the answer yet... But with the powers given to me,
I will continue fighting until I find that answer."
The first time Hei met Clone Kindron against Omega. Hei
teleports in, and a whistle is heard as he teleports in.
Hei immediately blasts Omega back as he tries to get close to
Kindron to finish him off. Omega just looks confused as he looks
at Blues.
Omega: Hei? No...
Hei: I'm Blues. Nice to meet ya. Sorry, but I can't let you kill
my brother. He says to Omega
Omega: Clone... Now I see...
Kindron sits up, trying to get a good look at Hei. Kindron: What
was that whistle? Does that happen whenever you teleport? Cause
that will get really annoying. He says somewhat jokingly
Hei: Hey... Don't mock the whistle! The tune was deviced by a
very good friend of mine to make the sound my teleport makes
pleasant instead of ear-bleeding. Hei says to Kindron.
Name: Hei "Blues" Darkfire (Clone Version)
Project: Protoman
Alias: Black Wolf
Age: Unknown
Species: Cybernetically Enhanced Human Clone
Gender: Male
Hunter Group/Team: None
Weapons:
- Red Lotus Proto Sword: This sword is a special weapon designed
by his brother, Clone Kindron, after Kindron found out about
Hei's creation and decided to help equip him for fights he'd
face against Dr. Black's forces. This sword uses modern tech to
store a large sword blade inside a handle in which the blade is
compressed down to a small size using high level compression
tech and digital storage. The blade is designed with a unique
vibranium alloy, codenamed proteum, designed to interact and
amplify his Proto energy, which he generates from his Proto
core. Because of how the blade is designed, it's actually much
heavier than it looks, making it very strong, but a bit slower
than a normal sword. The weapon is a larger two-handed sword,
designed to be wielded with both hands. When Hei wields this, he
has to sacrifice some speed for strength, but the weapon is
designed to be vary strong, and can pierce opponents more
easily, as well as hit harder than many other weapons of the
same size. The blade is designed to be able to counter energy
weapons using Hei's proto energy, but also being able to counter
aura breaker weapons due to it using the vibranium alloy. If
wielded by someone else, this blade is very difficult to master
due to it's weight.
- Proto Sword: This sword is Hei's main weapon he uses alongside
his proto shield. This sword is a much lighter and speedier
weapon than his first weapon, and usually his go-to weapon. This
saber uses the same proteum vibranium alloy that his other
weapon and his tech uses, and focuses his proto energy the same
way his red lotus proto sword does. This saber is in the form of
a katana, designed with a special sheathe. Unlike the first
sword which conveniently draws the blade into the handle for
easy storage, this weapon is a more classic style where the
weapon is meant to be sheathed. The sheath is a specially
designed one, designed to contain the energy of the sword and
prevent the sword's energy from leaking out when it's sheated,
and designed that the energy can be stored in the blade for
quick drawing techniques when needed. This was designed to be
Hei's primary weapon, designed for speed and flexible movement.
This sword can still also focus his proto energy to enhance the
blade's cutting ability and allow it to cut through harder
substances if Hei puts enough strength into his strikes.
- Hei's Knives: These were knives modeled after the ones used by
Father Hei for many years. Though Hei doesn't use this too
often, he does have some of these he can use, usually as a way
to combine them with his wires, similar to how Father Hei used
to use his wires and knives. Hei is fully able to use a similar
combat style, and can use these knives which are designed for
fast attack at close range. These knives are made of ultra
varanium, designed to interrupt tech and supernatural
regeneration if an opponent is hit by these weapons. The knives
also work as conduits for Hei's holy lightning magic, allowing
him to run electrical charges through his knives and allowing
him to use these to do more damage. He can also focus piercing
lightning energy into them so they can pierce through armor and
shields, or use the magnetic properties of the ultra varanium to
draw on the electrical energy. Because of ultra varanium's
nature, Hei himself cannot touch these weapons so he has a
special handle on them that prevents him from being affected,
though his armor's gloves also help in this regard. However,
these knives could be turned back on Hei if an enemy got ahold
of them. These knives are meant for close combat, and for use
with his grapple lines as a spear to cling to objects when
thrown with enough force.
- Proto Shield: Many who know Hei know how he treasures this
shield, which was designed to be used just like it sounds. The
shield is large enough to block weapons and other attacks, but
is also light enough to allow Hei to keep moving fast and
flexibly. When not in use, this is magnetized to his back using
special tech (more in proto armor and cybernetics), and designed
so that he can easily use it whenever he needs the shield in
battle. This shield is full vibranium, designed purely for
defense. Unlike his other weapons, this weapon uses full
vibranium and is not designed to use Hei's proto energy as it's
designed to be able to block more than his proteum can. This
shield also has a small section cut out so that Hei can see
through it when using it for defense since it's designed to be
held in front of his chest and face, though this is also
slightly disadvantageous because it opens him up to attack if an
opponent takes advantage of the space he uses to see. His shield
also has words written onto it: "Hope Rides Alone" which really
isn't important to battle or anything, but just something that
he wrote on his shield.
- Proto Gauntlets/Wires: Hei has special gauntlets, which
normally look very bulky compared to other similarly designed
gauntlets. These gauntlets have small shields which are stored
in the gauntlets simliar to his red lotus saber blade being
stored in the handle of the weapon. These gauntlets store the
metal using compression and storage tech, and can summon the
shields at will. However, these weapons can sometimes get in the
way, so Hei doesn't use them all the time unless he really needs
to, which he will usually only do when he's fighting hand to
hand since these are good for defending against attacks. These
shields, like his proto shield, are made of vibranium, designed
for defense instead of focusing his energy. However, inside the
gauntlets are also grapple devices, designed to shoot wires
whenever Hei needs to do so. Hei is able to connect these to his
knives as needed, and these are designed to focus Hei's holy
lightning magic as a conduit along the wires and knives,
designed to spear and electrocute opponents with Hei's
electrical energy. These wires can also be fired on their own,
to entangle or trap an opponent. If the daggers or wires make
contact with the enemy, Hei can run his holy lightning magic
through them and electrocute enemies with it or the daggers,
similar to the way Father Hei could with his wires and knives.
- Proto Buster Canon: This weapon used to be part of Hei's Proto
armor until Clone Kindron started working on an upgrade. Instead
of being connected, Hei can summon this and use it at will,
allowing him a few different modes with the canon. Like it
looks, the weapon be used like a chaingun, shooting tiny blasts
of proto energy like that of a mini-gun. This is the main mode
of it, where it is designed to mow down groups of enemies using
small amounts of Hei's proto energy. The weapon can fire
extremely fast, with the chamber spinning just like that of a
mini-gun. The weapon also has another mode, where the chamber
can be used to channel proto energy from Hei, and can be used to
channel larger blasts from the center, using the rest of the
chamber as a conduit to amp and draw energy from Hei. Instead of
spinning, the chambers light up with proto energy and focus it
into a blast that is fired out of the center. This canon needs
only for Hei to hold the trigger handle, which is inside this
gauntlet-like weapon. The weapon also has a wrist chamber for
support when used, which makes it almost like a gauntlet style
weapon. This weapon is easy to use, but can only be wielded by
Hei since it draws on his proto energy, and no one else can
generate it but him.
Proto Armor Features:
- Hei Darkfire/Protoman Armor Integration: When Hei was designed
as a clone, his armor was designed to be uniquely connected to
him and operated only by him. This is no more apparent than how
his armor runs on his own proto energy, which is generated by
Hei's proto core. This armor has a number of special features
and is designed as a supernatural hunter and maverick hunter
hybrid combat outfit/armor. This is uniquely designed in two
modes: His light armor mode, and his heavy armor mode. The light
armor mode is more like a set of battle clothes than true armor,
with most of his heavier armor not present. The only real armor
on him are parts attached to him and his clothes, and his boots,
gauntlets, gloves and helmet in this mode. Of course, he can
still use his shield gauntlets, but the gauntlets themselves are
not as large in this mode to save flexibility. This form focuses
speed and flexibility over strength and defense, so the armor
and clothes aren't as strong. However, when Hei does need heavy
battle armor, he can use his heavy armor, which uses his
advanced full armor, with some features only available in heavy
armor mode. This mode is great for defense and strength, but not
so good for flexibility and speed, which suffer due to the
design of the armor's strength and defense in this form. The
heavy mode is designed for stronger and tougher enemies while
the lighter form is meant more for enemies close to his level or
below. This is only in his human form can he use this though,
and he cannot use this in his black flame wolf form. For the
most part, Hei has two "modes" he switches between as necessary.
The first is his Proto armor mode where he is in one of his two
armors and uses his proto energy abilities (and a little of his
magic) or be in his dark flame wolf form and only use his
elemental magic.
- Proteum Core: This core sits in Hei's heart, and generates the
power that pretty much gives him life. This energy is generated
by the cybernetic core built in his larger than normal heart,
which generates proto energy that he can use. This energy is
designed to be used not only in his attacks and amping his
weapons, but also designed mostly to power his proto armor (both
versions). The lighter armor doesn't really require a lot of
power, but the heavier armor requires a bit more power to run
since it's designed to put out stronger power than his lighter
form. This core operates passively, generating energy constantly
that is fed into Hei's outfit. Due to an oversight, there were a
few other problems with the core though, like it's inability to
allow restrictions, specifically, the proto energy shortcircuits
control chips that try to control it's functions. This had an
adverse effect, which made it so Hei couldn't be controlled by
cybernetics or control systems planted inside him. This ended up
working to Hei's advantage so he can now do what he desires
without worrying about those like Dr. Black being able to take
control of him. However, there is a danger with this core, as
the core itself was a prototype when it was designed. Because of
the imperfections of the core, it developed an energy glitch
which will burn out the core someday. This brings up Hei's
biggest weakness, which is that if this core is destroyed, or it
finally does short out, it can kill him. (More in weaknesses)
- Armor/Weapon Digital Storage/Repair: When Hei choses to put
his armor or weapons away, his wrist device he wears under his
gauntlets has a special storage unit that holds his armor. The
device is nanotech, which is absorbed into Hei's skin when not
in use, but when in use, it can come out and form around his
wrist, activating as needed. This runs on his proto energy,
allowing him digital cyber storage for his weapons and armor. As
such, Hei doesn't need to carry weapons or armor around, though
he does at times just because he likes to be ready for anything.
When used, these units summon or desummon whatever armor or
weapon Hei wants them to, with them being able to interact with
Hei's brain to do what he wants them to do. This uses special
hardware to not only store, but protect Hei's armor and weapons,
which can also fix them whenever they are digitized and they are
fixed while digitzed based on the designs of when they were
first introduced into the system in Hei's wrist devices. As
such, this is very useful for storage and for repair.
- Magnetic Weapon Attach: Around his chest are what look like
belts, but are actually magnetic storage devices that connect
weapons stored on his back like his sword and shield. Much like
some who wear their swords on their back, Hei wears his sword on
his back when it's manifested, allowing him to use this to keep
his weapons manifested, but stored in a safe place on his
person. He can store his shield on the back, with the device
keeping the shield on his back when he's not using it. The
devices are interactive with Hei's cybernetics, where he can
disable the grip on his weapons when he wants to draw them. This
is partially designed so that his weapons can be stored on his
person without fear of them falling off. However, the second
function of this is also to make it so that these weapons stored
on his person are impossible to steal, since the magnetic
connection cannot be broken except willingly by Hei since these
devices are interactive with Hei's cybernetics. As such, this is
very useful for this purpose as well, making sure no one can
steal his shield or sword. When Hei wants to draw them, he
simple disconnects them by disabling the connecting in his
device through his cybernetics, allowing him to then draw the
sword or shield. This is for simple storage though, and not
meant for battle.
- Proto Armor HUD/User Interface: As one might expect from Hei's
helmet, the armor comes equipped with a user interface that can
show a number of different things. The main thing is that he can
generate holographic images, either making them public or
private so only he can see them. This is similar to some other
more advanced holographic generation tech, and works the same
way. His user interface also has the ability to interface with
other tech to hack and control other tech to do things like
operate machinery and try to get information. His user interface
also includes a voice changer, which he uses to descramble his
voice a bit since Hei's voice is a bit harder to understand due
to his somewhat damaged body. This user interface also has
different visions, like thermal, x-ray, nightvision, light
filter and sonar. In addition, the suit also has a motion
sensor, able to keep track of enemies not just by power level,
but also be their movement. This user interface is very useful,
essentially making his helmet like a computer that connects
directly to cybernetic implants in his brain. As one might
expect though, this only works when the system has the power to
function, and if the suit cannot keep itself running, this user
interface won't work anymore.
- Proto Armor Optics: This mostly involves the user interface,
and partially involves Hei's cybernetic implants in his brain.
Hei's armor has enhanced opticals, being able to scan
environments and enhance Hei's sight abilities immensely. This
enhances Hei's vision, adding increased magnification of his
vision, as well as being able to use the suits user interface to
use sonar to map the area around him. Thanks to this, this
system makes him able to see almost anything going on around him
thanks to the user interface, making sneaking up on him
difficult. In addition, his user interface also has a motion
detection radar system that can map anyone moving around him. He
can also focus other visions like thermal and x-ray vision using
this system, as well as scanning people around him or focusing
on specific things on the environment. This is more an
enhancement to Hei's vision, which uses the suit and cybernetic
implants to generate more information and let him see far more
than most would be able to.
- Assassin Precision System: This is a part of Hei's user
interface, which is a targeting system designed to increase
Hei's accuracy and help account for enemy movement. This system
is designed to be a very advanced analysis system, designed to
not only analyze and predict opponents, but also enhance Hei's
already fast reflexes even further to let him react more quickly
to opponents. This almost instantly reacts to Hei's mind, and
his armor is controlled through thought before movement, making
him able to react to attacks long before most people would be
able to move. This system is designed for speed and mobility in
battle, and the system is designed to predict opponents by
analyzing their fighting moves and styles. In addition, there is
a targeting system that works great for targeting and letting
Hei focus on specific opponents or more accurately aim, making
him able to be more accurate. This system is designed to allow
for minimal time between reaction and movement, thus decreasing
reaction time. Though this may sound intimidating, this mostly
just means Hei is pretty accurate using this this system and can
react more quickly than most opponents. This also doesn't make
Hei hit every opponent, but just more accurately predicts
opponents movements so Hei can better aim for where opponents
will be rather than guessing and increase Hei's accuracy where
he aim.
- Helmet Breathing Device/Air Filter: Not many would think it,
but Hei's helmet is designed to filter out anything that Hei
doesn't want to breathe in, allowing him to filter air and only
breathe in the air he wants. Hei's heavy suit was designed as an
environmental suit, where it can be used almost anywhere, in
which this was designed so that it can handle tough environments
that would normally be toxic to humans. This isn't too useful in
terms of battle, except against those that use poison or other
toxins in the air to try and infect opponents. Since this device
can filter the air, this helmet makes it so Hei can't be
affected by air effects, as the devices helps regulate his
breathing and can even recycle his air if needed by filtering it
and converting it to breathable air. As such, this is useful
even for being underwater (should Hei find himself submerged in
water, or even in space (should he for some reason go to space).
His helmet can do this in both forms, but only his full armor
suit is fully designed to be a full environmental suit, so the
helmet can only really be fully protective when he's in his
heavy armor form, though his light armor form can still protect
him to a degree.
- Personal Teleportation System: In his helmet, he has the
system for a transportation system, which he can use to teleport
around as needed. This is useful because he doesn't need to use
his own energy to do this, and can just use the armors expended
energy to power this. This is designed to not only teleport Hei
around, but can be used if Hei runs out of energy and needs an
emergency transport, allowing him to get out of battles in a
hurry if he has to. This teleportation system can teleport him
or others with him, though he can only teleport up to 7 people
using this system, and cannot teleport more than that. The
teleportation system has sort of a weird side effect though, in
which it whistles whenever Hei teleports somewhere. Hei rather
enjoys this whistle, as he likes the sound it makes and thinks
it fits his presence well, but it does announce his presence
when he teleports. This was slightly modified by another
scientist, so it sounds more like a deliberate whistle, even
though it's just a side effect of his prototype armor powering
this. This isn't really too useful in battle, except to escape
battles when needed.
- Magnetic Hand And Boots: Hei's gloves, as well as his boots,
have special functions which are designed to have a magnetic
effect. This lets Hei use his gloves or boots to create a cling
effect which can allow him to keep grip on things like his
weapon, or metal objects in his possession. He can also use this
as magnetic manipulation to affect anything magnetic, such as
holding his hand out to affect metal in front of him, like
stopping bullets. He can also use this to push or repel magnetic
objects, which works with his magnetic power. The first function
in his boots is that the magnetic functions add more knockback
to his kicks whenever Hei kicks someone. Thanks to this, Hei's
kicks use the magnetic effect to repel opponents when kicked,
and this is something he can do with his gloves as well when
using his fists to attack someone. The second function is that
Hei is able to use this to plant his feet and stick to surfaces.
This isn't perfect, due to it requiring to use the metal
underground to plant him (which the 30XX world has plenty of),
and stronger forces can still push him back if he's trying to
stay in one spot. For the most part, he only really uses this
against wind users or just using it in combat to do more damage.
- Dash System: In his boots are special ports that can fire
bursts of energy from them that can allow Hei to use a special
dash he can use to increase his speed in short bursts or use it
to increase his momentum when attacking. The ports eject heat
and plasma which boosts him in whatever direction the force of
the ejection pushes him. Usually he needs only lean forward and
use this to dash forward, usually pointing the ports behind him
so the force pushes him forward. And with his artificial arm, he
can use this to affect his sideways momentum, usually to dodge
attacks or if he's in the air, change his trajectory. This
system is very useful in it's ability to push Omega in almost
any direction, and the ones in his feet are actually powerful
enough that he can also dash straight up. When doing this, he
can combine this with a jump to do a super jump that increases
his momentum upward so he can leap almost over a house if used
properly. This system also makes affects his combat, with
certain special techniques being usable from a dash, or with
certain attacks being amped by a dash, such as his super jump
being combined with an uppercut to essentially hit an opponent
with enough force to usually break someone's neck. He can also
use this in physical combat to increase his attack power by
hitting it at the moment of a punch or kick to increase
knockback.
Cybernetic Enhancements:
- Cybernetic Brain Enhancement/Link Sys Chip: Hei's enhancement
of his brain was important to control his other cybernetic
upgrades, and designed similarly to Omega's upgrades since they
both use the same base cybernetic tech. Not only does his brain
control his cybernetics, but his mind is enhanced with the Link
Sys chip, which is similar to the neural linker system. With
this, his brain is able to access information on the Cybernet,
and grants him a computer in his mind. He can also store
information and do just about anything a computer could do. When
he needs computer screens, he is able to create holographic
screens which can be either visible to just him or to those
around him. This enhancement also enhances his intelligence,
which was already quite high before his upgrade. For the most
part though, it's his cybernetics that require this, as the Link
Sys system mostly works with his cybernetics with the exception
of storing information and looking up information (computer
stuff). Thanks to this, if he ends up encountering something he
doesn't know, he can easily look it up. This doesn't do much in
battle, other than control his cybernetics, but the one thing he
can do is look up supernatural abilities online and find
strengths and weaknesses. Most of his cybernetics are not
usuable in his black flame wolf form, and don't affect it.
- Weapon Copy: From other cybernetic beings, Blues is able to
copy techniques and powers they use through the use of
cybernetics. When Blues analyzes a power used by cybernetics,
such as Omega's elemental negation chip, or similar abilities,
he is able to copy the data and create a variation of the user's
power for his own use using his red proto energy to power the
ability. As a result, this allows Hei to copy certain abilities,
both strengths and weaknesses, so that he can more easily try to
match his opponents he might face. The most useful aspect of
this is learning new abilities that he can hold on to. When he
gains a power, he can hold it indefinitely, but if he choses to
discard it, he has to copy the power again by analyzing the
power again. When he uses this, the powers are usually focused
from his energy where he powers them similarly to ki attacks.
Unlike his other abilities, these copied abilities have their
own limit on how much they can be used, as once they are copied,
they are powered by a small supply of "weapon energy" that Hei
stores aside for this system. Once the energy is run out, Hei
has to wait for his energy to replenish, or remove the power and
copy another. Each runs on it's own supply of energy, so it can
be done as many times as necessary, though the same power cannot
be copied twice.
- Copied Techniques: Dark Arrow Buster and Frozen Acid Ball:
Currently, Blues has two copied techniques, which he currently
leaves the third open for other attacks. He has a Dark Arrow
Buster, a technique that fires darkness energy infused spears at
opponents. This has two main modes where the first is that he
can fire spears of darkness at opponents. The second mode is
that this can be charged to fire a collection of darkness spears
at an opponent. His second technique he has is his Frozen Acid
Ball. This technique was developed by one of his enemies, and
features a powerful ice ball that can be fired at enemies to
then explode into acid on an opponent when it hits a surface.
The charged version of the attack fires a large frozen acid
spear which explodes into smaller acid balls when it hits
something. He doesn't have a third power currently. The dark
arrow buster's main weakness is light, or being countered by
energy. The frozen acid ball can be destroyed with lightning
attacks. Both can be countered plenty of other ways as well if
the opponent knows how the powers work. Blues only has limited
energy, and charging them makes him use that energy much faster
than normal due to charging it taking more energy.
- Reactive Nerves Electrolyte System: With special electrolytes
in his nervous system, Hei's nerves are enhanced heavily,
increase communication to levels that make it almost instant. Of
course, nerve reaction is very fast, and increasing that speed
doesn't really seem like much, but this makes split second
reactions extremely useful. And when combined with the
electrical energy Hei has running through him, the electrolytes
don't just communicate with his brain, but are able to use the
lightning magic generated by the body to react to anything that
comes within attack distance. This allows Hei to react instantly
without needing to think to anything that comes within arms
length. This makes sneak attacks extremely difficult, due to Hei
being able to move his body without even knowing an attack is
coming. Since his nerves are able to react like this, it makes
combat far easier, since his body can react without him needing
to do anything. However, just because he can react instantly,
doesn't mean his body can always move fast enough to dodge an
attack. If he's dodging bullets typically, he can only move so
the bullet doesn't hit anything vital. And this doesn't help too
much in physical fights since Hei has to rely on thought, which
can conflict with this system's reaction system, which can be a
good way to take advantage of Hei's cybernetics if one can get
his thoughts to conflict with the reactive system's reactions,
which typically causes hesitation or loss of speed and/or power
in a fight.
- Enhanced Adamantite Skin: During his enhancement, Hei's skin
and the layer between his skin and muscles was enhanced using
special serums. His skin is enhanced with adamantite, a
variation of adamantium used in cybernetic upgrades to enhance
the body's durability and make the skin almost hard as metal.
This was designed after dragon skin, making the skin very hard
to break or destroy. The adamantite enhances his skin, and
essentially makes his skin like full armor. This enhancement
makes him resistant to taking physical damage, dampening any
blows he might take. However, unlike Omega's upgrade, Hei's
isn't nearly as strong, since some of the enhancement is focused
on containing his red proto energy when he's not using it. This
also strengthens his organs, which make his organs much harder
to pierce by opponents. Though the adamantite is strong, it's
not as strong as adamantium, and can be overcome with strong
enough attacks. Unlike adamantium, it doesn't necessarily take
swords or bullets to hurt him, as an opponent can still hurt him
like normal, it just takes a lot more strength. And in a world
of cybernetics and enhanced physical stats, there is plenty of
powerful enhancements that can still get through his defenses.
- Gel Layer Enhancement: Beneath the epidermis layer of the skin
in the dermis and hypodermis is usually a layer of fat cells
which act as a protective layer. Hei's enhancements include a
modification of this layer, where the fat cells become like a
gel layer that protects Hei's body from impacts and acts almost
like a cushion when he takes heavy impact damage. Due to this,
he takes less damage from impacts and physical hits, as well as
taking far less damage from things like falls and high jumps.
This layer doesn't block attacks, but reduces impact damage
considerably. This doesn't help much against cutting or slash
attacks, but this does help with impacts and concussive force.
This dampens blows he takes, upping his defense so that he
doesn't take as much damage. This is most useful for absorbing
hits from physical attacks, reducing the damage he takes.
However, while this gel layer is strong, it can't protect him
from everything, and usually opponents that get through his skin
can also get through this layer too. Since this layer is really
thin, it doesn't do as much to protect someone as one might
think, and Hei's upgrade is not as strong as Omega's upgrade, in
which he still takes heavy damage from falls from high enough
heights (Omega can fall from two stories and not feel it, while
the same fall would probably cause heavy fall damage to Hei,
even if it doesn't kill him).
- CNT Muscle Fiber Enhancement: This enhancement for
cybernetically enhanced muscles increases the muscle fibers, and
uses special cybernetic fibers to increase the user's movement
and strength. Unlike some cybernetics, this doesn't just
increase strength, but also speed, as the fibers are based on
pink muscle tissue, which works great for mobility and strength.
With this enhancement, the user's strength and speed are
enhanced above that of typical supernaturals, with the strength
allowing some to lift cars and some user's speed allowing him to
disappear from view when in motion. This muscle fiber even makes
the muscles more flexible, which helps reduce overstrain and
overexertion to a degree. For the most part, these muscle
enhancements are just amps to a user's strength, defense,
durability, stamina and defense, but are not to be taken lightly
when combined with other other enhancements. Hei's enhancements
are fairly simple, designed to supplement his other
enhancements.
- Proteum Bone Infusion: Similar to Omega's enhancement, Hei's
bones were enhanced with proteum, which coats Hei's bones in
proteum and makes them much stronger. While Omega can still be
hurt, his bones are usually safe from almost any damage he could
take. Unlike Omega, who did this just to increase his strength
and defense, this was done to Hei in order to amp and control
the flow of Hei's red proto energy, and designed to help focus
it. His bones are not as indestructible as Omega's adamantium
bones, but the proteum does add some defense so that his bones
are harder to destroy or pierce. However, the defense bonus is
not too high compared to Omega, meaning that strong opponents
can pierce Hei's bones much more easily than Omega's. This was
done as a neccessary part of Hei's cybernetics, because it was
necessary for using his red proto energy and for helping focus
the flow through his body and making it strong enough to power
his armor. As a result, Hei's upgrade is more about functions of
his proto energy rather than defense.
- Artificial Heart and Circulatory System Regulation: When Hei
was made, he was given a larger heart than normal to house his
proto core, and fitted with a device in the heart to regulate
his circulatory system's flow. This heart works similiarly to a
normal heart, increasing blood flow as necessary, and the device
regulates his heart rate and monitors his blood, making sure his
body gets the nutrients it needs to keep functioning, as well as
pumping proto energy through his body. The heart pumps blood and
helps make sure that Hei's blood is operating properly, working
with the chip in his brain to regulate his body. Due to this,
his heart is usually beating at a pretty fast and constant rate,
which can be good in some aspects, but bad in others. The good
thing is that the heart flows fast and operates efficiently. The
biggest problem is that Hei's heart is larger and easier to
destroy if an opponent pierces his body (not too much bigger,
but big enough that one could hit it a little more easily than
most hearts). However, if his heart is destroyed, Hei will still
die.
- Adaptive Cybernetic System: As a whole, Hei's cybernetics are
adaptive, being able to adapt to however Hei fights and how he
operates. As a whole, his cybernetics an armors operate as one
system, and all work in conjunction with one another. As such,
his cybernetics are designed to keep that one-system operating
method, and adapt to Hei's living and fighting styles
accordingly. As Hei learns and adapts, the cybernetics are able
to adapt as well, making it so he doesn't have to train has hard
to adapt his body to move differently, or fight differently. For
the most part, the system adapts based on how Hei acts and how
he fights, without really requiring much input. For example, if
his body were to increase it's regenerative abilities, or
increase it's magic output, the body would focus less on defense
and more on regeneration. For the most part, the cybernetics are
made to be adaptable, since it's more or less how cybernetics
are designed. Due to his prototype core though, he has trouble
adapting his core though, so his core means he can't adapt as
much as he'd like. The only real adaption is that Hei learned
through this how to stay in his dark wolf form for longer than
most Darkfires can.
- Regenerative Bio-Nanopaste: This substance runs through Hei's
body in his bloodstream, which repairs him as needed. his
nanopaste is made of tiny nanites, designed for repairing damage
done to the body. The nanites can fix damage to Hei's
cybernetics, as well as being able to heal him if he's injured.
It's ability to regenerate damage helps counter damage typically
done to Blue's sbody by his proto core's energy glitch, and
allows Hei to keep fighting longer than he should be able to,
while also allowing for simple regeneration when he's not using
his Darkfire magic. While it can't restore limbs or bring him
back from the dead, the nanites are able to repair damage as he
fights, though more serious damage may take time to fix, and
depending on the damage, sometimes damage may be bad enough that
it requires help to fix (AKA if his proto core is damaged). The
nanites run through Hei's bloodstream, running throughout his
body. While he can't regrow limbs, he can rebond severed limbs
if they're not destroyed.
- Anti-Hack and Anti-Virus System: Most cybernetics and armors
have the latest in anti-hack and anti-virus systems, making
those with these defenses nearly impossible to hack or infect
with computer viruses. While they can be affected by some
unknown viruses or tech hack systems, they are easily able to
overcome this with some effort. While tech control users can
make them stop in their tracks, those with these upgrades do
gain resistances. And thanks to special backups and controls,
Hei can also override virus and hack effects with the cybernetic
implants in his brain using the Link Sys system. If someone does
manage to hit him with an unknown virus or tech control, Hei can
use his cybernetic enhancement in his brain to sense the armor's
virus or tech control and use the armor's system to fight the
virus or presence trying to take control of him. With the
cybernetics' specifications, tech control knowledge, hacking and
viruses are mostly useless against him and his cybernetics. And
those that aren't are usually overcome quickly. While Hei isn't
as up to date or as intelligent as Omega, he still manages to
stay ahead of most of the current hacking and virus trends, and
has his anti-hack/anti-virus systems updated regularly.
Red Proto Energy Abilities:
- Red Proto Energy: This energy is normally generated by Hei in
order to power his proto armor and amp his weapons, but this
energy can also be focused like other energy types. This became
the basis of his own energy user skills, where he developed his
use of this similar to how ki users use their ki. However, Hei's
proto energy does work slightly different, but works similar
enough he can use similar abilities. This energy runs through
Hei, acting not only as an amplifier, but as an energy he can
focus and use to attack. This energy is a neutral energy, which
does neutral energy damage as a result of it's nature. The
energy is almost flamelike in nature, being somewhat similar in
looks to demonic energy except that Hei's energy is a slightly
lighter red. The energy is also a bit more concentrated than
normal energies as well, which makes it good for overpowering
other energies when used properly. This energy is a specially
generated energy generated only by Hei's proteum core, which is
unique to him. This energy is designed to be used at will, and
Hei generates large amounts of this energy which he has to use
or risk damaging his core further if he doesn't discharge this
energy every so often. Since his core was not meant to ever be
turned off or changed in terms of output, his core outputs the
same amount of energy, for better or worse. This energy also
constantly damages his body, because his body can't always
handle how strong this energy is. This was supplemented by his
proto energy usage techniques, but it doesn't negate the problem
completely, which is one of his biggest weakness, and the reason
Hei is almost always in pain.
- Red Proto Lightning: This is an effect Hei can generate with
his red proto energy. His red proto energy can be used to
generate heat-based lightning which is a static generated in his
red proto energy. This is not true static electricity, but an
artificial static generated by his red proto energy. As a
result, he can use this similar to normal heat lightning, except
that this power runs on his red proto energy's interaction with
his body. Hei needs only speed up the power running through him
to generate this, which can then be controlled and focused
similarly to his holy lightning magic. The only real difference
is that is that this is a neutral energy based power rather than
fire or lightning based. While it simulates heat lightning as
it's form, this isn't true heat lightning and can do damage to
those normally immune to lightning. While the heat cannot hurt
those immune to the effects of heat, it can damage lightning
users, especially if they try to absorb it since this is not
true lightning. This energy can be countered just like
lightning, except that water doesn't typically short this out,
and is still able to be countered by other energies. This
normally would use red proto energy as a conductor, however no
one but Hei has this energy to run as a conduit, so the
conducting part of this power is fairly useless.
- Red Proto Energy Physical and Supernatural Amplification:
Hei's red proto energy is trained to amp his body, amping all of
his physical abilities and physical stats. This is one of the
main uses of some energies besides the many techniques that can
be designed. Hei gets boosts to his physical stats, which
strength him more than ki would. This boost boosts all of his
stats evenly, upping his physical abilities and, to a smaller
extent, his magic abilities. Through training, Hei has used his
proto energy to emulate ki amplification since this energy runs
through him very similarly to ki. This amplification is stronger
than many other energy amps like aura or mana, as Hei's red
proto energy is not only strong, but amped by his body's
cybernetic enhancements. As long as Hei has this energy running
through him, he is able to gain this amp passively. This
amplification can provide defense similar to aura defense,
dampening attacks as well as amping offensive abilities in
battle. For the most part, Hei's red proto energy amps more than
typical ki, but is harder on his body in the long run due to the
energy damaging his body over time as his energy continues to
build up. This also only works as long as his body is generating
this energy, and if he runs out, he has to wait for more to be
generated.
- Proto Blasts, Charged Proto Blasts and Proto Techniques: This
is Hei's red proto energy focus where it replicates how almost
every ki user learns to focus their ki into ki blasts, which can
be fired at opponents that explode on impact. This focuses his
red proto energy into blasts which can be used different ways.
In addition to simple ki-style user techniques, Hei also has a
number of ki-style techniques he can use with this as well.
Normal blasts can be fired like bullets at opponents, thrown
like balls at opponents, or can be used to fire homing ki blasts
with concentration. This depends mostly on how Hei wants to use
it, using weaker blasts for weaker enemies and stronger blasts
for stronger enemies. Another technique with this is the charged
proto blast, where Hei is able to charge his energy into a
larger blast to do more damage. There are a few types of charged
blasts depending on how Hei focuses it. Hei usually relies on
his advanced proto energy techniques, since he has a number of
special unique techniques he's developed for combat. Usually,
basic blasts and charged blasts are useful against weaker
opponents who Hei might not want to waste stronger attacks on.
- Proto Kiai (Attack Wave): This is based on the Kiai ki
technique, where Hei uses his red proto energy to fire waves of
concussive force to hit opponents. This technique is invisible
to the naked eye, but can be sensed by anyone that can sense
energy, as well as can be dodged against. These are waves of
pure physical force, created by Hei's proto energy. This is
usable by Hei pretty easily, as this is more of a physical
attack focused through proto energy rather than a proto energy
technique. This attack wave is useful for attacking someone
farther away without wasting energy. And by using physical
strength to his advantage, Hei can actually hit harder with this
technique, as Hei can make this technique stronger with his own
strength, as well as training his energy to make this power
stronger. However, this is fired in a wave at opponents, and
while it does concussive damage, it can be blocked or dodged
like any other wave. To counter this, opponents need only know
how to absorb the impact, usually with a shield or something to
use for cover to avoid the wave if they can handle the strength
of the wave.
- Proto Energy Life Force Based Techniques: Like ki users, Hei
has life force based techniques where if he runs out of energy
and is in a dangerous situation, he can focus some of his life
force into special techniques. Hei has a few special techniques
for this, including being able to self destruct his core if
desperate enough. This is a very dangerous, last ditch effort in
fights, as once he drains his life force completely, he will
die. Recovering life force isn't the same as recovering normal
energy, and while life force energy is more powerful than
normal, it also doesn't recover easily as, usually, only other
people transferring some of their life force can save someone
who has used all their life force. Just like many other users of
this, this type of technique is usually considered taboo, as
some ki users have actually killed themselves with techniques
because they were forced to resort to this. Hei would only ever
resort to this if it is more than just his life in danger, such
as friends or family, as the only reason he would use this is to
protect someone else, as using this more often than not uses up
life force, and even if he survives, it could take weeks to even
months before he recover his life force completely.
- Maximum Charge: This was based on the technique by ki users to
recharge their ki, where they power up and recharge their ki by
focusing their ki through their body quickly to generate more ki
much more quickly. Just like ki users, Hei can recharge his
energy by focusing his proto energy in a similar fashion, using
his proteum bone enhancement to amp his bodies supply of proto
energy (as long some still remains). This requires concentration
and focus, but when used, this lets Hei generate more proto
energy to replenish his proto energy supply with this type of ki
user technique, with ki users having one of the best ways to
recharge energy in a fight should they have the time and focus
to do so. This technique is very useful for recovering energy,
and if uninterrupted, Hei can get back up to full strength in
about 3 combat rounds from having almost no energy. However,
this doesn't replenish life force, and if Hei uses his vital
life force, he must recover it naturally, as this technique
cannot recover life force, and only works on normal proto energy
he can focus through his proteum bone enhancement. However, as
one might expect, this isn't instant, and opponents can
interrupt this if they know what's going on.
- Proto Energy Hardening: This is a pure defensive technique
where Hei condenses his proto energy in and around his body in a
temporary defensive pattern similar to aura lock. Hei has
different means of using this, but usually, this is designed to
defend against stronger techniques and attacks that normal
defense can't handle. Usually, this concentrates towards the
front, in which Hei can bring up his arms in front of him to
generate his proto energy in a defensive pattern. Hei is even
skilled enough to focus it into his hand to help catch attacks.
This is a very useful technique for blocking attacks
temporarily, but takes more energy to use and hold in place,
meaning it's only useful when absolutely needed due to the
stamina and energy cost of the technique. This technique isn't
really too much different from the aura lock technique,
including the fact that Hei has to stay still while focusing
this technique, as this requires a bit of focus to use. While
Hei is pretty advanced, he's not advanced enough to be able to
move while using this technique like some more advanced ki users
can.
- Proto Attack Focus: Through advanced ki-like training, Hei can
focus his proto energy into a single point of attack,
concentrating his energy more so he can damage only what he want
to damage. Not only does this let him save energy by not wasting
energy, but also lets him break defenses more easily where he is
able to break things like aura defense, dragon skin or other
defense techniques much more easily. This is a highly advanced
technique only high level ki users are able to master (or ki
substitutes), and requires not just energy concentration, but
martial arts knowledge and practice. This skill is very useful
when mastered though, as it helps concentrate ki into attacks,
rather than just spreading the attack over a large area where it
won't do as much damage. Hei could essentially punch through a
boulder, leaving only a hole where his fist punched through, and
not much bigger in size. But while this is effective, it does
require Hei to be focused, and using his martial arts
effectively in order to use this properly.
- Proto Energy Form Focus: Ki users tried to replicate aura
user's armor skill, but instead of aura, they use ki for this
technique which Hei learned to substitute his red proto energy
for. This uses his red proto energy attack focus ability, where
it uses energy to attack an opponent to negate the form they're
in. By focusing the energy into his point of attack, he can
attack intangible and other immaterial form opponents, by
attacking their form's directly using his proto energy. This
works just like one would expect, with the energy attack being
able to attack opponents no matter the form they're in, as
things like intangibility and elemental form can be attacked
with the right strategy. Though this is separate from the proto
energy attack focus technique, and has to be used separately, as
this is a more advanced technique designed to allow Hei to be
able to attack someone no matter the form, as things like haki
users, and aura defense/form negation become more common. Of
course, stronger ki users or users of similar skills can defend
against this if they have stronger energy to block this
technique, though against Hei's proto energy, one has to be sure
that their energy is stronger before attempting to overpower his
energy attack.
Red Proto Energy Techniques:
- Proto Buster: This is a technique where Hei fires blasts of
his red proto energy at opponents. He fires these blasts from
his hands, similar to ki blasts. Hei can fire small energy
blasts, or charge up his attacks to fire a much larger blast.
Depending on how long he charges, he can fire a charged shot
which does far more damage. These are simple blasts designed to
hit opponents and the energy explodes in bursts of red proto
energy when they hit. These attacks are designed to be a way to
attack opponents from a distance using his proto energy, and
these attacks can do proto energy damage as well as being able
to do concussive damage when the blasts explode, making the
blasts able to do more damage as a result. It takes time to
charge up an attack, and the more power he needs, the longer he
has to charge. He also has to be careful of the limits of his
proto energy core as firing blasts too strong can use up vital
power he needs to survive.
- Proto Lightning Buster: This attack is similar to the
technique chidori, where it focuses lightning and condenses it,
focusing it for a piercing attack. Similar to how the chidori is
used, this lightning is condensed to be able to pierce defenses,
using this technique to usually break through shields and armors
with an attack that amps strength and speed. This comes in a few
forms. The first is the simple form, focused through his hand
and uses his hand as a conduit for the energy. The second fires
it as a spear from his hand, designed to spear an opponent from
a distance, using this technique as it's base to pierce armors
and shields. The second is where Hei can fire a collection of
small spears at opponent in a flurry atack that can hit multiple
enemies or attack one enemy with more attacks than normal. This
attack can be modified a few different ways, and for Hei, this
uses his red proto heat lightning, which can damage even
lightning users. And due to the proto energy, this is typically
stronger than most chidori style techniques. However, this can
still be dodged, or countered by strong enough energy.
- Proto Sword/Heat Lightning Blade: This technique ignites an
energy construct sword from Hei's wrist made of red proto
energy. This creates a sword he can use instead of his proto
saber and red lotus saber, as this weapon can attack much faster
than either of his sabers and is generated by his proto energy.
This can also be empowered by his proto heat lightning, or Hei
can create a blade purely made of proto heat lightning. This
sword is able to also concentrate his concentrated piercing
attacks by focusing more energy into this blade. This weapon is
more powerful than typical energy blades due to the proto
energy's normally higher power output. For the most part, this
blade is best used in combination with the piercing attack,
since Hei's weapons normally do well enough on their own.
However, while his sword is faster and more durable, it also
uses his proto energy to keep active, and constant attacks could
possibly break the sword if they overpower the weapon. This also
means weapons like aura breakers can break through this weapon
more easily.
- Proto Burning Slash: This is a move where Hei uses his proto
sword to slash an opponent multiple times as a combo attack,
then fire a blast of proto energy to finish them off. This
attack can be powerful or weak depending on the strength of the
sword slashes, and can be made more powerful if Hei uses his red
lotus saber instead of his proto sword. This technique is
designed to be used in one fluid combo, where the sword attacks
and the ending blast all happen in quick succession. When using
the sword slash combo, the sword is empowered by red proto
energy, amplifying it's cutting power and letting it do more
damage to opponent. Those who are usually cut to pieces by this
and blasted are usually blasted in a way that Hei tries to
destroy every piece of them (if they're hit by it). As it may
sound, an opponent could block this if they can block his
weapons, or they simply need dodge the attack. If the opponent
dodges, then usually Hei will stop the combo so he can do a
different attack.
- Proto Sword Claw: This technique is a sword technique which
uses proto sword attacks to fire proto energy sword slashes at
opponents. This is designed to be used in a combo, or can be
used in one powerful wave, designed for attacking at medium to
long range. This technique is also a dimension cutter attack,
and can be used to slice through dimensions and allow travel to
other dimensions. However, Hei doesn't always have control of
which dimension he cuts into and where he may go if he ends up
going through the tear he creates. This is more of a combat
attack he can use to slice through opponents armors and
defenses. Though fast opponents can dodge the attack, and the
further away the attack is used, the more easily it's dodged.
However, he can open up tears to go to other places within a
dimension with great accuracy and can use this in place of
teleportation techniques as long as he's not traveling between
dimensions.
- Proto Beam Slash: Using this, Hei can ignite a long beam sword
from his two front fingertips, which is made of red proto
energy. The attack is meant to spear an opponent, then toss them
into the air, either allowing Hei to slash again to try and
finish an opponent, or he can fire off a different attack while
the opponent is still recovering from the attack. This attack
lets Hei usually stun an opponent if they are speared by it, and
though it is small enough to not really be fatal if not hit in a
vital point, it still works for catching an opponent, and being
able to move the blade around while this technique is active.
Usually, this technique is designed to toss an opponent into the
air and then Hei does another attack. The spear that comes out
of Hei's fingertips is a long proto energy blade-like attack
that can extend as long as Hei can make the attack. If an
opponent is caught in this, they can break out with enough
power, or just dodge this altogether to avoid being speared in
the first place. This is a strong attack, but can be overcome by
strong opponents.
- Proto Rain: One of his tougher moves, Hei slashes the air with
his red energy, leaving a trail that then explodes into small
red proto energy spears which attack the opponent. Usually this
move is meant to be used from above, as it's meant for the
spears to rain down on the opponent. When Hei uses this, his
saber slash leaves behind an energy trail, which the trail then
generates the energy for this attack. This attack is usually
used from above, or from below for it's best effect, since this
attack is designed to attack in a flurry, but angling of the
attack is very important for this move to work properly.
However, this move can be dangerous as allies can be caught in
this. He only uses this usually when his allies aren't around
and there's no one else to get in the way of the attack. This
attack is dodgable or blockable by those with strong enough
energy defenses though.
- Proto Shining Red Slash: This move uses Hei's Proto Sword
power to slash an opponent with a power move. This attack uses a
single slash, which is chargable using Hei's red proto energy.
This attack simple charges energy and then, once Hei has
gathered enough power, Hei simply just unleashes the slash on an
opponent. As one might imagine, this is best used at close
range, though Hei can fire this from a distance at an opponent
using a wave of proto energy generated by the attack as a
powerful slashing wave. This attack is designed to cut through
an enemy, armor and all when used. Against stronger enemies, Hei
can charge this if he needs more power to break through stronger
opponent's defenses. The amount of damage done is determined by
how long this attack is charged. This attack, while powerful, is
easy enough to dodge if the opponent knows it's coming. This
attack can be fired off almost instantly, but does far less
damage if it's not charged.
- Proto Flash Wave: This attack is best used from above, where
Hei does a downward punch into the ground below him. This can be
used to strike an opponent below him, but it's main purpose is
to hit the ground and release a large shockwave around Hei that
fires off attack waves all around him in a large wave. The waves
are separated so that they can still be dodged, but are harder
to dodge due to the waves going in all directions around Hei. As
a result, this is best used when Hei is facing a group of
opponents. This can be used from the air above an opponent, or
Hei can use it from the ground to just directly strike the
ground and release this wave. Usually, being farther away from
Hei makes this easier to dodge, with the attack being better
suited for close combat rather than being far away. The
individual slashing waves released from this are small, and
usually not fatal though, so most opponents usually don't have
to worry too much about this attack. This was based on Omega's
Omega flash wave, but is not as strong as Omega's.
- Heat Lightning Dragon Punch: This was based on the ki
technique Super Dragon Fist, which uses ki to take the shape of
a dragon to power through opponents. Hei's variation of this
technique lets him use a punch to fire a red heat lightning
dragon, designed for overpowering opponents. The dragon is
strong enough to blast through opponents, armor and all. When
used, the dragon acts sort of like a beam attack of energy,
where those inside are blasted by the energy similar to a ki
beam or a cero attack. This technique is designed to kill
opponents with it, and can pierce through opponents if Hei puts
enough power into it. This attack is a final attack designed to
finish off opponents who have been weakened through battle, and
can punch through an opponent. However this technique does
require a lot of power from Blues to use, and opponents can
still dodge the attack. Blocking usually isn't a good idea when
faced with this attack, but it is possible if the opponent is
strong enough to handle the attack.
- Proto Core Detonate: In an extreme situation, Hei can overload
his power core and self destruct to take out an opponent by
converting his life force into pure proto energy to overload his
core. As the name implies, this technique is a final last ditch
effort, and can obviously only be used once. However the blast
from his special power core will obliterate anything caught in
the blast from the sheer concentration of energy. If Hei were to
use this, he'd attempt to grab an enemy so he could blow the
enemy up at close range, or only use this if the opponent was
close enough they couldn't escape the explosion. The only way to
avoid being destroyed by this attack is to not be in range of
the blast as this can overpower defenses and energy barriers due
to how much power is put out. However, as one might imagine,
this is a technique that can only be done once, and doing it
means death for Hei. The attack is guaranteed death for anyone
who is caught in it, but it is also guaranteed death for Hei
whether the opponent is caught in the attack or not.
Darkfire Elemental Magic Training:
- Human Elemental Magic Masters: In this universe, the Darkfires
were a human family of high level magic users. They had such a
mastery of elemental magic that they developed elemental
regeneration, elemental aura and converting the magic in their
body to elemental magic to use their Darkfire abilities. For the
most part, the human Darkfires all have a mastery of elemental
magic as well as healing magic, which they combine to get their
typical elemental regeneration. All of their elemental powers
are derived from their mastery of elemental magic, and how they
use it to battle supernaturals. In addition, each Darkfire gets
their own spell book, along with their own unique set of spells
that they can use in order to fight opponents. And in addition
to these spellbooks and elemental abilities, the Darkfires also
are experienced in elemental alchemy, which changes elements and
converts them, something they use to fight supernaturals. As one
might expect though, the Darkfires elemental abilities are still
counterable like any other elemental ability, and those familiar
with other universes' Darkfire abilities will find these are
pretty much the same except they are powered by magic and not
vampire or demon power like most universes.
- Dark/Holy Elementals: Similar to other universe Darkfires,
this universe's Darkfires use elementals mostly the same way, in
which they concentrate their magic using the positive and/or
negative power of their souls and combining it with their
elements to amp the elemental magic. Most Darkfires all have
different abilities, where many have different elementals
depending on their natural affinities. Most usually start with
dark flames, which are an element quite common in Darkfire
affinities due to the clan being based in the dark flames.
Depending on the elemental, some might have special abilities,
like holy flames being able to heal others, or dark lightning
being able to use darkness as a conductor. Depending on the
Darkfire and how they use it, they are also sometimes able to
combine elementals or sometimes even combine other abilities
with their elements. In combination with their unique
spell-sets, one can usually expect a different elemental setup
with almost every Darkfire as many find unique ways to use their
power. For the most part, most Darkfires usually have up to
three-four dark/holy elemental combination (two different
manipulations of the same element would count as two
manipulations). This does not count any combined elementals or
unique power combinations however. Elementals can change
overtime depending on how the Darkfire changes, but this
requires retraining their affinities, which is something that
has to be done over time.
- Mana Conversion to Elemental Magic: Similar to how mystic
knights train themselves to passive convert mana into magic,
Darkfires trained in the mystic arts do the same thing, where
Daniel created a type of training that converts one's mana into
elemental magic, which flows through the body just like mana.
This is designed to not only make elemental magic easier to
summon, but is also resistance to magic negation abilities due
to the magic already being present in the body. Depending on the
Darkfire, they are able to learn this after they learn their
elementals so that they can convert their mana into their
specific elementals they will use. In addition, this also makes
Darkfire defense or regeneration easier, due to Darkfires having
these elemental magics running through them, they heal faster
and typically take less damage (More on Darkfire
Regeneration/Defense later). This power requires a mastery of
magic before it can be used, and the ability to be able to
convert mana to magic. This can be changed depending on the
Darkfire though, as some can do things like using chi magic or
spirit/soul magic and convert their power into elemental magic
similarly, but this is much harder to do and would require the
Darkfire to learn how to convert their power on their own.
- Mana Conversion to Elemental Magic: Similar to how mystic
knights train themselves to passive convert mana into magic,
Darkfires attempted to do the same thing, where the Darkfires
created a type of training that converts one's mana into
elemental magic, which flows through the body just like mana
just like mystic knights. This is designed to not only make
elemental magic easier to summon, but is also resistant to magic
negation abilities due to the magic already being present in the
body. Depending on the Darkfire, they are able to learn this
after they learn their elementals so that they can convert their
mana into their specific elementals they will use. In addition,
this also makes Darkfire defense or regeneration easier, due to
Darkfires having these elemental magics running through them,
they heal faster and typically take less damage (More on
Darkfire Regeneration/Defense later). This power requires a
mastery of magic before it can be used, and the ability to be
able to convert mana to magic. This can be changed depending on
the Darkfire though, as some can do things like using chi magic
or spirit/soul magic and convert their power into elemental
magic similarly, but this is much harder to do and would require
the Darkfire to learn how to convert their power on their own.
- Magic Glyphs: This is a power that forms a basis for the
Darkfire's elemental alchemy's power. These glyphs focus power
into the circle, which is then used by the user to focus normal
alchemy techniques. While they have unique alchemy techniques
that don't need this, this is more for general alchemy like
changing elements (IE Lead to gold). This power utilizes magic,
but requires that the user know how elements are formed and what
they're made of in order to be able to do this. This is a basic
power that some magic users are able to use, and this particular
use of the magic glyph is not too much different. Among using
them for focusing magic attacks, they also have other functions,
such as being able to use them as platforms to jump off of and
stand on, or use them for amping attacks and defense, or even
using them to amp allies. These glyphs are quite useful,
depending on the Darkfire and their skill level at using them.
This simply depends on the Darkfire and how they use their
power. This power is a fairly basic magic ability, and although
strong, can be countered just like other people who use this
ability. This is more of a versatile base ability, and one that
focuses different magic techniques rather than being a different
type of magic unto itself.
- Alchemy Elementals: The Darkfires, being master elemental
users, are able to manipulate the elements in their base form.
While they can't create special elementals or combined
elementals in typical elemental form, they can utilize some
elements in their base form. Depending on the Darkfire, they are
able to do certain things like manipulate the properties of
elementals, being able to do things like freezing certain
attacks by changing the temperature of the attack when they
catch it, or being able to convert certain attacks like
converting air into water. This depends on the Darkfire and
their affinities, with all Darkfires learning how to use this in
some way. For the most part, this power relies on the Darkfires
understanding of elements, rather than on their ability to use
elements in battle. Because of this, this power can be used to
convert elements, but elements can still hurt the user, since
this power doesn't really grant elemental use, but more allows
users to take control of elementals through conversion. Most
Darkfires usually have to do this in close proximity, as alchemy
usually has a max distance that it can be used. And while most
Darkfires are able to learn how most elements work, Darkfires
still have to know the attack is coming, and they often have to
concentrate to convert an element. If an opponent is careful,
they can attack the user while they're trying to convert an
attack if they take too long, or the opponent is smart about how
they use their elementals to distract the user.
- Alchemic Matter Conversion: Darkfire elemental users are able
to convert matter through elemental alchemy, changing matter as
they see fit. This can be as simple as turning lead to gold, or
dispelling elemental energies or converting them. An alchemist,
if they know their environment and composition of what they're
manipulating, can use it to convert matter. This is the main
ability of alchemy alongside it's spellbooks. While this does
cover elementals to some extent, this is far more than just
converting elementals, but includes general changing of matter,
such as changing the form of a metal to make a stronger metal,
or weakening certain materials if they are trying to weaken
armor or weapons (though certain types of weapons and armor
might be immune to this ability if the Darkfire doesn't know how
the power of the weapon or armor/shield works. There are two
aspects to this power, and that is change of form and change of
shape. Changing the shape can simply change the shape of
something, and changing the form changes the matter into
something else. However, they do have to know not only what
they're manipulating, but also what they're manipulating it
into. This means that if they try to manipulate a substance they
don't understand, or don't know what the thing they're trying to
convert is made of, this power doesn't work properly, and often
completely fails or rebounds on the user.
- Spellbook (Unique Powers): Every Darkfire magic user has their
own spellbook. The process for getting this book is easier than
it sounds, as all it takes is giving an enchanted blank book of
the Darkfire magic users to a Darkfire. Once the Darkfire's
elemental essence is imprinted onto the book, it becomes a
unique book which grants it's user a unique set of spells using
alchemy based on the essence and the affinities. Every book is
different, and spells in it slowly unlock over time. Every book
starts out with one spell, but as they grow in power and mind,
the right balance of power, mind and spirit will start unlocking
spells. Spellbooks are unique to each person, with even those in
families who have similar spellsets having different spells.
These spells could be anything depending on the essence the
spellbook is given, with some people getting elemental
spellbooks, some getting physical enhancement spellbooks, or
some even getting specific alchemy types. Most alchemists never
know what they're going to get when they first get their book,
as it's never certain if a Darkfire will inherit similar powers
from their family, or if they will gain completely different
powers. However, each spell requires a different combination of
mind, body, spirit and will, which makes it hard to tell what
one needs for each spell. Some spells can be gained easily if
the user is determined enough, or some may require the user to
get stronger physically. Usually, this has something to do with
the spell itself, as some spells may require specific stats
increased to use effectively, or just needing to grow a Darkfire
in their abilities more. This is another thing that is always
unique among Darkfire. Hei actually does have a spellbook, but
there are no spells in it. Hei never figured out why this is,
but he has not been able to gain spells through any of the
Darkfire spellbooks, and all his spells end up blank.
- Connect Spellbook to Self: A Darkfire's magic spellbook is
connected to their soul, and only needs to be summoned when the
Darkfire wants to summon their book. Not only does this help for
storage, but this keeps the spellbook from being destroyed by
opponents. Though the user can't look at the book to read spells
while the spellbook is not manifested, and has to manifest it in
order to read new spells. However, keeping the book from being
physical manifested is quite useful, as the Darkfire won't have
to worry about their book getting destroyed, which remove their
book entirely, forcing them to start from scratch in terms of
gaining spells. Most Darkfires keep their spellbook stored away,
only pulling it out now and then to check for new spells. Should
their book be manifested, the user will often sense and notice
the book shining when a new spell becomes active/usuable, but
cannot sense or notice this if the book is stored away. Of
course, this is still a very useful skill, since most Darkfire
never want to risk their books being destroyed and losing their
set of spells. This essentially uses a pretty common
supernatural ability normally used for connecting weapons to
someone, but Darkfire consider their spellbooks more important
than their weapons.
- Dark Flame Magic: This is most Darkfire's first elemental, in
which they specialize in dark flames after which the family was
named. This is a dark flame power which combines the negative
energy in the spirit with flame magic to create a darkness based
flame that burns hotter than typical flames, and is even able to
consume other flames that burn at normal flame levels. This is a
flame type power that lets the user do things like creating
fireballs, creating explosive attacks, and burning things
through physical touch. The Darkfires that use this are also
able to convert normal flames into dark flames and convert the
flames into their power. The dark flames are a dark type flames
which can be countered with holy/light equivalents. These flames
are also counterable by anything that counters fire,
specifically things like water/ice manipulation.
- Holy Lightning Magic: This is Hei's second elemental, which
uses his positive spirit energy combined with lightning magic.
Hei is able to use this as his second elemental, which can be
used to attack opponents using holy lightning. This is not true
holy power, but more just the positive energy that is combined
with the lightning to create a positive power of lightning. This
lightning can be used to do things like firing blasts of
lightning, creating piercing concentrated lightning, and
electrocuting people through physical touch. This lightning is
able to absorb and convert normal lightning, which can be
converted into power for Hei to use. Holy lightning is able to
use positive energies like holy energy and other positive spirit
energies as a conductor, as well as using normal conductors.
This skill also allows the use of magnetic abilities and
manipulating magnetic fields to affect things that are magnetic.
Darkfire Training:
- Dark Flame Magic Aura: Darkfires, like one would expect, have
elemental magic auras, which allow them to radiate elemental
magic from their auras. The Darkfires, being masters of
elemental magic, converted this to radiate specific elements
they use, and each Darkfire is able to radiate their own
element. This aura helps dampen attacks the Darkfire takes in a
fight, as well as being able to generate elemental attacks.
Depending on the aura, some auras can also do other things, like
the aura being able to amp a Darkfire's elemental regeneration
if the two use the same element (which many Darkfires do for
this reason). The auras of the Darkfires work in two stages,
where they are able to switch between a passive and active aura.
The passive aura is usually a suppressed aura, which usually
just acts minimally due to the body expelling magic naturally.
This uses less power, but is less effective for things like
defense and attack. The active aura actively radiates more
elemental power, allowing Darkfires to use the active aura
specifically in fights. This adds defense and offense
capabilities, and is the easiest to use aura based attacks. This
is also when the aura is the most visible.
- Dark Flame Rebirth: This ability is one of the main abilities
the Darkfires learned that made them well known among
supernaturals and other magic users. They were able to combine
healing magic with their elemental magic to create a
regenerative magic that can be powered by elemental magic in
order to heal them passively when they are injured. This runs on
the elemental chosen for their regeneration, and allows a
Darkfire to regenerate quickly from injuries. Most Darkfires are
able to regenerate things like cuts or bruises extremely
quickly, as well as being able to regenerate lost limbs and
certain lost or damaged organs. This is powered by the
Darkfire's elemental power, and the element chosen will
passively heal them without the Darkfire having to do anything.
And depending on the element chosen, some Darkfire regenerations
can be unique, such as a white healing flame being able to heal
with less magic used. These elementals are fixed and cannot be
changed without retraining their regeneration, which can take up
to a month. These regeneration abilities are also slowed or
interrupted by counter elements, such as ice countering a flame
regeneration, or metals like varanium completely interrupting
regeneration.
- Dark Flame Teleportation Glyph Magic: Rather than using
typical teleportation, the Darkfires created special
teleportation glyphs that the Darkfire magic arts would use for
teleportation. Unlike typical teleportation, these glyphs,
whether small or large can teleport anything that activates the
glyph. The glyph then teleports to it's destination, which is
preprogrammed into the glyph through the user's magic. The user
simply has to figure out where they want to go, and know where
they are going, and they can use this glyph spell. This spell
has more uses than just teleporting though, even though it can
be used to teleport one or a group where they want to go. In
battle, these glyphs can be used for defense in which it
teleports attacks or enemies who hit the glyph where the user
wants. This is useful for taking fights to other areas, or for a
Darkfire to use this to counter projectile attacks by
teleporting them away. When a Darkfire uses this, it always uses
the glyph, which appears in the form of whatever elemental is
focused into their teleportation.
- Elemental Familiars Magic: This is another advanced technique
of the Darkfires, in which they are able to use any of their
elements to create elemental familiars to help them in battle.
When used, they use their elemental and a portion of their
spirit energy to connect themselves to the familiar, letting
them process what the familiar percieves, which makes the
elementals very useful for things like spying on people or
scouting out an area. When used in battle, these familiars can
be used to fight opponents, in which, depending on the element,
can use special abilities on opponents, such as flame familiars
being able to burn opponents or shoot fireballs, or ice
familiars being able to freeze opponents and fire ice attacks.
Each elemental familiar is made up purely of an element, and can
take whatever form the Darkfire wants. This means that each
elemental familiar technique could be different, depending on
what the type of familiar the Darkfire wants to make. Depending
on the familiar, the familiars can also have attributes from
what they're made as, such as bird familiars being able to fly,
and wolf-like or tiger-like familars having claws, or snakes
that specialize in using their elemental touch (Such as
electrocution, burning or freezing respectively) to damage
opponents through constriction. Of course, as one might expect,
the counters to the elements remains the same, such as ice
freezing a fire familiar or water shorting out a lightning
familiar. And the more familiars made, the less power that each
familiar has, as having multiple familiars reduces the power
since having more means more energy has to be put out to
maintain the familiars.
- Elemental Touch: This ability is dependant on the elementals
used by the Darkfires. This lets a Darkfire use their touch to
use their elemental power on someone. This is more useful with
some elements than others, and depending on the element used,
some elements can do different things. Fire users are able to
burn and melt things through physical touch, ice users are able
to freeze things on physical touch, lightning users are able to
electrocute things using physical touch, wind users are able to
slice through things with their attacks, and earth users are
able to manipulate earthly elements through touch, like
absorbing metal and other elements from touching an object or
change the form of an object through touch. Some who use this
are able to do different things depending on the element, with
more advanced users having more techniques using this power. Of
course, the Darkfire can only use the touch powers of their own
elements, and depending on how skilled they are, certain
Darkfires may be able to do more with their elemental touch
ability. However, this does require physical touch to use, and
some users can only use this on certain things (like earth users
only being able to influence physical objects and not really do
anything to people through touch). Some have even built combat
styles around this power.
- Elemental Magic Combat Amplification and Ability Enhance: With
the Darkfire's magic abilities, they are able to use the
elemental magic running through them to amplify their combat
power, and enhance their supernatural abilities. This is similar
to typical elemental amplification, where the Darkfire uses this
to amp their physical abilities and supernatural abilities, but
use elemental magic instead of typical elementals. This power
also uses power similar to a mystic knight's, where the magic
running through the body creates a passive amplification of
abilities. This can also be used to draw more elementals inwards
or focus power through the body more easily to amp the body
further as well, using elemental power to enhance the body's
power. This is best used when absorbing outside elementals, such
as a flame user using different flames to empower themselves.
This amplification works as long as the power is there to use
for amplification, and amps not just physical abilities, but any
supernatural abilities outside of magic as well. However, this
only works as long as there is magic to power this
amplification.
- Elemental Shapeshift Magic: This was a power that was passed
to the Darkfires, who harnessed this power through simple
shapeshifting magic. This allows a Darkfire take elemental form
and shapeshift as an elemental. They are able to turn into
creatures similar to their familiars, or just become a mass of
elemental power. They are able to do this with any of their
elementals, though most usually focus on one elemental that they
often change to. In this form, they have the same strengths and
weaknesses as their elemental, but are able to reform their
bodies more easily in elemental form. These forms can be any of
the elemental forms that the Darkfires have. Depending on what
they chose, they can take forms based on how they shift their
bodies. And depending on the elemental forms, some forms can
have effects on people, such as a lightning form being able to
shock/electrocute people through physical touch, or a flame form
being able to burn people. This is mostly dependent on how
creative the Darkfire is with their power. Of course, as one
might expect, while in this form, the Darkfire may reform more
easily and are not as easy to damage, but they also take far
more damage from counter elements, with some having major
weaknesses to certain elements. For example, it might be
possible to kill a Darkfire in lightning form by using a flood
of water to short-circuit the Darkfire's lightning energy, and
if it is all dispelled before they change back, they will die.
It's also possible to use skills like Haki, Pai Zhua, and the
Darkfire elemental attack spirit power to do damage to people
even in elemental form.
- Unique Elemental Form: The Black Wolf: This is Hei's unique
elemental form he spends most of his time in. This is a dark
flame wolf that is powered by Hei's dark flame magic. Hei uses
this form since it's main advantage is that his normal body
isn't manifested and isn't affected by anything he does in this
form. Usually, he stays in this form since he can avoid the pain
of his normal body, and he can remain in wolf form so that he
can more easily attack opponents. In this form, he is made up of
dark flames, which can attack as a solid or flame-like form.
Usually, Hei can manipulate this form so it only burns people
when he wants to, since he doesn't always want to burn people.
In this form, he gains highly enhanced wolf senses, where his
most enhanced senses are his hearing, sight and smell. He has
the sense of smell of a wolf, being able to tell what anything
is around him by smell alone. This form can not only release
Hei's dark flames, but he can also use his lightning while in
this form. Normally he can reform this form as many times as
needed as long as he has the magic to do so, and this form is
not destroyable unless Hei is forced out of it, or he's attacked
with a counter element (which does damage to him). The best way
to force Hei out of this form is with a counter element, or
making him use up enough energy that he decides he shouldn't
waste more on keeping the form. The best counter element is
water or ice, though certain other counter elements can also do
damage to him directly. And sometimes, Hei's wolf-like instincts
take over, such as being territorial or protective of those
close to him. He usually keeps these in check, but sometimes has
to concentrate to suppress certain instincts.
- Unique Elemental Form Sustenance: Each elemental form,
depending on the elemental and on the Darkfire, is often able to
sustain themselves on things differently than they do as a
normal human. Each form has it's own unique ability for
sustenance, in addition to some other forms that the Darkfire
can do to keep their power restored. For the most part,
Darkfires who opt to stay in their unique forms often simply
have to keep their power up, which usually involves doing normal
things like eating and sleeping. Usually, Darkfires don't have
to do anything too complex in order to maintain these forms if
they want to unless they use their power through battle and run
low on power. While Darkfires can still recharge on their own
elemental, such as a dark flame form being able to recharge on a
normal fire, some can also recharge more energy by other
methods, such as a flame user being able to eat and burn up
anything to keep their flame form burning, or a water user
drinking water to maintain their form. Each form is different,
and some can even do things like eating normal food to survive,
assuming they can gain sustanence or use it in restoring their
power in some way. Many darkfires even find other ways to do
this, such as absorbing mana from the air to replenish their
magic power, or come up with unique abilities, such as a bat
form using blood as a power source. This is different depending
on the Darkfire. For Hei, he just eats food that he can burn up
and use to fuel his form. Hei can eat almost anything, and once
it reaches his stomach, the food eaten is burned up as fuel for
his dark flame form. He can also replenish his power for this
form by staying near flames and drawing off the power of the
flames.
- Elemental Sense: A technique developed in the Darkfire
elemental training that lets the user sense all the elements
around them. This was designed to be the same as the aura sense,
but ended up being a bit more unique. This lets the user sense
the elements around them, which not only include their elements,
but other elementals as well. This includes letting them sense
their opponents because mortals are all made up of earthly
elements. And by studying how mortals channel different actions,
they can use this elemental sense to not only sense where and
what mortals are by their elemental makeup, but also lets them
predict their opponents by reading how their elements move when
they attack. This essentially reads how the body operates,
letting the user have a sense of what attacks their opponent is
going to use. Though unlike the aura sense which reads the
spirit, this is a little less reliable in terms of predicting
combat attacks, but easily lets the user sense supernatural
abilities and attacks as they're created in the body or outside
the body, giving this a better edge against supernatural
abilities than a normal aura sense.
- Elemental Armor Defense Skill: This technique replaces the
aura armor skill, instead replaced by an elemental variation
that uses an elemental power to condense and defend against
attacks. This acts as a defense, but also can be used to attack
people depending on the element used. Things like flames and
lightning can do damage to opponents if they hit the defense
through either burning or electrocuting respectively. This skill
is designed for defense, but like the aura armor skill, this
does require a lot of power to keep in place for extended
periods. While it does amp defense, it's not practical to use to
cover the whole body, as if it's used that way, it takes far to
much energy to hold in place. This means that it's only meant to
be used as a reaction to an attack that can't be dodged, and the
user should only use what they need for the defense and not
waste extra power defending parts of the body not being
attacked. And just like aura armor defense, this can be
instantly broken by stronger uses of similar skills, stronger
attacks that are stronger than the defense, and through use of
aura breaker weapons. However, as this is an elemental power, it
also has a weakness to uridium, a supernatural hunting metal
designed to dispel elementals.
- Elemental Armor Offense Skill (Attack Deflection and Form
Negation): This is the offensive aspect of the elemental armor
skill, one which uses it's offensive properties. There are two
main uses of this skill. The first is to use it to hit attacks
away, including exploding attacks, using their elemental armor
defense to simply reflect the momentum of the attack. This
technique is designed to hit attacks either safely away, or to
hit them back at an opponent. The second is a special technique
known as form negation, where the user can focus their elemental
power into their attacks to damage opponents no matter what form
they are in by focusing the spirit energy portion of their
Darkfire elemental power. This hurts them no matter what form
they're in as if they were solid, not requiring a counter power.
However, it is possible for those with stronger energy defense
to block this technique if they have a similar defense skill
like haki, Pai Zhua or certain types of chi training. And just
like the defensive skill, this techniques effects can be
instantly dispelled by energy dispelling or aura breaker weapons
and powers. And of course, as an elemental power, uridium is
also something that can be used on this power to dispel it.
Dark Flame Techniques:
- Dark Flame Mirror: This technique creates a large defensive
shield of dark flames. This is designed to block attacks,
melting almost anything that comes into contact with the flame
wall. This wall creates a solid barrier, despite it's flame-like
appearance. Hei can either generate this as a large wall, or
create a barrier around himself with this power. While the
energy is strong enough to block projectile attacks, enough
force can break the wall or barrier, as stronger opponents with
more powerful projectiles can break through this power. This is
also easily breakable with aura breaker weapons or anything that
dispels elemental energies. Should he require more power, Hei
can also use this with his dark distortion flames, but this
requires more power. However, using his dark distortion flames
does make the skill more effective as the wall can distort space
time to warp the attack away instead of just blocking it.
- Dark Molten Metal Manipulation: Hei learned to use his dark
flames to melt metal, then control the molten metal using his
dark flame, turning it into darkness element molten metal that
he can control while the metal is melted and in it's molten
state. This is a simple manipulation, where Hei manipulates the
heat in the metal, fusing the two elements together into one.
And Hei can revert the metal to normal again by removing the
heat from the metal, solidifying it. Though once he does, he has
to melt it again to control it. Opponents can counter this by
simply cooling the metal, as once it loses it's molten
properties, it cannot be controlled. Though Hei can then
manipulate it using his magnetic manipulation, making metal not
too useful against him.
- Dark Flame Double Soul: Using this, Hei creates dark flame
clones which can help him in battle. Usually, this power is
meant to be used where the clone is created in front of him as
Hei is attacking, attacking the opponent to catch them off guard
so Hei can attack them from behind the clone as either the clone
will be dispelled by a hit, or the clone will attack, then
disperse so Hei can get an attack in while the opponent is
trying to recover. This technique is meant to be a quick clone
attack technique. The best way for opponents to avoid this is to
simply be aware of Hei and the clone's attack, assuming the
opponent can keep track of both. Though Hei often uses the
hiding spot behind the clone so the opponent can't see the
attacks he sets up as the clone attacks.
- Dark Fire Fist: This technique is very similar to the chidori
technique, where Hei concentrates the flames in his fist into a
highly concentrated attack designed to pierce armors and heavy
defenses. These flames are designed to melt almost anything they
hit, as the technique is designed to melt defenses to make
piercing easier. This technique takes what appears to be a
simple punch and turns it into an attack designed to punch
through even a solid steel wall. However, while powerful,
opponents can still dodge this technique, as it still requires
Hei to hit them to pierce their defenses. This can also be
countered by other techniques like the chidori, including
variations designed in other elementals. Of course, concentrated
ice can also counter this, if one concentrates ice the same way.
This is a combat technique which is very effective.
- Dark Flame Burst: This is an impact technique which blasts an
opponent with dark flames. This technique fires a blast of dark
flames, which does heavy impact damage when it hits an opponent.
This power is designed solely for physical impact, doing mostly
physical damage with minimal dark flame damage. When used, this
technique can hit with the force of a car when it hits an
opponent at full power. If it's not strong enough, Hei can
charge the technique further so it can do more damage against
stronger opponents, but this requires charging time if he does.
This power is quite useful in physical combat, as it can be used
similarly to shockwave techniques.
- Dark Firebolt: This technique fires bolts of concentrated dark
flame energy at opponents. Similar to the dark flame burst, this
is meant for impact damage, and designed for maximum knockback.
When charged, this technique is fired at opponents with
incredible speed and can blast an opponent back. The more
firebolts that are charged, the stronger the knockback, with the
full charge being five charges total. These can be used all on
one, or they can be fired individually at other opponents.
Unlike the dark flame burst, these actually spear opponents when
they hit, as they're more like dark flame spears in the form of
thin piercing projectiles rather than a ball of dark flames.
When they hit, they mostly just do minimal piercing damage, as
piercing isn't their main purpose. Of course, these can be
countered by dodging them, or just using a strong elemental
counter.
- Dark Firefly Orbs: This technique creates small fire orbs
which Hei controls similar to dark flame familiars, which fly
after an opponent. These glow with a purple light, resembling
fireflies as they fly at opponents. When they hit their
opponent, they explode in bursts of dark flames, designed to do
massive explosive damage for both dark flame damage and impact
damage. Even when hit with all of them, stronger opponents can
still survive though, as this technique is designed to barrage
an opponent or group. Though the best way to survive this is not
get hit by it. Attacking Hei will make him lose control of the
orbs temporarily, and if the orbs hit anything else, they will
also explode, which means that any projectile can be used to
destroy them. Of course, it's also advisable not to get too
close to one that explodes, as their explosions are bigger than
one might think.
- Dark Flame Pillar: Using dark flames, Hei can push his flames
into the ground, and have them come up in a large dark flame
pillar from the ground underneath his opponent. This is meant to
be a surprise to opponents in which they are attacked from under
the ground. Though Hei has to control the flames to tell them
where to come up from, he can make this happen anywhere his
flames can travel too. This is a powerful technique, though it
can be dodged as the ground heats up beneath the opponent before
the flame pillar comes up from the ground. This is best used
when an opponent is stationary, as fast moving opponents who
won't stay in one place, or won't stay on the ground probably
won't be hit by this. Hei can also turn into his elemental form
and go underground, also generating this from under the ground
in his elemental form.
- Dark Dragon Explosion: This was modeled after Chaos Blast, in
which Hei charges dark flames around him in order to create an
explosion to blow up an area. This uses dark flames instead of
chaos energy, and can still do extreme damage to an area
depending on how it's charged. This attack can be used to blow
up a building if it's charged long enough. The longer Hei
charges this, he can either amp it's destructive range, or amp
it's power. However, when charging it, he can't be interrupted
while doing so. He can do small explosions in a 5 foot radius
around him without too much charging, but these don't do a lot
of damage and are only designed to blast people back. It's when
this technique is charged that it become a truly dangerous
technique.
- Dark Dragon Snap: This technique takes advantage of
manipulating the oxygen content in the air, in which it uses
oxygen to turn a small spark into a blast of dark flames. This
is designed to create explosions using minimal amounts of power,
using a finger snap to generate a spark which is then fired to
the built up oxygen content that then causes an explosion. This
technique is very useful in conserving power, yet still being
able to create explosions to damage opponents. Hei is able to
control the flames size and explosion radius by controlling the
oxygen and how much flames are created, and can generate almost
pinpoint accuracy when using this. This doesn't mean the attack
is impossible to dodge, but only that Hei can use this on an
area he wants and how he wants, usually to avoid hitting allies
if he hits an enemy with it. Opponents trying to counter this
should try to displace the air around them, usually with
something as simple as a sword slash to displace the air, making
the attack inaccurate or even ineffective. This is usually only
usuable when Hei is in human form, though he does have a slight
variation he uses where he uses his claws scraping against the
ground to generate a spark for this.
- Dark Flame Emperor: This is most effective when used after his
dark dragon explosion technique, in which the flames are
concentrated outward and then drawn back in to Hei so he can
create this final technique. He can also generate this technique
by gathering or generating dark flames, charging it himself.
This technique essentially creates a large ball of flames, which
is designed to create a large explosion of dark flames upon
impact. Depending on the charge time and how much flames he has
to work with often determines how strong and how big the dark
flame ball will be, with it's max size being able to bring down
a building. This technique is often Hei's final technique, and
is his most powerful technique where if he isn't interrupted, he
can often blow up an area with this ball of dark flames. Usually
this ball ends up being bigger than him, in which he holds it
over his head. Those who want to stop this technique must stop
him from charging it, or use a strong enough defense to defend
against the blast. This technique can cause devastation to a
city block, and can cause severe dark flame damage to anyone in
the blast range, unless they use something like a barrier that
doesn't fail during the blast.
Holy Lightning Techniques:
- Holy Magnetism Manipulation: As part of Hei's holy lightning
powers, Hei is able to control magnetism, being able to take
control of things that are magnetic or use magnetic manipulation
to influence objects. This lets him control things that are
magnetic, letting him do things like stop bullets, or change a
metal weapon's striking direction by using this power. Of
course, all one has to do to avoid this is scramble the magnetic
frequency of the weapon, as does have to lock on to the
magnetic field of the object to influence it. This can also be
used for basic influence of movement, such as slowly pulling
someone toward him, or pushing someone away from him. This
becomes easier the more conductive elements are on someone, with
armor and metal weapons being very easy to push or pull away.
Though tougher opponents can resist this power, and again, if
one can't counter it, then scrambling their own magnetic
frequency with a slight electrical charge or shock can
temporarily scramble their magnetic frequency. However, while
many things have magnetic charges, insulators can't be
manipulated, and something people don't know is that molten
metal cannot be manipulated as molten metal loses it's magnetic
charge in molten form. Water/ice can also be deionized, making
magnetic manipulation impossible. Opponents can also resist the
influence of this, with stronger opponents being able to more
easily resist this.
- Holy Magnetic Wind: By using his holy lightning to influence
magnetism, Hei is able to use this to control basic wind
attacks, using his magnetism to control the ions in the air
around him. This gives him basic wind control, using his
magnetism to create wind attacks. Since the wind is charged with
electricity, it does both wind damage and lightning damage, with
the attack being a mix of wind and lightning, being a
combination attack. Hei can create slashing attacks,
concentrated wind attacks, and use this to create small
lightning tornados to fire at opponents. Dispelling the
lightning will also dispel Hei's control of the wind though, and
opponents can still counter this like normal wind and lightning.
And wind users who are a victim of this can remove Hei's
potential control by removing magnetic charges from their wind
attacks.
- Holy Magnet Ball: This ball is designed to be thrown at
someone, and if it hits them, it magnetizes them and forces them
to be attracted to anything magnetic, turning the opponent into
a powerful magnet temporarily. If there's something like a large
metal structure nearby, the opponent can end up attracted to and
pinned to the structure. When used, this technique is designed
to trap an opponent, not really doing any physical damage, but
instead just making movement difficult, and trapping them if
there's something around them that they can use to trap the
opponent. While Hei can use this technique anywhere, it's
useless unless there's metal objects around to trap an opponent,
or something large that the opponent can be attracted to such as
a large metal structure like a metal beam or a metal wall. If
there's not, then this technique is pretty much useless if
there's nothing to attract (AKA using this somewhere like in the
forest).
- Holy Magnet Shield: This lets Hei create a magnetic shield,
letting him use it to block metallic or objects with a magnetic
charge from getting into it. This can also counter certain
energy types. This is a barrier style where he creates a ball
around him to protect himself. Of course, non-magnetic objects
and opponents can still break through this, and powers like
water and molten metal manipulation can break through this
shield very easily. It is also possible to use things like aura
breaker weapons to break through this instantly.
- Holy Magnetic Combat: This technique uses subtle magnetic
manipulation in combat, in which Hei uses his power to push or
pull someone during a fight. This can be as simple as touch a
punch and using magnetic force to push the opponent's punch in a
different direction, or he can use less subtle techniques where
he can push or pull someone if Hei can lock on to their magnetic
signature. This is only a slight pull or push, as it's not a
powerful enough manipulation that people can't resist it if they
know what's happening. Opponents can use wind or lightning to
diffuse the magnetism technique, as all they have to do is
scramble their magnetic signature to prevent Hei from locking on
to them. Though Hei often uses this in subtle ways, like
blocking an attack and then using his magnetism manipulation to
blast someone back.
- Holy Magnetic Technology Manipulation/Disruption: Another use
of Hei's magnetism abilities is that he is able to interact with
technology, often making it do what he wants. This technique is
essentially designed to let him override technology, or disrupt
it. He can control technology to an extent, but AIs or
electromagnetic shielding can prevent him from doing this so
easily. Often, this is meant more to disrupt or control it
temporarily, and when used, Hei can control computer systems and
mechanical opponents with inadequate defense against this.
Though with more and more technology being shielded from
magnetic and electrical intereference, this has become much
harder to use in recent years with the advancements in
electromagnetic shielding.
- Holy Concentrated Lightning: This lightning technique is
designed to be used on insulators like rubber and wood, objects
that don't conduct a magnetic charge normally. When used, this
heavily concentrated lightning can run through rubber and wood
techniques, which would normally be immune to lightning. This
uses immense amounts of lightning, requiring a lot of power to
do, but Hei can use this to hurt even an earth user using wood
to try and negate his lightning. However, doing this for
extended periods can severely wear out Hei due to the amount of
electrical energy needed to do this. While it doesn't look like
much energy when Hei uses it, it uses far more energy than one
thinks in order to use this.
- Holy Lightning Blade/Chidori: This technique is pretty well
known, having been made famous among ninjas, which Qrow Darkfire
originally based the technique on. This essentially lets the
user create a concentrated lightning blade, designed solely for
piercing power over anything else. This technique is designed so
that it can pierce armor and shields, making it very dangerous
if one isn't prepared. This concentrated lightning attack can be
used in a few different forms, such as Chidori Senbon which
fires a collection of chidori spears at opponents, Chidori Spear
which forms a spear of concentrated lightning around the hand
which is fired at an opponent like an extending spear, and
Chidori Stream, which turns the user into a conduit of
concentrated lightning which pushes back opponents and can amp
the user's power in physical combat so they can pierce opponents
defenses using the chidori as an amp. This technique is still
best dodged rather than blocked, as this was designed for
piercing defenses, so it can pierce most defenses unless one has
specific defenses designed for this technique.
- Holy Lightning Ring Blade: This was a variation of another
lightning user's technique, where Hei fires a large ring of holy
lightning in front of him. Once the ring is fired, it stops not
far from him, and then fires a small collection of smaller
lightning blasts, which try to surround the opponent and
electrocute them from all sides. This technique was designed to
have the lightning track opponents, requiring fast reaction in
order to dodge, as the lightning can zigzag around to track
opponents as the lightning is controlled by Hei. This technique
is best used at medium range, but can be used at long range if
used properly. This technique is best take out by shorting out
the ring before it fires, using water or wind to short out or
dispel the ring, or dodging the ring's lightning. Attacking Hei
can also make him lose focus on controlling the lightning as
well.
- Holy Cocentrated Lightning Sword: This is similar to his dark
flame scythe, in which he creates a sword from concentrated
lightning so that he can more easily pierce opponents with his
lightning. While not as effective as his distortion flames, this
concentrated sword can be used to fire concentrated lightning
attacks, even focusing his chidori. This can slice through some
armors and shields, though isn't really meant for that as it's
meant more to generate more lightning while in contact with
metallic objects, amping itself, and allowing it to electrocute
opponents when slashed. Though it may sound intimidating, one
can block this weapon with other energy weapon equivalents, or
use something like water which can short out the lightning that
makes up the sword.
- Holy Lightning Chain: This creates a chain out of lightning,
which operates similar to what one would expect of it's
appearance. This creates a chain which Hei can use to trap
opponents, or just use in combat. This is far stronger than his
wires, designed for containing someone. And when someone is in
contact with the chains, Hei can electrocute them while they're
in contact with the chains as the chains are made of holy
lightning. Opponents trapped by this are often shocked when they
try to break out, as this is meant to contain opponents rather
than kill. If an opponent is caught in this, the best way to
break free (aside from physical force and overcoming the shock
of the electricity), is to use water or wind to short out or
dispel the lightning that forms the chains.
- Holy Lightning Turret: This uses lightning either generated by
Hei or generated from the lightning dust in his jacket, in which
he can create small bullet like projectiles, firing them in a
rapid fire fashion like a machine gun. These bullets are small
concentrated lightning projectiles designed to be fired like
bullets designed or piercing, and with the number that Hei can
make, is designed to overwhelm an opponent with numbers of small
lightning projectiles rather than hitting them with bigger
projectiles. Because of their smaller size, they are much
faster, and have almost as much piercing power as the chidori,
but because of their small size, they don't do too much damage,
usually requiring an opponent to get hit by a large number of
these to really get the most out of this technique. Hei can also
use his projectile celerity power to speed up the projectiles as
well. This technique is extremely useful in trying to attack
fast opponents due to the technique being able to be rapid fired
and using far faster projectiles than normal bullets. However,
faster opponents and people who use high speed stepping methods
can still dodge this.
- Holy Lightning Combat Amp: This uses Hei's lightning to amp
his combat abilities, letting him move faster and hit harder by
charging his body and amping his body's muscles and nerves using
the electrical charge. This is just a physical combat amp
though, and not one that amps his lightning or other vampire
abilities. Opponents with similar amp abilities can easily do
this as well. And after seeing Vera Zolnerowich in a fight while
working with the Crow Mercenaries, Hei learned to absorb other
types of lightning so that he could temporarily gain combat amps
from other lightning types, such as being able not just amp him
but to use ice through physical touch when amped by ice
lightning. Though some lightning like corrupted lightning, he
cannot absorb. Mostly he can only absorb simple lightning types,
like ice lightning, heat lightning and dark lightning. Currently
things like acid lightning and corrupted lightning do too much
damage to his body for him to absorb to use this technique.
- Holy Lightning Psychic Overload: When using this, Hei can use
physical touch to overload someone's nerves, essentially
shutting down most of their nerves for movement. This is
designed partially to immobilize, or interrupt someone's ability
to send nerve signals through their body, often confusing the
body on what signals are to do what. Opponents may find that
moving a finger moves their leg, or moving their arm moves their
neck. Opponents with enough combat adaptability can eventually
adapt to this, once they know how their body works after the
nerves are overloaded, though this usually takes a round to
adapt to. And this technique only lasts for up 5 rounds maximum.
- Holy Lightning Pyschic Interruption: This is the reverse of
Hei's overload technique, where instead of causing an overload,
he can jump-start his nervous system if he's affected by psychic
power which tries to control his nerves. Using his lightning, he
can electrocute himself, usually psychic holds on his body if
his disciplined mind can't handle it. This technique is usually
used on himself or his allies, and very useful against those
with psychic abilities if they get a hold on him or an ally.
While painful, this isn't really meant to do damage, but more
just to jumpstart his nervous system or can even be used to
jumpstart his heart if his heart is under the effects of a power
that tries to destroy his heart.
- Holy Lightning Beam: Hei can fire beams of concentrated
lightning, which are designed for piercing opponents. These fire
small beams about the size of a knife blade, which blast through
opponents. This is designed to pierce shields and armor. Though
because of how small the beam is, it's possible to take a hit
from it and not die, as the beam mostly just passes straight
through an opponent, and unless it hits a vital, opponents can
easily take multiple hits from this technique. This is more of a
technique to cause extreme pain to an opponent through constant
piercing, not so much it being a death move unless it pierces a
vital organ.
- Holy Lightning Chain Orb: This creates an orb which can be
used as an amplifier for Hei's electrical abilities. When used,
this orb doesn't do any damage, but can be absorbed by opponents
or objects which shine temporarily. This isn't meant to do
damage, but instead, acts as an amplifier for Hei's other
lightning techniques. Usually he fires a small collection of
these so he can chain them together in order to create a bigger
amp. This technique can amp any of Hei's lightning techniques,
essentially increasing it's effectiveness and damage immensely.
This can be absorbed by opponents, to which they will shine and
the effects in place for up to 3 combat rounds, or Hei can just
fire them and then fire a lightning attack through them to amp
his attack. Once affected by this, someone just has to dodge
Hei's lightning attacks till it wears off, as once absorbed, or
if they can expel the energy from their body, they can also
expel the energy.
- Holy Lightning Flash: This lightning attack generates a large
stream of lightning which is designed to fire at an area with no
specific target in mind. This can generate lightning to attack a
group of people in one area, or be used to try and hit a fast
opponent if the opponent can usually dodge Hei's attacks. This
attack is designed to hit an area wherever Hei points his hand,
which fires the attack. This attack is useful for hitting an
area, but in order to keep it up for long, it requires more
energy than he is usually willing to put out in a fight.
Opponents are better off finding cover and using it when this
attack comes rather than trying to dodge. A good energy shield
or using something in front of them will block the lighting from
hitting them as long as they aren't hit by it while hiding
behind something. If one does hide from it, they only need to
cover the front of them, as using something to block it means it
won't loop around and electrocute them from the back, as it only
goes in one direction.
- Holy Volt: This is a higher level lightning power where Hei
generates lightning around him, which heats up the air around
him and generates more static electricity in the air around him,
letting him use his lightning around him to generate more
lightning which he can either absorb or fire at opponents. This
is a useful technique for generating more heat and lightning for
himself to absorb, which works great with Hei's skillset. Though
usually, he does this so he can generate lightning he fires at
opponents. This technique is pretty simple, but quite effective.
Opponents who want to stop this technique should either try to
dispel the heat and static around Hei, or simply get him wet
using water attacks to short out the static he gathers.
- Holy Thunder Clap: This technique fires lightning at an object
or opponent, which then uses the person or object as a conduit
and chains to objects and people around the first person the
attack hit. This technique is designed to hit an attacking
group, and then chain to hit the whole group in proximity. Hei
can also use himself as a conduit for this, in which he can
chain the lightning from himself as well, making it much more
effective since the lightning uses him and his power as a
conduit. When used, this can also stun opponents while they're
electrocuted by this attack. This technique is designed for
groups, and not really designed to be used on just one person,
so if in a group attacked, it's best to get out of the group and
get away from the lightning before it hits them. Once the chain
starts, depending on how much energy is in the attack, it can
chain quite a few people in a group. Hei can fire this as a
stream of lightning or throw it in the form of a lightning ball.
- Holy Lightning Strike: If there is a storm going on overhead,
Hei is able to create a lightning strike, directing a natural
lightning strike to attack an opponent. Hei needs only to fire a
lightning bolt up in the clouds to absorb the lightning, which
uses his holy lightning to absorb the lightning in the clouds to
create a large lightning strike. The lightning has to be fired
into the clouds, and draw power from the overhead storm.
However, this can only be used when there's a storm overhead,
and if there's no storm, then there's no natural lightning that
Hei can call down. And since Hei cannot summon storms himself,
the best he can do is fire dark flames into the sky to try and
create storm clouds using the heat, but this can take a while to
create a storm, so sometimes it can take a while before the
storm is ready for Hei to use this. And after using this
technique, the storm completely dispels, making this a one time
technique before Hei has to try and summon a storm all over
again to use.
- Holy Thunder Beast: Using this, Hei fires a concentrated
lightning stream into the sky, which then separates and becomes
a collection of raiju which then move to attack their opponents.
This is a variation of the elemental familiar power, where Hei
creates elemental style familiars to attack opponents. The raiju
not only are wolf-like in nature and generate their own
lightning, but have their own skillset where they can fire raiju
screams of lightning which can do both impact damage from the
sound wave and lightning damage from the charged energy. This
works very similarly to the elemental familiar power, where Hei
can process what his familiars do. This is one of his stronger
techniques, as the raiju are fierce opponents and are not
controlled by Hei himself, but by his lightning spirit Raikura,
leaving Hei able to concentrate on the fight while Raikura
controls the familiars, meaning that shifting Hei's focus won't
dispel this technique. The best way to counter this is to use
another energy to contain them or force them to run out of
energy. It is also possible to use water attacks to short them
out or use wind to dispel the static that makes up their bodies.
Combat Abilities:
- Darkfire Kenpo Training: This is a variation of Chinese Kenpo,
utilized mostly by the Darkfires. It still has the same
substyles, but has been modified so that the Darkfires can
utilize it depending on their fighting style. This style has
many substyles, but is designed for fighting opponents with it
specializing in an open palm attack style. The Darkfires allowed
slight modification of this style, where each Darkfire is able
to modify it based on the substyle they use. Those that use more
defensive substyles can focus on defense, or those that want to
focus on power can focus on overwhelming opponents with a
powerful offensive. This is mostly dependent on the individual
Darkfire's fighting style, and often is common fighting style
among the Darkfire clan for those that want to learn this kind
of combat. Some more defensive users use this to increase speed
and flexibility, as well as up their awareness of incoming
attacks through focus. Some defensive users of this style might
focus on bone breaking and joint snapping if they're strong
enough to pull off the moves. Most Darkfires can learn multiple
substyles with only masters being able to use all styles of this
type of combat. Hei uses this style, and also uses it for his
weapon combat, which is somewhat similar to some chinese sword
and weapon styles. Hei's attack style is very speed-based, and
focuses on attacking vital points quickly to take down
opponents. While he does base himself in speed, he is also very
strong, and has good defense. The only thing that really suffers
is his stamina since his stamina doesn't always last through
long battles.
- Darkfire Kenpo Substyle: Baguazhang: This style is a substyle
of Darkfire Kenpo, in which the user is more balanced. Whereas
some focus on specific technique styles or specific stats, this
one is more of a balanced style, simply balancing offense and
defense rather than focusing on one or the other. This style
uses both defense and offense, and uses defense, speed and
strength, all to an even degree. This is perhaps the second most
simple substyle to learn, and, while most masters of this style
may not seem like much compared to techniques like Hikaken which
have complex moves, this style tends to be more simple, though
not as simple as the Taijiquan style, and focuses on a balance
of attacks and defensive moves to focus on both. Those who use
this technique are not weak by any means, even if this style is
very simple to use for the most part. This is mostly for people
who don't want to get too fancy, focusing on functionality over
special techniques and flashy styles. This style is a pretty
balanced style, which is good for those who want to remain
balanced in terms of combat stats.
- Darkfire Kenpo Substyle: Chishoken: This is a very difficult
substyle of the Darkfire Kenpo style, in which the user focuses
solely on speed. While this is a strong style, this style
focuses more on speed, and masters of this style are able to
attack with blinding speed. Those who use this specialize in
throwing a flurry of attacks, in which the attacks hit so fast
that it appears like the user is attacking with multiple strikes
at the same time. This style specializes in overwhelming
opponents with speedy attacks, and can be used be more advanced
users to take out groups of opponents extremely quickly. This
style makes the user's fists and/or kicks almost disappear with
how fast they move. This is very effective, but very difficult
to master because of the speed and flexibility needed to use
this style. Many will say this is the most difficult sub-style
of Chinese Kenpo to use, and requires a lot of training even
among naturally talented combatants. This is the most difficult
style in Darkfire Kenpo, requiring time and effort to
effectively master.
- Darkfire Kenpo Stepping Method: Kouho Haiho: This is the
stepping method used by those who use Chinese Kenpo which was
modified by the Darkfires, being derived from the Baguazhang
sub-style. This technique is focused on dodging opponents, and
specializes in moving around opponents while they're attacking.
The key to this technique is how the user moves their feet, as
when the user steps forward with the right foot they can put all
their weight on it and that leaves the left foot free, allowing
them to pivot away to the other side of the opponent. The user
leaves their upper body in place until the very last moment, and
by pivoting away, the user can easily avoid their opponent's
attacks. Once mastered, this technique can be used to catch
their opponent's off guard and be used to take advantage of an
opponent's momentum by using the technique to trip them and
throw them, making this stepping method both defensive and
offensive. This makes the user appear to move at high speeds
when moving correctly, as they are able to move around opponents
almost instantly and almost makes the user disappear from view
when used.
- Darkfire Kenpo Stepping Method: Darkfire Sonido: This was a
unique stepping method designed to counter high speed stepping
methods and based on the stepping method of the same name that
hollows and arrancars use. This particular style, when used
peroply, allows a user to appear to vanish from view when they
move in this stepping method, and while in motion, can appear
invisible. This requires not just strong legs, but fast movement
and the ability to stay in motion while using this. This is a
unique art the Darkfires developed as a way to supplement their
own fighting style without needing to resort to other
supernatural abilities to keep up with fast opponents. This was
combined with the Kouho Haiho, in which it is also usable in
this style. As a result, this is a great stepping method for
stepping around an opponent during an attack, or useful for
dodging an attack. Advanced users of this style can even use
their powerful kicks and strength to use pockets of air under
their feet as stepping stones, requiring immense pressure
downward to allow them to create an air pocket they can move or
jump from.
- Supernatural Hunter Training/Hunting Experience: Thanks to his
years he's been fighting and protecting his area of the Japanese
Islands, Hei is an expert level supernatural hunter. He knows
the strengths and weaknesses of many kinds of supernaturals,
including some like time lords that are more rare. Hei is a very
skilled opponent, and knows how to take down most supernaturals.
Any he doesn't know about, he can simply access supernatural
analysis software using the tech in his helmet to scan someone
and get most of the data he needs. Though he doesn't know
everything about supernaturals, he usually can access anything
he doesn't know, but that doesn't mean he can't still get
overwhelmed in certain situations since no fighter is perfect.
- Maverick Hunter Training/Hunting Experience: While Dr. Black
doesn't have typical Maverick Hunters (basically robot police
that hunt down rogue robots), he does have some maverick hunter
level reploids that Hei has had to fight to keep Dr. Black out
of the Japanese Island area. Hei himself is a high-level
maverick hunter class cyborg as well as supernatural hunter, due
to his cybernetics being designed to make him a superior fighter
in both aspects. This makes Hei able to take on most kinds of
reploids and robots, knowing how to destroy, shut down, or often
just know how to counter a robot/reploid's abilities. Since many
reploid abilities are based on supernatural abilities, it also
helps that Hei is an expert supernatural hunter, since this
helps put him up at the same class as an S-Class Maverick Hunter
(The highest rank of maverick hunter). As a result, Hei is a
very dangerous opponent not just to supernaturals, but also to
mechanical opponents.
- Tracking and Hunting Training: One thing that Hei learned as
part of his supernatural hunting style (and using his wolf
instincts) is how to track and hunt supernaturals who are
threats, and learning the best ways to track down opponents. Hei
can do very subtle things, like telling whether a foot print is
their target or not by things like the shape of the boot and how
deep the boot-print is, with him being able to identiy people by
boot prints, as well as also being able to tell where opponents
go thanks to things like walking on plants, and animals that are
unusually silent in a direction. Hei even has developed a sense
of when opponents are near, and can often gain a sense of where
his opponents are going while tracking them. Of course, with his
supernatural abilities and tech, this becomes even more
effective as he can do things like find traces of body heat,
traces of presences, or even just telling what's around him more
easily thanks to things like his armor system.
- Supernatural Exorcism, Weakness and Trap Training: Of course,
every supernatural hunter has to learn how to do things like
exorcisms, and use traps for certain types of races. Hei has
learned as much as he can in how to trap and contain
supernaturals since he often has to face all kinds of
supernaturals. He was taught things like how to draw demon
traps, how to build traps for other supernaturals, or how to
lure out supernaturals if they try to hide. He was also taught
all manners of exorcisms, from exorcising demons, to using
Enochian sigils to cast out fallen angels and sometimes even how
to cast out angels. Hei doesn't always know everything, and
isn't the most experienced, but he's far more knowledgable than
most people at his skill level, being a very knowledgable person
in terms of learning how to use these kinds of tricks on
supernaturals.
Passive Abilities:
- Natural Combat Talent: Being based on Father Hei (or rather,
before Father Hei became a priest), Hei has a natural talent for
combat. He has a knack for fighting, and growing stronger
through battles, whether it's as simple as learning about new
fighting styles, or learning new ways to counter certain
techniques. Hei is a highly adaptable fighter, almost as much as
Omega is. Hei is someone who learns from almost every battle
he's in, becoming an even more effective warrior over time, as
Hei has been in many battles, trained heavily, and learned to
take full advantage of this natural talent, but also keep his
training schedule constant so that he maximizes his potential.
Hei's cybernetics also give him an advantage, as he can always
modify his fighting style a bit more easily based on how he
fights and grows. Usually, this is best for learning ways around
fighting styles or learning ways to counter certain kinds of
opponents. Hei is not nearly as experienced as someone like
Omega is, but he still manages to keep up with plenty of
experienced opponents.
- Murderous Intent Sense: This lets some angels sense when an
attack is coming. This technique lets the user read his
environment as well as the spirits of people around them in
order to see what attacks might be coming their way. This gives
them a passive sense of reading people who might try to hurt
them, as they can sense when someone is ready to attack by their
murderous intent. This gives the user time to dodge or avoid an
attack, and to some extent, helps the an angelic or fallen angel
predict what opponents will do in a fight. However, this sense
is not perfect, and some opponents can't be read if they have
similar skills or can disguise their murderous intent or they
learn skills that can deceive this kind of sense. This sense is
usually pretty reliable unless one can suppress their murderous
intent, and can give away when someone who might want to kill
him is following him. With Hei, he not only has cybernetics, but
also his supernatural senses and wolf instincts. Thanks to this,
Hei has a pretty good instinct when it comes to people being
suspicious or knowing when people are gonna attack him.
- Inward Focus: Through battle meditation, Hei is able to focus
his mind inward, where he is able to get a sense for himself
through his own energy, usually getting an idea of what he needs
to do to get stronger similar to some more advanced ki users.
For Hei, this is usually done through things like meditation, or
through training, where Hei often senses his limits and
sometimes can figure out how to get around his limits thanks to
this focus. However, this only helps in figuring out what to do
to unlock his power, and doesn't always grant the means to
unlock his hidden power. Usually, this is used in conjunction
with meditation and heavy physical training, or possible unlock
his hidden strength in life or death situations. For Hei, this
focus helps him focus and learn how to utilize his power, with
him having a sense for what he needs to do to better use his
power. However, there are things this sense cannot do, like give
him a way to fix his proto core.
- Enhanced Supernatural Senses: Most Darkfires have enhanced
senses, like many supernaturals, and gain a passive enhancement
based on their skills and power's nature. For the most part,
this depends solely on the individual, as some senses enhance
more than others depending not only on the Darkfire, but the
specific types of nature the Darkfire has. As there are some
different types of mortals and hybrids, many can end up being
different based on their family lineage. Though most gain simple
enhanced senses, with all their senses going up slightly, some
can gain specific boosts, such as someone gaining more of a
sense of smell than anything else. Usually this can be good or
bad, as some enhanced senses can be a hinderance as much as a
help, like some more animal-like angels (who gain enhanced
animal senses) sense of smell also being a weakness if used
against them properly. This is also a danger to Darkfires who
use their shapeshifted forms, since many of their forms also
have enhanced senses. When in human form, Hei has standard
enhanced senses, though in wolf form, he has the sense of a
wolf, including a very sharp (sometimes dangerous with strong
smells) sense of smell.
- Darkfire Sixth Sense: Much like vampires and other
supernaturals, the human Darkfires can sense the presence of
other beings, and sensing who and what they are. This can sense
not only one's presence, but their levels of energy and how
tough they are, allowing the user to gauge how they stand
against them, as well as often being able to tell what they are
by their presence if the user recognizes what kind of presence
it is. However, this can be deceived by skilled opponents,
sometimes not appearing correctly if the user can't sense the
opponent's full power or use powers that fool this sense. There
are also skills that hide one's presence so those with this
sense can't sense them, or some opponents can suppress their
presence so they're not fully able to be sensed. While this
isn't always the best judge of someone's abilities, it can
provide a slight insight to help a Darkfire as to what they face
or what's around them.
- Supernatural Telepathy: Much like many other supernaturals,
the Darkfires developed their own telepathic communication. This
lets them communicate with others through this telepathy,
letting them speak to any mind they can connect to. This lets
them communicate with other people without having to speak, with
them being able to share thoughts directly with others. However,
usually the Darkfire has to know where the person is to use this
since they have to know where to send their thoughts. However,
this doesn't apply to those who establish permanent connections,
such as connecting to other family members. This lets Darkfires
not only communicate with those they have a permanent connect
with, but can also tell them where they are at any time should
they require to find them or need to be summoned to them. Those
who are set up with permanent connections have to accept the
connection, and even then, they can sever it if they choose to.
- Attach Item to Self/Weapon Telekinesis: This is a fairly basic
supernatural ability that Darkfires can use. Darkfires are able
to connect weapons to their soul, allowing them to summon their
weapons from anywhere, even being able to store them in their
soul. This power lets them have a special connection with their
weapons, also making their weapons a part of them. In doing so,
not only can a Darkfire summon their connected weapons from
anywhere, but they can also control these weapons on the
battlefield, such as calling a weapon back to them, or using it
telekinetically through concentration to attack opponents. This
power lets a Darkfire interact with their weapons far more than
some supernaturals would. Depending on the Darkfire, some
Darkfires have different arts for this, but many use this type
of connection in some form for their weapons, and if they don't,
they can learn it from a member of the clan. For Hei, he has his
shield and sword/sabers attached to him so he can summon them.
- Disciplined Mind: This is the Darkfire's art of controlling
their mind completely. This lets the Darkfire take complete
control of the world in their mind, shaping it to their own
devices and letting the user control their mind. Each inner
world is different, and solely depends on the one with this art.
This not only lets the Darkfires control their minds, but allows
them to become immune to mind control or other attempts to
influence their mind. This also lets them enter into the inner
worlds of others, and more advanced users can slightly influence
those who's minds they enter. Though going into other's minds is
mostly as a method of training, not having too much use to a
Darkfire as they aren't too skilled in controlling other
people's minds, since every mind is different and requires
different approaches. And by controlling their minds, the
Darkfire can do things like shut down certain parts of their
mind should the need to, or manipulate their emotions at will.
For the most part, shutting down parts of their mind only helps
against opponents with psychic powers, such as shutting down
their sense of pain when an opponent uses a psychic power to
overwhelm their pain receptors. However, doing so could have
negative consequences depending on what they're shutting down.
Such as shutting down pain can lead to more damage if the
Darkfire can't process pain.
- Fool Senses: Darkfire members have a special ability which
lets them lie to people and control the fact they are lying
thanks to their disciplined mind training and suppressing the
unconscious habits of the mind when one is lying, which ended up
being an accidental side effect of their disciplined mind
training. Reading the aura and body language, most people think
they are telling the truth, which allows the Darkfires to lie to
people far more easily than most. This power comes from advanced
users of disciplined mind training, as they learn to manipulate
their minds to fool opponents that can see into their minds.
However, only advanced users of the disciplined mind skill can
do this effectively after the Darkfires started training this
ability, as they have to suppress not only the fact they are
lying, but they have to suppress their unconscious tells of when
they lie, such as some people looking away when lying, or some
having certain tells or actions they do when lying. This
requires not just training in disciplined mind, but also
requires the Darkfire to know their own self enough to know what
they do when they lie to suppress it.
- Enhanced Cybernetic and Martial Arts Trained Physical Stats:
Like one might expect, Hei has highly enhanced physical stats as
a result of his cybernetics, and his physical training. Hei is
extremely fast compared to many supernaturals and artificial
beings. He is fast enough when using his fighting styles to
disappear from view, and can use his speed to attack much faster
than most people can. His strength is also nothing to
underestimate, as even though Hei's core was only a prototype,
it was still more powerful than any other cybernetics energy
core available, and still holds up despite it's energy glitch.
As a result, Hei is much stronger than many fighters, and his
energy attacks using red proto energy are much stronger than
typical energy attacks. Hei also has a good defensive substyle
of Darkfire Kenpo, which makes him hard to hit as a result. In
his wolf form, he is sacrifices some strength for speed, which
makes him an even more dangerous opponent. Usually, depending on
whether he's using his armors or using his wolf form usually
determines more of what Hei can do, since both forms have their
own specific stats.
Transformations:
- None
Human Form Weaknesses:
- Hei's proto core was only a prototype core when it was
developed, which was a more powerful core that was designed to
surpass other energy cores of it's time. However, this core had
a few problems with it. The first major problem is the energy
glitch which will one day cause the core to burn out. When this
happens, it will kill Hei, and this glitch causes him constant
physical pain when he's in human form. This problem is the
biggest problem with Hei, as he has great power, speed, and
defense, but poor stamina most of the time due to the problem
with his core that can stop him in his tracks when he's put out
too much effort. Though usually he can outlast many other
opponents. The problem with Hei is that enemies can eventually
outlast him, and the more he stays in human form, the closer he
gets to the day that his core will eventually burn out. While
he's in dark flame wolf form, he can essentially pause the
process since his body doesn't work the same in dark flame wolf
form, but if an opponent takes advantage of counter elements, he
will have to take human form.
- Another weakness of Hei's core is that it generates the same
amount of energy constantly, for better or for worse. As a
result, this not only helps Hei put out more energy in battle,
but has a bad side effect that sometimes he will have to
discharge energy when he's not fighting. If he doesn't discharge
this energy at certain intervals, then he will overwhelm his
body, damaging it even more and bringing him closer to the time
his core will burn out. For the most part, this is another part
of the reason Hei stays in wolf form as much as he can, so that
he won't have to worry about this problem (because his body
doesn't produce energy when in dark flame wolf form, and he
doesn't use proto energy in his wolf form as he's just a form of
elemental magic energy). This weakness makes it so that Hei
cannot have too much proto energy running through him or it will
cause a whole mess of problems in his body. Usually, battle is
the best place to discharge it, since he can use proto energy
attacks to discharge his energy, but sometimes it might not be
enough if he goes too long without discharging his energy.
- Without his proto energy to use techniques, Hei cannot use his
proto energy techniques or proto energy amplification. Without
this power, Hei becomes much more vulnerable without his proto
energy amplification and defense. If one is able to get past his
defense, they could still manage to give Hei fatal injuries. The
best way to take out Hei in human form is to run him out of
proto energy so he has nothing left to fuel his proto attacks,
use an aura breaker weapon to negate his proto energy, or just
use another type of energy to counter his proto energy
techniques. Hei can still be killed like normal mortals, with
him being able to die if his heart/core is destroyed. Without
proto energy, Hei is weakened considerably from how he normally
fights.
- Hei can be killed if his heart or brain are destroyed, just
like most supernaturals. Even though he can regenerate, he
cannot regenerate his brain or his heart/core. And since he is a
cloned human, he works the same as a human, even if he is a
supernatural power enhanced human. Just like any mortal, Hei is
often vulnerable to the same things a human would be vulnerable
to, such as poison (assuming he isn't wearing his helmet). Just
like Omega, Hei cannot regenerate certain parts of his
cybernetics, with the two main things being his cores or his
brain/cybernetic chip enhancements. As a result, one doesn't
have to actually destroy his heart and brain, but can get away
with destroying just his core or the cybernetics in his brain.
However, there is little one can do to stop these without
piercing the brain, so usually one can destroy either his heart
or core, or his brain or cybernetics, but by doing something
like piercing his heart, on would probably destroy both Hei's
heart and his power core.
Wolf Form and Darkfire Weaknesses:
- Every Darkfire element is counterable by their counter
element, such as flames being counterable by ice, or lightning
being able to be shorted out by water. Despite the element, each
element can usually be used to counter another in some way,
though more destructive elements like lightning and fire may
require more creative uses to counter certain elements. However,
users advanced enough and creative enough can eventually figure
out ways around most elementals, which Darkfires must be careful
of, as all elementals have some sort of counter. The elementals
are also counterable by their opposite alignment, such as dark
flames being counterable by holy powers. For the most part, any
elemental user can figure out ways to counter one element with
another if they are smart enough to know how elements interact.
- All of the elemental skills run on their equivalent elemental
magic, and require elemental energy to power the elementals as
well as positive/negative spirit energy. Once that energy runs
out, the Darkfire will lose access to their elemental magic, and
be forced to rely solely on combat abilities if they have the
strength to keep fighting. Each Darkfire that uses elemental
training relies heavily on elemental magic and without it,
cannot power their elemental abilities. Without elemental aura,
passive elemental defense is not possible, as well as elemental
rebirth not being usable and the Darkfire having to rely on
other regenerative means instead (though certain elemental users
like earth and wind users are harder to wear down due to having
elementals all around them to absorb. And without elemental
abilities, most Darkfires also can't teleport out of battles
using their elemental teleportation magic.
- Hei's dark wolf form can only be used as long as Hei has
energy. This form usually can reform as needed without too much
problem, but this does still use energy. The best way to counter
Hei from reforming is to use counter elements, or some sort of
aura breaker/energy negation to counter what makes up his dark
flame wolf form. If one can do that, they can force Hei back to
human form, or do more damage if Hei stays in his wolf form. His
wolf form is great, but has it's drawbacks, and Hei can only use
it as long as he has the energy to maintain it. This means that
he has to fuel this form through eating, or through absorbing
flames. The only good thing about this is that Hei can eat
things people normally couldn't, and can use this to dispose of
dangerous materials as a result. For the most part, ice and
water type enemies will often force Hei to have to fight in his
human form.
Personality: For the most part, Hei is a pretty mysterious
person. Not many have ever gotten close enough to really
befriend him, and many people are not sure how to approach him
most of the time. Hei isn't really cold per se, but he tends to
not show his emotions to people. He often seems wiser than he
should, often giving people advise or helping people in ways
more than just fighting to protect them. Hei will actually talk
to people and give them advice that might help them grow as
people, and knows far more about certain things than he lets on.
He is a pretty neutral person in terms of the battles going on,
and mostly just defends the Japanese Islands. For the most part,
he will sometimes help out Clone Kindron, since he sees him as
his younger brother, but doesn't plan to get involved in the war
against Dr. Black. In battle, he is a tactician, always seeking
to exploit enemy weaknesses and knows when he is outmatched. Hei
usually fights pretty smartly, and usually fights to conserve
energy as he fights so he can fight longer.
Bio: Hei was cloned by a doctor trying to figure out how to
create allies to fight against Dr. Black. This was during a time
when the Democratic Republic resistance group was nearly
destroyed, and Kindron and Father Hei were killed.
Unfortunately, the only sample of Father Hei's DNA came from
while he was still human, and the doctor didn't have any of his
DNA after he became a purified fallen angel. As a result,
Project Protoman ended up being a human recreation of Hei, and
designed as the prototype to the clone Kindron Darkfire. Hei was
a pretty successful clone, with him being much stronger than
typical supernaturals and reploids due to his more powerful
core.
However, during this time, it was discovered that Hei's
prototype core was unstable, and developed an energy glitch
which would eventually burn it out. The doctor tried to have
this fixed, but Hei refused and left before he could be
"repaired". While Hei wasn't meant to be controlled, safety
features to disable him if he ever turned on humanity were
shortcircuited, due to another prototype glitch that shorted out
all attempts to control Hei. The doctor tried to fix this
problem, but by the time he found a solution. Hei had already
left and gone to live his own life. Unlike other reploids who
wanted to serve their purpose, Hei was only interested in
finding his own purpose.
Hei viewed his core as a blessing rather than a curse due to him
not being able to be controlled, and he saw it as him being able
to chose his destiny how he wants it. Later, when he eventually
found the doctor again, the doctor offered to fix his core, but
Hei declined, even though the doctor promised not to put any
control systems in, having seen how good of a person Hei had
become despite being based on a darker version of Hei that
wasn't afraid to kill people and worked as an assassin. Hei
chose not to have his core fixed, because he felt that free will
was the greatest gift his creator gave him.
After Hei left and decided to follow his own path, he started
living on the Japanese Islands, and started acting as sort of a
protector of the Islands against the forces of Dr. Black and of
resistance groups trying to recruit the Japanese Islands. Due to
the Japanese Islands neutral stance and having more resources
than most resistance groups, some resistance groups have tried
to forcefully make the Japanese Islands join them, with Hei
being one of the main people protecting the people from groups.
Hei eventually was given the nickname "Black Wolf" because of
his black wolf form since no one knew his real name.
Hei has made a few friends since he has been in the Japanese
Islands, though he mostly stays to himself since he's a lone
wolf (no pun intended on his wolf form). Hei started using the
nickname "Blues" which was something a scientist friend of his
called him as a codename to not give away his real name.
Eventually, Hei liked this name and now goes by it to
differentiate himself from Father Hei, and become his own
person.
After a few years, Clone Kindron was found and became the leader
of the Democratic Republic (or what was left of it). After
finding out about Kindron, Hei realized that Kindron had to have
been created similarly to him, and curiously investigated
Kindron's origin around the same time that Kindron was. The two
ended up meeting when Kindron was almost killed by Omega, and
Kindron ended up saved by Hei. Surprised, Omega retreated,
deciding it best to restructure his plan of attack during the
incident. However, by the time he returned with more forces, Hei
and Kindron were gone, having taken any evidence of their
creation with them.
Hei ended up being a mystery to Kindron, sometimes showing up to
help him when he needed it, and eventually Kindron began to
learn more about Hei, who was essentially his older brother.
Kindron tried to get Hei to join the Democratic Republic, but
Hei declined so he could continue working as the protector of
the Japanese islands. Of course, once Omega found out about Hei,
it also meant that Dr. Black also found out about Hei and has
been seeking to eliminate him as a potential threat. Hei
continues his life in the Japanese Islands, protecting people
from the wars and fighting the small amounts of crime in the
Japanese Islands, mostly remnants of the Black Sun organization
who are trying to rebuild ever since Kendrix disappeared.
