RP Story: There's A Special Place in Hell for People Like Us

Prologue:
This story takes place in the Metahuman story universe. For
those that don't know, it's a universe where meta humans are
hunted for one reason or another, usually by different groups
that either want to use their powers for their own ends or that
want to just outright eliminate them.
Many groups in this universe have been established like Delta
Raven and ARGUS. However, today focuses on Foxhound, and more
specifically, a retired member of Foxhound named Akiba Hellsing.
After being tired of military life, Akiba settled down with a
cybernetics and genetics doctor named Daphne Xeno, and had a
child named Lucille, or Lucy as Akiba called her. Though things
were some hard times, the family stuck together.
Main Story:
Akiba vs Assailant Fight: Vigilante Justice (

"You want your daughter back... Then come find me again. And
then we'll have our true final fight."
Those where the final words of a masked assailant who attacked
Akiba. With a voice synthesizer in his suit, it was impossible
to tell who the person was by voice alone, and the black outfit
covered the male.
Akiba: STOP! Who the hell are you?! He asks as he tries to stop
the man in black from walking off.
The man turns back. He looks at Akiba, then to Daphne Xeno, who
was dead on the ground. Akiba's daughter, Lucy, had been taken
by a robot that he didn't recognize.
Assailant: You really want to know, huh, old man? He says almost
jokingly.
Akiba gets up, still hurt from the battle.
Akiba: Yes. Why would you want to fight me? He says to the man.
The assailant removes his mask and lowers his hood.
Assailant: Do you recognize me now? He says to Akiba, who had a
deformed half of his face and had cybernetics enhanced in his
throat and face to allow him to continue to move.
Seeing the true identity of the assailent, Akiba's eyes widened.
Akiba: Jesus Christ! Moslan?! Is that you?! He says as he tries
to step closer. It was a boy he thought he had saved from a life
of being exploited by a dangerous group in the League of
Assassins.
Moslan looks to Akiba with a cold stare, the only thing colder
was the voice he talked with back to Akiba. The last time they
had met, Akiba had been letting his commanding office at the
time, General Winre, take Moslan. The boy had been an alternate
child of Alice Rynn, an assassin woman who had married a
meta-human known only as: The Master. The Master had been
classifed as a breed of meta-human known as "Gallifreyan," which
was a type of human who was born with a unique regeneration
skill. And after Akiba and Foxhound took down
Moslan: So now you remember me. Of course, now that it's
convenient. He says to Akiba.
Akiba ran over to Moslan to try and hug him, but Moslan just
punched Akiba in the gut and kicked him back against the ground.
Akiba coughs as the wind is knocked out of him, but gets up.
Akiba: Moslan... What happened to you?! What did you do?
Moslan chuckles, the sound of his mechanical enhancements
distorting his chuckle.
Moslan: What did you expect? You sent me off to SUFFER, old man!
He says angrily.
Akiba walks over again.
Akiba: What are you talking about? He says to Moslan.
Moslan: After you sent me with General Winre... They shipped me
off to the government for an experimentation program. They
turned me into this after my regeneration skill failed.
Akiba, wide-eyed, looks to Moslan. Akiba: What are you talking
about? Winre was supposed to send you to a foster home! Not...
Not some... He says, tears forming in his eyes.
Moslan: Oh... Now you care? He says as he walks over and punches
Akiba again. You didn't even once check on me to see where I
really was? You didn't really care about me or the people you
said you saved in the past, did you?! He says angrily, a lot of
rage having built up over the last few years.
Akiba gets up again.
Akiba: Moslan... You have to understand, I was a busy person,
and I didn't have a chance to keep up with everyone. He says as
he fully stands. This time, he just stands still. Please...
Let's just talk. Give me back my daughter! Please! He says,
trying to bargain with Moslan.
Moslan: You'd like that wouldn't you? He smiles. But you won't
win with some sympathetic sobstory about not knowing!
Akiba walks over to Moslan. Akiba: What did they do to you,
Moslan? Tell me! He says, desperate.
Moslan hesitates for a moment. Moslan: They sent me over to a
government program... Black Sun, they called it. He explains
softly. Though soft, there was still rage and hatred in his
voice. The group was led by Kendrix Darkfire... A scientist who
conducted experiments on us. Some of us he enhanced with Weapon
X technology. Some of us he enhanced with special super soldier
formulas, like Slade. And some of us were enhanced with Big
Boss's nanomachines to try to create controllable soldiers.
Akiba, knowing the name, stays silent. He knew Kendrix was a
snake, but never thought that Kendrix would experiment on kids.
And knowing that someone as strong as Slade, who was a former
member of Foxhound, was forced to be subjected, meant that this
experimentation was even more dangerous than he thought
Moslan: They tested my regenerations... Killing me time after
time. He explains, the rage building. And then... after the
12th, my regeneration stopped working. I didn't know it, but 12
regenerations was the limit of what my body could generation in
terms of energy. He explains. And then, when they killed me the
13th time... They used these crude cybernetics to save my life
after they realized I wasn't going to regenerate.
Akiba's eyes widen. Akiba: Oh my god.
Moslan: They learned that day that Gallifreyans and Celestian
breeds of metahumans only regenerate 12 times. And then their
regeneration energy is expended and they are left on their last
life. He says.
Akiba's breath catches in his throat. He had no idea that the
government was doing testing like this on Gallifreyan and
Celestian metahuman breeds.
Akiba looks at Moslan.
Akiba: I'm so sorry... I didn't know. Please forgive me. He says
quietly, stunned by the horror of what he realized.
Moslan turns away and puts his mask and hood back on before
looking back. His voice was now fully synthesized again.
Moslan: When you have lost everything... THEN I may forgive you.
But for now, this is only the beginning. Only after you
understand the depth of your failure, and lost the last hope of
your legacy, only then will my revenge be complete. He says as
he jumps into the air, and then vanishes in a blast of
distortion created by his cybernetics.
Akiba walks over to the body of his dead wife, kneels down and
cradles her in his arms, blood starting to run down Akiba's
body. Akiba: Why... Why would Winre... condone this? How could
this happen? He says to himself, silently crying to himself. A
part of him wanted revenge. But he knew firsthand what it would
do to him, and he couldn't afford to risk turning himself into a
monster.
A few days later:
Akiba talks to General Winre Theme:
After Akiba had treated his wounds, and managed to recover from
the incident, he decided to go and get answers.
Akiba walks into the office of General Michael Winre, the
general who headed certain military groups.
As he does, he looks angrily to M. Winre.
Akiba: You son of a b*tch! He says to M Winre. What did you do?!
I lived for years on my own! And then you show up, and the next
day, Moslan Rynn shows up. He killed my wife and took my
daughter, Michael! He says as he grabs Winre's shirt and pulls
him over the desk angrily. He remembered right before the attack
how he'd been visited by Winre, and how Winre warned him that
they needed his help taking down a threat. Of course, Akiba
denied rejoining, and thought Winre had peacefully left.
Winre stands, and moves his hand to grab Akiba's wrist. Winre
squeezes, the nanotech that made up his arm overpowering Akiba
as he threw Akiba to the wall with a cold expression.
Winre: If I had known and kept it from you or even if I had told
you, what would that have changed? He says coldly.
Akiba gets up and walks over to Winre, grabbing his nanotech
arm.
Akiba: You knew this whole time, you b*stard! He says angrily.
You knew Moslan was coming for me specifically!
Winre: Why do you think I went and visited you, Akiba? You were
the only one who could talk down Agent Demon.
Akiba angrily punches Winre in the face, but Winre doesn't even
flinch. Worse, Akiba's punch hurts his hand, as Winre's face was
fully of nanotech that was enhancing his defense and made
Akiba's punch feel like it was hitting a concrete wall.
Akiba pulls back, swearing in pain as he steps back.
Winre: You want to stop them? Stop them. I'll give you clearance
to do what you need to do. But bring him back alive. We need
Agent Demon and his companion.
Akiba looks to Winre with fury in his eyes. Akiba: I'll stop
him... And then I'm coming for you, Michael. Make no mistake.
You're going to pay for what you did to him.
Akiba then walks out, still angry. He doesn't wait for an answer
as he slams the door behind him and storms out of the building.
Days later...
Akiba talks to Ally Theme: I don't blame you (

Akiba had been investigating the reports of Agent Demon
(Moslan's government name), and had been trying to track him
down. After finding out that other members of Foxhound were
being killed, Akiba's investigation had led him to a small
hideout. As he went in, gun drawn, he walks in and finds one
person inside who sneaks up on him, pointing a gun at Akiba's
head.
Akiba hesitates, looking subtley as though trying to judge where
the man's weapon was and how to take him down.
Man: Don't try it, John... I'm not just a human, you know. I'm a
meta human. A psychic. All it takes is one word. I thought Winre
would send someone far more dangerous after me... Like someone
from ARGUS or Weapon X. He says quietly.
Akiba puts his weapon away and turns to face the man. Akiba: Not
the kind of thing I expected from you, Kindron. You're not
normally the paranoid type. He says jokingly.
The man, revealed to be Kindron Darkfire, puts his gun away and
walks over and hugs Akiba.
Kindron: Good to see you, my friend. He says with a chuckle.
Akiba hugs him back, glad to finally see a friendly face. With
how much of a toll this journey had taken on him, he felt a
little at ease to see Kindron, who he knew shared similar values
to himself.
Kindron goes and pours a drink for them. He adjusts his glasses
as he pours them some apple whiskey.
Kindron: Come. Sit. He says as he sets the drinks on the table.
Akiba sits down at the table, and takes the drink. He starts
sipping it.
Kindron, silent, starts drinking.
Akiba: So... I hear you quit the team too? He says to Kindron,
trying to start the conversation.
Kindron looks down, his hands shaking as he remembers. Kindron:
The things we did... We weren't helping, John. We made things
even worse.
Akiba looks to Kindron. What do you mean?
Kindron: I saw what we were doing, and I quit. You were the
smart one... Quitting before things got really bad. He says to
himself. I couldn't handle what we did... All those kids.
Akiba looks to Kindron with both curiosity, and a fear of what
he was about to hear.
Akiba: What happened, Kindron? Tell me.
Kindron hesitates. Kindron: Those "terrorists" we hunted... They
were kids, John! Meta humans. They weren't trying to start some
revolution. They were trying to live their life. He explains
quietly. I killed so many of them after you left. I thought I
was taking out threats... He tears up. There was so much
blood... They were teenagers. They weren't some group.
Akiba: You... killed them? They were American citizens and we
were hunting them down?
Kindron's hands start shaking again.
Kindron: The ones that died... They were the lucky ones. But the
ones we 'saved.' The ones we sent off...
Akiba looks to Kindron. Akiba: What? What happened to them,
Kindron?!
Kindron looks down. Kindron: You don't want to know.
Akiba: Dammit Kindron! My daughter was kidnapped because of this
stuff and my wife is dead! Tell me, dammit! He says angrily as
he stands.
Kindron stands angrily.
Kindron: We were giving them free experiments, John! All those
kids! They went to Black Sun, or Weapon X, or Delta Raven! We
weren't saving them,John! We were HUNTING them! He says, tears
in his eyes. His voice quiets down as he whispers. There's a
special place in hell for the things we did... He says softly.
Akiba stops, horrified. Akiba: And they... knew this? Michael
(Winre) organized this?
Kindron looks to him. Kindron: Michael? You think the general
could do this on his own?! No way. He looks down. He's a cog in
the machine. This goes up to the top, John... We're talking top
clearance. Black Sun... Weapon X... Even Delta Raven. This goes
deeper than you realize. He explains.
Akiba leans back in his chair, his hand shaking. Akiba: Jesus...
How could we have been so blind? He says to himself. He says a
silent prayer to himself, asking for God's forgiveness, which
was something he often did as a Christian minister.
Kindron: Why do you think they're coming after us? We're loose
ends they have to tie up.
Akiba sighs. Akiba: We were trying to save them. How did it come
to this?! He says to himself.
However, before he could say anything, an explosion in the next
room knocks Kindron and Akiba to the ground.
Akiba, his ears ringing, tries to get up. Kindron also tries to
get up.
Kindron: John! Get up! He says as he turns. Now, sto- He starts,
but a mechanical whip hits him in the throat, causing Kindron to
stop and fall back as he coughs up blood. His vocal cords
weren't damaged, but Kindron's neck had been hit in just the
right way that he couldn't talk.
Akiba moves as he grabs his gun and starts shooting it as a
black robot comes into view.
However, the black robot uses hits mechanical whip to knock
Akiba's gun out of his hand.
As Kindron, who didn't have his voice, tries to attack, the
black robot catches Kindron's attacks to buy time for Akiba to
recover.
Akiba gets up and looks in horror. He recognized the robot
instantly as the one who took his daughter. The one working for
Moslan Rynn.
Akiba: You! Give me back my daughter! He says angrily as he goes
to attack.
As the robot dodges, it uppercuts Akiba and then kicks Kindron,
who was moving in to attack.
Black Robot: Pathetic. If you can't even handle me, you won't
last a second against them. He says to them.
Kindron: That voice... Hei? He says in shock, raspy as his voice
was starting to come back.
Akiba, his eyes wide, looks to the robot. Suddenly, the fighting
style, speed and skill seemed to click in Akiba's mind Akiba:
Wait... Hei's a robot now? He says, surprised.
Robot: I am no longer Hei. I am unit BK-201. He says as he walks
to the two.
BK-201 takes out a knife and stabs Kindron's throat with it. The
knife was a varanium knife, evident by the electromagnetic field
that seemed to surround the blade.
BK-201: We can't have you using those psychic abilities. He says
simply as he pulls the varanium knife from Kindron's throat.
BK-201 gets ready to deliver a finishing blow, but Akiba grabs
BK-201's mechanical whip and stabs him in the shoulder with the
blade at the end of the whip.
BK-201 screams in pain as the blade hits organic nerves, and he
jumps back.
Akiba looks to BK-201. Akiba: Hei... We've had our differences,
but please. Let's talk this out! We can help you!
BK-201 just stays silent for a moment. BK-201: I am BK-201. I
am not the human you know as Hei. He says as he fires his
mechanical whip out the broken window. It was strange, but
BK-201 seemed to notice something that made him want to retreat,
which was what caused him to fire his whip out the window.
BK-201: You think you can beat Agent Demon? As you are now, you
will never defeat him... And your daughter will die in your
arms. He says as though he were prophesying over what would
happen when Moslan and Akiba fought again. BK201 then jumps out
the window, using his mechanical whip to swing from the
building.
Akiba was going to go after BK201, but instead looks over to
Kindron, who was on the ground, still bleeding from his throat.
Akiba: Hang on... We'll get you help! He says as he picks up
Kindron.
Kindron's gaze said everything... He couldn't talk, but his eyes
were almost pleading for Akiba to leave him behind, and to leave
him to die. It was obvious that Kindron felt this was what he
deserved for the things he had done.
Akiba races to get Kindron to someone who could help.
Before he could do anything, someone sneaks up behind him and
shoots him with a taser shot to his neck. Akiba falls to the
ground unconscious. The last thing he does before losing
consciousness is reaching for Kindron, trying to use his
willpower to at least try to get Kindron to safety. But this
fails as Akiba loses consciousness, seeing a female figure
walking over him to walk to Kindron. Akiba then loses
consciousness completely.
Some time later:
Akiba was in Kindron's hospital room. Akiba didn't know where
they were, but he knew that the doctors their had helped save
Kindron's life. Kindron was unconscious still, but was slowly
recovering after the varanium shards from BK201's varanium knife
had been surgically removed from his throat.
A female figure walks in, who was wearing a lab jacket and
glasses. She had orange hair and redish eyes, that were almost
as red as Kindron's own eyes.
Female: Hello. Sorry for the wait. She says politely.
Akiba: So... Any explanation as to what this is and why I'm
here? I'm not joining your little group.
The female just smiles.
Female: I understand why you are hesitant. Just let me introduce
myself first. She adjusts her glasses. I am Zelpharia Tolodora,
representing General Oscar Mendai Corvac, my father. He heads
Quantum, a group looking- She starts before being interrupted by
Akiba.
Akiba: Not interested. He says, interrupting her.
Zelpharia sighs. Zelpharia: Look. I understand not wanting to
join me, but at least hear me out. We've been tracking Agent
Demon and BK-201.
Akiba: And why would you be doing that? He says, partially to
himself.
Zelpharia: We are an international organization... It's our job
to monitor threats and recruit meta humans who have nowhere to
go. She explains.
Akiba: Spare me the military bullsh*t. He says, bitter.
Zelpharia sighs again. Zelpharia: Alright... The one you call
Moslan Rynn and the one you call Hei Darkfire have joined a
dangerous group called Ragnorok, led by your brother-in-law,
Garton Xeno.
Akiba stops, frozen in horror by hearing that name again. He
knew Daphne had been in hiding for years from her brother,
afraid of what happened if he got his hands on her research.
Akiba: And what does that snake want? He says to Zelpharia.
Zelpharia: Some time ago, he stole our research into Celestian
psychic abilities and Gallifreyan space-time manipulation. We
think he's trying to amass power.
Akiba: I'm going to be as frank as I can be. You helped us, and
I'm grateful. But I'm not joining you, nor do I care about some
organization. I just want my daughter- Oh god... He yells, but
stops yelling as he sits down, a thought coming to him before he
had finished his last sentence.
Zelpharia: Now it's starting to sink it, it seems. She says
sarcastically. As you just figured out, your wife's research
lives on in your daughter's genetics. Garton Xeno can extract
that information. It could be part of the reason he had Moslan
attack you.
Akiba growls in annoyance. Akiba: You don't understand anything!
Moslan wasn't doing this on orders! He wanted revenge against
me! He yells angrily.
Zelpharia: You're right. We don't know anything. That's why we
need you. You and Kindron. Help us make a positive difference.
We're not going to demand blind obedience. We want you to join
us.
Akiba: And how do I know the people I help won't just become
experiments? He says to Zelpharia.
Zelpharia: Because you'll oversee their rehabilitation directly.
She says simply. We will be completely transparent. But take
your time and think it over. You don't have to join us right
away, but for now, we can help you find your daughter. She says
as she walks out of the room.
Akiba sits back down, and sighs.
Kindron: I like her. She's got spirit. He groans, trying to
speak.
Akiba looks to Kindron and reaches over to him.
Akiba: You're awake.
Kindron: Kind of hard to sleep when you're yelling your lungs
out. He says jokingly.
Akiba: Yeah... Sorry about that. He says jokingly.
Kindron: I like these people... I don't sense any evil intent.
He says softly, speaking softly so he didn't strain his voice.
Akiba: We have to find those kids... The ones we sent off to the
government. We have to save them. He says to Kindron. He
couldn't help but remember some of the kids he'd met, like
Moslan and even Chelsea.
Kindron: I agree. I think Quantum can help us do that. That
woman, she could communicate with me while I was unconscious.
And we had a long talk on the way here. He explains.
Akiba: I'm sorry, I can't trust them on their word alone.
Kindron: I know. I can't trust them immediately either. But I
just... have a good feeling about this place. And honestly... I
need a chance to do something good. We both do. He says to
Kindron.
Akiba sighs. Yeah... I know. He says simply.
As Akiba and Kindron recover from the incident and have learned
a number of things from Quantum... The question is, will Akiba
find his daughter and confront Moslan on his own? Or will he and
Kindron join Quantum in order to make a positive difference?
And what role does Garton Xeno play in this tale?
Only time will tell what will happen as Akiba tries to track
down his daughter.
