"Are you going to run your mouth all day, or are we going to
fight?"
"I'll give you one chance to surrender. You would be wise to do
so."
"It wasn't easy... escaping that place. I knew the risk, not
only for myself but for Vin as well since I know damn well that
my mother will kill her if we get dragged back in there. But I
can't be there. Not anymore. They need to be stopped. SHE needs
to be stopped."
"It's not sacrifice when one is being given no choice."
"Vin and I need to head toward one of the neutral territories,
preferably where the Democratic Republic are. It's one of the
few places that not even Dr. Black can even touch. That's the
only place that we can be sure that we don't have to sleep with
one eye open. That and some food would be nice."
"Look, I don't care what they spew out of their filthy mouths. I
don't even care what my mother says. She can kiss my ass
especially. You're more than some clone. You're my sister. You
have a soul. And more importantly, you're your own person. You
belong to no one but yourself."
~V to Vin talking about how she doesn't care that Vin is a
clone.
"I don't care what happens to me. All I care about is making
sure that my sister is safe and to get that damn failsafe out of
her ASAP once we find a cybernetic scientist or something."
"I'm not a hero. I'm not even close to be considered human. Not
after all the things I have done or the process I've been put
through in order to become 'stronger'. But that's not important.
Right now, all I care about is making sure that Vin lives a
better life. She deserves it. And if I have to die so people
like her can live a better life, then so be it."
"I don't care if she is a clone! She's still a person and is
hell of a lot more human than the rest of these cold hearted
bastards in this God forsaken place! Most of all, she's still my
sister! So stop treating her less than that!"
~V during one of her arguments with her mother Natalya
Zolnerowich.
Late one night, a heated argument happened between V and her
mother Natalya about morals, especially since V went against
orders to spare and help someone instead of killing them. During
the argument, Natalya notice Anton "Kronos" Daraes bringing in a
young girl who belonged to one of the enemies of Olympus,
showing that the child was trespassing again. Natalya walks up
to them, asking the girl if she wasn't clear enough when she
told the girl before to go home. V calls out to Natalya as she
hurries to catch up to her. The baffled girl asks if Natalya is
the leader of Olympus Organization dubbed "Nyx" and if she truly
does have godly powers. Natalya confirms that she is the leader
and does have incredible power, before brutally attacking the
girl by breaking the arm and collarbone much to V's horror.
V: NO! What the hell is wrong with you?! She's just a--!
Natalya: Finish the job. Take the girl's life. I don't care how.
Do it, or I'll break her legs and have Anton dump her out to the
abandoned cities. Natalya glace over and notice V's hesitation
and scared expression for a few seconds before turning back to
the child Fine.
V: WAIT! I'll do it.
V walks to the girl crying in pain and calling out for her
mother. V kneels down and with pain and sorrow in her eyes,
quickly kills the girl by snapping her neck.
Natalya: This is the consequences of your actions, Vendetta.
Next time, it will be the clone (Vin) who will pay if you
disobey me again. turns to Anton Let her clean up this mess.
When she's finished, throw her into the cell.
With that, Natalya begins to walk away. With tears in her eyes,
V turn from the dead body and give her mother a hateful glare.
V: I... I swear when I get stronger, I won't become like you,
Anton or any of these bastards in this hellhole of an
organization! If I'm going to use these powers, it'll be on my
own terms, not yours. I'll make sure things like this doesn't
have to happen, even if it cost me my own life!
Natalya: gives V a neutral side eye A bold promise. And yet you
continue to think so naively. Let me know when you're done
acting like a child.
With that, Natalya leaves the room. Once they're alone, Anton
turn to V.
Anton: You better uphold that promise. Otherwise, it'll just be
empty words... and you'll be nothing more than a soulless
weapon.
"You're insane. You didn't do this for me or Vin! You did this
for yourself! Just like Black, you picked your own ambitions
over others, destroying everything that is in the way. You treat
lives like they're obstacles or pawns you can manipulate. I
swear, I will find a way to take you down and put a stop to
this, even if it cost me my own life!"
~V to her mother Natalya Zolnerowich as a response to Natalya's
justification to the years of trauma and abuse she went through.
"I was given permission to do this by Natalya herself. You are
the only person who knows this besides her so keep this to
yourself. As much as she hates to admit it, Vendetta has been
quite a handful. Of course, that is to be expected. She is a
teenager. It's only natural for them to behave like this. As
brilliant as Natalya is, she is only one person. Not to mention
being a mother on top of that. She can only do so much. So, with
permission, I decided to be generous and created a special
failsafe for Vendetta. So, remember the FREAK chips that I was
part of when I used to work for Olgenstein? I manage to take
some inspiration into doing this. I decide to do some...
improvements to that little berserker form I created for her.
And only I can activate it whenever I choose to. This way,
she'll turn into a ruthless killer. A savage animal that will
turn on both friend and foe. And she won't know it until I
deactivate it or when there's no one left. Sure, she can fight
it, but it'll only make things more painful for her. I test it
before during a mission. It worked out perfectly well to the
point that I've given it to a few others like Project: Lycaon
and Project: Cerberus. And the best part is that Vendetta
doesn't know about this little failsafe. Otherwise, she would've
lobotomized herself in order to get it out, worse case take her
own life, knowing how spiteful the brat is. The only people who
knows about this is me, Natalya and you... and possibly Yelena
if Natalya so chooses to tell her as well. Also, if Natalya
decides to punish Vendetta by well, let's say, make her kill
that little clone pet of hers, that would be one hell of a
punishment. But that is up to her. Either way, whatever bonds
Vendetta tries to make, whatever location she believes that she
is safe in, it will be merely a fantasy. And once her hope is
crushed, she will have no choice but to come to her senses and
crawl back to Olympus... back to us."

Main Core Device Cybernetic Enhancement: The Zeus Engine:
~There are many types of cybernetics, and at the center of every
single set of cybernetics is some kind of core device that
powers the cybernetics. There are many kinds of devices out
there, and each often serves its own purpose depending on the
device and what it is designed to do. The core device is a core
which is often placed in the heart, and is the core upgrade that
powers the cybernetics that are placed in the body. When it
comes to this upgrade, the core device is always the heart of
the cybernetics that go into the body. This device is an energy
generator, specifically designed for use in organic cybernetics.
Every core device generates its own energy depending on what
it's designed to do, which is used by the cybernetics in the
body through use of the cybernetics in the body which absorb the
energy generated by the core that is released into the body.
This core also regulates the heart, in which the core generates
energy in conjunction with the heartbeat to synchronize with the
body. The core releases the energy it generates into the body
within the heart, which is then carried through the body by the
nanotech in the blood before being focused out of the body
through the nanotech in the muscles and skin. As mentioned,
every core has its own unique purpose and its own energy that it
generates, and generates energy depending on the energy the core
is designed to generate. In addition to it powering cybernetics
though, the energy can be focused through those cybernetics and
utilized by the person who controls those cybernetics. Many
cybernetics are specifically designed to concentrate and utilize
the energy of the core, with the cybernetics being adjusted
specifically for whatever core is used in the body. This core
device is always the core of the cybernetics of many cybernetics
projects (in this case, the Olympus Organization), and is
necessary for any cybernetic upgrade. If this device gets
damaged or destroyed, most of the cybernetics in the body would
fail to function, and in the worst case, the person could die if
the core is destroyed or damaged and cannot be repaired. In some
cases, the core being damaged may even damage the body if it is
not repaired. Also, if the core runs out of energy, the person
using it has to wait for the core to produce more energy. This
process is usually similar to recovering energy in the body, in
which a user just has to wait if they run out of energy and let
the core produce more energy that recharges the cybernetics in
the body. For the Olympus Organization, every Olympus project
core device is usually unique, and designed to do something
different depending on the project and its function. For V and
Vin specifically, they are empowered with the Zeus Engine, which
is a core device that generates large amounts of electrical
energy to power their cybernetics, and their cybernetics channel
that electrical energy that they can use in and out of battle.
When in battle, they have a special battle mode for their Zeus
Engines called Thunderbolt Mode, where they put out far more
energy and use runoff to expel extra energy. V's Thunderbolt
Mode is her Tempest Wolf enhancement.
Cybernetic Brain Enhancement: Brain Nanocyte Enhancement:
~With any cybernetics upgrade, it's interaction with the brain
is very important. In the case of cybernetics, cybernetics not
only have to make sure the body recognizes the cybernetics so
that the body doesn't reject the upgrades, but the upgrades also
have to be able to interact with the brain so that the user can
control the cybernetics. This is done through cybernetics that
interact with the brain, usually through some sort of chip or
nanotech that connects to the brain and acts as a sort of link
to the brain. In addition to interacting with the brain though,
it is also necessary to convert data from inorganic forms into
organic information the brain can recognize and analyze so that
the brain understands the information it is getting from the
cybernetics. Depending on the cybernetics, there are many
methods of interacting with the brain, and part of this depends
on the cybernetics and how they're supposed to act. However, no
matter the cybernetics upgrade, this is a necessary addition to
any cybernetics upgrade, as the interaction of data is very
important. Cybernetics in the brain can do a number of things
beyond just controlling cybernetics though. One of the main
things is that cybernetics in the brain can generate information
the eyes can "see" that let them utilize certain kinds of
computer functions such as utilizing user interfaces. Another
thing that users can do is interact with computers through using
their cybernetics if there is a function for a system link
through some kind of network. Of course, the upgrades depend on
the cybernetics, and not all cybernetics have the same
functions. However, as mentioned earlier, this is a necessary
part of all cybernetics upgrades, and without these upgrades, it
is possible the mind wouldn't be able to interact with the
cybernetics, or even worse, the body could reject the
cybernetics upgrade as foreign if the brain doesn't recognize
the information it is getting and attack the cybernetics. As
such, this is very important, and without it, the cybernetics
often would not work properly. Typically, these upgrades are put
into the brain, so they are hard to get to, but if they are
damaged or destroyed, then the body loses the ability to
interact with the cybernetics until the damage is repaired or
new cybernetics are put in to replace the old cybernetics. For
the Olympus Organization, all of their cybernetics utilize
nanocyte enhancements, which are nanotech in the blood that
fuses into the brain and acts like an interface sending
information to the brain. The nanocytes convert inorganic
information into organic information the mind can process, and
has special user interfaces in their computer system by
generating optic data that the eyes can process that only they
can see. Each tiny nanocyte in the brain is like its own
computer in the mind, fused to the mind and able to process and
access information in conjunction with the brain.
Cybernetic Brain Enhancement: User Interface:
~This is a feature of some cybernetics, that is not always
available. However, those with this upgrade are able to utilize
cybernetics in the brain that generate data in the mind, and
generate a kind of "screen" that users can access through their
optic (eyes) information. By using the part of the brain that
controls sight, the cybernetics are able to add data to what the
user sees, and can create what appear to be screens or
information in the eyes of the user that they can "see." In some
cases, the cybernetics could be as simple as just throwing up
status information, but more complex systems can actually let
the user see computer screens that let them interact with
special functions in their cybernetics that can seem almost like
them having a computer in their brain (Which is essentially what
the cybernetics in the brain do). This has to do with the
cybernetics converting data from inorganic computer data into
organic signals that the brain can process and understand in the
same way that the brain utilizes information from the outside
world to visualize the world around them. By adding to this
process, the cybernetics can add information to what is already
being processed by the mind, making this data seem like just
part of the incoming information. The brain then processes the
information like it normally would, and the person then comes to
understand the data. This is a very useful cybernetics upgrade,
as it often allows for more than just the cybernetics being
useful to the body, but useful for other functions as well.
Those with complex cybernetics could essentially constantly
monitor information from their cybernetics, or some cybernetics
can even be used for communication information (such as
communicating through networks). Typically, the user interfaces
for these cybernetics are different depending on who makes them,
and what information they are meant to show, but those with this
upgrade will have some sort of display they can either utilize
all the time, or some cybernetics can turn the display on or off
depending on what the user wants to do. However, while useful,
this only works as long as the cybernetics in the brain work,
and if something happens to the cybernetics in the brain, then
this function will stop working until the cybernetics are fixed
or replaced. For the Olympus Organization, all of their
cybernetics utilize not only a user interface with status
information, but also have the ability to generate screens the
user can "see" that act like computer screens, essentially
combining with their network information to essentially utilize
computers within their own mind. The screens are only visible to
the user, with the exception being those that have special
upgrades to show their screens through holographic projection
(which many cybernetics in the Olympus organization do).
Cybernetic Brain/Nerve Enhancement: Computer System
Interaction/Holographic Display:
~This is an optional function of advanced cybernetics that is
infused into the brain and nervous system through advanced
cybernetics. This is an extension of the brain enhancement that
puts the power of computers into the brain, through the use of
some kind of system that links up to the brain through some form
of network. By converting inorganic data into organic
information the mind can process and understand, this upgrade is
able to utilize a special function to allow the mind to access
the data within the cybernetics enhancements to the brain. With
this function, the cybernetics in the brain are able to generate
computer screens that can be used like a normal computer, giving
the user a computer system at their fingertips. By generating
optic data that the brain processes, the user is able to
interact with their computer system within their minds. And with
more advanced cybernetics data, it is even possible to extend
that control of the computer system in their mind to their
nerves, where they are able to use motions and use their senses
to operate such computer screens. For example, the optic data is
only visible to the user, but with this upgrade, they can use
their hands to operate computer screens that come up. While they
aren't actually touching a computer screen (Whether real or
not), the cybernetics in their nerves interact with the
cybernetics in their brain, converting data based on what the
user is doing. This gives the user the ability to essentially
operate the computer within their brains, whether it's by motion
or by the brain itself operating the system. This adds
additional functionality to cybernetics, which lets users
utilize their cybernetics for more than just some kind of
enhancement to their body. More advanced cybernetics even have
holographic displays that the cybernetics in the body can
generate outside of the body, giving a visual element that the
user can not only use, but can even share information with
others depending on what they want to do. As one might guess
though, this is controlled by the cybernetics in the brain (And
to a lesser extent, the nerves), and without those cybernetics,
this upgrade cannot be used (or at least, it can't be interacted
with). For the Olympus Organization upgrades, all projects are
set up with this, and have holographic projection capabilities
infused into the cybernetics in their body to pull up
holographic displays. Each Olympus Organization member
essentially has miniature computers within their minds that they
can access and utilize whenever they desire, and can interact
with those systems.
Cybernetic Brain Enhancement: Brain Networked System:
~This is an optional upgrade to cybernetics in the brain that
can be applied to advanced cybernetics. For those that have a
network connection in their cybernetics in their brains (usually
through the computer system upgrade where users are given
computer systems in their cybernetics they can interact with),
they are able to have this programmed into their cybernetics.
With this upgrade, cybernetics can be used to interact with
other computer systems around them, whether it's through a
network connection or the cybernetics directly interacting with
a computer through some kind of port (like a USB) that some
cybernetics can be made to interface with. By interacting with
computer or other electronic systems, someone with this upgrade
can interface with electronic systems for a number of different
purposes. The main one is that users can access computer systems
and some can even hack systems depending on the system and
defenses. For the most part though, the main purpose is that one
can access information in other systems without needing to use
the system directly, and can do so with their own cybernetics
instead of having to figure out new systems. This works by
programmed cybernetics being able to convert data from the
system they are interacting with, where the cybernetics can
exchange data from the system. The cybernetics are able to
convert their data into data that can manipulate a system, and
can convert the information in a system into information that
can be processed and stored in the user's cybernetic system,
especially if they have the computer system enhancement that
lets them utilize a system through their brain's cybernetics.
The most advanced cybernetics can even be used to hack other
cybernetics and even robots. However, this can be difficult with
certain types of computer systems, especially ones that have
built in protection against hacking. In order to hack something
that has protection, one must get past the defenses built into
whatever they are trying to hack into. And depending on the
system, there are some that cannot be hacked into. Also, another
thing to note is that sometimes linking with a system can attack
the cybernetics systems within the person, usually through some
kind of cyber attack that may be passed through the network into
the cybernetics. This means that users must be careful when
linking to systems so that they don't accidentally let something
into their cybernetics systems that could damage their systems.
For those in the Olympus Organization, many have this upgrade,
and can interact with systems. However, they do have to be
careful of countermeasures to hacking, as it is difficult to
hack advanced systems.
Cybernetic Brain Enhancement: Network System Link:
~This is a function of advanced cybernetics designed to work in
conjunction with a remote system. This optional upgrade lets
someone's cybernetics system connect to a network outside of
their body, usually in the location of whatever computer system
acts as the system link to the network. Typically, there are two
main uses of this. The first is that one can link up with other
cybernetics users, where users can network together and share
information through a network. This is almost like a system of
computers on a network, except that the computers are
cybernetics in people's brains. Usually, this has advantages
where users can team up with other cybernetics users, or they
can use this to share information and coordinate, or even
communicate with each other without needing to do things like
using phones or communications systems. The other main function
for this is that some more advanced systems are able to back up
the brains and systems of someone's cybernetics. This function
lets someone uplink to a system and upload their mind and
cybernetics data, usually so that their mind and data can be put
into a new body that they can then use. This is a great way for
users to essentially back themselves up if they are killed, as
long as there is someone who can create a new body for them and
uplink their mind and data to the new body (usually through new
cybernetics). There are even some that create clone bodies as
backups specifically for this purpose, and backup their minds
into clones if they should die. This requires a system link with
some kind of network that connects to either a system or to
other cybernetics (depending on what this link is being used
for), and requires that a user be connected to that network in
order to utilize it. This works similar to a normal computer
network, except that the cybernetics connect to it instead of
normal computers. As a result, it works much the same way. This
only works as long as one has access to a network, and without
the network, this uplink doesn't work (Whether a user suppresses
it or it is interrupted by some outside source). Also, users
must be aware that up-linking to networks, even trusted ones,
can be dangerous if someone manages to take control of a
network, which may let them take control of, or at least
interfere, with someone's cybernetics. The Olympus Organization
is almost all set up with this link, where they link back to
Natalya's system where she controls everything. For V and Vin
specifically, they have shut down this link, but they do have
the ability to activate it should they need to (but it would be
dangerous for a few reasons, such as the Olympus Organization
would be able to track them if they use it).
Cybernetic Enhancement: Electrode Nanotech:
~As mentioned, most cybernetics start with some kind of core
device that powers the cybernetics (usually either in the heart,
or an artificial heart in place of the heart). However, that
energy has to be transferred around the body in order for other
cybernetics to utilize it. That is where this set of cybernetic
nanotech comes in. These nanotech machines fit into the blood,
where their purpose is to absorb the energy produced by the core
device. Depending on the nanotech, this nanotech absorbs the
energy as it passes through the heart, and stores it while
moving through the body. The nanotech then disperses the energy
to other cybernetics in the body where the energy can be used
and powered by the energy produced by the core device. Since the
blood stream carries nutrients to the whole body, the nanotech
in the blood works similarly to red blood cells, carrying energy
not to the organic parts of the body, but to the cybernetics in
the body. By doing this, these nanotech machines are used in
conjunction with the core device as an essential part of the
cybernetics process. These nanobots are designed to exist in the
blood stream, alongside the red blood cells, white blood cells,
and plasma, and are small enough that they are not usually a
bother to the body. This brand of nanotech is programmed for the
sole purpose of dispersing energy to cybernetics by using the
blood stream as its transportation throughout the body. The
nanotech is energy absorbent, and absorbs the energy given by
the core device in the body. Depending on the core device, the
nanotech is programmed for whatever energy is produced, and has
to be able to absorb and transport that energy throughout the
body. This is another very important part of the cybernetics
upgrade process, and not having this upgrade would be
detrimental to the body. If this nanotech is destroyed or shut
off, the energy from the core device would flood the body
without anything to absorb it, and would destroy the body from
within, or may even cause the core device to overload. And
despite being energy absorbent, these nanotech devices can only
handle so much energy, so they can be overloaded if too much
energy floods the body at once. V and Vin have special Electrode
nanotech, which is specifically designed to absorb electrical
currents from their Zeus engine and funnel that energy into
their cybernetics to not only power them, but allow V and Vin to
use the electrical energy.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Regenerative Nanotech:
~This is an optional type of nanotech that is used in
cybernetics that is released into the blood alongside the energy
absorbent nanotech. This nanotech is also powered by the core
device, but these nanotech devices possess a different function.
As the name implies, these nanotech devices are designed to
repair and regenerate. For organic tissue, the nanotech is
programmed to bond and repair damaged tissue, as well as fix
missing tissue. In extreme cases, these nanotech can even
replace tissue in the body as a means to fix damage, which makes
this nanotech very useful. And when used in conjunction with
cybernetics, regenerative cybernetics can also do something
similar for damaged cybernetics, where these nanotech devices
can be programmed to repair damaged cybernetics if the
regenerative nanotech is programed with the cybernetics
information. This is an optional upgrade, but one that is very
useful, and often may be argued necessary among certain kinds of
cybernetics. This nanotech flows through the blood, converting
cells and molecules into material, or they may be programmed
simply for re-bonding damaged tissue (like healing things like
cuts or bruises). While this isn't the same as supernatural
regeneration, it is more advanced than normal healing, and these
devices can fix far more than normal human healing would be able
to. Depending on how advanced the nanotech is, often determines
just what functions these nanotech devices are built for, and
how far their ability to fix, bond and repair can be. More
advanced cybernetics can use this to fix not only damage to the
organic body, but also fix damage to their cybernetics. However,
depending on the cybernetics, not all cybernetics are able to
fix all damage, and sometimes the damage can be too much to
repair (such as most cybernetics cannot regrow limbs or entire
organs unless completely replaced by nanotech in the blood).
Also, this nanotech runs on the energy of the core device, so
the nanotech must remain powered and properly programmed to
carry out its functions or this nanotech essentially becomes
useless. And if the nanotech becomes confused about how to fix
certain damage, it is possible the nanotech may not repair the
damage correctly. All members of the Olympus Organization are
equipped with this, and the nanotech is able to replace certain
tissues with the nanotech, assuming there's enough in the blood
stream to do so. However, this must be replenished if used, as
the nanotech cannot be endlessly used. V and Vin have special
upgraded nanotech, in which their electrical currents are also
used by their nanotech to bond and repair tissue through using
magnetic bonds to re-bond tissue, making their healing and
regeneration much easier, and making the energy cost far less.
This also makes V and Vin's healing much faster than other
cybernetics users thanks to this.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Electrode Enhanced Nervous System:
~The blood is not the only part of the body that can get
cybernetic enhancement, as the nerves also get the enhancements.
The main purpose of this is to communicate with the cybernetics
from the brain, where the signal is sent to the body's
cybernetics from the control of the brain to have the
cybernetics act according to whatever signals are being sent.
Similar to how the nerves receive signals that control essential
functions of the body like breathing and heartbeat, the
cybernetics in the nerves receive the signals needed to control
the cybernetics in the body so that the cybernetics are able to
work in conjunction with the body. The nerves communicate back
and forth between the brain's cybernetics and those in the body,
and can also be used to enhance the body's own nervous system
connections. Because cybernetics can send signals faster than
those used by the nervous system, the communication between the
brain and body can be enhanced with this special enhancement to
the nervous system. This grants almost simultaneous reaction
when the brain sends a signal. While fractions of seconds may
not seem like much, it does allow faster reaction and movement
of the body compared to a normal human. And with some nervous
system enhancements, it is even possible to install reactionary
commands that can respond to attacks if needed (But that is a
different upgrade). There is also other upgrades that can be
made to the nervous system, such as one that controls and reacts
to pain, which is an optional upgrade that can be added through
the enhancements of this upgrade. Through this, the nervous
system gets a necessary upgrade that is needed to work with the
cybernetics between the body and mind. This can be done through
cybernetic replacements of nerves, or this can be done through
nanotech enhancement of the nervous system. If done through
replacement, the cybernetics replace the nerves completely and
control the whole body, while supplementing the nerves with
things like nanotech means that not as much control of the body
is required. However, no matter how this is done, this is a
necessary upgrade, and without it, the brain cannot communicate
with the cybernetics in the body, which could cause problems if
the cybernetics require that communication to function (not all
do, but many rely on it). And damage to the nerves can still
interrupt signals between the brain and body especially if the
cybernetics in the nerves get damaged, as one might expect. Vin
and V have this enhancement of their nervous system, which is
done through nanotech enhancement that supplements their nerves.
By using electrical currents, they are able to interact with
their cybernetics using electrical currents absorbed into the
body through their Electrode Nanotech which uses electrical
currents throughout the body, and currents produced by their
Zeus Engine.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Pain Inhibitors:
~Most people would rather not feel pain at all, but those in
cybernetics understand that there is a need for registering
damage done to the body and to cybernetics. This is an optional
upgrade which is designed to handle pain in a way that makes it
more easily managed by the body. Many cybernetics utilize pain
inhibitors, which suppress the pain felt by the body. In doing
this, the body essentially feels no pain when damaged, allowing
someone to continue their normal activities even if their body
is damaged in some way (assuming they can still move). There are
two major ways this is done. The first is that cybernetics can
completely shut down all pain, making it so that the person who
gets this upgrade can feel no pain at all. This leads to a pain
suppression where someone doesn't ever feel any physical pain.
But the more common method is that the pain is converted into
data processed by the cybernetics into a signal that is sent
through the cybernetics to the mind in a way that doesn't
overwhelm the mind. This allows the mind to process damage done
to the body, and does so without sending the body into shock
when pain becomes too great (usually) so that pain tolerance
stops being an issue. No matter the method used, this
enhancement is something that is installed into the nervous
system cybernetics, whether it's through nanotech or some kind
of artificial nerves, and is an upgrade that is usually set up
with the pain receptors in the body. And depending on the
cybernetics, there may be options to turn this function on or
off depending on the cybernetics and their design, or there may
even be options to show the user damage done on a user interface
if one has that upgrade to their brain and nerves. However,
there are some disadvantages to this. Not being able to feel
pain can make people feel fine when they are not, and can cause
them to further damage their bodies if they don't understand the
damage to their bodies. For example, a cut that someone can't
feel could get worse if the person cannot feel it and they keep
going about as normal. This can be dangerous, and even
converting the signals for pain so that the mind can process the
damage done can still mislead the mind that things are okay when
they are not. Almost all of those in the Olympus Organization
has these pain inhibitors, which convert pain into signals sent
to the brain's cybernetics to show damage done. This lets those
in the Olympus Organization process damage to their bodies and
cybernetics, and those with a user interface can even get
messages about damage done to their bodies through a display.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Senses Enhancement:
~This is another optional upgrade one can have done to their
nervous system that focuses more on the senses. With this
upgrade, those enhanced gain enhanced normal senses which are
enhanced with cybernetics to be more effective than normal
senses. Depending on the cybernetics, some senses may be
enhanced more than others, and this can even be tailored to
one's own specific senses. In advanced enough cybernetics, there
may even be options to adjust the level of one's senses to
varying degrees, allowing those enhanced to utilize this in
whatever way they see fit. This makes it so that most
cybernetics users can tailor their enhanced senses to their
liking by adjusting the sensitivity, like adjusting the
sensitivity of a controller when playing a video game. Some may
have more enhanced senses than others, with there being
positives and negatives to having either stronger or weaker
enhanced senses depending on the options chosen. Among some
examples include an enhanced sense of touch that allows one to
sense more through touch than other beings, and even an enhanced
sense of taste where someone can taste things that most other
beings wouldn't. This depends on the cybernetics upgrade and its
capabilities, but there is usually two methods of this. There
are highly enhanced senses, where users have high levels of
senses whether it is one sense or multiple senses that are
enhanced. Those with this kind of sense are far more sensitive
to the environment around them, and can do far more than others
without enhanced senses. However, those with stronger senses are
more vulnerable to having their senses overwhelmed, where
stronger enhanced senses can be used against the cybernetics
user just like against humans and supernaturals (IE a highly
enhanced smell can be overwhelmed by strong enough smells).
Meanwhile, those with weaker enhanced senses don't have nearly
as high senses as higher levels, and don't have quite as high of
an ability to sense the environment around them. However, lesser
enhanced cybernetics do have an advantage in that their enhanced
senses aren't as sensitive and cannot be overwhelmed nearly as
easy as those with higher level (even if it costs them not being
able to interact with the environment as much). This is
different for each cybernetics user depending on their
cybernetics and their own senses before their upgrade. This
doesn't include certain other senses, such as supernatural
senses or other enhanced cybernetic optics enhancements (That's
another optional upgrade), though, as those are different
upgrades that can be added. Also, the user's senses before the
upgrade also factor in, as their senses are still the base stat,
so those who undergo cybernetics upgrades may have further
enhanced senses than normal, or less enhanced if they require
less enhanced senses. All of those in the Olympus Organization
have customizable sense enhancements, where they can use their
user interface to change the levels of their sensitivity
depending on how strong they want their senses to be. Though
going too high can still overwhelm those with these enhancements
if they set their senses too high.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Optics Enhancement and Ionic Sense:
~This is another optional upgrade that can be applied to more
advanced cybernetics. By changing a user's user interface,
different visions can be applied through cybernetics, which
grant additional senses that normal beings may not have. For
example, a common enhancement is magnified vision, where a user
can essentially zoom in on something and see farther than normal
people would be able to using a process similar to binoculars.
There are also many other visions, such as thermal vision,
night-vision, sonar vision, and even X-ray vision by shifting
into different modes through optical upgrades. Usually, this
requires artificial eyes, but some more advanced nanotech can
add this function to the eyes without needing artificial eyes.
This depends on the upgrade, and what the cybernetics can do.
Not all cybernetics can support this kind of optical upgrade,
but there are many that can. All that is required is a mode that
can support some kind of vision, such as sonar vision being able
to be used if one can analyze how sound interacts with the
environment, or x-ray vision being used by cybernetics that are
able to produce x-rays that can see through solid matter. Some
more advanced cybernetics may even be able to combine senses to
map out an area, by combining things like thermal and sound
analysis to get a more accurate sense of everything around the
person. This is a special upgrade that is installed into the
optics, and interacts with the nerves in the eyes. When the eyes
utilize a certain type of vision, the cybernetics convert that
vision into data the brain can process, and data that their
brain's cybernetics can understand. This can add another layer
of abilities to someone with cybernetic enhancements, where they
can artificially add new senses depending on their upgrades.
However, all of these senses have certain weaknesses. For
example, extreme light can overwhelm night-vision, and something
that produces no heat would be next to invisible in thermal
vision. Depending on the optical enhancements, there are ways to
avoid almost any kind of sight if one knows how the sight works,
and there are ways to take advantage of certain kinds of sight.
Also, the kind of visions that can be applied depend on the
cybernetics, as not all cybernetics can utilize all kinds of
sights. Vin specifically has night-vision, thermal vision and
magnification vision. However, her and V's unique vision is
their ionic vision, which lets them analyze and map out
electromagnetic charges in the area around them to tell what is
conducting electricity and what is not. This gives them a unique
sense since their power relies on electricity.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Electrode Heart and Circulatory
Electrode Nanotech:
~When releasing energy into the body through a core device, it
is necessary to protect the body from the energy no matter how
innocent the energy may seem. Even if the body can withstand the
energy, the body still requires upgrades so that it won't be
damaged if the energy becomes more than the body can handle.
With that, this upgrade covers that, and is often used to line
the walls of the blood vessels and of the heart so that the
cybernetics can protect the rest of the body from the energy in
the blood. In addition, these upgrades also act as an
intermediary between the cybernetics in the blood and the
cybernetics in the body, in which the blood transports energy
through these channels where the energy is released into the
body's cybernetics like into the muscles and skin. However, the
main purpose of this upgrade is done specifically to protect the
body first. There are two ways this can be done. The easiest way
is through the use of nanotech, where cybernetics that use
nanotech can simply infuse the nanotech into the blood and
program the nanotech to take root in the walls of blood vessels
and the heart as needed through injection treatments. The other
method, which is more time consuming, is to replace the vessels
(arteries and veins) with artificial synthetic material that
will act as the walls of the vessels. Typically, this also
requires artificial blood to be injected into the body, but it
can be done. This upgrade also regulates blood flow through the
body. Depending on the upgrades, this can even be used to
regulate blood pressure so that one's blood pressure doesn't get
too high or too low (which is necessary so that the blood can
transport energy throughout the body). This is another necessary
upgrade, as cybernetics can damage the body if the body is not
properly protected. In this case, not only from the energy of
the core device, but also from the strain that the cybernetics
put on the body through enhanced movement. Like one might guess
though, this enhancement must operate efficiently in order to be
effective, and if the blood vessels or heart are damaged, this
becomes less effective. Without this, the energy may end up
trapped in the blood, or may break down the body if the energy
gets out of the blood. All Olympus Organization members are
given nanotech treatments which enhance the blood vessels and
walls of the heart with nanotech that protects the body from the
cybernetics. The cybernetics also disperse the energy from the
blood into the cybernetics in the rest of the body as well,
making it a necessary upgrade as part of this set of upgrades. V
and Vin have Electrode Nanotech, a special nanotech that absorbs
and directs electrical currents which are the main power of
their cybernetics.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Electrode Nanotech Lung Enhancement:
~One might think the lungs don't need enhancement since oxygen
is not really needed for the cybernetics. However, the purpose
of this enhancement is not to interact with other cybernetics,
but to protect the lungs. For the most part, this upgrade is a
necessary upgrade because of the strain that can be put on the
body through cybernetics. If the body moves more intensely than
normal, the lungs could be affected, which would be bad. In this
upgrade, one gets a special upgrade to the lungs with protect
the lungs, and regulate the lungs so that they operate as
needed. Typically, this upgrade makes sure the lungs don't
collapse or even explode from the strain of the cybernetics on
the body. In addition, more advanced cybernetics can regulate
the body's breathing, helping the body breath more effectively
and sometimes prevent issues like hyperventilation. There are
two ways to apply this upgrade. The first is the easier and
sometimes more effective way, which is to replace the lungs with
artificial lungs. In doing this, devices can be implanted which
replace the lungs and take on their functionality, usually with
devices that are strong enough to handle the cybernetics. This
can also grant certain other abilities if one gets special
upgraded lungs (such as some artificial lungs can be made to
produce fire that can be breathed out similar to dragon flame).
The other option is to use nanotech, which can be programmed and
infused into the lung tissue. By doing this method, the nanotech
fuses with the lungs and the nanotech is powered by the energy
of the core device that is moved through the blood. This method
is far less invasive, and can be easily injected into the body
where the nanotech will find its way into the lung tissue
through the blood stream if the nanotech is programmed properly.
However, no matter the method used, this is a necessary upgrade
that is needed. Without it, the user might risk destroying their
lungs through strain. However, if damaged, the lungs would be
affected, and could be shut down if enough damage is taken. Vin
and V have special Electrode Nanotech infused into their lungs
to both protect their lungs from the electrical current produced
by their Zeus engines, but also to regulate their breathing.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Digestive System Electrode Nanotech
Enhancement:
~Some would argue this is not needed, but similar to the lungs,
this is a necessary upgrade to protect the digestive system.
Similar to the lungs, there are two methods to apply this
upgrade. The first is with artificial organs and digestive
tract, which is made with synthetic material. This can more
effectively break down things in the digestive system, and there
is much less risk of infections since the tract is artificial
and not subject to organic infection. The second is with
nanotech, where nanotech can be infused into the digestive
system so that it seems more natural. The advantage to this is
that nanotech can absorb more energy from digested food than
normal digestion can, which allows the nanotech to release more
nutrients into the blood through digestion. Another advantage is
that nanotech can more easily break down things that may not be
digestible, which makes the digestion process much more
efficient. However, the other purpose is to protect the
digestive system from the cybernetics strain on the body,
similar to the enhancements to the lungs. This is necessary
mostly because of the strain of cybernetics on the body, where
the body must be protected from damage done by the cybernetics
enhancing the body beyond normal capacity. Certain functions can
even be added depending on the cybernetics, some may have
additional functions like appetite suppression, infection
blockers or even enhancements that can break down
contaminates/poisons in the digestive tracks. Depending on the
enhancement, this enhances the digestive system, and is another
necessary upgrade when talking about cybernetics enhancements.
For the most part, this being operational is not as necessary as
other cybernetics like those in the heart or brain, but is more
necessary to protect the digestive system. Without it, the
digestive system would be torn apart when cybernetics moved the
body, so this upgrade prevents that. Without this upgrade, a
user can damage themselves just by moving around. Of course,
like all cybernetics, these upgrades can be destroyed if the
cybernetics become damaged, which is more likely with artificial
digestive tract than with nanotech, but can still happen. And
like other cybernetics, this upgrade does not work if the
cybernetics are damaged or destroyed. All Olympus Organization
members possess nanotech upgrades to their digestive tracts
which come with the ability to break down toxins, as well as
being able to more effectively absorb more energy and nutrients
than normal digestion would allow. V and Vin have Electrode
Nanotech, which absorbs electrical currents, making it so that
electrical currents won't damage their bodies.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Internal Organs Electrode Nanotech
Enhancement:
~Once again, this involves more protection of the body through
the use of cybernetics in order to protect the organs from being
damaged by the cybernetics and the body's enhanced movements.
These cybernetics, instead of being installed in the lungs or
digestive tract, are installed in the organs (or replacing
organs in the event of artificial organs). As one might guess,
there are two main ways to utilize this necessary upgrade. The
first is to use artificial organs, installing them into the body
in place of the originals. This is a great method to replace
damaged organs, or to replace organs with a device that would
last longer than most organic organs would. The advantage to
this method is that one can replace the organs with much
stronger organs and don't have to worry about failure (usually)
unless there is damage done to the body. This method can be used
on almost any organ, as long as the artificial organ can replace
whatever function the organ is supposed to do. The disadvantage
is that the artificial organs operate only as they are
programmed, and are not usually able to adjust easily on the fly
like organic organs can (which can be both useful and
detrimental). The other option is nanotech, which is infused
into the organs that can protect them from harm and regulate
their functions. This option is useful because it allows
cybernetics to infuse naturally into the organs and regulate
their function more easily than artificial organs can, and the
nanotech is more easily able to adjust and regulate organ
function as needed in conjunction with the rest of the
cybernetics in the body even if the organic tissue is damaged
(to a point). However, the disadvantage to nanotech is that they
only supplement the organs, and do not completely replace them,
meaning that the organs are a bit more vulnerable to damage than
artificial organs would be. And both methods are meant to
protect the organs, which the cybernetics utilize in conjunction
with the cybernetics in the body. However, as one might guess,
damage done to the organs can interrupt or even shut down the
cybernetics in the organs if they are damaged. And like any
cybernetics, if the cybernetics are damaged or destroyed, then
the functions of these cybernetics stop. All Olympus
Organization members have nanotech enhanced organs (though some
may have artificial organs depending on the person), and their
nanotech both monitors and regulates organ function. For V and
Vin, they have special Electrode Nanotech that protects their
organs from electrical currents, and helps regulate their organ
functions as needed.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Electrode Muscle Fiber Nanotech
Enhancement:
~This enhancement is to the muscles, which are enhanced with
cybernetics. When it comes to the muscles, the purposes start to
become more than just protecting the body, even though
protecting the body is still a major component of this upgrade
as well. In this case, this is also about putting power and
strength into the body, as the muscles are perhaps the biggest
component of installing enhanced strength into the body. As one
might guess, there are two ways to utilize this. The first is to
utilize artificial muscles, which are introduced in place of the
originals. This grants an advantage in that stronger muscles can
be implanted into someone that are far stronger than normal
muscles (Both in power and durability, and can be used to
utilize far more strength than one would get with organic
muscles. Depending on the cybernetics, there are some cybernetic
muscles that can put the power of a jackhammer into the limbs,
which make them far stronger. The disadvantage to this method is
that the body must be supplied with stronger cybernetics to
protect the body from damage, as the increased strength puts far
more strain on the body. However, the other method also has
advantages, which is by using nanotech to enhance the muscles.
With this upgrade, the advantage is that the nanotech
strengthens the muscles naturally, and doesn't require as much
artificial upgrade to protect the body since the strain put on
the body is significantly lessened with nanotech enhancement. No
matter the method though, the muscles gain both enhanced
strength and durability that both allow more power to be used,
and the muscles to be protected from damage from the cybernetics
strain on the body. The downside is that the body doesn't get as
much strength put into the limbs, as the nanotech is only a
supplement, not a replacement of their normal muscles (which may
also allow for better movement depending on the cybernetics).
The level of strength and durability enhancement usually depends
on the upgrade and the method of muscle enhancement used. And as
one might guess, this upgrade only works as long as the
cybernetics are not damaged, and if they are, then the functions
may be interrupted or stopped. Those in the Olympus Organization
all have this enhancement, though some may use one method while
others may use the other. This depends more on the individual
than other upgrades, due to it being partially up to the user
how much power they want to install into their cybernetics. For
Vin, she possesses nanotech upgrades, which provide less
strength, but allow for her to not need stronger protection from
her cybernetics. V and Vin's nanotech also is designed to absorb
and redirect electrical currents, specifically to enhance their
muscles through electrical charges to boost their physical stats
(more in cybernetic skills).
Cybernetic Enhancement: Epidermis Enhancement:
~The next upgrade one typically makes with cybernetic
enhancements is by enhancing the skin. There are a few main
methods to do this. The first is to use artificial skin to
replace the skin, and the second is to utilize nanotech or
something infused into the skin to enhance the skin. There are a
number of ways to accomplish it, but the skin is another
necessary enhancement that is needed when the body is enhanced
with cybernetics. The first reason is to protect the body from
the strain of movement thanks to the enhanced movement of
cybernetics. This is similar to many other cybernetics, where
the body needs supplemental support so that it can handle
certain enhancements in the body. There are other lesser
enhancements that can be added to this as well, such as
genetically modifying the carbon in the body to strengthen the
skin considerably (which can use the carbon in the body rather
than having to inject or modify the skin directly). Another
reason that this is a necessary upgrade is that this upgrade
hardens the skin so that it is harder to pierce, and makes it so
that the body is less likely to take damage that would make it
into the body where the damage could damage other cybernetics.
Many enhance the skin so that it becomes like an armor over the
skin, which makes the skin much stronger than it would be with
organic beings. Without this upgrade, the skin would tear itself
apart when one moved with cybernetics (which would be bad).
Typically, this enhancement is applied to the epidermis, which
is the outermost layer of the skin, but some enhancements can
also be applied to the inner layers of the skin, the dermis and
the hypodermis (which are deeper layers of the skin). However,
it is important to note that the skin cannot be made too strong
and rigid, or the body will not be able to move and/or would not
be able to be pierced should the body need surgery for whatever
reason. There must be balance, where strength is applied, but
not to the point where the skin becomes too rigid and hard. And
even though the skin is stronger, it can still be pierced by
stronger attacks, depending on the upgrade. Also, some upgrades
may work differently from others, so it is important to note
those differences.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Electrode Epidermal Current
Generation/Manipulation:
~In some cybernetic upgrades, energy buildup in the body can be
a problem. In addition, there are also some cybernetics that are
designed to generate energy that is meant to be released through
the skin (whether it's intentional or not). This upgrade is
optional, but necessary for some cybernetics depending on the
upgrade. Typically, this involves further epidermal enhancement,
where the skin is somehow further enhanced beyond just being
tough to pierce. In this upgrade, enhancements in the skin are
designed to absorb energy from the body, usually from the other
cybernetics in the body, which then release the energy from the
body harmlessly. There are a few ways to do this, whether it's
through artificial cybernetics or certain kinds of nanotech,
depending on the cybernetics and how advanced the technology is
available. Some cybernetics use this to release the energy from
the body to attack enemies, usually releasing some kind of
energy from some sort of core device that produces some kind of
energy that is meant to be used by the cybernetics. Another way
to use this is as a safety feature, where cybernetics can use
this as a means to release extra energy produced, so that it
doesn't build up in the body. Typically, this is used for
cybernetics that generate either high levels of energy as a way
to get rid of additional energy, or generate energies that may
be dangerous to a person if they are exposed to too much energy
in their bodies. This typically works best when used with
nanotech, but can be used with devices implanted in the body
depending on the cybernetics available. Of course, as one might
guess, there does have to be some kind of control with this
upgrade, where the cybernetics need to be monitored by the
systems of the cybernetics (so that the energy released can be
regulated). Also, this kind of upgrade has to be carefully
designed so it doesn't hurt the person who's using it, as it
needs to be able to safely disperse energy (which is the point
of this upgrade). And with all upgrades, if the cybernetics are
damaged, then whatever function this upgrade has will stop
working, which could lead to energy buildup in the body. V and
Vin both have slightly different variations of this upgrade,
which was tailored to them specifically.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Hardened Carbon Bone Nanotech:
~Because many with cybernetics gain enhanced movement through
cybernetics, this is another necessary upgrade that the body
needs when dealing with cybernetics. As one might guess by now,
it is necessary to utilize this in order to protect the bones,
so that the bones don't break. The first thing this upgrade has
to accommodate is the weight of the cybernetics. Because many
cybernetics weigh more than the body can normally handle, the
bones must be enhanced to handle those cybernetics weight
without breaking. As such, this is the first thing to consider
when utilizing this enhancement. The second thing to consider is
strengthening the bones so that the bones can handle the
movement of the body which is enhanced by cybernetics. Because
of the strength and speed of many cybernetics, it is important
that the bones be enhanced to be strong enough to handle the
rates at which the body moves, and handle the increased strength
output generated by the cybernetics. Typically, there are a few
ways to do this. The first is to enhance the bones with
something through injection. The main choices are usually either
nanotech, or some kind of material that strengthens the bones
(Such as Weapon X infusing adamantium into the bones of
Wolverine). The other way is through artificial bones, which can
be made of synthetic material (but must be able to replicate the
functions of real bones) that is stronger than normal bones to
handle the strain of the cybernetics. Either way this is applied
though, there are two main ways to get this enhancement: The
first is either to replace the bones with artificial bones, or
enhance the bones with some kind of special enhancement (usually
nanotech or some kind of material to harden the bones. However,
while making the bones nearly indestructible may sound like a
good idea, the idea runs into the same problem as the skin
enhancement in that making the bone too hard causes more
problems than it solves. If the bone is coated in a material
that hardens too much, it will block the bone marrow from
sending red blood cells into the bloodstream, which could kill
someone unless they have synthetic blood. And depending on the
upgrade, certain upgrades have specific weaknesses, such as
adamantium bones have a weakness to electricity due to being
highly conductive. V has special nanobots enhancements that not
only let her utilize electricity, but her nanobots in her bones
also rewrites the carbon in the collagen cells in her body to
harden and strengthen the bones considerably so that they are
extremely difficult to break.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Bone Mending/Regenerative Enhancement:
~This is an optional enhancement which is done for the bones.
For this upgrade, cybernetics are used to regenerate bones
should they break through some means of cybernetic upgrade.
Typically, the one most used for this is nanotech or some kind
of substance that can travel through the blood, due to the fact
that this usually needs to be infused into the bones. But there
are some that can create artificial bones that have regenerative
capabilities, whether it's through some kind of synthetic
healing or some kind of property that lets the material re-bond
if it is severed. This is not a necessary upgrade, but one that
is very convenient, especially since the body is under so much
strain all the time thanks to the cybernetics that are put into
the body. Because of this, this special enhancement was designed
for the bones specifically. For this upgrade, the upgrade was
specifically designed to reset bones if they are ever broken,
and heal those bones whether it's through re-bonding material or
healing the damage. This upgrade typically is made with ways to
heal broken bones, so that the bones will not suffer damage for
too long. This upgrade is also designed so that the bones can be
healed/fixed without needing surgical procedures, and allows
self healing. Depending on the upgrade and methods used, broken
bones can be fixed extremely fast, and some upgrades can even
fix damaged cybernetics in the bones. This upgrade is usually
best done with nanotech upgrades infused into the bones, but
this can be done through some kinds of artificial bones
developed to bond again if they are damaged. This depends on the
enhancement, but this can be a very useful enhancement to those
who expect to get into fights, or need some kind of self healing
bone enhancement if they expect to take a lot of damage.
However, as one might expect, this upgrade is not perfect, and
depending on the methods used to enhance the bones healing, some
methods have specific weaknesses over others. And there is
always a risk of bones not resetting or healing correctly,
depending on how they are broken. And depending on the upgrade,
this also determines how long it takes to fix bones, since the
process varies from upgrade to upgrade, and partially depends on
the person being upgraded. V has a nanotech enhancement of her
bones, which increases her healing if her bones should ever
break. In addition to the nanotech that hardens her bones, this
upgrade also makes her bones heal extremely fast. While V
typically does have to reset her bones herself if she were to
break a bone, she could heal in a matter of hours from a broken
bone where most would take weeks even with certain cybernetic
upgrades.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Gel Layer Extreme Environment
Enhancement:
~This is another optional upgrade, this time one that goes under
the skin. Between the dermis (between the outer layer, the
epidermis and the inner layer the hypodermis) and hypodermis
(the innermost part of the skin), there is a layer of fat cells.
There are actually multiple purposes of this layer of fat, with
three main purposes being used in cybernetics for enhancement.
Certain cybernetic scientists started referring to their
upgrades as creating a "gel layer" using those fat cells, and
the name has since become a standard name for enhancing these
fat cells. This upgrade covers one of those possible three
upgrades. This upgrade enhances the fat layers insulation
ability, which protects the body from hot and cold, and helps
keep the body heat contained while keeping the cold out of the
body (to a degree). With this upgrade, the fat layer is either
enhanced through nanotech, artificial tissue, or the fat layer
is genetically modified. By combining this with the skin
enhancement, those with this upgrade can be made to handle much
more extreme temperatures than most people would be able to
handle. This helps the body maintain its temperature, and keeps
the excess hot or cold out of the body so that the body can
remain insulated. This works against both extreme hot and
extreme cold, making the body able to adapt more easily on both
ends of the spectrum. While there are still limits to what those
enhanced can endure, this is a great upgrade for those who need
to handle extreme heat or extreme cold areas, as this upgrade
helps one adapt much more easily. With the skin upgrade
protecting the skin, and the other cybernetics protecting the
rest of the body, the body can be made to handle much more
extreme temperatures, depending on the upgrade. However, while
this can allow stronger adaption to environment temperatures, it
isn't perfect, and hot or cold enough temperatures can still
affect the person enhanced with this. Also, this doesn't help
with certain conditions, such as acid or radiation (depending on
the upgrade). This is more about adapting to temperatures rather
than protecting the body, so it doesn't add as much defense to
one's durability as one might think.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Immune System Nanotech
Poison/Contaminate Control:
~One advantage to having cybernetics that replace or modify the
blood is that there are many different kinds of nanotech that
can be programmed to do certain things within the blood to help
the body. In this case, there are special upgrades that help the
immune system, whether it's through artificial white blood
cells, or nanotechnology designed to help the white blood cells.
Whether it's through artificial blood or nanotech, this upgrade
is a necessary upgrade for the body. Normally, the body would
recognize cybernetics as foreign and reject the cybernetics
(usually causing problems in the body). However, this is meant
to help with that, as well as help supplement the immune system.
In addition to the immune system doing what it normally does,
this upgrade helps the immune system, and supplements its
ability to remove dangerous substances from the blood. Depending
on the upgrade, some upgrades for this can actually replace the
white blood cells completely. This upgrade works by using
cybernetics in some way, whether it's through artificial white
blood cells or nanotechnology, to break down foreign substances
in the blood so that they can be filtered out harmlessly.
Depending on the upgrade, this can even break down poisons, as
well as many other things that might make it into the blood.
Some upgrades can even fight radiation sickness, and can fight
off things like bacteria and viruses (meaning those with this
upgrade usually can counter sicknesses with this upgrade). And
depending on the upgrade, this can be paired with regenerative
enhancements to heal the body as it breaks down toxins that may
be harming the body. This upgrade also has to use certain
processes to make sure the body doesn't reject the cybernetic
enhancements, as most human bodies would reject foreign objects
being placed into the body. As such, this upgrade's second
purpose is to either protect the cybernetics from white blood
cells, or somehow trick the white blood cells that the
cybernetics are not foreign to the body. And as one might guess,
this upgrade doesn't always know what to fight off, so it may
not be able to break down every substance, since it can only
break down substances it has been programmed to, and can safely
break down. As such, there may be things that make it into the
body that this upgrade cannot counter, specifically things the
upgrade hasn't been programmed to deal with. V has a special
nanotech in her blood. Not only does the nanotech protect and
heal her body, but it also breaks down contaminates and poisons,
as well as counters most sicknesses in the world that she may
come down with.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Adaptive Cybernetic System:
~This upgrade is not as necessary as some upgrades, but still a
necessary upgrade. In this upgrade, the cybernetics systems are
designed to adapt to the person they are being installed in, so
that the person and the cybernetics can adapt as needed to be
more efficient. Usually, this upgrade is installed as a software
in the cybernetics system, usually as part of the brain and
nerve enhancements. In this upgrade, the cybernetics are
programmed to adapt with the person who is upgraded, and operate
as efficiently as possible for whatever purpose the cybernetics
are serving. For example, if the cybernetics are limiting
mobility too much, the cybernetics can lessen the restraint of
the cybernetics so that the person can move without as much
restraint to make them more agile and flexible. And as the
person trains in combat, the cybernetics may register certain
movements for reactionary movements depending on the
cybernetics. There are a few ways to install this upgrade to
someone, but the best way is usually in combination with a
cybernetic brain enhancement. Most cybernetics are not adaptable
on their own, and usually require some kind of system to be able
to adapt. This upgrade is designed make the cybernetics operate
as the user desires, and is meant to make the cybernetics more
customizable to how the user wants to utilize them. This can be
a combat upgrade, or the system can adapt to how the person uses
cybernetics in daily life. For example, if the cybernetics
system registers someone needing enhanced strength for routine
work, the cybernetics may adapt to try and increase the strength
of the person in some way. Typically, the adaptability depends
on the cybernetics, as not all cybernetics are easily adaptable.
Usually, only nanotech type upgrades are compatible with this
kind of upgrade. Also, when adapting, usually the cybernetics
adaption comes with a price. For example, in order to increase
strength, the cybernetics may sacrifice some mobility to
strengthen the body's raw physical power. V is one of the most
adaptable fighters in the current world, and combining this with
her martial arts along with this upgrade makes her cybernetics
much more adaptable. Since most of her cybernetics are nanotech,
her nanotech can adapt much more easily.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Reactive Enhancement:
~This is an optional upgrade that can be done to the nerves and
mind through cybernetics, and combined with the precision
movement system that helps guide the body's movement. This is a
special combat upgrade where the cybernetics are tuned to detect
incoming attacks through stimuli in the body and in the area
around the user. By doing this, the cybernetics can be made to
detect incoming attacks, and can be programmed to help the body
react to those incoming attacks without the person consciously
being aware of it. This upgrade depends on the cybernetics, but
those with certain cybernetics can be given this upgrade in some
way, usually programmed within the nerves' and skin's
cybernetics. There are a number of ways to use this, such as
reading incoming touch senses for signs of danger, or using
scanning technology to scan the area around the user. Some can
even use special senses using cybernetics like sonar to detect
things around them, even if they are not consciously aware of
it. And because computer systems can react much faster than
organic minds can, this grants an almost instant reaction time
to almost any attack that the cybernetics can detect. This can
enhance almost anyone with a reactive combat enhancement, even
if they're not a fighter. However, this typically works best
with people with combat talent, in which this can be used to
supplement their combat talent further. Since base ability does
matter when planning cybernetic enhancements, the more ability
one has for combat, the easier it is to apply this upgrade. Once
applied, many types of cybernetics can detect many manners of
attacks, including sneak attacks. And this doesn't require any
input from the user, as this becomes something that happens in
the background of their cybernetics systems, almost like
subconscious thought. However, while useful, not all manners of
attacks may be detected. Some kinds of attacks may get around
this reaction ability if one knows how to fool the systems that
govern this reaction. Also, some who use this can end up
becoming predictable in how they dodge, since the cybernetics
act as programmed, and sometimes the dodging movements can be
predicted in certain circumstances. V has this upgrade as well,
in which she is able to react with her cybernetics. This makes
many sneak attacks useless on her, especially when combined with
her martial arts skills.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Anti-Tech Psychic Defense/Anti-Tech
Disruption/EMP Resistance:
~As time goes on, the battle to create more advanced technology
also comes with a downside: The battle to counter that more
advanced technology. As such, it became necessary for
cybernetics to be upgraded as a result so that they would be
less prone to the weaknesses of normal technology. As such,
those that make cybernetics must put in certain defenses,
allowing the cybernetics to function even when attacked directly
by certain types of forces. One of the big ones is tech
disruption, which usually comes in the form of technology
psychics and EMPs, as well as certain electromagnetic weapons.
With every technological advancement, there are upgraded
protocols that have to be put in place to defend the cybernetics
against threats. As such, every cybernetic upgrade usually has
some kind of protection built in. One such protection comes from
protecting against EMP and other tech disruption technologies
designed to interrupt technology. Usually, cybernetics have some
kind of protection, usually in the form of either making
cybernetics that aren't vulnerable to technology disruption, or
by giving certain defense measures that can protect it. One
method some cybernetics use is to enhance the skin to act like a
barrier, where it can form a kind of protect against waves that
may try to pass through the body. Another thing that cybernetics
users have to worry about are those that can control technology
like psychics (things like hacking and viruses are covered
later). By applying upgrades to cybernetics, it is possible to
defend against certain kinds of attacks, and can make one more
resistant to normal technology disabling measures many will use
against them. Technology disruption, whether it's through tech
disruption devices or by EMP (Electromagnetic pulse), this is
always a danger to cybernetics. However, the defense against
this depends on the cybernetics and what they can do. Not all
cybernetics can protect against all forms of tech disruption,
and 100% protection is not possible with the rate of advancing
technology, no matter the universe. As such, this upgrade is not
always perfect, and it is still possible to also overpower this
protect with strong enough power. If the cybernetics are shut
down, the person upgraded may not be able to move at all, or
worse, could die if the cybernetics are keeping them alive
(usually if the heart or brain are replaced by cybernetics).
While V is immune to almost all forms of electromagnetic tech
disruption, she is not immune to tech psychics, or people with
other forms of tech disruption she doesn't understand. While she
is good with technology, even she can't always predict how
people will overcome her cybernetics.
Cybernetic Enhancement: Anti-Hack and Anti-Virus System:
~The second major danger to cybernetics is hacking. Those that
can hack computer systems or mechanical systems are always
learning to hack more advanced systems, and cybernetics users
have to be ready to defend against this. Typically, this is
mostly a problem for those that use computer systems in their
cybernetics, or have a computer system in their brains through
some kind of chip or nanotech upgrade. In order to defend
against this, systems must have protection against hacking.
There are two main things cybernetics users have to be ready
for. The first is actual hacking, where someone will try to
force their way into the computer systems of the cybernetics.
The cybernetics need defense against this, or else it may be
possible for someone to take control of one's cybernetics. The
other defense one needs is against computer viruses, and other
types of infectious software that may infiltrate computer
systems in the cybernetics. But just as hackers are upgrading
their hacking abilities, so too are those developing defenses
against hacking. As such, cybernetics engineers are always
creating new ways to keep others out of their cybernetics
systems, and these defenses are usually installed in order to
protect cybernetics users. Usually, this upgrade is done by
upgrading systems with the latest in software protection and
anti-virus programs. Another way this upgrade can be done is
that the organic mind can be strengthened to control the
cybernetics, and make it so hackers cannot take control of the
organic brain that controls the cybernetics. No matter how its
used though, this protection is necessary so that cybernetics
users don't get hacked and their cybernetics are either taken
control of or shut down. However, as one might guess, these
upgrades are not always perfect, and can't always protect
against certain things. Typically, the best way to avoid being
hacked is to not interact with other computer systems, or
connect to networks through the cybernetics systems. However,
there is always a danger of people like other cybernetics users
who can interact with other systems through their own
cybernetics.
Cybernetic Lightning Based Powers:
Bio-Electricity Manipulation:
~The user can create, shape, and manipulate bio-electric
currents that exist within all aspects of the body such as in
the nervous system, heart, and muscles through the use of one's
biofield. The user is also capable of channeling this
bio-electrical energy into attacks or even drain the
bio-electrical energies that may dwell within another being. The
user can also find people by sensing their bioelectrical
presence and/or scramble personal bio-electric rhythms to shock
others.
Due to the Zeus Engine in her heart, V can generate and
manipulate electricity produced by her body.
Bio-Electricity Generation:
~The user can create and project bio-generated electricity.
Bio-Electric Aura:
~The user possesses a bio-electric aura, an invisible field of
concentrated bio-electricity surrounding the user's entire body.
The bio-electric aura first functions as a second skin, not
extending from the body, only protecting the user's skin from
incoming threats. The user's exoskeleton varies in durability,
from resisting gunfire to nuclear explosions. Without practice,
the field doesn't extend far from the skin, leaving even loose
clothing without protection; with practice, the user can extend
the aura further out from their body to protect anything in it.
The user can use their bio-electric exoskeleton inwards to
protect organs, bones, flesh, and the brain.
Combining it with supernatural strength allows the user to lift
large objects, such as mountains or cruise liners, and move them
without buckling like physics dictates. It's because their
bio-electric field envelopes the objects as extensions of them,
granting them near indestructibility. Users can manipulate their
bio-electric aura to harness the bio-electricity to achieve
other applications such as achieving electrostatic levitation,
allowing them to levitate and fly.
Bio-Electric Augmentation:
~The user is able to amplify/enhance their personal output of
bio-electricity, increasing the quantity/amplifying its
destructive power.
Bio-Electricity Infusion:
~The user can channel their bio-energy field to infuse
electricity into anything inside and around them. They can
mold/knead the aspects of electricity into whatever they choose.
This allows them to augment and manipulate the properties of
things to their leisure as well as strengthen themselves. The
user can also manifest the very electricity they infuse into
things and harness it however they please.
Personal Electric Field Manipulation:
~The user can manipulate their own electric field, channeling it
towards any use. They can harness both electric and
electromagnetic forces. Electromagnetism is seen as a byproduct
of electricity since it creates these forces when at work.
Electric Field Manipulation:
~The user can create, shape and manipulate electric fields, the
force that hold atoms together within objects, machines and/or a
field that surrounds and dwell in a person/being. They can
generate electrical fields and field waves of their own to form
tangible force-fields and many other feats or negate existing
electric fields, block attacks, and knock away opponents.
Electric fields may exist as the bio-electric fields that form
the aura of a person/being, flow through their nervous system
and/or as an intrinsic field. If the user is strong enough they
may be able to control the electric fields of all matter and
being in the universe.
Bio-Electromagnetic Manipulation:
~The user can create, shape and manipulate EM fields generated
by living beings. They can manipulate sub-atomic electromagnetic
particles affecting the atoms and molecules of their body
allowing effect like density shifting, neuro-psychological
reordering, direct interface with electronics, etc.
Bio-Magnetism Manipulation:
~The user can manipulate the magnetic fields produced by living
beings.
Bio-Magnetism Generation:
~The user can create and project bio-generated magnetic fields.
V is able to tap into bio-magnetic fields, either to adhere
herself or others to surfaces or to attract and/or repel them.
She is able to stick several people to the ground and to propel
herself off a wall.
Bio-Static Manipulation:
~The user can create, control, and manipulate bio-generated
static electricity, an imbalance of electric charges and the
potential energy stored within charged particles.
Lightning Manipulation:
~Users can create, shape, and manipulate lightning, a form of
electricity within the upper atmosphere resulting from the
movement of charged particles. As lightning bolts are giant
sparks of high-voltage electrical discharges caused by imbalance
charges in the atmosphere between storm clouds, the air, the
ground, or within the clouds themselves, and in the early stages
of development, the air acts as an insulator between the
positive and negative charges in the cloud and between the cloud
and the ground. Generally, through atmokinetic or electrokinetic
abilities, these users can excite and control these particles to
cause lightning with their will, directing it to wherever they
wish if focused, even simulating electrokinesis through them by
channeling; however, this can be difficult and incredibly
powerful to control.
A wide variety of different types of entities have possessed
this ability ranging from magicians, metahumans, mutants,
monsters, fairies, angels, demons, spirits, and even deities
themselves with the most potent users being gods/goddesses of
lightning.
Unlike electricity manipulation, which is the power to create
and manipulate electrical phenomena within the user's
environment, lightning manipulation is the power to
control/influence electrical phenomena within the upper
atmosphere at a greater range than most regular electrical
manipulators may be able to extend their abilities to. Even
though it may function in a similar if not the same manner for
certain electrical-based users, it will take a higher degree of
control and is considered a powerful technique that regular
electrical manipulators who may be able to summon lightning and
not possess the full range of manipulation over lightning from
within the atmosphere.
Electricity Immunity:
~Users are immune to electricity, being completely invulnerable
to direct and indirect effects. The user simply cannot be
paralyzed through electrical elements. They can touch electrical
outlets, and not be fatally shocked to death. Lightning could
shock them, yet it would be nothing more than a tickle to them.
Since they'd be as immune to electricity as pure rubber. Users
could even use electrical equipment in or around water, and not
worry about being electrocuted.
Energy Redirection (via lightning):
~The user is able to reflect energy and energy-based attacks
from their bodies and release them in a more desirable
direction, often back at the source.
Electric Pressure:
~The user can self-generate vast amounts of electricity to
crush, repel, or destroy objects or entire areas, and possibly
kill or paralyze their targets and cause various
electricity-based effects on the affected area.
Electric Conductivity:
~The user can generate and conduct electricity through their
bodies, created or not, making them totally invulnerable to
electricity, no matter the voltage. They can also discharge
electricity through conductive media (metal, water, etc.).
Lightning Bolt Projection:
~Users can summon lightning bolts from the sky or project them
from their own bodies (usually from owns hands), using them to
pierce and/or severely burn their opponents even to the point of
death. Unlike normal bolts of lightning, they could use them as
concussive or even piercing forces, which could be strong enough
to affect even greater beings of strength and durability.
Unlike Electrical Bolt Projection, the lightning bolts are far
more deadly in terms of voltage and speed, which also grants
tremendous temperature and kinetic force, averaging over
50,000°C (5 times hotter than the surface of the sun) with at
least 1,000,000,000 volts, moving at 61,111 miles (97 536
km)/second. Of course, advanced users may be able to regulate
the voltage discharged and speed, but the power is still enough
to be lethal and cannot be compared to low-powered electrical
bolts.
Electrical Transportation:
~User can transport themselves by electricity, by lightning or
electronics. This is achieved by either riding the flow of
electrons or becoming electricity itself for travel. If the user
is strong enough and/or skilled enough in this art of
transportation, then they can also transport by the electrons in
the air, static discharges and electrical components.
User can make lightning strike themselves to transport their own
molecules from one point to another.
Electrical Beam Emission:
~The user can produce and project beams of concentrated
electricity, which can shock or cause electrocution, pierce
through almost anything, or create destructive explosions upon
impact. Unlike simple electrical blasts, these beams do not
flicker, but instead travel in a straight line at high speed;
they can also flow like water, allowing them to be guided.
Lightning Ball Projection:
~The user can generate, create compressed balls of electrical
energy that are held together by their own gravity or by means
of a magnetic field that collapses on impact.
Electrokinetic Cloning:
~The user can create clones of oneself, others and/or objects by
using electricity. Since the user's copies are electrical their
enemies will be in for quite the shock upon direct attacks.
Electrified Surface:
~The user can cause surfaces (often floor) to emit electricity,
causing lightning-damage on anything in contact with them or the
lightning.
Electric Pillar Projection:
~User can shape electricity to generate pillars for attacks.
They may be able to guide the pillars, effective in both
offensive, defensive and even trapping the targets in combat.
Electric Spike Projection:
~The user can create and project needles/spikes of electricity
to impale targets. These spikes can be projected in mid-air or
generated from the ground; potentially creating a trail of
needles.
Electric Discharge:
~The user can control the flow of electric charge through a gas,
liquid or solid and other matters. Properties and effects of
electric discharges are useful over a wide range of magnitudes.
Tiny pulses of current are used to detect ionizing radiation.
The user can release large quantities of electrical energies in
radius wise to cause massive damage. The user can also formulate
a current as to how the electrical energy flows and guide it as
to where the user desires.
Prevalent Discharge:
~The user is capable of discharging destructive electrical
energy that flows through the air negating all resistance that
may be received from air or space. The destructive electrical
energy is capable of destroying an entire area, region, village,
town, city, country or world.
Pure Lightning Manipulation:
~User can create, shape and manipulate electricity/lightning of
beneficial nature; that which strengthens, enhances and causes
anything/everything it comes across to flourish, representing
the sustaining and preserving side of lightning, which in turn
ignores most of the common limitations and weaknesses of its
normal elemental variety. In essence, this is about solely
controlling the positive powers of electricity/lightning.
Divine Lightning Manipulation:
~The user can create, shape and manipulate lightning that's
highly effective against the supernatural, such as demons and/or
angels or, in special cases, a form of control over the element
especially used from deities associated with sky/storm/thunder
to fulfill various feats. The effectiveness can range from
trapping and/or immobilizing to outright banishing or killing
supernatural threats, even powerful enough that it can also be
used to harm even a deity. Furthermore, divine lightning may
have other properties and abilities, such as healing,
Resurrection, summoning angels and/or spirits of the deceased
from Heaven to the material plane.
Dark Lightning Manipulation:
~User can create, shape and manipulate electricity of a darker,
detrimental nature; that which damages, destroys, and consumes
anything/everything they come across, representing the hazardous
destructive side of electricity, which in turn ignores most of
the limitations and weaknesses of the normal darkness/shadow. In
essence, this is about solely controlling the negative powers of
electricity.
Yellow Lightning Manipulation:
~The user can create, shape, and manipulate yellow lightning.
This type is often associated with technology and speed-related
phenomenon. No one knows how or why V obtained this kind of
lightning other than it being the possibility of one of the
experiments. V use this ability as a form of speed boost, making
her able to be as fast as Darkfires or other speedsters.
Red Lightning Manipulation:
~The user can create, shape, and manipulate red lightning. The
lightning has been described as a "lightning that goes beyond
lightning", and is noticeably more powerful which can affect
those who are immune to electricity. This is one of V's
strongest and most deadliest lightning variation due to it
linked to her rage/berserker state. This lightning is strong
enough to even harm other lightning users who are naturally
immune to lightning.
Red Lightning Generation:
~The user can generate red lightning.
Red Lightning Aura:
~The user can release and surround themselves in/with red
lightning for defensive and/or offensive purposes, possibly
becoming almost untouchable and granting them various
abilities/attacks. The auras may also give the user enhanced
physical capabilities such as speed, strength, and durability.
Corrupted Lightning:
~This power turns lightning against other lightning users. This
cannot be absorbed by other lightning users as it does internal
damage to their lightning powers if they try similar to
corrupted light and corrupted darkness. However, this also works
in reverse in that if someone ever used this power on the user,
since they would be vulnerable to it as long as it's not their
own power being turned on them.
Air Based Abilities:
Bio-Air Manipulation:
~The user can create, shape, and manipulate air and gaseous
matter with their biofield. They can control any gaseous
substance as well as their natural properties. More advanced
users can eventually use this power to even manipulate one's own
vocals and soundwaves, as well control vacuums.
Bio-Air Energy Manipulation:
~The user can channel their bio-energy field to create, control,
and manipulate the energies found in and driving
air/gaseous-based elements. They can harness these elemental
forces inside and around them. The user can even manifest the
elements these energies drive.
Aerokinetic Flight:
~The user of this ability are able to take flight by riding the
air currents, by a wind storm like a tornado, and/or self
produced air/wind.
Aerial Adaptation:
~User is able to survive and adapt to extremely high or low air
pressure (not becoming disoriented or deprived of the normal
breathing capacity), and high wind friction; this is accompanied
by an innate immunity to vertigo and/or fear of heights.
Atmospheric Adaptation:
~The user’s lungs acclimatize and breathe in/on any gaseous
mediums, whether hostile or deficient, user's lungs also filter
away non-gaseous substances such as dust, asbestos, etc. They
can breathe toxic gases instead of oxygen and survive mountain,
aerial, or terrene air deficiency, which are among the longest
and most painful deaths the average human can suffer.
Airwave Manipulation:
~The user can control the ratio between air pressure and sound
waves, causing air molecules to vibrate at proportional
magnitude of the ratio. This allows the user to create and
control supersonic air currents. It also allows the user to
transmit and control sound within the atmosphere.
By increasing the air ratio to 100% (and reducing sound to 0%)
one can fire off highly condensed blunt blasts of air capable of
shattering rocks and deflecting weapons. Reversely, by
increasing the sound ratio to 100%, the user can generate
ultrasonic waves that cannot be heard by an average person. At
sufficient levels, the airwaves produce a blast overpressure, or
high-energy-impulse noise, which is the sharp instantaneous rise
in ambient atmospheric pressure, enough to cause critical or
even lethal effects.
Since the air acts as a medium for the sound vibrations, the
user does not need to worry about having no medium for the
airwaves to travel through. Due to the vibrations being capable
of traveling from one medium to another, the airwaves cannot be
blocked easily. What normally blocks sonic waves and vibrations
may be shattered by the high-pressurized air currents, allowing
the vibrations to continue towards the target, increasing the
range and lethality of the ability, while conversely what blocks
the air currents is shattered by the sonic vibrations.
In essence, this ability creates atmospheric air pressure to
allow sound waves to travel through, overcoming the weakness of
vacuum, while increasing in strength and versatility by adding
air pressure into the sound waves.
Airwave Generation:
~The user can generate airwaves.
V can create and manipulate airwaves to soften the ground via
high pressure liquefaction, increases the air pressure to 100%
and reducing sound waves to 0% to create blunt air blasts that
can deflect projectile weapons, and adds more pressure into her
blasts to strengthen her airwaves, enough to level a forest
area. She can also use this ability to use it as a sonic
roar/howl like attack or use the air molecules to hear from long
distances (max is 50 miles).
Chi Powers:
Chi Enhanced Physiology:
~The user entire physiology is enhanced by chi, having their
physical condition imbued with chi that empowers them to reach
higher increase of their natural physical attribute, power and
status. Their physiology being powered by chi which is a variant
of universal life-energy users can learn to harness their own
inner chi to allow for extraordinary abilities bound to chi
itself mostly due chi being channeled through the physical body.
Ki Control:
~Ki users aren't really all that different from chi, mana and
aura users, having their own skillset for ki use just as other
energy users have developed their own abilities. Similar to how
other energy users have certain focuses (like aura being used
for defense), ki users have a focus as well. In the case of ki
users, ki users focus on amplification of their bodies and
energy techniques using ki as their power source. Ki users are
most common when referring to Saiyans and Namekians who
specialize in ki as well as a few other select races like the
Frieza race (sometimes referred to as Acrosians) and certain
humans who learned the art as well, but can be used by any race
that can generate ki (which most living races or mechanical
races with ki generating cores can). This has the same drawbacks
as things like chi and aura though, as once the user runs out,
they can't use ki abilities anymore and can be left at a
disadvantage as they will lose their ability to use techniques
and lose their ki amplification. All of these abilities are
dodgable, with most being blockable with the right strategies
assuming it's not a defense piercing technique. And aura breaker
weapons can easily dispel almost any type of ki (it is not known
if there are any immune to aura breaker weapons, but so far none
have been reported), so aura breaker weapons can make pretty
quick work of ki attacks. And like aura, the color of one's ki
is usually random, depending on the individual and only
sometimes might reflect on the user, such as god ki users using
red or blue god ki, or super saiyans having yellow ki. Overall
though, ki users are just like many other energy users. This
covers mostly normal ki, though some can learn more advanced ki
like god ki, demon ki, or even certain other unique kinds of ki
that exist.
Dou/Sei Ki Knowledge Power Focus:
~While ki is often described as having positive and negative
types, this is more of a simpler explanation. The true focus of
ki is broken down into two ki's, which are present in others.
The stronger ki will often determine how a user gets stronger,
and usually also determines a lot of their approach to combat.
Dou ki concentrates a more aggressive type ki that gets stronger
through stronger emotions (usually through anger), but also
usually through battle itself. On the other hand, Sei ki is
usually a much more passive type ki, usually used by those that
are not aggressive and don't prefer to use their ki to fight
others. While Sei Ki users also train normally to get stronger,
their biggest focus is usually inward, where they focus more on
meditation and calmness rather than on strong emotions like dou
ki users. Both usually have different approaches to training and
combat, which also seems to come out in their personalities as
well. It isn't known if personalities are the result of the
person's dominant ki side or if the ki side is dominant because
of the person's personality. However, each ki user does have
their dominant ki side, with each user having to figure this out
for themselves and learn to balance their ki. Typically, balance
is not achieved by just equaling the two out, but instead, users
have to keep their natural ratio of ki balanced in order to keep
their power balanced. Both ki types are usually not fully
attainable and their natures pulled out into the ki itself
unless one does specific advanced training for one of them, and
users have to focus on their dominant side of ki. If a user uses
both or tries to use the non-dominant ki, they can do severe
harm to themselves, even if they manage to succeed in using the
ki properly. This balance is a bit different from other energy
users, and requires a user to focus inward in order to figure
out their own balance. This training is a necessary step to
training, as a user has to find out what their dominant ki is
before they can use ki at all.
Ki User Physical and Supernatural Amplification:
~This is the most known focus of ki users' abilities, and is the
focus of much of their training. Most ki users are trained from
the beginning of their ki training to use their ki to amplify
their physical and supernatural stats, where their ki acts as an
amplifier similar to those that use things like spirit
amplification or mana amplification. This training amplifies a
supernatural's abilities, both physically and through their
supernatural power. Usually, ki is generated in the body and
strengthens the body through focus of the body and mind of the
ki user. This has a number of effects on the body, such as an
increase in strength and speed, amplified defense and
durability, and increasing the power of their supernatural
abilities through using ki to amplify any supernatural energies
that are used. This amplification is the main focus besides ki
techniques, and requires immense training and physical control
to learn to focus ki. While not requiring as much focus as
things like god ki training or divine state training, ki still
requires focus and using both the mind and body to harness ki
and use it as an amplifier. Overall, this ki amplification is
useful, but still has the same weaknesses as other energy users
in that they can only use this amplification as long as they
have ki. Once they run out, they will lose this amplification,
and be forced down to their normal stats.
Ki Aura:
~This refers to the ki that is emitted from a person, in which
their ki forms an aura when focused around the user. This aura
reacts based on the ki of the person, and how they use it. For
example, if a user powers up, their ki emitted into their aura
grows stronger, and their aura grows larger. Depending on the
focus of the user, the aura may show when a ki user is charging
up attacks, or a user's aura may flare up while they are in a
powerful state. Typically, this aura has a few functions. First,
the aura is focused into special aura based techniques, with
some having special techniques using the ki in their aura, or
some can even use this ki to charge their power using special ki
charging techniques, which is often the most used use for ki
aura. Usually, aura also acts like a passive defense, as when
concentrated, it can help protect a user from attacks and dampen
damage done. While not as effective as some other types of
energy defense, this does help in battles as users of ki will
typically emit ki even when using special trainings like god ki
that focus on containing ki in the body. To a degree, ki usually
reflects the person, and can come in many shapes and forms.
Depending on the person, ki color can also be unique, with some
types of ki having unique effects. Typically, ki aura is just a
reflection of certain actions ki users take, such as flaring up
when powering up, or concentrating itself if a user is focusing
a ki attack. Unless one has special ki aura techniques, this
doesn't really do damage, and more is just a way to help focus
ki for users, and help them more easily charge their ki.
Physical Strain Ki Radiation:
~This technique is a skill developed by ki users to replicate a
similar technique used by mana users. This power lets a ki user
relieve some of the stress of the energy has on their bodies out
through expanding their expulsion of ki into their aura,
allowing them to relieve the body of the burdens on their
bodies. Typically, this is most useful when one is trying to
boost their durability, as this can help relieve them a little
during fights. This can reduce the tension of using their ki,
and can help with stamina management. This allows the body to
keep itself from straining itself too much if used properly, and
can be used to help when the body is under extreme pressure.
Users can also use it when in battle, such as trying to hold
back a strong attack, as they can use this to allow them to use
their power more easily. Unlike with mana users, this is a
conscious ability, which a user has to expend ki to expand one's
ki outward too allow the body to relieve it's tension from the
energy use. Typically, this uses ki, which means that users have
to be careful when using this. Unlike mana radiating from the
body, ki users actually expend ki in order to use this, making
it useful, but having a downside in that it uses ki. Without ki
to expend, this technique is not able to be used, similar to
it's mana counterpart. This also only helps to a certain level,
and usually cannot help people overcome attacks at a certain
level, as the relief and power one can call forth from doing
this is dependent on their ki levels and how much ki they
expend. Some ki users have even expended all their ki doing this
to stop stronger attacks, which can leave them exhausted and out
of ki. Caution should be used before this is attempted.
Ki Defense and Durability Amplification:
~This is another great use of ki manipulation, in which those
who use it are able to passively increase their defense and
durability using ki. This not only falls under the physical
amplification, but the effects of the defense and durability
increase also have other effects as well. Ki defense is somewhat
similar to aura defense, but overall works somewhat differently.
Unlike aura defense which protects someone completely, ki
defense focuses on strengthening the body rather than putting a
barrier like aura defense. Ki defense strengthens the entire
body, making it harder to damage, and usually, protects it from
weaker opponents. Many times, weaker opponents will do little
damage to an opponent with ki defense, as the ki defense will
strengthen their body considerably. When used, ki defense will
lessen damage done, and works similarly to other things like
dragon skin that make the skin tougher, except that ki defense
makes the entire body tougher. As a result, the body takes less
damage, and is harder to pierce as a result of this passive
defense. This also is less costly on energy to use than aura
defense, since the ki in the body is used to strengthen the body
rather than using energy outside the body. This may not be as
protective as aura defense though, and stronger opponents can
break through this defense if they put enough power into the
attack, as they only have to overpower the ki defense to hurt
someone. Unlike aura defense, this is not a complete defense,
and while it may not cost as much energy, it doesn't provide as
much protection. This can also still only be used while the user
has ki, as once they run out, they will lose this defense and
return to their normal physical stats.
Ki Hardening:
~This is a pure defensive technique where the user condenses
their ki in and around their body in a temporary defensive
pattern similar to aura lock. Some ki users have different means
of using this, but usually, this is designed to defend against
stronger techniques and attacks that normal defense can't
handle. Usually, this concentrates towards the front, in which
the user can bring up their arms in front of them to generate
their ki in a defensive pattern. Some are even skilled enough to
focus it into their hand to help catch attacks. This depends on
the ki user, and depending on the user, usually determines how
this technique is used. This is a very useful technique for
blocking attacks temporarily, but takes more energy to use and
hold in place, meaning it's only useful when absolutely needed
due to the stamina and energy cost of the technique. This
technique isn't really too much different from the aura lock
technique, including the fact that most ki users have to stay
still while focusing this technique, as this focus to use this
technique. Advanced users of this can move while using this, but
usually not too much as they still have to focus on their ki to
use this. Most of the time, advanced users will use this to slap
away projectile attacks or catch attacks, or use the ki defense
to not be blown away by strong energy attacks. This technique is
strong, but the ki hardening is only as strong as the ki allows
it to be, and some stronger energy attacks might not be able to
be blocked as effectively, as stronger ki attacks will break
this defense. And of course, aura breaker abilities can
instantly break this defense.
Ki Barrier Defense:
~In a manner similar to other energy user's special defense
spirit skills that use energy to protect parts of the body and a
manner similar to aura defense that protects the whole body, ki
users have a special barrier technique to protect them in
dangerous situations. Some have special barrier techniques, such
as some can create special spherical barriers, but many just
create barriers around their bodies to protect themselves from
something. This is very useful in dangerous environments, as the
barrier can be used to protect from dangerous environments like
radioactive areas, or places with corrosive or corruptive
energies, as it protects the body from outside influences. As
mentioned, there are plenty of people with unique techniques to
use this, but overall, the two main uses of this involve
spherical barriers and barriers that cover the body completely.
Unlike defense spirit abilities like Haki or Pai Zhua, this is a
barrier that goes up around the entire body, and can protect the
entire body at once. The only downside to this is that it uses
more energy than other defense spirit abilities, but is far more
protective than other defense spirit techniques. These barriers
can be broken though with enough power, and techniques designed
to negate energy can actually break through these (like aura
breaker weapons/powers). Overall, this is a technique designed
for a quick defense that needs to protect the whole body, but is
not designed to be held for long periods of time due to how much
ki is used to maintain a barrier. Some can hold barriers up
longer than others, but overall, ki cost can be quite high if
overused. Users can also obviously only use this while they have
ki.
Ki Attack Focus:
~Through advanced ki training, some ki users can focus their ki
into a single point of attack, concentrating their ki more so
they can damage opponents with more focused attacks rather than
wasting power. Not only does this let them save ki by not
wasting ki on larger attacks, but also lets them break defenses
more easily where they are able to break things like aura
defense, dragon skin or other defense techniques much more
easily using this power. This is a highly advanced technique
only high level ki users are able to master, and requires not
just ki concentration, but martial arts knowledge and practice
as it is more of a combat style about focusing and condensing
attacks than simply attacking with wasted force. This skill is
very useful when mastered though, as it helps concentrate ki
into attacks, rather than just spreading the attack over a large
area where it won't do as much damage. Those who use this could
essentially punch through a boulder, leaving only a hole where
their fist punched through, showing their concentrated strength,
but also showing that they only damage what they attack
directly. But while this is effective, it does require the user
to be focused, and using their martial arts effectively in order
to use this properly. It also means that damage is condensed
into one area, meaning that the damage done may be more to the
singular point, but won't be as damaging to the overall thing or
person they're trying to damage. This does better damage, and
helps the ki user focus better on their attacks, but overall
does somewhat limit the attack when it's focused in one point.
Ki Flight and Ki Grip:
~Those who learn to use ki are able to use ki to do other things
than just using ki in battle for blasting people or for defense.
For ki users, they are able to fly by channeling ki to the
bottom of their feet and using it to lift themselves off, and
can fly extremely fast once they've trained the skill and can
handle the wind while flying. Ki users are able to use this art
to fly for long periods of time, and some can even learn to fly
faster than fighter jets if they become experienced enough and
can handle flying at higher speeds (usually through increasing
their ki defense to help them handle the force of their faster
flight). Another skill is using this to grip or walk up/on
something most wouldn't be able to, in which users learn to
cling to objects in different ways. Some ki users learn this by
using this to walk on water, or walk up trees similar to some
chakra training so that they can more easily learn to use the
basics of the ki grip. Of course, being able to fly makes this
useless after a while, but mostly this is used for training the
initial skill more than being useful. However, there is another
use for this, which is to tighten grip on things like weapons
and things they want to hold, where the item in the user's hand
cannot be knocked out of their hand while this ki grip is in
effect. This is the biggest use for the ki grip, once one has
learned to fly and rarely uses it. Most users can fly around as
long as they have ki, and can use this ki grip as long as they
have ki. Typically, these are just skills that are useful to
certain situations, or useful for getting around more easily, or
keeping grip on something more easily. While this is useful,
it's not really a damaging battle skill, since this can't be
used to "attack" opponents (though it is possible for ki users
to fight each other while flying, which is something that ki
users will use flight for at times during battle). And of
course, this can only be used as long as the user has ki.
Ki Blasts, Charged Ki Blasts and Ki Techniques:
~This is a basic ki user ability, where almost every ki user
learns to focus their ki into ki blasts, which can be fired at
opponents that explode on impact. This focuses their ki into
blasts which can be used different ways. Most users develop a
slew of ki techniques, and can be used many different ways
depending on the user and the training the user has in ki.
Normal ki blasts can be fired like bullets at opponents, thrown
like balls at opponents, or can be used to fire homing ki blasts
with concentration. There are different levels and types of ki
blasts, usually dependent on the user and how they choose to
focus their ki, such as some who fire simple explosive blasts,
or some that may be used in special ways, such as homing ki
blasts or beams to break defenses. This depends on the ki user
and how they use their ki, and even sometimes depends on their
race as some races may focus their ki blasts differently
depending on the race. Another technique with this is the
charged ki blast, where the user is able to charge their ki into
a larger blast to do more damage. There are a few types of
charged ki blasts depending on the ki type, just like normal ki
blasts. Most users usually rely on their advanced ki techniques,
since everyone develops their own techniques or learns from a
master of ki. Usually, basic ki blasts and charged ki blasts are
useful against weaker opponents who users don't want to waste
stronger attacks on. Most ki users focus on the advanced ki
techniques, but most are able to use basic blasts. Typically,
these blasts are not too strong, but are strong enough that they
can be effective to stagger opponents, or catch opponents off
guard if used properly.
Ki Transfer/Ki Revive:
~This technique is usually for allies, where ki users learn to
transfer their ki to others. While the absorption of other's ki
forcefully is forbidden arts territory, most users learn this as
a way to help their allies, in which they can transfer ki to
allies in order to power them up or restore their energy. Users
can do this with their own ki, even reviving someone from death
if they are healed and they are transferred energy before their
soul leaves for the afterlife (like some that might not be able
to heal certain wounds before the person dies). Typically, this
power is very useful when fighting in groups, as it allows
people to support each other. Often, ki users transfer special
ki energy to each other at times, such as a sage ki user
transferring some sage ki to allies in order to power them up
with it, or transferring ki into someone to grant them special
ki defense temporarily. The specific effects can vary depending
on the energy used, and how it is transferred. If the user is at
full power, receiving energy can make them stronger to a certain
point, while using energy on someone who has depleted their
energy will use the energy to restore some of their lost energy
and stamina. Advanced users of this are able to amp their allies
even if they are exhausted, and make them more powerful by using
their ki to amplify their abilities. This can even be used to
help someone recover a little faster from injuries, as long as
the injuries aren't too severe. However, the major danger of
this technique is that users can get overwhelmed at a certain
level, and overwhelming them could cause them to literally
explode if they accept too much ki, or cause damage to their
bodies beyond a certain level. Amping one's power beyond one's
limits has it's consequences, which is why people must be
careful when using this on allies and make sure not to give them
too much ki. However, overwhelming someone does sometimes work
on ki users who absorb ki through forbidden arts, but those who
absorb this ki can usually have to choose to absorb the ki, as
they can cut off the flow of energy if they don't want the
energy.
Kiai (Attack Wave):
~This is more of a physical ki wave which is fired by ki users
like a concussive wave, blasting a shockwave outward, usually
toward an opponent using their ki. This technique is invisible
to the naked eye, but can be sensed by anyone that can sense
energy, making it useful if an opponent cannot sense energy.
These are waves of pure physical force, which are created and
focused by ki to do damage to opponents who normally wouldn't be
as vulnerable to energy attacks. This is usable by most ki
users, as this is more of a physical attack focused through ki
rather than a ki technique, and is a basic technique that most
ki users learn when using things like simple ki blasts as this
is a pretty basic use of ki. This attack wave is useful for
attacking someone farther away without wasting ki to use a
stronger ki technique, and can be used in conjunction with
physical attacks as well if a user is skilled enough. And those
who can use physical strength to their advantage can actually
hit harder with this technique, as those who can use physical
force effectively can make this technique stronger with their
own strength, as well as training their ki to make this power
stronger. However, this is fired in a wave at opponents, and
while it does concussive damage, it can be blocked or dodged
like any other wave. Depending on the user, this could be
strong, but even if it is, opponents need only know how to
absorb the impact, usually with a shield or something to use for
cover to avoid the wave. Opponents can also sense this technique
if they can sense energy, despite it being invisible to the
naked eye.
Special Ki Types/Abilities:
Superior Chi:
~The user has a strong chi that is equivalent to the power of
many different forms of chi which comes in handy in situations
that test one's fortitude and grants abilities. The user's chi
is unable to be bound by anything and acts freely without
anything holding it back. It is also strengthened by the user's
training, emotions, sense of purpose, Enlightenment, etc.
Chi Lightning Manipulation:
~The user can create, shape and manipulate electricity/lightning
formed from one's chi energy. Due to being comprised chi power,
the electricity/lightning isn't only stronger than usual
lightning, but also may have the power to affect one's
life-force in various ways.
Chi Wind Manipulation:
~The user can create, shape and manipulate air formed from the
chi energy. Due to being comprised of chi power, these winds
aren't only stronger than usual winds, but also may have the
power to affect one's life-force in varying ways.
Wolf Chi Manipulation:
~V has the ability to create, shape, absorb and manipulate wolf
chi. Due to the animal chi spirit that she gained, V can use her
chi to control wolves, transform herself into a large arctic
wolf, mimic wolf traits and summon/create wolf spirits and/or
wolves with her chi. Because of its unique properties, V can do
many things that a normal chi user cannot do, such as possessing
near limitless chi, gaining unique power and/or abilities or
even acquire wolf-like traits as stated above.
Ki Technique: Lightning Flash:
~The user can create a flash of lightning to blind their
enemies. By generating high temperatures to heat up the air
molecules to create visible light known as photons and with the
help of nitrogen gas, it stimulates luminescence to give
lightning its color characteristics.
Ki Technique: Thunder Shock Surprise:
~The user shoots a lightning blast towards the target using both
hands and traps the opponent within an electric field. According
to some people, this technique turns all the energy in the
user's body into 20,000 volts of electricity. The attack is
extremely lethal and dangerous, and as such, some people like V
prefers not to use it unless absolutely necessary. Normally, the
opponent cannot escape; however, it is still possible to escape
such as when someone was able to break free by going into a
berserker type form.
Ki Technique: Chi Cloning:
~The user can create clones of themselves, others and/or objects
using chi.
V can create hundreds of clones of herself at will, either
summoning them from her body, or from the sky. She can summon
clones to block attacks or as decoys.
Ki Technique: Chi Afterimage Creation:
~The user can create images of themselves by various means,
including moving at incredible speeds around ranges of (sub and
supersonic velocity) or through illusion.
Ki Technique: Chi Teleportation:
~The user has the power of teleportation via their chi. Due to
being based on chi, users aren’t affected by Anti-Psychic
Presence.
Ki Technique: Super Electric Strike:
~After the user charges green energy in both of their hands, the
user throws out their hands, launching two arcing electrical Ki
Blasts at the opponent to inflict massive damage. However, the
attack has a "blind spot" immediately in front of the user
because the energy wave appears a short distance in front of
them rather than being emitted directly from their body, meaning
an opponent can avoid the attack completely if they close to
point-blank range while the attack is being charged.
Ki Technique: Lightning Disc:
~The user makes a large ring like disc made of electric ki and
launch it at the opponent. The attack can run someone over or
explode on impact though V can also control the size to trap her
opponents if she wants to.
Hellzone Grenade:
~V charges up and fires several energy spheres randomly in the
opponent's direction, disregarding accuracy and with no intent
on actually hitting the enemy. With efficient ki control, the
multiple energy spheres are suspended in the air, completely
surrounding them. Finally, V commands the energy spheres, which
change from a white to green color, to rapidly spin around the
opponent and inevitably rain down on them with a vicious
onslaught from every direction, filling the sky with a blinding
light and inflicting a massive amount of damage.
Advanced Ki Techniques:
Advanced Ki Technique: Air Barrier:
~V is able to use her wind ki to create a powerful barrier
around herself by punching her fists together. The shield is
able to handle most normal enemies and a lot of higher level
energies as long as V keep the defense powered. Though strong,
it takes a lot of energy so V has to be cautious to not overuse
it or else it will drain her power quickly. The shield can also
be damage by those with immense strength so V also has to be
wary of that.
Advanced Ki Technique: Lightning Snap:
~V has the ability to snap her fingers and instantly fire a bolt
of lightning with deadly force and accuracy. The technique is
similar to dragon snap in some ways, except that this technique
is focused on physical force. V can use other lightning types
for this ability as well.
Advanced Ki Technique: Claw and Thunder:
~A physical wolf ki attack. V makes a overhand striking attack
which resembles a wolf claw slash attack. Her ki constructs into
a wolf claws to slash and stagger opponents. V can also do this
with her lightning and wind abilities for more damage. She can
also gather a small condensed energy to unleash a lightning
storm over a small area, causing a small yet effective shockwave
that sends people around her staggering or flying back.
Advanced Ki Technique: Ragna:
~V is able to use her animal ki to construct a werewolf like
being which she named "Ragna" to help aid in battle. This
ability fights alongside V, slashing while V use her weapons
along with using storm based abilities as well for extra damage.
This ki construct can even act on it's own such as keeping an
eye out for incoming attacks and even doing small interactions
with V.

Advanced Ki Technique: Wolf Hurricane:
~V begins this technique by jumping above the opponent, she then
falls on the opponent with her foot. Next, she delivers one
punch at the opponent, jumps backwards, then springs forward
with another kick. Finally, the technique is ended with one
major claw across the opponent's body, causing major damage.
Ultimate Ki Technique: Wolf Fang Fist:
~An ultimate technique. The Wolf Fang Fist is a unique attack in
that no energy is directly expelled from the user, rather ki
energy empowers the strikes with incredible force, usually
through the focus of a totem animal (the wolf). The technique is
shown as a flurry of punches and kicks that seem much more
effective and powerful than V's standard physical strikes, often
times seen trailed by a turquoise aura or the arctic wolf
itself. She can also do this with her wind or lightning powers
for more damage.
Combat Skills:
Enhanced Unarmed Combat:
~Users, either innately or through training, possess mastery in
unarmed combat/hand-to-hand combat greater than peak members of
their species. Against other humans, they are extremely skilled,
being able to outclass most opponents without the use of
weapons, being able to take on multiple aggressors at once.
Users usually possess knowledge that improves their overall
fighting skills, specifically through training. They usually
have vast knowledge on targeting vulnerable areas on another's
body and how to execute it while in battle. In terms of defense,
experts can usually counter most attacks with the bare hands,
either by deflecting or parrying.
Users also have an intuitive mastery of the associated unarmed
combat skills, techniques, body language and choice of words
subtly sending all the signals to others, granting them major
leverage in any unarmed combat situation.
This is the ultimate unarmed combat mechanism, making it
virtually impossible to defeat the user, since the user will
automatically fight with perfect skill, technique and timing.
The users full and complete mastery in unarmed combat and
anything related to unarmed combat makes them the ultimate
unarmed combatant.
Wolf School Martial Arts:
~Originally developed as a style for bandits, this style
utilizes speed and was created by those trying to create a style
that was replicating the characteristics of a wolf attacking
it's prey. This style is a variation of a Kenpo style, in which
the user learns many variations of striking moves that replicate
certain wolf attacks like a claw slash or a wolf bite, modified
into their punches and kicks. This style is often seen as
incorporating the spirit of the wolf into the style, which some
uses have done well enough that there also exists a new, more
skilled style of this style called the Neo Wolf Fang Fist which
some advanced users have learned (which is mostly just a faster
and stronger Wolf Fang Fist). This technique utilizes the air
waves around an opponent, usually for techniques like the Wolf
Claw, which uses ki to generate physical force that creates a
claw slash-like wave. This style is focused on speed more than
defense or offense, and is quite powerful among advanced users
who have learned to focus their ki amplification more
effectively. This style can be a dangerous style when used by
those who learn this style, and like the Crane style, can be
used to cause fatal damage to opponents if one wants to push
this style to a deadly effect. However, this style doesn't opt
for that, usually only using the wolf fang fist to strike points
to disable an opponent rather than slashing them like some
advanced users will do. Overall, those with this style usually
have to learn precise control if they don't want to kill their
targets, as this style can be deadly if not controlled properly.
After the original user incorporated elements of the Turtle
style into this style, it became far more balanced between
offense and defense, and now opts for a balance somewhere
between the Turtle Style and Crane Style. But as such, both
styles have defeated the Wolf Fang Fist style in the past,
though the Wolf Fang Fist style has also defeated those with the
Turtle and Crane style as well, usually depending on the skill
of the user.
Northern Wolf Kung Fu:
~Wolf style Kung Fu is a sub-style of Imperial Panther Kung Fu.
Northern Wolf is a deadly and fearsome fighting style from the
streets of Shanghai that specializes in group fighting tactics,
low realm combat, and ground-fighting.
Wolf is a vicious art with high level striking, gripping,
ripping, and tearing techniques that can kill with the hand.
Northern Wolf Kung Fu fights from low lunge positions that moves
throughout multiple opponents, both in a straight line and in
circles. This low realm running uses fast leg work and leaping,
with one hand momentarily on the ground at times. From this
dynamic low realm maneuvering system Wolf Kung Fu masters
scissor style throws, kicks, reaps, and sweeps primarily either
for breaking the leg and/or bringing opponents to the ground for
Wolf's ground-fighting, strikes, and Chin Na attacks.
Canton Dog Kung Fu:
~Dog Kung Fu is a rare martial art with an evil reputation. Eye
gouging, groin attacks, finger, breaking, throat attacks, leg
breaks, and even tearing off lips and ears are signature wounds
from one quick Dog attack. Dog Kung Fu is taught as a sub-style
of Imperial Leopard Kung Fu, and fights from leaping, standing,
low realm, and ground fighting positions.
Dog Kung Fu fights with toughened strikes & kicks, bring-downs,
weapons, and painful Chin Na.​ This style, like all the
animals arts, is savage and brutal for real combat. These aren't
desperate self defense moves, but toughened and powerful
attacks. Students at Imperial Combat Arts begin Dog Fighting
tactics in their third rank as a brutal and effective means to
negate common grappling and boxing styles. True mastery however
comes after years of hand and leg toughening and with high level
Chin Na ability.
Mixed Martial Arts Mastery:
~Users through training or intuition, is a master of combining
and utilizing multiple forms of martial arts at once, allowing
them to effectively create a new fighting style unique to them
and flawlessly move from one form of martial arts to the other,
improvise new attacks and more. These users are forces to be
reckoned with in battle due to their exceptional martial arts
skills and being very difficult to predict and counter.
This is the ultimate mixed martial arts mechanism, since the
user will automatically fight with perfect skill, technique and
timing. The users full and complete mastery in mixed martial
arts and anything related to mixed martial arts makes the user
the ultimate mixed martial artist.
Systema Mastery:
~The user, either innately or through training, is a master of
systema, a lifestyle of Russian martial arts that advocates a
straight-edge and instructs fighters to discard ego, fear, and
tension in the heat of combat. Training includes, but is not
limited to, hand-to-hand combat, grappling, knife fighting, and
fire-arms training.
Kyushojitsu Mastery:
~The user, either innately or through training, is a master of
kyushojitsu, a Japanese martial art centered around targeting
pressure points to manipulate the energy flow and neurological
processes in a way that it affects the whole body. The effects
can be pain, loss of equilibrium, loss of power, up to
unconsciousness. However, in the same way that knowledge can be
used to relieve different kinds of discomfort.
Animalistic Combat:
~Users can combine using animal imitation with physical
fighting, they can fight with the brutality of a bear, the speed
of a cheetah, the ferocity of a tiger, the agility of a leopard,
the dexterity of a monkey, the flexibility of a snake, the
tenacity of a lion, the strength of a gorilla, etc.
Ansatsuken Mastery:
~The user, either innately or through training, is a master of
ansatsuken, any martial arts style or fighting technique that
has been developed with the purpose of killing an opponent.
Berserker Combat:
~The user can infuse berserker rage with physical combat,
allowing them to fight with the ferocity of a beast while taking
and inflicting damage that they couldn't or wouldn't in their
normal state.
Great Sword Proficiency:
~Users, either innately or through training, are masters of the
usage of great swords, allowing them to wield large swords such
as the zweihänder, zanbatō, and ōdachi.
Users can take on multiple opponents, breaking through numerous
defenses with immense power. Furthermore, with their strength in
wielding such large, heavy blades, they can wield great swords
with incredible strength, speed, grace, and even subtlety. With
the user’s superior knowledge of great swords, they yield a deep
understanding on them inside out. They know when to either use
their full strength in every strike potential or hold back for a
more strategic approach.
If great swords are Medieval European swords, users would also
be familiar with or highly proficient in Medieval swordsmanship
styles. While there is no distinct fighting style, the central
aspect of fighting with great swords focuses on a wide, a level
stance, strength, and breaking through defenses. Advanced users
can even wield a great sword with only one hand while it usually
requires two. Furthermore, can even perform superhuman feats,
like slashing with so much force that it creates sharp wind and
shockwaves, and wield more esoteric and supernatural variants of
great swords, like cursed, divine, or magical versions that have
been altered, or even channel their own supernatural abilities
through their sword.
Broadsword Proficiency:
~The user, either innately or through training, is a master of
wielding a Broadsword, a sword type of the early modern era
characterized by a basket-shaped guard that protects the hand.
Knife Proficiency:
~The user, either innately or through training, is a master of
wielding knives, tools or weapons with cutting edges or blades,
often attached to handles or hilts. They are able to wield small
blades with great proficiency and cunning as well as stealth;
concealing multiple knives on their person flawlessly, to be
retrieved at will in combat.
Electrokinetic Combat:
~Users are able to infuse electricity into combat, whether it be
discharging electricity, summoning lightning bolts, or other
electricity-based attacks through supernatural abilities (i.e.
Electricity Manipulation, Electricity Magic),
machines/technological body parts with the capability of
releasing them, or simply utilizing a fighting style that
focuses on delivering electricity-like attacks.
At the ultimate level, users are able to control electric fields
allowing them to manipulate or rip apart the force that holds
atoms together within objects or flow through the nervous
systems of living creatures. At this stage, electricity
manipulation becomes extremely dangerous and effective,
essentially giving the user the ability to control living
creatures and objects through the precise manipulation of
electricity and electrical fields within them.
Aerokinetic Combat:
~The user is able to utilize air manipulation with their
physical combat, granting both high maneuverability and
elemental attacks.
Mid-Air Combat:
~Users is able to combine/incorporate aerobatics, leaping and/or
aerial movement of any kind into physical combat.
Chi Combat:
~The user can combine their chi control with physical combat
skill, allowing them to wield innate physical energy for
offensive and/or defensive purposes while fighting. It usually
comes about through intense martial arts training.
Fighting Instincts:
~User possesses an innate aptitude for fighting in any combat by
overcoming limitations and adapt techniques or methods to ensure
victory. Users are the "ultimate fighting machine". The user is
able to automatically identify the best personal course of
action during any fight without consciously thinking out a plan.
They adapt perfectly to all factors, achieving maximum
efficiency in an offense, defense, evasion, and countering,
ensuring optimal success no matter the chances. This enables a
user to resist fear and pain, maximize and surpass physical
boundaries, utilize all of their skills in the most efficient
manner, and continuously fight while unconscious.
They have instincts to fight by any means and in the most
effective ways possible, use anything at hand to do so and, have
no mental/emotional issues or moral dilemmas either before,
during or after the deed. This is the ultimate fighting
mechanism, since the user will automatically fight with perfect
skill, technique and timing. The users full and complete mastery
in fighting and anything related to fighting makes them as the
ultimate fighter.
Enhanced Stealth:
~The user possesses incredibly extensive knowledge and skill in
many types and ways of stealth tactics, enabling them to easily
slip in and out of areas undetected. Their abilities in all
manners of stealth are so refined they appear as mere illusions
to those who have been lucky to spot the user. The users of this
ability are highly skilled at stealth and can move throughout
even the most guarded of areas and act in true discretion.
This is the ultimate stealth mechanism, making it virtually
impossible to detect or notice the user down, since the user
will automatically sneak with perfect skill, technique and
timing. The users full and complete mastery in stealth and
anything related to stealth makes the user the ultimate sneak.
Enhanced Survival:
~Users have an intuitive mastery of all the associated survival
skills and techniques granting them major leverage in any
survival situation and allowing the user to easily survive any
condition. Users can perfectly and without a single flaw or
mistake survive any and every type of environment there is, was
and will ever be whenever they want with zero effort by
themselves.
This also includes clusters of natural disasters, patterns of
apocalyptic planetary crisis, or "Earth Changes", anthropogenic
disasters, general collapse of society, financial disruption or
economic collapse, global pandemic, or widespread chaos or some
other unexplained apocalyptic event.
Ambush Mastery:
~The user, either innately or through training, is a master of
conducting ambushes, long-established military tactics in which
combatants take advantage of concealment or the element of
surprise to attack unsuspecting enemy combatants from concealed
positions, such as among dense underbrush or behind hilltops.
They use any means necessary to do so, from luring enemies into
traps to striking from a concealed position.
This is the ultimate ambushing mechanism, since the user will
automatically ambush with perfect skill, technique and timing.
The users full and complete mastery in ambushing and anything
related to ambushing makes the user the ultimate ambusher.
Warrior:
~The character is a warrior: a person brave and experienced
fighter specializing in combat, battles, and warfare. These
kinds of people keen with many weapons and combat strategies as
much as they are known for other expertise for more than just
combat such as hunting, riding and leadership. Warriors come in
a veritable form from many cultures all having many things in
common being they are all potential fighters, mundane,
supernatural or otherwise. There goals for being Warriors can be
either personal or not, being bound to the path they choose they
can become great or terrible warriors.
Apocalypse Survivalist:
~The user possesses advanced survival skills necessary for
thriving in apocalyptic scenarios, whether on a global or
localized scale. Whether dealing with nuclear crisis or warfare,
viral pandemics, quarantines, zombie outbreaks, and devastating
military attacks, they can remain calm and focused under
pressure.
Their ability to gather resources, find supplies, and create
tools or weapons from their surroundings is unmatched. The user
excels at improvising and constructing machines or weapons to
meet the needs of survival, making them a formidable presence in
any crisis situation.
In particular, they specialize in combating and neutralizing
threats such as zombies, using their combat proficiency and
survival strategies to outlast and eliminate these dangers.
Flying Ki Step:
~These are the combat styles of movement used with most of the
ki combat styles. Every good combat style requires a user to
have a way of moving around efficiently at it's base, so these
two techniques are often used. The first is the flying ki step,
sometimes called the Hienkyaku (Flying Swallow), uses ki to push
the body's movement, even while in midair. While most combat
skills would have limited use in the air, this combat style
allows a user to change their movement direction and speed with
their ki steps even if they are not on solid ground. This step
is usually very necessary for ki users, as it is usually among
one of the training they must use before they learn to fly,
which requires focusing ki to the feet. This style requires
using ki at the feet, but also pushing ki to other parts of the
body when required, such as focusing ki to the hand in order to
use it to grab an attack so a user can jump over it, using the
ki around the hand and arm to focus the movement. This style is
a very basic movement style that users can use to boost
themselves in battle, and advanced users learn to combine this
with the flight ki skill to allow them more mobility in airborne
combat, which is very useful for this skill since many ki users
will often fly during combat. Of course, this style's main
weakness is that the user has to be careful how much power they
put into this, as some less experienced users of this have
broken their legs trying to use too much ki in this particular
movement style. If not properly regulated, users can damage
their bodies, which is why this often requires heavy training
before using it effectively.
Passive Abilities:
Enhanced Instincts:
~The user has stronger instincts than normal, not only of
predatory or prey but also battle, sexual, killing, parental,
and social instincts. They are able to process the world in the
most advanced/efficient manner possible to find the most
efficient and practical solutions to any/all kinds of problems
that the user faces, using both logical and illogical sense and
strategies. They tend to abandon logic and play with pure
instinct, generally making illogical but successful moves and
decisions.
Glowing Eyes:
~The user possesses eyes that glow which allows them to generate
light, sometimes allowing them to see in the dark clearly. Some
users' eyes vary in color while glowing. Users may or may not be
able to control the color of the glow.
In some cases, the eyes may glow involuntarily when the user
calls on another power. This can cause Glowing Eyes to act a
sort of limitation, tipping others off that they are or are
doing something supernatural. Glowing eyes also happen if the
user is under a mind control/possession/hypnosis state etc.
Unlike Light Vision, the user can't manifest their eye lights as
beams or blasts. Some users have eyes that glow when their
powers are active. User’s glowing eyes may have various colors,
including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and etc.
Claw Retraction:
~The user can project/retract razor-sharp claws/talons of
energy, bone, metal, keratin, etc., from their
fingertips/hands/wrists/fists/feet for various (mostly
offensive) purposes.
Fang Retraction:
~The user has abnormally sharp fangs and can deliver a deadly
bite with them. The fangs are even retractable.
Enhanced Bite:
~Users have an inhumanly strong bite, either because of sharp
fangs/teeth, augmented jaw-muscle structure, etc.
Quadrupedalism:
~User can move, act and run on all four limbs in a quadrupedal
manner, enabling them to move efficiently while on all fours.
Quadrupedalism is a form of terrestrial locomotion in animals
using four limbs or legs. An animal or machine that usually
moves in a quadrupedal manner is known as a quadruped, meaning
"four feet" (from the Latin quattuor for "four" and pes for
"foot"). The majority of quadrupeds are vertebrate animals,
including mammals such as cattle, dogs and cats, and reptiles
such as lizards.
Enhanced Roar:
~The user is able to shout so loud that they can blow away or
break objects with their ferocious vocal cords which can cause
vibrations. They may also be able to emit a roar strong enough
to damage hearing, cause fear, or paralyzation. The force caused
by the roar may even cancel out opposing attacks. It can also be
used to alert someone of the user's location.
Adaptive Learning:
~User can gather and instantly understand any knowledge/form of
knowledge and adapt the knowledge, skills, powers, talents, etc,
to suit their needs. Including learning a new talent/skill and
adapting a way to use it despite being disabled/handicapped or a
talent that allows one to read quickly could be changed to allow
one to read quickly for several different books and subjects at
the same time, and more.
Rather than simply being limited to powers, user can apply this
to any/all forms of knowledge/learning, including
skills/talents, powers, magic, intuition, language, writing,
reading, body control, etc. Users of this can learn and adapt
any knowledge for their own needs and personal
condition/physiology/status.
Adaptive Combat:
~Users possess adaptive combat powers that can quickly adapt any
fight against their opponent, allowing them to dynamically learn
from experience or develop multiple counters to an opponent's
powers or combat styles.
Ki Passive Abilities:
Ki Defense/Attack Spirit:
~Ki users learn among the very first things how to use their ki
for defense and attack, which leads to them learning how to use
a ki defense similar to other techniques like haki and Pai Zhua
attack spirits. Ki users with this ability are already defensive
once they learn how to use ki defense, but they are also able to
naturally attack people in different forms, such as those that
take elemental or intangible forms. Thanks to this, users of ki
learn to do this much more naturally than other energy users,
making them able to attack users. This means that certain form
shifting abilities to avoid damage aren't really of much use
against ki users unless the ki user is out of ki. As long as the
ki user has ki, this skill is a passive skill that all ki users
learn upon learning ki defense and can use it without having to
concentrate like most energy users. The only downside to this is
that this can only be used against those that have weaker energy
than the user, as stronger energy cannot be as easily broken.
The ki hardening and ki defensive techniques also don't allow
much change in the defensive nature since the techniques for ki
defense and hardening are specific techniques. However, this is
still useful against opponents who use things like elemental
forms, since ki is used for amplification of one's abilities at
all times.
Emotion Ki Strengthening:
~Depending on emotions, ki can be temporarily strengthened by
strong emotions of the ki user. There are two main emotions that
are normally used to do this which are reflected in the two
sides of ki, which are anger and calmness. While other emotions
can be used to power up ki, nothing matches the level that
calmness and anger have on ki, in which both can have unique
effects on ki and boost a ki user's abilities considerably based
on their emotions. Anger can temporarily increase power
immensely, intensifying speed and strength until the anger
subsides, which usually doesn't last too long, as the standard
anger reaction is around 8 seconds (meaning usually not more
than one or two combat rounds). Anger is best used as a rage, in
which users who use their anger or hatred to boost their power.
One doesn't have to be evil to use anger, as it is just a
reaction of ki to the emotion, since one side of ki responds
heavily to anger. Calmness is the other end of the spectrum
though, where the user doesn't gain power but control when they
have managed to calm their being. When calm and concentrated,
less ki is used, and defense and offense take less power, making
them more effective. Typically, calmness and peace are used to
help the body focus rather than using anger for an explosion of
power. For calmness, it is used to focus the body's ki and make
overall ki use and amplification more effective. Depending on
how emotions are used though, there are other emotions that can
provide specific amps, depending on the emotion and how it
interacts with ki. This can also relate to certain other special
kinds of ki, such as advanced ki training like god ki or demon
ki. This is more of a passive amplification, and only happens
when certain emotional conditions are present and strong enough
to affect a user's ki. This amplification is usually pretty
basic, unless used for advanced ki types, in which advanced ki
types often have unique effects when combined with this. Some
races, like Saiyans, even gain special boosts from this ability,
or may even gain new abilities from this.
Pure Energy Power Resistance:
~Every ki user, by training their ki, often gain resistances to
pure energy, usually supernatural energies that would be used
against them. Because of the use of energy that they use in
their ki hardening and defense, users of ki gain a passive
resistance to other supernatural pure energies. As such, this
grants them resistance to a lot of energy based attacks, and
some slight resistance to things like elemental effects.
Typically, users of ki are able to protect themselves and reduce
damage done to them to a degree thanks to their training. For
example, many ki users can move through many forms of fire
without suffering too many burns like most people, and they can
usually resist energy attacks. This comes with their training,
and is a passive ability as long as they have ki amplification
active. Usually, when it comes to ki, this protects against any
kind of energy as long as it is weaker than the ki one puts out.
Once someone encounters stronger energy, no matter the energy,
the energy can usually break one's ki and do normal damage.
However, this passive resistance to energy is very useful, and
allows users to use this resistance to their advantage if the
energy is below a certain level. However, this only works as
long as one has ki, and doesn't protect against aura breaker
techniques and weapons, and some energy based powers like magic
and elementals can break through this passive resistance much
more easily than energies like ki, aura, or even spirit energy.
This power does require ki, and once the user runs out, this
resistance stops. Users can build this resistance through
training, and improving their ability to generate ki, but
ultimately, this only grants resistance to energy at or below
the user's level of energy, as higher energies will break this
resistance.
Ki Enhanced Injury Recovery:
~While ki users don't have regeneration, they do recover much
more quickly than most normal people would. By controlling their
ki, a ki user's injuries heal up extremely fast, with small cuts
and bruises healing within an hour. Since ki is more about
defense, this doesn't grant regeneration, but it does speed up
the body's natural recovery, meaning it's not useful for things
like regrowing limbs or healing injuries someone wouldn't
normally be able to heal. This enhanced recovery cannot heal
fatal injuries quickly, with most ki users still not being able
to heal deadly injuries. This is a passive skill, which does
require the body to have life force to maintain it. While it may
sound intimidating that it uses life force, it uses a minimal
amount, and is what the body normally uses life force for, which
is to fix damage it can fix. If the user runs out of life force,
then this healing will stop, though running out of life force
usually means near death or death anyway, and usually only
reaches that point when one has fatal wounds. However, those
that master ki can use this to even slow their aging, since the
recovery can help heal the effects of aging. While no one can
age backwards with this power, those that use it can prevent
themselves from aging quickly if they want to. This ability can
however, be slightly interrupted by aura breaker weapons, as
aura breaker weapons can interrupt ki use and ki defense, and
advanced ki types may require conscious effort to use if one
wants to use them to heal more quickly, which some advanced
users can do (AKA something like genki can heal some ki users of
genki).
Immune to Power Negation/Stilled Silver (Select ki types only):
~Human ki users who don't have supernatural abilities are not
affected by power negation when using ki abilities. This is
because ki is a natural human ability that even normal beings
can use, since ki is useable by almost all beings, including
humans. Humans who use this are able to use this without having
to worry about power negation, since this is not a supernatural
ability when used by normal humans, and simply is something that
allows humans to fight stronger beings. However, this only
applies to normal humans, as any supernatural or god level
opponent still has to worry about power negation since advanced
uses of ki like god ki and sage ki can be interrupted by power
negation, as can most of the advanced ki abilities. For the most
part, humans with ki abilities (that aren't supernatural in
nature) are immune to power negation, which also means they tend
to be immune to metals that negate power like stilled silver.
Though this doesn't mean that human ki users are not immune to
aura breaker weapons and powers, as these still affect a human
ki user like any ki user. This only applies to basic ki types,
as advanced ki types are considered supernatural in nature since
they are much stronger abilities that use supernatural power to
use different ki types.
Since V is human, this passive ability applies to her.
Ki Training and Enhancement:
~Like most energy users, ki users have to train their ki, which
is the only way to enhance their ki. Ki users have to train
their bodies to utilize more ki, and to use ki more effectively.
This requires ki users to train with their ki as much as they
train their bodies, as well as training their mind which
controls their ki. Through a combination of ki, mind and body
training, the user is able to grow their abilities to use ki.
Depending on the ki the person has, their ki can be stronger or
weak, depending on the person and their previous training and
abilities. Though having weak ki is not something that makes
someone weak, nor does having strong ki automatically make
someone strong. The only thing weak or strong ki determines is
how much of a passive amp the ki user gets in their abilities
through training, with stronger ki users getting a smaller
growth to their abilities through training. There is advantages
and disadvantages to both. The main one being that weaker ki
users grow in power more quickly as they train, but don't have
as much of an amp to their abilities to start with, while
stronger ki users gain more of an amp, but don't gain a lot of
power when they train once they reach a certain level. Both have
their advantages and disadvantages, and one is not necessarily
stronger or weaker than the other. Training one's ki is the only
real way to increase their ability to use ki and to decrease
cost of the ki they need for attacks and amps. Those with
natural ki affinities can grow more quickly, but overall, the
amount of ki one has to start with usually determines whether
they grow more quickly or require heavier training to grow. For
example, Saiyans usually are born with high power and ki, so
their growth is usually slower than some beings, and they
usually have to train harder at higher levels to gain any new
power, while humans at a lower level may be weak, but will grow
far more quickly.
Ki Inner Focus and Limit Sense:
~Through heavy training, ki users develop an inner sense of
their own power. Because this requires the mind as much as the
body, ki users usually have to concentrate inward to bring their
ki to the surface. As such, most ki users get a sense of their
own ki, often being able to sense things like when they're
getting close to unlocking new abilities through ki, or if
they're needing to put themselves in a life or death situation
to push them beyond their limits. Some more advanced users can
sense when new powers are trying to awaken, and some advanced
users can more easily draw these powers to the surface under the
right conditions. Because ki users often focus on drawing their
ki to the surface, this makes drawing out their hidden ki
abilities a bit easier depending on the person and their
abilities. However, this isn't always as it as it might sound,
as some ki abilities may require pushing past one's limits in a
life or death situation, or may require specific situations or
opponents to face before they can call that power forth. The
main use of this though, is that many ki users use this to
figure out when they hit a limit on their ki abilities and then
try to find ways to push past that limit so they can start
getting stronger again. In a sense, this allows ki users to grow
beyond many other energy users, but at the same time, requires
harsher training on the body at higher levels. Some users gain
this more effectively through things like the Kami style of ki
combat which focuses heavily on meditation, and the god ki style
which focus on internalizing ki. However, some more dangerous ki
users like the Path of Asura users may have their own ways of
forcing their ki abilities to the surface through their own
powerful pull of their ki, though usually at cost of danger of
destroying their bodies in the process. Each ki user has their
own methods of doing this, as some have other unknown methods as
well. For example, Namekians get stronger through meditation
rather than training, as they are more mind focused, or Saiyans
may require battling opponents stronger than them to awaken
certain abilities. Usually for most beings though, a simple
focus inward is usually what they use.
Ki Power Level Control and Power Suppression:
~Those that control ki are able to control their power level,
suppressing or even containing their ki. This lets a ki user
control how much power they put out, mostly so they can hold
back from overusing their ki on weaker opponents. This makes it
so they don't have to concentrate on holding back and helps them
hide their true power levels if they need to. This ability is
designed mostly for training, as ki users often use this to
weaken themselves in training so they can gain better training
from weakening themselves slightly, such as using power
restraints, and some races even using transformations to keep
themselves in a weaker state. However, this also has another use
in that those with this can learn to suppress their power level,
and hide their presence from people should they choose to. This
makes it so that those with sixth senses or other senses that
sense presences cannot sense a ki user when they are completely
suppressing their power level. They are also able to contain
their ki in their body, though this is mostly learned in god ki
training or sage ki training rather than normal ki, and can do
damage to the body if one doesn't do it properly. This also
doesn't do things like negate the sound one makes, or make them
invisible (unless they have techniques that do so). This is
usually more for training, and may require specific training
depending on how one wants to learn how to use this (like those
that use transformations to weaken their power for training may
have to have transformation abilities).
Enhanced Senses and Ki/Power Level Sense:
~Thanks to ki users amping their bodies with their ability to
use ki, this also enhances users' senses, with all of their
senses being enhanced. The exact enhancements are different for
each person, much like other races enhanced senses, as this is
never a constant upgrade. Some may gain enhanced sense of smell,
or highly enhanced sight. Though most ki users get a fairly
balanced upgrade to their normal senses. However, ki users also
gain a special sixth sense for sensing ki and power levels of
other creatures. This is very useful for sensing the life energy
of others and usually sensing how powerful they are (Unless
they're able to hide their true power through things like
transformations and other energy suppression techniques). This
works with almost every living things with a few exceptions. For
the most part, ki of living things can be sensed, with exception
of certain ki types like god ki and sage ki, which can only be
sensed by ki users with specific training on the ki and have
actually used the ki to know how it feels. This means that if
someone goes into a god ki transformation (like Super Saiyan
God) or into a sage ki mode (similar to sage mode chakra users
use), those without those kis cannot sense their presence
change. Ki users can not also sense ki from artificial life
forms unless they generate ki specifically in their bodies (like
cloned beings being able to generate ki, or robots with ki
generating cores), but most robots are not able to be sensed
since their energy cores work differently. Sensing life energy
can be difficult among certain situations, and things without
life usually can only be sensed if they have ki specifically as
not all energies can be sensed with a ki sense.
Ki Meditation Focused Telepathy:
~This ability lets a ki user communicate telepathically with
anyone they can connect to, using their spirit to connect to
others if they know where they are. Typically this power uses
their mind's focus, in which they use it to tune to a person if
they know where they are in order to communicate with them. This
lets them communicate with other people without having to speak,
with them being able to share thoughts directly with others.
However, usually the ki user has to know where the person is to
use this since they have to know where to connect to. However,
this doesn't apply to those who establish permanent connections,
such as connecting to other family members through some shared
ki that can be used to establish a permanent connection. This
lets ki users not only communicate with those they have a
permanent connect with, but can also tell them where they are at
any time should they require to find them or need to be summoned
to them (which they would normally need to use their ki sense to
track people). Those who are set up with permanent connections
have to accept the connection, and even then, they can sever it
if they choose to. Users without permanent connections must know
where the other person is, and must be able to telepathically
communicate.
Ki Meditation and Mind Protection:
~Through meditation, ki users are able to block out outside
influences, designed to be a meditation method to help ki users
focus their ki and train their mind. This helps ki users reduce
how much ki they need to use, and helps the ki user grow in
their ability to use ki as they learn the right meditation
methods. This also makes ki users immune to mind manipulation,
as this meditation creates a protection around the user's mind
and allows the user to learn to block out specific influences,
and works similarly to powers like disciplined mind or iron
will. Unlike some who can still enter someone's mind even if
they're forced out, it isn't possible to enter a ki user's mind
or affect their mind at all when this protection is active, as
some ki users even use their life force to create a specific
protection of ki around their mind. This uses the mind and the
body's life force to protect the mind, even if that's not the
actual purpose of this meditative training. This also lets the
user manipulate their own mind, concentrating and influencing
their own emotions using their life force in their mind, usually
to help them enter the right emotional states to use their ki.
Though they can't enter their own mind's inner world like some
mind manipulation users can, as this is not designed to enter
the mind's inner world, just control the mind in a basic way.
This also means that some psychic abilities can still affect
them, like ones that attack the nerves, and some users can fall
prey to illusion abilities if they are not trained to see
through illusions specifically.
Enhanced Combat and Ki Trained Physical Stats:
~Ki users are typically highly trained in combat and ki
amplification. Just like any other energy user and combat
trained person, users of ki usually have enhanced physical
combat stats based on their ki level and amplification. Users of
stronger ki will have stronger stats, while some more combat
trained users of ki will have more concentrated physical stats.
This depends on the person, as their natural abilities are
typically amplified through their training they undergo. For
example, Namekians are usually weaker in combat, so they tend to
focus on speed, agility and their precise striking points to
take out stronger opponents, and Saiyans usually have more power
than other races due to their natural affinity for combat. This
is different for everyone, usually dependent on their training
and physical stats. Just like many forms of physical stats,
focusing on one or two stats usually grants a bigger boost to
stats but at a cost to having lesser amounts of other stats (AKA
speed and power may mean that defense and stamina suffer a bit),
while focusing on balanced stats means that opponents are less
likely to have trouble with not having specific stats at a
certain level, but may not be able to reach certain points
easily with stats to those that train in specific stats (IE a
user trained specifically in speed could overwhelm a balanced
stat user's speed if their stats aren't specially focused).
With the cybernetics and ki abilities, V is a pretty strong
balanced fighter despite her young age. This makes sense due to
the experiments her mother put her through in order to make her
strong.
Transformation(s):
Semi Primal Mode:
~V has the ability to transform into a semi form of a wolf, her
hair and her body are covered with a eerie emerald green aura
along with gaining claws, fangs and piercing green eyes. Weird
markings also show on her limbs and face. V is able to transform
into this thanks to her ki training, gaining a transformation
from it. This form is a way of her having some form of control
of her berserker state though it is prone to fail depending on
the stressful situation she is in so V has to be careful.
Berserker Form:
~This is V's unique enhanced ki user form. Some ki users are
able to build their ki to create transformations into more
powerful forms, such as saiyans who use super saiyan, or those
with god ki using god ki forms. For the most part, this
enhancement for V increases her abilities, using her anger and
negative emotions to boost this form considerably. V manage to
obtain this form one time during a mission due to a near death
experience. V kept this secret from her mother, stating that
it's a problem that needs to be fixed, which isn't a complete
lie. This transformations is originally made as a life or death
situation so that she could keep up with highly enhanced
fighters, including those that use transformations. V manage to
get somewhat of a grip of this form, being able to funnel her
emotions into it to make it stronger, though she can only do
this for a short time, and can't stay in this form for too long
without consequences. This form enhances all of V's physical
stats considerably, making her stronger, faster, and even
tougher to damage. This also enhances her ki, making it stronger
and making it do more damage to opponents. Usually, V use it in
small bursts, especially when using her basic form of ki though
it makes her into a silent avenger, which she prefers than
acting like a wild animal, another main reason why she doesn't
stay in this form for too long. Either way, this power is quite
strong, even if it can only be maintained for a short amount of
time.
Wolf Form:
~V is able to transform into a large arctic wolf that is the
size of a Dire Wolf. V is also enhanced with her ki when she
transform into a wolf, being able to still use her powers such
as her ki. Although she doesn't use it too much, Vin does enjoy
the form due to her being adorable and fluffy in her eyes, which
V tolerates.
Cybernetic Weaknesses:
Cybernetics Weaknesses:
If you s*ck at life, no amount of upgrades can save you:
~The skills of cybernetics may be great, but no matter how good
the cybernetics are, the base skills of the person being
enhanced are always a factor in how good the cybernetics are.
Because cybernetics enhance the skills and abilities one already
has, upgrading someone with little skill means they won't gain
much even with cybernetics. Typically, the base skill of the
person being enhanced can determine how effective cybernetics
upgrades will be, and the person's knowledge of how the
cybernetics work is also very important. While it's not always
necessary for people to be geniuses, cybernetics users always
have to have some knowledge in how best to use their cybernetics
upgrades and skills. For example, if one doesn't know how to use
magic, then magic based cybernetics won't be of much help. In
some cases, people who don't have the skill to learn their
cybernetics may even hurt themselves with their cybernetics
skills. As such, the cybernetics are only as good as the person
using them. If the person doesn't have the skills to utilize
their cybernetics, it is typically a big problem, and no amount
of cybernetics can enhance someone if their base skills are not
at a good enough level. It does depend on the upgrades used, and
partially depends on the upgrades themselves. However, the most
important thing is always the person using them, and how they
can use the cybernetics. Usually, it takes a creative mind to
utilize cybernetics effectively, and a somewhat adaptable person
to learn how to adjust to life with cybernetics upgrades. While
it may sound simple, adjusting to life with cybernetics is not
as easy as one things. When learning to use cybernetics, most
people have to learn how to move all over again, as moving with
cybernetics is a tricky process. However, adapting to
cybernetics can be done with time, and with time, one can
usually learn to utilize their cybernetics effectively. How
effectively is the big question though. Because even with
cybernetics, not everyone has the skill to utilize cybernetics
effectively. V was genetically engineered to be a top level
human, and her base skills are extremely good. So V typically
doesn't have to worry about this weakness. The only thing that
does get her into trouble is her brash and reckless attitude.
If your cybernetics doctor s*cks at life, You're equally
screwed:
~While it's true that cybernetics are only as good as the person
using them, they are also only as good as the person designing
them. This means that not only does the person's base skills
have to be at a certain level to properly use certain
cybernetics, but the person developing them needs to have a
certain skill in developing them. Not all cybernetics are good,
and some cybernetics are not up to par to enhance people with.
Some cybernetics can be faulty if not designed properly, and
some cybernetics may come with certain problems if not designed
properly. And if the scientist doesn't know what they're doing
when making cybernetics, one can probably guess that the
cybernetics won't work as intended, or worse, could make
everything worse. For the most part, the only hope for people
getting enhanced is to catch errors before the cybernetics are
installed into them, as then they can be fixed before being put
in. However, if the cybernetics are put in before the problem is
discovered, then the problem could cause future problems in the
cybernetics systems, and even more problems in the body. With
cybernetics they must be absolutely precise, and absolutely
perfect to adapt to the body. Depending on the technology and
the scientist making them, not all cybernetics can be made
perfectly. This depends on the technology available, and the
skill of the scientists making the cybernetics. While advanced
technology is good, scientists not knowing how to use it can
royally screw over the person with the cybernetics. In the worst
cases, there could be things the scientists don't account for,
and those things could be deadly to the person being enhanced.
For example, if a scientists doesn't properly calibrate the
cybernetics, it may be possible the precision movement system of
the cybernetics doesn't work properly, which could cause the
body to tear itself apart when the user tries to move. As such,
the designs of the cybernetics and the skill of those working on
them is absolutely a necessary thing to consider when getting
cybernetics upgrades. Currently, V and Vin have no cybernetics
doctor who knows their cybernetics, or one that they can trust,
so V and Vin are currently without a scientist to work on their
cybernetics.
If your body rejects the cybernetics, it ain't your fault but...
You're screwed:
~One major problem with cybernetics is not the parts themselves,
it's the body of the person being upgraded. Not every person can
be cybernetically enhanced, due to the fact that the body has
its own defenses and may try to fight cybernetics that are
installed. For example, the white blood cells may try to fight
artificial blood or nanotech in the blood, which is a big
problem. This is not the fault of anyone in particular, and is
just the result of a strong immune system that is trying to do
its job and protect the body. As such, this is a problem that
can't always be avoided, and some people cannot have cybernetics
installed no matter how good the technology is. This is the same
problem organ transplants have, in which the body will reject
anything it sees as foreign. As much as some would hate to say
it, this is usually a response by people with strong immune
systems, in which their immune systems are able to recognize and
fight off anything it sees as foreign. People with strong immune
systems are more likely to reject cybernetics, and if this
happens, the body itself will try to attack the cybernetics.
While this isn't as much a problem with things like artificial
limbs, this is a problem when putting things inside of the body,
especially if it goes into the blood stream. While there are
ways to lessen the risk, the risk is always there. Even people
who have had cybernetics for a long time may have their bodies
suddenly reject the cybernetics depending on the person.
Unfortunately, this is something that cannot always be
predicted, no matter how good the scientist or how good the
technology is. And when this happens, it is unfortunate that it
cannot usually be fixed unless the cybernetics are taken out of
the body (Which could kill the person upgraded with
cybernetics), or the cybernetics are replaced with something
more compatible with the human body (which still carries the
same risks of rejection). This is something that can actually
happen to almost anyone, and is always a risk. And if it does
happen, the person with the cybernetics upgrade usually dies in
the process or gets severely ill. This is always a risk for any
cybernetics user, including V and Vin. But given that their
cybernetics are mostly nanotech based, the nanotech is more safe
for upgrades than most other cybernetics, so it is unlikely V
and Vin would suffer any negative effects unless their bodies
reject their Zeus Engine (which would be a problem).
Cut my life into pieces. This is my last resort:
~Many cybernetics are able to keep people alive even in
desperate situations. Some people with cybernetics are even able
to survive decapitation if the cybernetics in their brain can
keep them alive. However, cutting someone into pieces and then
separating those pieces is always an option even with
cybernetics users. For the most extreme cases, this will always
be a way for people to stop someone who cannot be killed by
traditional means. With that method, one just needs to cut
someone into as many pieces as possible and put as much distance
between the pieces as possible. Bonus points if one can bury the
pieces deep enough underground that the pieces cannot dig their
way out, or regenerate while under the dirt (which can be
prevented if enough pressure is put on them when they are buried
deep enough. Cybernetics may be a good way to keep people alive,
but Dark Raiden said it best: There are fates worse than death.
Of course, not everyone requires that level of preparation to
defeat. For most people, taking the head of someone is a good
and dependable way to kill most creatures. Things like
destroying the heart or brain is also a good way to kill
someone. There is no one that doesn't have ways that they can be
killed, and even with cybernetics, there is no one that is
completely invincible. Even with cybernetics, races still retain
their normal weaknesses (usually, specific exceptions should be
stated). This includes things like many kinds of werecreatures
being weak to silver or vampires being weak to holy weapons. And
those that have regeneration are still weak to things like
varanium that negate regeneration, no matter how strong their
regeneration (as long as they are vulnerable to the specific
regeneration negation). But when all else fails, cutting someone
into pieces will always be a viable solution for taking someone
out of play if they cannot be killed in the traditional sense.
While cybernetics can grant some protections against certain
weaknesses depending on the cybernetics, the person still
retains the base of what they were before the cybernetic
upgrades, regardless of the upgrades. V and Vin are still human,
and are still subject to normal human weaknesses.
Don't remove that stuff... Think maybe it's keeping you alive?:
~For many, cybernetics become a permanent lifestyle choice. This
isn't just something people do to be cool, but it is a choice
that changes one's life forever. Once cybernetics are put into
someone, most people die if those cybernetics are removed. This
does partially depend on the cybernetics, as not all cybernetics
are so difficult to remove. However, most cybernetics can cause
serious damage if they are removed, due to them often replacing
parts of the body, and replacing essential functions in the
body. For example, removing an artificial heart would likely
kill the person since it would be the same as removing their
heart. Whether it's to remove the cybernetics, or to replace
damaged or defective cybernetics, modifying cybernetics is
something that requires the utmost care. And it is never
recommended for a cybernetics user to work on their own
cybernetics due to the fact that it is difficult for them to
work on their own body (that would be like asking a doctor to do
their own surgery). Once cybernetics are installed into someone,
they are there for life, and the person becomes dependent on
those cybernetics. However, as mentioned, not all cybernetics
are difficult to remove, where certain cybernetics like
artificial limbs can be replaced if needed. This typically
depends on the technology, and the scientist who is working on
the cybernetics. Modifying and fixing cybernetics is one thing
many scientists can do, but flat out removing cybernetics is
nearly impossible without killing someone or at least causing
severe damage to the body. But some cybernetic scientists may be
able to, as long as they are experienced enough and have the
right technology to do it. But it is always a gamble, due to the
fact that messing up in any way when removing or modifying
cybernetics could cause major problems. This also means that
destroying or damaging cybernetics could also cause problems in
the body, just like if one were to destroy parts of the body and
the whole body would suffer consequences as a result. The best
result for cybernetics users is to just learn to live with
cybernetics, and only let scientists they trust near their
cybernetics to modify or even attempt to remove them. Vin and V
cannot have their Zeus Engine removed, or they will die.
Depending on the doctor/scientist, it is possible to replace it,
but removing it without putting something else in would kill
them as V and Vin's cybernetics require the Zeus Engine to power
them.
Better get a doctor... Or a scientist? Who fixes you, anyway?:
~If cybernetics get damaged, they cause major problems for the
body. In a similar way to a domino effect of parts of the body
failing (such as an organ failing leading to other problems in
the body as a result), damaged cybernetics typically cause
problems beyond just not working. For example, if an artificial
heart or core device in the heart stops working, it may require
putting in a new artificial heart or core device in order to
save the life of the cybernetics user. However, it isn't just
fatal damage to cybernetics that can cause problem. Even what
may seem like simple problems could cause major problems. For
example, a core device that puts out more energy than it should
could poison the body with extra energy if the cybernetics
cannot expel that energy. There are consequences of cybernetics
going wrong, no matter the cybernetics. While some things may
not affect the body as much as others, any kind of cybernetics
that stop working will affect the body in some way depending on
the cybernetics. Whether this damage happens in or out of
battle, it is not wise for people with damaged cybernetics to
continue operating without fixing those cybernetics as soon as
possible. In the same way one shouldn't avoid going to the
doctor if they become seriously ill, a cybernetics user should
not avoid going to whoever works on their cybernetics if they
experience problems with their cybernetics. It isn't just damage
that one has to worry about either. Cybernetics can develop
glitches or become less effective over time, depending on the
cybernetics, so it is important to maintain one's cybernetics,
and fix anything that might become a problem before it seriously
affects the body. There are many things that can go wrong with
cybernetics, so it is hard to name every problem, let alone
every solution. But the end result is always the same: Problems
with cybernetics need to be dealt with. Worst case scenario, a
problem with cybernetics could kill a user depending on how
severe the problem is, and that is no exaggeration. However, as
long as one gets to their cybernetics scientist/doctor, usually
problems can be solved by someone, as long as the user has
access to someone who can work on their cybernetics when needed.
Because Vin and V are on their own, they don't have anyone yet
who can fix their cybernetics if they are damaged. This is a
problem, as if they suffer damage to their cybernetics, they
could die if they don't have someone who could fix their
cybernetics reliably, or they would have to go back to the
Olympus Organization to save their lives if they don't have
anyone to work on them.
Don't p*ss off your doctor. Pretty sure they can turn you off:
~In cybernetics, scientists/doctors always risk one of their
projects turning against them. This is something that is seen in
movies and media all the time, and something that happens to
cybernetics scientists/doctors. If a cybernetics user turns
against their scientist/doctor, the scientist/doctor will have
some kind of fail-safe for that event (at least, the smart
scientists/doctors do, unless they absolutely trust the people
they're upgrading, which is very rare). This could be as simple
as shutting down the cybernetics if the cybernetics are used
against the scientist/doctor, with some kind of control that the
scientist/doctor can exert over the cybernetics. Since the
scientist/doctor is the one who installs and works on the
cybernetics, they usually have the expertise on how to put in
fail-safes that will be unlikely to be overcome by the
cybernetics user on their own. Some may even have other
fail-safes, like taking direct control of the cybernetics they
develop, usually through some kind of remote system link to the
cybernetics. The only way for a cybernetics user to overcome
this would be to find another cybernetics scientist/doctor who
would be willing to remove whatever fail-safes are installed
into the cybernetics, but this requires both a trusting and
knowledgeable scientist/doctor who can learn the cybernetics of
the cybernetics user, and one that would trust the cybernetics
user not to turn against them. Typically, the fail-safes depend
on the cybernetics, and what kind of fail-safes the
scientist/doctor can program in. It does take some preparation
to put in these fail-safes, and the scientist/doctor has to put
in fail-safes the cybernetics user cannot overcome on their own.
Also, the technology available is also a factor, as not all
fail-safes are made the same way since every cybernetics case is
different, and the need is different for every kind of
cybernetics (for example, fail-safes for nanotech aren't the
same as fail-safes for artificial body parts). For example,
relying on an electromagnetic signal to shut down cybernetics
won't work on a cybernetics user who has the ability to jam
electromagnetic signals. So this requires creativity on the
scientist's/doctor's part, in how they will put in cybernetic
fail-safes. And this is something that almost every cybernetics
user has to deal with. The Olympus Organization definitely has
fail-safes built into V and Vin, and the Olympus Organization
could use those fail-safes if they ever track down V and Vin.
However, V has a different failsafe than Vin's thanks to Dr.
Ostell, which force V to turn into a savage animal at his
control and V doesn't even know about it.
Your firepower cannot exceed your cybernetic components, no
matter how hard you try:
~Most don't realize it or think about it, but there are systems
in place in almost all cybernetics to prevent overexertion. This
usually comes in the form of some kind of precision movement and
control system that operates in the cybernetics and is used to
determine how the cybernetics act and move within the body. And
there is a downside to using this system. Because the body could
tear itself apart if not used, this system has to constantly
control and monitor the body so that the body doesn't exert
itself. And once cybernetics are installed, 100% is usually as
far as one can push their cybernetics safely, and that limit
becomes established to protect the user, since pushing past that
can damage the cybernetics, and unlike the body, cybernetics
typically don't heal from over-straining. As such, the systems
in cybernetics cannot exceed a certain point, and those
limitations are usually always in place. If those limitations
were not in place, the body would suffer damage if the
cybernetics were able to push past those limits. As such, this
does give a slight disadvantage to cybernetics users, as they
are slightly more limited than most depending on their
cybernetics. While some cybernetics can push past their limits,
they cannot do so without risk of burning out completely, which
would cause a whole other set of problems. With this
limitations, there are walls that people cannot push past when
using cybernetics in their body, no matter how hard they try or
how dedicated they are to surpassing their limits. While some
cybernetics can allow a bit of strain and exertion, most
cybernetics have hard limits programmed in, and those limits
cannot be overwritten. As such, once a user hits that 100% cap,
they cannot push their bodies beyond that point, unlike many
creatures who can push beyond their 100% strength. The good side
to this though is that it is unlikely people can hurt themselves
through overexertion with cybernetics, if the cybernetics are
properly programmed and utilized. So users do gain an advantage
in that they can actually push themselves longer than people who
push themselves harder, since not pushing themselves as hard
preserves more of their stamina than one who pushes past their
limits. So, as one might guess, there are advantages and
disadvantages to this. V has fail-safes just like everyone else,
though hers aren't as set in stone, since most of her
cybernetics are nanotech enhancing her body. However, things
like her core device cannot be pushed beyond a certain point
without consequences.
Ki Weaknesses:
Ki energy users still have race weaknesses of whatever they are
regardless of the ki they use. If one is something like an angel
or demon, they will still have typical angel or demon
weaknesses. Most ki users can be killed just like whatever race
they are, and unless stated otherwise, most races can be killed
if their heart or brain are destroyed. Each race has it's own
strengths, yet has it's own weaknesses. Ki users are no
different. Typically, ki healing can help recover from wounds,
but this is not a passive regeneration, meaning that one has to
concentrate in order to use it. Of course, ki energy users still
take damage from attacks just like any other creatures. Ki is
typically favored by people who start out weaker than stronger
users, as this art became known for it's ability to help someone
grow in both body and mind. This kind of training is usually
favored by humans, but is also used by some other races as well
that utilize ki as well. Typically, most mortals that use ki
still have the same weaknesses of whatever race they belong to,
even if they get enhanced defense using ki, and their ki
abilities and amplifications can only go so far.
Ki users are usually more easily countered by counter natures,
such as dou ki users would be more easily countered by sei ki
users. Typically, ki natures and abilities all have counter
abilities, even the advanced ki types. For example, demon ki is
countered by demon ki, and mystic ki is often countered by
maajin ki. Every nature and ability has some form of counter in
ki use, but also some other energies can also be used to counter
ki. For example, chi is a power very similar to ki, and can be
used differently, but ultimate can counter ki as well. Other
energies like spirit energy, aura, and chakra can also be used
to counter ki if one has strong enough energy. As such, almost
any energy can be used with certain exceptions. Certain
exceptions would include those that use life energy devouring,
who are able to devour life energy, making life energy attacks
on them pretty much useless. As long as one's energy is at a
certain level, one can find ways to counter ki attacks if one is
creative enough. For example, a chi barrier is just as effective
as a ki barrier, or a mana beam can be used to counter a ki
beam. Typically, techniques using ki are countered best by other
energies, and one doesn't have to be a ki user to understand the
natures of ki. While the dou ki and sei ki may seem confusing to
people used to talking about things like positive and negative
spirit energy or similar energies, dou and sei ki aren't too
difficult for people to understand and can lead to users finding
ways to counter these energy types. The hardest ones to counter
are the forbidden arts, which are still counterable if one knows
how they work.
Ki users can only use ki techniques and their ki abilities as
long as they have ki. Without it, none of their ki techniques
work, save the ones that use life force, which can kill the user
if they use too much of their life force. Running ki users out
of ki is the best way to fight them for most ki users if an
opponent doesn't have any real plan to break a ki user's ki
defense and amplification. Without ki, any ki user will be
without power, unless they have a way to replenish their ki.
Some users can replenish their ki, but often require specific
ways to do it. For example, sage ki users can replenish their
supply of sage ki, but require absorbing ki from nature to do
it, which takes concentration. Overall, without ki, a user will
lose all of their amplification and ability to use ki
techniques, often reducing them to their base stats as a being
unless they have other abilities to boost them. Most users are
severely weakened if they lose their ki, and will not be able to
fight at their peak efficiency. Usually once out of ki, users
usually are close to being out of stamina as well, which means
that once one runs out of ki, it is usually time to retreat for
use a life force technique (That will often risk the user's
life).
Typically, ki users have to rely on being stronger than other
energy users, as many of their defenses require the opponent to
be at their level or below. While fighting higher level
opponents can help them grow once they have pushed past their
limits, ki users are more easily taken down by people with
stronger energy than their ki. If they encounter a user with
stronger energy attacks, their attacks can break through one's
ki defense and amplification, or one can use other techniques
that ignore energy defense/amplification. There are a few
techniques and fighting styles some have developed for taking on
stronger opponents, but many of these require heavy burdens on
the body, such as the Crane School's Tri-Beam/Kikoho can be used
on stronger opponents to restrain them, or some other techniques
might be able to overpower stronger opponents at the cost of
some life energy. However, these techniques don't usually work
against certain situations, such as aura breaker weapons, which
work on any ki user, or dimension cutter attacks which can work
on any energy user that doesn't use similar distortion energies.
Because of this, ki users have to be careful when fighting
opponents stronger than them, or else they could get
overpowered.
Ki requires a strong body and a sound mind to use. If a user is
not balanced, or they cannot focus properly, the user may have
trouble focusing their ki, just like many energy types.
Typically, ki is drawn out by emotions, and if someone is unsure
of themselves or suffering emotions that counter their specific
natures (IE Dou ki users not being able to summon up strong
emotions), then this interferes with their natures. Not being
able to remain balanced is the biggest cause of weakened ki use,
whether it's because someone tries to use a ki nature they
aren't meant to (IE a dou ki user using sei ki), or a user just
not being able to keep themselves balance due to not being able
to commit their emotions properly to maintaining their balance.
Dou ki users rely on heavy emotions, which means that they have
to use these heavy emotions. Typically, weaker emotions result
from them doubting their abilities, or not being able to
concentrate a strong enough emotion to use their abilities. Sei
ki users require calmness, and if one can keep them from
focusing, whether through making them doubt themselves, or just
making the user not able to focus properly to use their own ki.
Typically, both sides of ki require specific ways to use their
ki, and interrupting it has the same effect, in that their ki
will whether weaken, or in worse times, might even not work.
This means that users have to be careful and constantly train to
keep their mind and body properly ready to use their abilities,
as even their body not being in peak form could cause their ki
to not work properly if their bodies are too exhausted or
damaged, since the body generates ki in the first place.
Just like some other energies, drawing too much ki could risk
killing the user, or hurting them severely. It's bad enough that
trying to draw too much ki energy can drain a user completely,
but if one still continues to push beyond that point that one is
out of ki, then they will start to pull on their vital life
force, which can kill them if they use up their life force.
While life force is stronger than normal energy, it is also far
more dangerous to use. If a user runs out of life force, they
will usually die from it. While ki is about pushing one's limits
and drawing one's inward power outward, over-using ki can still
cause damage to the user. If a user overstrains their ki, they
can do damage to their body, and if they damage the parts of the
body that generate ki, their ability to generate ki could be put
at risk. Ki in the body uses the same points in the body as
chakra and chi, which all use chakra points usually. As such,
these points being damaged could damage the body's ability to
use energy if ki energy is not used properly, or is overstrained
on the body. Typically, this is very dangerous to any ki user,
as all ki users cannot generate ki attacks without chakra points
and a flow of ki in the body to release into creating ki
attacks.
Weapons and Gear:
Claymore:
~V's main weapon for combat. The blade is made specifically for
V so she can use her powers as a form of conduit. This sword
focus static energy and can be used in conjunction with ki
amplification to create ki based energy blade attacks. This
gives the sword the ability for perform powerful attacks, as
well as being able to be used for defense. The sword is made to
cut nearly anything along with being able to those with
regeneration both natural and artificial.
Dagger:
~A back up weapon. V has this blade in case she cannot use her
sword. The dagger is made of the same material as her sword,
making it just as deadly.
Jacket:
~The white jacket V wears is made out of a special nano-polymer
that excites the molecules in the air, and generates static
electricity which can be absorbed. This is useful for V since
she can transfer that energy to herself for various purposes
such as defense, offense or support.
Personality:
Let's be real. V needs some therapy.
V is a stern young teenager with trust issues. Due to her trauma
and the abuse she went through, V is distant and cold to people
to the point of not trusting others. She has also shown to be
pretty blunt, wanting to get straight to the point and has
little patience for those who loves to run their mouths,
especially those with big egos. Although trying to use it as a
last resort, V is a pretty violent person, normally a attack
first before they attack you type, not wanting to let anyone get
the jump on her or Vin.
Despite her hard hearted nature, V isn't exactly heartless like
her older sister and mother. V has shown to be pretty empathic
in her own way, such as helping those in need. Just like her
father, V believes in showing compassion and helping others,
even if it's small. V is also shown to be boar headed at times,
which has shown many times during her times in Olympus much to
the irritation of others, especially her own family. V is also
shown to be open minded, not judging people by their covers even
though she's guarded. V fiercely believes that actions speaks
louder than words, no matter what. V has a bit of a soft side to
her due to her love of animals and food. She enjoys simple
things such as going outside or sparring with her little sister,
Vin. V is known to be protective of Vin, viewing her as a little
sister and more of a family member than her mother and
biological sister, even going as far as lashing out at people
who calls Vin a clone. Although not a brainiac like her family,
V is shown to be smart in her own way though she does overthink
at times.
In battle, V goes straight to the point. No monologue, no
techniques. Nothing. She just fight. Although she relies on
brawler tactics, she does use her martial arts skills if the
situation calls for it. Though she likes to keep it simple.
Doesn't matter if it's with weapons or her fists. Though V does
has her smart moments by using her ki techniques to get herself
out of sticky situations. Even though she was trained to be a
fighter, or more so a killer to be blunt, V actually doesn't
like to fight. She sees it as a necessity in order to survive
and protect the ones that she cares about hence why she trains
as much as possible. Depending on the situation, she tries to
deescalate things or use her powers in a non lethal way.
Although she's not above taking a life if the situation calls
for it, she doesn't feel good about it.
At the end of the day, V is a traumatized teenager who believes
that she's better of dead. The only thing she cares about is
getting Vin somewhere safe since she believes that Vin deserves
to live a better life, even if it cost her her own.
