running now." - Rayne Deidus
"A hunter is two things: Efficient and deadly."
"Let the hunt... begin."
"I'll give you a two minute head-start. Three if I feel
generous."
"You have one way out of this... Opponent tries to attack him.
That wasn't it."
"Enjoy burning to death... Shoots opponent with incendiary
bullet. A*shole..."
"Anything can be hunted. Even the gods themselves."
"I'm going to track you down. And then I'm going to mount your
head on my wall as a trophy."
"How boring... Perhaps I should amplify your powers. Maybe then
you'll be a challenge."
"You may not be worth the time to hunt, but maybe I can make a
good soup out of your organs."
"I'll give you a chance to fight... Throws enemy their gun. Pick
it up." - Rayne vs an enemy
"My guns are a special blend of Seiji magic, and sulfur
incendiary to create fast, explosive, fiery and powerful shots.
And the bullets I put special enchantments on them to weaken
enemies. I make two guarantees with every shot: That what I
shoot will hurt, and they will burn."
"Humans will never master the curses that have afflicted them,
like vampirism and lycanthropy. Those kinds of curses weren't
meant for humans, they were meant for us. But humans think
they're the center of the universe, don't they?"
"They say humans are the most dangerous game... But I find them
to be quite boring and predictable. They're only slightly above
the rank of animals. Some humans can be more creative, but it's
rare for them to think straight when they're running for their
lives."
"Many Seiji hate guns because they think there's more finesse to
old weapons. But that's far from true... It actually takes more
training to use a gun properly, than it takes to swing a sword
or weapon against others. And there's fighting styles being
developed for fighting using guns, even though there's not as
many as there are for other weapons. The fact that there aren't
many fighting styles for guns specifically requires people to
improvise, and develop their own styles. And that's great for
Seiji. My family personally thinks guns are among the better
human inventions. In our family, we even develop our own guns.
Sulfur incendiary point shots through a magically charged gun
that can fire shots at the speed of sound."
When Rayne worked with another Seiji.
The Seiji notice Rayne take out his custom Sulfur Magic pistols.
Seiji: Ew... Guns? We Seiji should be above those pathetic
weapons.
Rayne: Maybe if I blow your brains out with one, you'll change
your mind. He says sarcastically.
Seiji: Real Seiji use weapons with finesse. He says as he takes
out a sword.
Rayne just rolls his eyes.
Rayne: Yeah, because swinging a big metal stick around takes so
much technique... He says sarcastically.
When Rayne fought an enemy.
Enemy: We're gods, boy. We don't need to hold back. We can take
whatever we want! They say, trying to goad Rayne.
Rayne: Fool... It takes far more strength to hold back. And that
gives me a strength you will never understand. He says as he
points his gun. Not that you'll live long enough to find out...
"Is... that Seiji amplifying my powers?! What kind of crazy
a*shole empowers his enemies?!" - An enemy when Rayne amplified
their abilities to make the hunt more challenging.
"Great... A Seiji with a gun. Never thought I'd see the day." -
A Seiji complaining about Rayne's use of guns.
"The Deidus family are hunters first. In the same way you humans
hunt down your own kind who fall to supernatural powers, we also
are trained to hunt human supernaturals who are consumed with
power, though not to the extent the Deidus family is. They were
bred with specific powers to take on their enemies. And they
enjoy every moment of the hunt."
