Amalia gives Lucifer a smile as she walks through the door.
Amalia: I do enjoy Goya's work though I'm more partial to the
artists of photorealism, expressionism, and pop art. Such as
Andy Warhol with his strange yet enticing photographs, or the
highly detailed work of American painter, Chuck Close. She says
with genuine interest in the arts. She looks around the
restaurant until Lucifer walks in and escorts her to a table.
Amalia: I also enjoy some romanticism and abstract illusionism
as well.
Gor comes to a stop and pulls out a cigarette as he sees Amalia
and Lucifer stop at the sushi restaurant. He lights the
cigarette and tries to look nonchalant.

He trails in after her and places a polite hand on her back,
leading her to a table in the back corner. He pulls out a chair
allowing her to sit before he does. Lucifer: I think you would
have enjoyed Lux’s last home in that case. LA was thriving and
home to just that sort of thing. Alas man made buildings don’t
exactly fair well versus the Yellowstone Volcano. It’s a real
shame my art collection burnt to a crisp. I had an original
Close or well Maz did, but she kept it in my penthouse so it may
as well have been mine.
Maz turns her head from the window display, observing him. She
thinks for a moment about that expression “a fish out of water”
as she stares. Maz: You’re not fooling anyone being all stiff.
Though I don’t think your creator cares much about that.

Amalia takes a seat in the chair that Lucifer had pulled for
her. Hearing about the Yellowstone volcano explains why Amalia
had to reroute her travels to Japan in this world. The fact that
Yellowstone exploded wasn't too much of a surprise but
definitely worth learning. Amalia: Well that is truly sad that
you lost a genuine Close. That was a true tragedy when
Yellowstone exploded. I was lucky that I was out of Maine and in
the Bolivia area. Amalia says as a little lie to hide the fact
that she is a dimensional traveler. She can't be sure exactly
how much that she could trust Lucifer but has to admit that he
is charming and has quite the taste in art.
Gor looks to Maz with a slight grin as he takes a drag of his
cigarette. Gor: I have never been one to not stand out. I am
quite the large man after all. He says in a thick French accent
as he exhales. Gor: So you must be the bodyguard of the fancy
man. Is the city really that dangerous?

Lucifer: Bolivia huh? And how was that? He scoots her chair in
and settles across from her. Something in him knows she’s not
telling the truth, but he doesn’t call her on it. Lucifer: And
what lead you to leave and come all the way here to Japan? A
desire to travel or something more?
Maze: For most people? No. But he’s a decently wealthy business
owner in a world ravaged by disaster. He can never be too
careful. She turns to press her back to the window, a casual
stance for someone with a job like hers. Maze: But she must feel
like she needs protection to drag someone with your build
around. She must be trouble or in trouble.

Amalia: Oh Bolivia was nice until war struck it. That's when I
decided to make an escape for the far east and came to Japan.
Once again, Amalia lies like a professional. She doesn't miss a
single beat in the lie that she is weaving as she has no clue
what Bolivia is actually like in this universe. Deep down
inside, she is surprised that Lucifer hasn't called her out on
anything so she must be hitting some thing correct.
Gor takes a drag off of his cigarette and exhales as he takes a
more relaxed stances. He knows that he shouldn't divulge too
much at this point. Gor: In a world ravaged by destruction,
someone with madam's talents is highly sought after and worth
protecting. He says in his thick French accent and the takes
another drag. As a golem, he is very independent and smart about
his actions and duties. This close to Gor, Maze would be able to
tell that Gor isn't exactly alive nor does he have a soul.

Lucifer leans slowly back in the chair and smiles. It’s a
captivating expression, but it has a hint of something
dangerous.Lucifer: Oh and you were doing so good my dear.
Bolivia would have been a believable place to have been at
first. You would have had some time until the ash cloud spread
that far. In fact, it would have been thin enough to perhaps be
livable but toxic. Like the ash and smoke filled air from a
wildfire. It really would have been the mentor impact or
flooding that got you to move, but not war. And it would have
been far before now. He gives a small tilt to his head. You see
you clearly arrived recently to Japan and Bolivia and the rest
of The Americas has been uninhabitable for ages. There’s no war
to escape there because there’s no living beings there. So Miss
Amalia He sits forward and leans against the table looking
intently at her. Really reading into her from her energy to her
body language. where are you from?
Maz nods and slips a curved knife out. She slips her finger into
the circle opening at the end of the hilt and begins to twirl it
around. She’s fidgeting more than trying to intimidate him.
Maze: That she may be and yet you just let her walk into a room
to play games with the devil. You
might not be very good at your job.

Amalia gets a soft smile as Lucifer reveals her lies and sits
back a bit in her seat. She realizes that now she was caught
that she should reveal some of the truth. Amalia: Well, I was
hoping to bluff my way through this, but obviously I'm not as
good as I had hoped. Now as for where I'm from, would you
believe me when I say that I am from an alternate Earth in a
different universe and searching for something precious to me?
Lucifer would be able to tell that Amalia is being 100% truthful
when she suggests that she is from an alternate universe.
Gor raises an eyebrow and looks through the window at Lucifer
and Amalia when Maze mentions that Lucifer is the devil. Gor:
Huh, so that is what the devil looks like here. I expected horns
and a pitch fork, not a Playgirl playmate pretty boy. He says as
he looks back to Maze with a look that says he's not worried
about Amalia. Gor: I think you should be more worried about what
Amalia can do. She has held her ground with other devils in the
past. He says with a bit of a grin. He knows that he is giving
away more than he should.

Lucifer nods as a waitress comes and drops menus and a tablet to
place an order on at the edge of the table. Lucifer: I’m more
inclined to believe you than you might believe. You wouldn’t be
the first person I’ve met from a universe other than here. He
says sliding a menu across the table to her. And don’t worry you
lied better than most. I’m just very good at catching them.
Anyhow, how might I be of service in getting back what you lost?
Maze: Ah but Lucifer isn’t other devils, and as for the horns
and pitchforks well thats just a caricature to a degree. Here
the devil appears to be but a man. Humanity is almost always
more inclined to believe an attractive face especially when
they’re desperate.

Amalia: I'm not sure if you can help me find what I've lost.
Long story short. My father was banished to the massive expanse
of the Void by my people. They said that his experiments to
evolve human race further were.. unethical. So they banished him
and locked away all of his notes. Now, I'm trying to find a way
to save my father, but so far, everything is leading me to seek
out an entity named Malice. They say that he is the keeper of
the Void and can find anyone lost within it. She says honestly
as she takes a menu to look over what the restaurant offers.
Amalia: If you know anything about the Void, then you know how
dangerous it is to traverse. I run through there from time to
time to collect raw materials for my ability. She says as she
begins to look over the menu and debates among a couple of
options. Amalia: So you see, it might be more trouble to help me
unless you know where I can find Malice or somehow have the
power to make my father magically appear.
Gor: Ah well he might not find much hope within Lady Amalia. She
has all but given up hope on what she seeks. Now we seek
information more than going to dangerous lengths for what she
desires most. Gor says smoothly in his French accent and then
takes a drag off of his cigarette.

Lucifer: Sadly, even I cannot bring back people trapped in the
void. It is more than I am allowed to do in the present moment.
Finding Malice or even granting certain protections in the void
may be more within my purview. He sets the menu to the side,
coming here often enough that he doesn’t need it. Lucifer:
Malice frequents his kingdom in the void or occasionally the
Hell of Souls. I believe he also inhabits the Dark Universe or
at least he did for a time. He tilts his head in thought.
Lucifer: There may also be Hyperion in other universes. Or the
ritual.
Maz: Well maybe your Lady Amalia will get lucky here. Lucifer
deals in souls, lost hope, and broken dreams.
