I'm not sure about the globalist thing either; but am I wrong to
think the Anglican and Catholic Churches are getting closer? Not
only have we seen King Charles praying with Pope Leo, recent
history was made in September when the Duchess of Kent had a
Catholic funeral in Westminster Cathedral. I didn't even know it
was permitted for a member of the royal family to be married to
a Catholic, so that news was a real surprise for me. I think
she converted to Catholicism after her marriage to the Duke of
Kent. I can't complain about it since such situations can be
complicated; but a Catholic service in Westminster Cathedral
indicates neither churches sees a big divide.

To be honest Kerry I don’t have a lot of respect for the Church
of England ( Anglican ) I do believe there are true believers
within the church and they did develop the alpha course which
did have a major impact but they also have a lot of rituals like
the Catholics
When I was younger if anyone asked what religion you were you
would write C of E - my parents, grand parents did and yet they
were not Christians. It was normal for people to go to church,
it was a custom and had very little to do with coming to any
real faith.
High Church of England does things that are very similar to
Catholic - They have a hierarchy like the Catholics as well.
I may be doing the church an injustice but to me it’s an
organisation on one level.
I checked and Princess Michael was allowed to marry a Catholic
because they were lower down the line of succession, also
certain laws were changed.
I guess if she was a Catholic it is only right that she had the
funeral in a Catholic Church.
Over the year rules have changed with regards to the royal
family - Charles and Camilla were both divorcees and they were
allowed to marry and she has become Queen. Yet years ago Edward
had to abdicate due to wanting to marry a divorcee and commoner.
Now many Royals are married to commoners, one is married to a
Rugby player. I am sure many of their ancestors would be
horrified !! lol

I got your point, I think, and agree.

It wasn't Princess Michael's funeral. She's up there in years,
but she did attend the funeral. I guess there may have been two
Duchesses of Kent? Or is one a Duchess and the other a Princess?
I am confused. "Prince" Andrew also showed up. From People:
Princess Anne, Sir Timothy Laurence, Prince Andrew, Sarah
Ferguson, Sophie the Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince and Princess
Michael of Kent and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were also
among the guests who attended the funeral on Tuesday.
The times are changing, aren't they?

Easy enough to do, eh? So there are two, but with different
titles. I found out at Wikipedia that Princess Michael had
married a Catholic but that marriage was annulled by the church.
Legally though, it was a divorce. So she also had her own
connection to the Catholic Church.

Helen is my English history buff, my dad had no religious
affiliation and I did wonder why he stuck with the Protestant
and not Catholic, I was always a Roundhead against the Cavaliers
growing up, maybe it was the pudding basin style haircut.
Our old Pastor was a great one for the Pope being the scarlet
women and the seven hills having ‘end time significance,’ plus
the Jesuits spreading misinformation.
If follow the money means anything, I remember the Vatican
banker hanging from one of London’s bridges, the catholic
penalty for embezzlement and getting caught.
A lady at our house church wanted to know if she should leave
the R C church and asked the Lord for a sign, she had a dream of
an ornate cathedral and her leaving the doors only to find she
was imprisoned by rolls and rolls of barbed wire. She did make
it out.
Mr Trump and the pope, a bit of chest bumping egotism maybe
😇😇😇.
