I apologize if I'm reading the situation incorrectly; but I
can't go on posting here. I'll frankly admit the stress is
getting to me. Perhaps other members don't realize what they're
doing is causing me stress; I would not want to accuse them
since I can't read their minds; but I have enough stress in my
life already . . . as I realize many others do.
It seemed like a good idea at first for me to join. Perhaps my
posts would inspire others to post more. That's not the case.
If anything maybe others are avoiding posting because of me. I
don't seem to be inspiring "unity" at any rate. So I'm leaving
and wish you all well.

Maybe you have totally ‘gone’ , maybe you read from outside the
forum.
I’d just like to say I’m sorry that I haven’t been more
supportive Kerry . I’ve enjoyed our relationship over three
decades at least , maybe more!
I’m one of those people who can be close friend with people who
see things differently , ( if I wasn’t I wouldn’t have many
friends haha! I can disagree agreeably …some people can only be
‘friends’ if they both agree and see eye to eye. We are all
different.
I hope you reconsider Kerry …. You have much to contribute
, even if some of it seems a bit odd to others. Everyone has
their own strengths and weaknesses , thank God we aren’t all the
same! How boring would that be! LOL Yet together we make up a
whole …we all have different functions and callings .
Don’t throw out the baby either the bath water !
In this dark sad world , we need every glimmer of light that we
can get! ✝️
God is Good …let God be God .
Love Wins! Always ……

As for me my Alzheimer's puts me well out of the equation.
I just long to be extricated.

If the mountain seems to big today then climb a hill instead,
If the morning brings you sadness, it’s OK to stay in bed.
If the day ahead weighs heavy and your plans feel like a curse,
there’s no shame in rearranging and don’t make yourself feel
worse.
If a shower stings like needles and a bath feels like you’ll
drown, if you haven’t washed your hair for days don’t throw away
your crown.
A day is not a lifetime,
A rest is not defeat.
Don’t think of it as failure just a quiet kind of retreat.
It’s O K to take a moment from an anxious fractured mind, the
world will not stop turning while you get realigned.
The mountain will still be there when you want to try again, you
can climb in your own time, just love yourself ‘till then.
Thanks to whoever wrote it, it hit the spot one morning for me.

Dave, It certainly 'hit the spot' for me as perfectly as if God
had written it to me.
You must be 'God's messenger'.
I shall bare it whilst on long Forum Sabbatical (reinforced by
my determination to log-out and hopefully stay that way... my
fragile health being as it is).
Welcome back 'kerrydestrong'.

You and Rita talked me into it. I had trouble registering. Now
I find out I created two accounts. I think I'll use this one.
I don't know if you or Mike will want to delete the "Kerry"
account. I'm not even sure if I could sign in it or not.
I may have more trouble tomorrow signing in since I'm having my
computers updated to Windows 11. I'll be on the computer I
seldom used when it comes back after being updated since this
computer will get swapped and I can't be on it.

Keeping everyone in my prayers ….H

I was looking at some old notes on ‘ an eye for and eye ‘ - very
much a case that it was considered okay to seek revenge, or
punishment if someone wronged you. Like everything in the
sermon, Jesus came to bring a new way and change the way things
had been interpreted and acted upon in the past.
You have heard it said, BUT- such a small word but so relevant
and important. Relaying a ‘ Hang on a moment I am wanting to
change that attitude ‘
He relays that ‘ we should not resist ‘ but it doesn’t mean we
should just take it and not act in some way. It means ‘ stand
against ‘ but Jesus conveys examples that show a different way
to do that …..
‘ turn the other cheek ‘ makes the other person think about what
they are doing. Offering the other cheek would encourage the
other person to evaluate social equality
‘ Give up your coat ‘ - if you did this you would be standing
their naked and it would draw attention to both people and bring
about public shame , once again it would make the person re
consider because it would publicly expose their attitude and
injustice
‘ Extra mile ‘
Romans could demand you carry things for a mile, but no further
By offering to go the extra mile you are actually offering to
help them
Jesus came to flip things around.
Interesting he doesn’t say ‘ you have heard it was written ‘ but
‘ you have heard it said ‘ this, to me, implies that something
has changed from Gods original intention.
Consider non violent ways when people wrong you x
