Yes, it does appear that it is true about the father - and yet
they released a statement saying they were against what his son
had done. Wonder if that was to save face so that they don’t
       come under the radar.
I always presumed that if you are a Muslim, and male, and die
for the cause you are promised ten virgins in the after life. It
encourages them to die for the cause. If the father had that
kind of attitude then it’s no wonder the children had the same
       views.
There are usually problems at the marches because they have
recently brought laws in against supporting some groups that
support Palestine - so often as not many are arrested, which
       creates a reaction.

So you noticed that little problem with the father's statements.
I figure it's easy to be "brave" about Hamas when you live in
the UK, a lot easier than belonging to Hamas and putting your
life at risk. But when this man's son goes berserk and his
family faces backlash, perhaps even violence, the father took a
       more reasonable tone.
You were right about how the marches go. Close to 500 people
were arrested for showing support for some group called
       Palestine Action.
  HTML https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ceq2e9x19g8o<br
/> While I found out it's against the law to declare support for
that group publicly, I don't know what the government will do.
I wonder too if some of the protesters were being paid. I know
       what I'd do which is to strip them of their British citizenship;
and deport them if they have dual citizenship. If they don't
like British laws and want to break them, what are they doing in
       the UK?
I hadn't heard of that group before; but checking out their
history convinced me it's a terrorist organization. I was
       shocked.

       I was
also amazed that Amnesty International objected and said
arresting the protesters were in violation of human rights!
They got to be joking! Then I checked out their history and
found they had done some rather disgusting things themselves. I
had always thought Amnesty International was a good
organization; but I think it's corrupt now. To think they paid
out big money to settle claims they had a toxic working
environment! There are other bizarre things in their history
too like a huge settlement to hush up a suicide -- here's a link
       about them.
  HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Amnesty_International#<br
/> Perhaps they need to be banned. If I ran the British
government, I'd be looking at them as a "corrupt organization."

       Hi Kerry
Yes the ban for the Palestinian protest group only came into
force earlier in the year - I think the last straw was when they
attacked military planes. I equally wonder if they deliberately
March so that the police are so affected that it endeavours to
lift the ban. Processing 500 must be a nightmare, and they are
       happening on a regular basis.
Not sure that everyone on the March is part of that particular
       group.
Not really heard much of amnesty international lately, they use
to hit the news years ago.
I am equally not sure of all that Greta Thornborg does, it all
seems political and attention seeking to me. That’s what the
protests in London were about the day of the Manchester attack-
they were protesting about her being arrested in Gaza. That
turned into clashes with the police in the end.
It reminds me of the old BNP at football matches, many were
there just to cause problems and stir up the crowds, and create
havoc. Some people just want an excuse to let of steam and
fight, so their main aim it to cause problems and join these so
called groups just as an outlet. Mob violence.

       Hi Kerry
The police are to be given more rights with regards to allowing
marches. I was thinking about all that’s going on - ‘ reactions
verses responses ‘ at the moment so many things are hitting
people on an emotive level and they react, and often as not it’s
to ‘ get back ‘ at someone or something. That’s never really
been a good reason to do anything
There was a fire at a small mosque in Peacehaven, it’s where I
use to back in the 70’s, so not far away. Retaliation - revenge.
There have been more marches since the ban on this Palestinian
pro group - a reaction, like kids throwing their toys out of a
pram. Yet the more they act like this the more they risk more
restrictions. The very thing they are fighting against ( freedom
to March ) may well be taken away from them, and others. We
perpetuate the very thing we are endeavouring to protect because
of how we go about it.
How many wars have been started because of revenge, even in OT
this happened. When God was not a part of it all it went wrong.
Find myself saddened and so out of my depth with regards to know
what I should be doing, it all seems such a mess and creating so
       much suffering throughout this world.
My son and I were finishing off Daniel last night and talking
about pride and anger - I reminded him of a verse ‘ Hold every
thought captive to the Lord ‘ - that difference between reacting
and responding. Our emotions get us into trouble , it gets the
       world into trouble.
Years ago , after 9/11, I kind of knew deep within me that the
war that followed was about revenge - even though they tried to
justify it all. Much of what we face today is down to that
       reaction.
Maybe thats too naive , but I firmly believe we reap what we sow
       as countries/ nations
       Sorry - waffling again !
