       Moving Forward with the Spirit
By: Pat Date: July 29, 2025, 7:42 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I went to church on Sunday, a church that had dwindled from
500 members with lots of children to as few as 60 with no
children at all; all growing older. But in recent years there
has been a change and now there are at least 20 children who
come with their families. But the surprising thing is that most
of the new people are black. But there is definitely a feeling
       of moving forward.
Now it has been a thing for the people of this church who have
been there since it's beginning in the 80s to keep looking back
to the 'glory days' when you had to get there early to get a
good seat. But as I remained seated during one of the hymns I
didn't know I felt that the time of looking back was over and
God was moving the church forward. And I sat and just prayed,
as the people around me sang, for the Holy Spirit to take over
and guide us into a new era. And then afterwards a friend said
she had a vision of Jesus walking in front of her, leading the
       way.

Sounds like you had a blessed time Pat, when the Ark is moving
don't touch it, is a good adage.
A shift from the past and a focus on something new brings a new
       beginning.
Is this a local church near you?

Sounds like a lovely moving moment to experience Pat. And it’s
high time that the Church awake from the sleep it’s been lulled
into and arise and shine .

This church fellowship was the 'best thing' around for many
years but I think it became too inward looking and we never did
much in the way of outreach. So it eventually lost its vision
and momentum and failed to thrive.
A few years ago God gave me a prophesy which more or less said
that if they didn't recognise His Sovereignty then He would tear
it apart and put it back together. Consequently that is what
has happened. The word God gave to the leader now is that He
will open a door that no one can shut.
