Our GP's appointments often get delegated to lower grade nursing
assistants. Genuine GP appointments are limited to 5 minute
duration. They don't seem to be prepared to commit to long term
diagnosis, and refer such patient needs to specialist
practitioners. The GP sausage machine's regular maintenance is
paramount.
Long gone are the days when one's local doctor was not merely a
part of a large practice.
Went I was young my mother would phone (answered by the doctor
himself, who opened his 'surgery' for early appointments, before
beginning his 'daily rounds' of patients who needed personal
visits.)
I realise there has since been a significant population increase
but I would wager that the Doctor to patient ratio is now
significantly less due to the complexity of maintaining
procedural records.
Here endeth the 'rant'.
I had no idea there was such a crisis in healthcare in
the UK. It sounds worse than the one here. Why is it allowed
to go on, with the government apparently doing next to nothing?
I found this article:
HTML https://yougov.co.uk/health/articles/51786-what-do-nhs-workers-say-are-the-biggest-problems-with-the-health-service<br
/>
Now I'm wondering if you're being given the run-around in case
surgery would be needed and they don't want to spend the money.
I wonder if contacting your MP would help motivate Parliament do
act? The UK does have a staff shortage.

Here I was delivered by an unremembered nurse at home, the first
doc I recall was Dr Sutherland, a crusty left over from the
first WW, of Scottish descent, thus his medical bag was suitably
ladened with his hip flask, he and my dad were good friends, his
house visits could come with an extra perk.
His surgery was like a left over Victorian library, I loved it
when dad got a prescription and we trotted off to the chemist
with all the different coloured bottles of stuff.
I think he was a firm believer that that the body is fearfully
and wonderfully made and given time will heal itself.
Unfortunately the Alberta Health care doesn't function on a
unified front here in Canada, it consists of schisms and isms,
every change in government spends money not fixing it, time for
a Paul's shadow imho.
The great healing buzz word was Regional treatment, which just
meant you drive a long way.
Helens brother used to drives all over Sussex for treatment for
his wife, it's called regional.
Kerry getting hold of your local MP is like pulling Hens teeth
here and as she's in a minority party, good luck on that!!!!!!

We used to sing a chorus using this verse waaaaaaaaaay back
when, taken from the book of Micah Cp 7vs 8.
" Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall ( not
if!!!!) I shall arise; when ( not if !!!!) I sit in darkness,
the Lord shall be a light unto me"
Gal 6-9 tells us, " In due season we will reap, if---------"
Some answers don't come and that realisation can either break
you or free you, you can only fully enter into rest, when you
rest from asking 'why'
'Why' causes pain, and sometimes pain is not erased by healing
but remains to teach us to live within in the tender love of the
Lord.

Last night while H and I were praying at the end of my prayer, I
asked in passing that my missing for four days glasses would be
found, we went to my granddaughters for a few hands of cards
last Sunday and I took them, then when I went to find them; MIA,
all avenues of searching revealed diddly squat UNTILL last
night. after praying, H for some reason reached into her already
searched bag, and hooray and up she rises with my glasses in her
hand.
But my elation was quickly abated as Helen played a message from
my friend in Edmonton, saying he was in hospital with brain
cancer, I phoned him this morning and we prayed over the phone,
and I told him that as we prayed for him last night it was like
we were sending burst of healing to his body, the doctors had
told him they were going to have to give him 5 to 7 radiation
treatments, we are believing for 5 burst of healing for him, so
if you feel led to agree with us, his name Daniel. Thanks from
Calgary.
Not sure what happened with your glasses; but I've had
things disappear only to re-appear sometimes in open sight.
Hoping for the best for your friend.
