Sounds like things are getting wild in the Great White North.
Maybe you should take martial arts classes. I ran across this
story about a car jacking in Calgary and wondered how far it was
from where you live.

We got some snow here too; but it only about an inch and the
sidewalk was relatively warm, so I just waited for it to melt.

You got the snow for a white Christmas if it doesn't all melt,
Dave. Here's David Phelps to help get us all in the mood.

How did you do that Kerry just get the song??????
David Phelps, brilliant voice used to be Bill G's right hand
singer, I've often wondered if old Bill G is a, 'my way or the
highway type' it funny most of life's problems seem to stem from
'control' issues.
We may not get "hopefully" fresh snow on THE day!!!!! but it's
always 'white' until about May.
I was having a bit of a chuckle in my non existent beard about
my childhood Christmases, my old Aunt had 11 children, 4 served
and survived the 2WW, the rest ranged down and two were younger
than me but that was where we always had the night before 'the
day' and then 'day' started early with everyone pitching in
after the giving of presents, my Aunt who never confessed to
being christian always said grace before eating and she prayed
for us getting presents; this was a 4 bedroomed council house,
so wall to wall people and 'cuffs' if you got in the way came
with no charge.
Booze was an honour system on her sideboard but she liked to
raise a glass to the King.
"As the non proverb says "God helps those who help themselves
but God help them that gets caught" that principle was in effect
with booze glasses left unattended.
The afternoons allowed for napping, Helen would have had a freak
out, the food was left out on the dining room table for the help
your self service, Xmas cake and pies, plus reheated Xmas pud
padded the supper,
my aunt had a gramophone so it was evening knees up time, which
then brought the neighbours in and us kids got shunted upstairs.
My Aunt was always one for the hanging mistletoe.
Looking in back H and I have been blessed with early Christmas
family times, church time ones and now modern ones where we sit
on the sidelines as the "old' school fossils.
It seems modern Christmases have become very sterile imho or is
this just my maudlin banter as Mike is wont to say or he used
too.

I copy the link, paste it here and then edit out everything
after the &. I'm not sure what that stuff is, but it prevents
the video from showing up here automatically.

Voices can lose something as singers age. Perhaps that's what
happened?

I can do without more snow too. We can all dream of a White
Christmas instead of having one.

I hope sleeping in the afternoon wasn't the result of visiting
the sideboard in the morning.

Most of my recent Christmases have been rather boring. My
Christmas joke this year is saying I hope Border Patrol doesn't
shoot Santa down when he crosses the border from Canada to the
US.
