I have not heard of ‘ Whitstable ‘ - is it on Netflix or BBC ?
Lol , I looked up the film Apollo 13 and one of the astronauts
was called Jack Swigert …..guess the old memory got a bit
confused and crossed wires when you mentioned Jimmy Swaggert
!!!!!!!

The last corner I was involved in was at Bexhill Athletic Club,
first round against a very black American airman.
Greetings from a very festive Calgary stampede week, as usual
sunny, windy, with thunder showers and torrential rain , but
lots of free stampede breakfasts, the Grey Eagle one is $5 but
it is ALL you can eat and a bottomless coffee cup.
There’s also this year a gospel tent meetings close to the
stadium, so I’m praying for a large ingathering.
My recipe for ‘ Down in the Dumps ‘, is a good dose of Adrian
Plass, I’m re,re,re,re-reading his diary, the chapter on doing
street witnessing had me howling, been there and done that,
never took the family Bible though, although my gran had one, I
wonder what happened to it?
Who knows that the Lord doesn’t always give us the desires of
our heart!!! I always wanted a Christian race horse, I once
read the testimony of a Christian jockey and thought it would be
nice if he got to ride a Christian horse. Maybe a touch of
Plassitus😇😇😇.
Well nice too be in touch Mike, ‘isn’t God good to give us so
many blessings’ as the song says.
I pray this site will become all that you want it to be bro.

Hello Dave nice to see you. You're a hoot! :D
I will have to visit your corner often to be cheered up! I once
owned a Christian racehorse, he sat right on my bed with allll
of my other stuffed furries :)

Nancy greetings, our man Mike has done a great job (imho to
quote Twink.)
Oh whoops, I have to go and retrieve a parcel from my daughters
front step, I shall return, as Jesus promised. TBC.

It seems ‘my corner’ has been running, albeit slowly at the back
of the pack, but as we used to say at the stables, ‘heels down
and grip with the knees’
Whilst recovering from fish and chips on the balcony I
remembered a time at Sandown Park racecourse we pulled off a
major fiddle with a horse called Stronghold at a 100 to 8 over
the odds on favourite, funny how things pop into one’s noggin.
I’ve been mulling on Ruth, Naomi and the Boaz triangle in the
book of Ruth, and why one can be amazed at what great length the
Lord will go to fulfill His purpose and also in ours.
Ruth’s husband in his role as a provider for his family takes
off into a foreign land, little knowing Gods handprints are all
over it it, it is sometimes very hard to see the prints when
life’s issues seem to have become a ground zero.
We get the scene of farewell, and goodbye with the daughter in
laws, there’s a good message ‘in cleaving or leaving’
So we have the cleaving Ruth the non Jew but with the testimony
of, your God shall be my God, leaving to go to a new land for
her, with the old bundle of joy, her mum in law.
You all know the end of the story, what the law could not do,
Jesus/Boaz did for us.
Why is it when someone says, any questions I can’t think of
any🙃😇🙃.
Hopefully I shall rise in the
standings🤣😂🤣.

I have just retired from the balcony and while out there, a
gentleman strolled by with shoes on and no socks, and as I’m a
phobic sock wearer, it struck me, would there be socks in
heaven/earth when one dies; when I went to the Dominican
Republic I must admit I was the only sock wearer on the beach in
sandals, but they were my second line of defense against some
nasty foot predator that lies in the sand waiting for the
unfortunate to put their bare foot in their bit of the sand.
Helen broached the question, am I in on a one for all, all for
one thread, or do I just want my little Jack Horner corner? My
reply was ‘I’ll pray about it’ which seemed appropriate as it’s
a diversity Christian site.
That took me to, Bob Mumford, when someone asked him what was
his position on the millennials, pre, mid or post, his reply was
that he took the pan position, whatever pans out.
So I suppose I go with the wisdom of Mr
Mumford😇😇😇.
Pretty much anything that smacks at modern techno leaves me
confused, and funnily enough while mulling on the man with no
socks, I was reading Adrian Plass and in the course of the last
sermon at his church the question was raised, ‘where do we want
go when we die’ the general chorused reply being, heaven, except
one who replied Tenerife, which left Adrian a bit confused as he
really wasn’t into dying quite then, so he trots off to the
Christian book store and finds a cassette entitled, “ Collected
Correctional Courses for Confused Christian’s” I think I will
write and see if he still has it but by then I’m sure the site
will be sailing in calm Watters.

Mike, I could not have written that explanation any better
myself.🤣😂🤣.
I shall wait but not to long, for your short explanation on the
book of the Revelation 🤔🤔🤔.
That was brilliant, and made my evening, thanks Bro.

Dave, I'm not as clever as you think ... I don't even know how
to do your larger smileys.
You must give me a teach-in.

Mike all I can say is, you wear the cloak of modesty and
humility well🙃😇🙃.
Now as to the larger smileys, if you are sitting comfortably I
shall begin,
For my teach-in’ I shall divide it into 3 sections, the first
will comprise of two parts, part A and part B, A being
approached from four perspectives, the most immediate of which
can be sub-divided into two areas, the initial one breaking down
into four main categories, beginning with the multi faceted
topic of larger smileys, the primary facet being contained under
six main headings, so one needs to look at number one from two
points of view, the first consisting of five components, the
commencing item of which falls naturally into seven sections,
starting with a three point introduction to part one of the
opening item in the first stage of the primary point of a six
step procedure for the installing of larger smileys.
Modified from Mr Plass👍👍👍.
To sum up, my larger smileys I can only attribute to
happenstance and Helen.
