God's Love
By: Pat Date: June 29, 2025, 8:24 am
---------------------------------------------------------
I went to church this morning and the preach was about God's
wonderful love for us. I saw this on my other site and thought
it worth sharing.
Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so. The
Bhagavad Gita doesn't and the Vedas (Hinduism) don't, The
Tripitaka or Pali canon don't (Buddhist), The Quran (Islam)
doesn't, the Kojiki and the Nihon Shoki (Shinto) don't,
Animism's oral stories don't, The Analects of Confucius
(Confucianism) don't.
No other 'god' loves.

Pat that reminded me of a graffiti on a London tube wall, some
wag had written “ God is dead”
Nietzsche: and next to it some one else had written, “Nietzsche
is dead -God”

Wow! Good word to glean Pat…agree ,” That will preach”!!!
I must say I had never processed that before.
Not that I have really looked up or studied any other religious
beliefs ( except JW’s and Mormon’s)
The love of God is greater far…. For God so loved …
That is food for musing on today …thx

Oh I like him. He’s a 7th Day isn’t he, but I believe he has a
genuine seeking heart . I’ve enjoyed him over the years..and
he’s not one that argues a lot. It’s the Calvinists I find
harsh , unkind and hard to take as a rule .

I'm a lot wiser these days and don't enter into discussions that
are obviously posted to cause conflict.

Pat have you come across Philippa Hanna she's a Yorkshire lady,
I was wondering what church she's affiliated too, I've tried
looking her up but all I get is her songs and where she's
performing next.

I heard of her and at least one of her songs but I can't
remember what it was called.
Weird as soon as I said that I remembered even though I'd only
heard it once before.

Thanks Pat, one of my Fav's, I sent it to my daughter in Spokane
quite awhile ago, I might have to get her to track down who she
is affiliated with in England. :) :) :) .

Would you believe it, but at this point in time it is 50 posts
and almost a month since we last had a post that was not 'Re:'.
What's happened to the art of 'new topics'?
