Prayer Request

I was out back working in my yard, close to the alley. A man
walked down the alley, and I said hello. He said hi back. I
was not too surprised when some time later he walked down the
alley again in the opposite direction. I was surprised when
walked past a third time but with a woman this time. She was a
little younger than he was; and she had left one strap on her
blouse slip down her arm leaving her shoulder bare. I don't
care for that kind of thing; but I guess women think it's sexy
or something since they've seen famous women doing it. I was
flabbergasted when he walked down the alley a fourth time and
had the woman with him again.
I don't know what was going on, but I had feeling all was not
well. Had she gotten separated from him somehow? Had he been
looking for her and then found her? If that was the case, why
keep walking around? I had an uneasy feeling they had argued and
weren't ready to go home -- if they live together. I think they
both may need prayers. I don't know if they're a couple; but I
know that sometimes couples who love each other can get into
fights and have problems getting over them.
So I ask you all to pray for them and for all couples who love
each other but have problems resolving their differences.

I also ask people to pray for an end of hostilities between Iran
and Israel. I don't pray for either side; both sides seem to me
to have somewhat corrupt governments which tries to become more
popular at home by making each other look bad. So I don't know
what I'm praying for. I just pray for peace and hope more
countries aren't dragged into it the way the US was. Again, I
can't judge whether the US getting involved was justified -- I
just want things to cool down.

I've been praying but like you I don't know what to pray so I
just leave it in God's hands and pray 'Your will be done Lord.'

Agree. like you and Pat , I’ve been praying too! “deliver us
from evil “- there seems to be many evil agendas in the world
right now. Too many kingdom builders .

I have been praying for ‘ Thy will be done on earth as it is in
heaven ‘ for some time as it all seems a mess with
Ukraine/Russia Israel/ Palestinians Israel/ Iran ………….
So many power struggles and it’s impossible to see all
prospectives from our limited vantage points.
So many ordinary people impacted by the hatred that exists in
the world between one another and most of these actions will
perpetuate resentments and anger that will fuel the next
generation to want to take revenge as the younger people grow up
in war zones.
One story takes other stories away from the headlines - but the
suffering in all situations continues……….

Recently Dan and I studied the book of Daniel, the hope that
resounds through the knowledge that God is sovereign over All
Nations and that even though we may not understand the ‘ why ‘
within the calamities of this world , He does. The timings, the
reasons and the end plan.
One thing that struck me in the book was his reason for Kings
dream, to reveal what was in his heart. It wasn’t to allow him
to know the future but to see what those insights would bring to
the surface, it revealed pride and ego.
This thought resonated with me as so often events draw out what
is in our hearts and how we deal with those things. The world is
reacting on an emotional level.
Another thought resonated ‘ Hold every thought captive to the
Lord ‘ this tells me that we should always put distance between
the reaction and the response
Also the spiritual battle was unpacked in this book, how prayers
are heard but responses can often be blocked from being answered
by the opposition within the spiritual realm , so I equally pray
for those angels fighting on our behalf x
I continue to prayer for ‘ Thy will be done on earth as it is in
Heaven ‘

I too pray that line more and more . I like to emphasize the
command rather than a request.
As in - “Thy will BE DONE on earth , as it already is in heaven.
“
There is so much power in prayer . Half the time I think we
forget that. Jesus said “My words are spirit and life “ ….. and
when we yield , God speaks through us in this world.
To God be the glory!
