Why aren't some people getting their children vaccinated in Alb
       erta?

I was surprised by this story about measles in Alberta. Are
people afraid of vaccination? Is it against their religion? Do
they simply forget it? We have a problem with measles in
several areas of the US with various reasons in different areas.

Measles is surging in Alberta. Which vaccine-preventable disease
       could be next?
  HTML https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/measles-is-surging-in-alberta-which-vaccine-preventable-disease-could-be-next-1.7560747
Whooping cough is already another problem. Experts are thinking
now that polio might take off again.

I have always found it strange that parents choose not to
vaccinate against measles, more so when they know that a child’s
immune system takes time to develop.
Wonder if it’s all the hype and conspiracy around the
       pharmaceutical companies over the years.
Back in the day we never even considered not vaccinating our
       children.
You would think that the increase in cases, and the fact that a
few children have died, would be warning enough to protect. They
obviously believe that they are protecting their children in
some way by not giving the vaccines.

dangerous. Maybe they have people in Canada who believe that.
I find it very odd that our Secretary of Health here, Robert F
Kennedy, Jr., has such strange views about some things. He
wasn't that worried about the dangers of heroin when he was
shooting that up; but now he worries about vaccination?

I do remember him being opposed to the vaccinations during

As measles vaccinations are not mandatory and the media having
nothing better to do than emphasise we have 900 cases among a
population of 1 and a half million but we murder more daily at
abortion clinics than by measles deaths that people now take as
       the norm.
It would be interesting to see the statistics on the
nationalities of those who caught the measles, people are
complacent until----, then it's the blame game.
Alberta is probably what is termed a 'red neck' province, they
like guns and fear control by the federal government.
And here we are under restrictions while the G 7 plot and plan
       for the future.

I don't understand him at all. Not slamming heroin users or
past users since I've had friends who had been addicted to
heroin; but it does damage the brain, and too much abuse can
severely damage it permanently; and I suspect he may have
       serious brain damage.
I found out Alberta was having trouble with Covid vaccinations
too. That involved migrant workers. It seems the government
was not insisting that all migrant workers be vaccinated. From
       2021:
  HTML https://rabble.ca/health/migrant-farmworkers-left-out-albertas-vaccination-rollout-says-activist-group/<br
/> That makes me wonder if a few unvaccinated migrants carried
measles into Alberta which then spread to unvaccinated
       Canadians.

So what's the point of having children if parents and the

My quick response would be - “ because of all the hype about
Autisum and Aspburgers ( sp) found in young toddlers who got
the shots ! Too many to be unrelated.

Originally children were never designed for the Government to
       take care of them.
Neither were Governments designed to take care of illegal's at
the expense of their own people by a health care system
overwhelmed thru mis management and Pharma' greed, Mr Fauci and
our Chinese lady here are a moot point, both now counting ill
       gotten gains I think.
At least we still are democratic enough to let people choose for
their children about vaccines. I see that choice being taken
over by control and funnily it always is supposed to turn out
       for our "good"
As an interesting aside, in Jesus time of ministry He was never
bothered by the politic's that happened around him, He came to
       do His Fathers will.
Kerry it's interesting to read your views, mainly because you
remind me of my old 'scientific' squash buddy.
Thanks for wheez on Air Force One and blame the Clintons for
your health minister drug lapse LoL.

[/quote]It looks to me as if both the federal and the Albertan
government are weary of it all. The federal government said now
that they won't be paying for the Covid shots. Premier Smith
said they threw away over a million doses before.
According to provincial data, 368 Albertans have died due to
COVID-19 and there have been more than 3,000 hospitalizations
since the end of August 2024.
The federal government, which had been paying for the COVID-19
vaccines, is no longer doing so. Until its announcement on
Friday, the Alberta government had been tight-lipped about how
it would handle coverage moving forward.
Premier Danielle Smith addressed the COVID-19 vaccine policy
changes on her weekend radio program Your Province, Your
       Premier.
On that show she said the province threw away over a million
doses of the COVID-19 vaccine "because people just don't want to
get the vaccine [at] the same rate as others."
