Kerry I want out of the ‘in’ thing, Helen has me on a diet which
is turning out worse than the gout, it mainly consist of ‘fresh
air’ and copious amounts of water but coffee stays on
👍👍👍.
Strange how pain can affect us mentally. A dog which
loves you might bite you if it's in pain. I expect people in
pain to be grumpy at times.
I drink lots of coffee. Maybe that's what's protecting me from
gout? My doctor wants me to drink a gallon of water a day; I'm
lucky if I can get down more than a quart.
Fresh air? When I go out to work in the garden, I often start
sneezing and my noses starts running. For a while, I thought it
was a reaction to pollen; but the other day I went out right
after it rained and the same things happened. My new theory is
that being cooped up most of the day in my house isn't that
healthy, and the fresh air is cleaning my lungs out.

It was me that said it seems to be 'in thing' as so many people
I know are getting diagnosed with it. I think doctors must all
get the same medical journal and jump on things to diagnose. At
one practice I used to belong to their nurse/ office manager/
doctor's wife told me that they don't get paid for each
individual patient but that they get paid for how many they
treat with asthma or in my case it was sending of a skin scrape
for a biopsy. So I take don't take all diagnoses too seriously.
I get called to an asthma review every year and yet I was told
by the consultant at the hospital that my condition is not
asthma.

Apologies Pat, It's my failing to properly diagnose who is
writing, half the time I think it's the 'quote' because it's at
the top. ::)
Pat here they get a set fee for every visit and for a 15 min's
phone consultation, I think many are more skilled in pill
dispensing than knowing what's wrong with one But thank God we
can still have access to them.
One of my Fav shows was the "Blood donor" one by Tony Hancock ;D
;D ;D
Pat my favourite Doc was the man from the Congo a dermatologist,
and allergy specialist who offered me the three choice
special,60 tests,90 test and the 120 super bundle.
I went for his advice not to eat a whole packet of dried
Cranberries again.
I shared that Helen and I nearly went to Malawi as missionaries,
then that I had a mate who trained mercenaries for the Congo
conflict that rescued some nuns, a very interesting gentleman.
My grand daughter is doing a four year nurses thing, I told her
about my swollen toe, she told her dad who's a surgeon so it's
kept in the family as it were.
My 'fresh air' comment was relative to the diet having more that
I can't have than what I can.
Kerry, you might like this, my old aunt Alice was a char lady
for a posh Jewish gentleman a Sir something Goldsmith in the
West End of London, he also had a live in nanny from Scotland
and one day he handed my aunt a stash of cash, evidently he had
been blacklisted on the stock market but made an investment
using my aunts and the nannies names and being a good Jew he
rewarded them with 10% of his earnings, my aunt told me the
nanny was able to buy a car with hers.
Kerry do you drink your coffee black?
If ones is a piece of haddock today it is conducive for being
smoked weather wise!!!!
That's a great story! That man sounds like quite a
character. Did your aunt have to pay income taxes on that money
or was it done on the black market? I don't know that works in
England.
I put milk in my coffee. Sometimes I do tea; and I like that
without milk or sugar.

Sorry to hear that your gout hasn’t sorted itself out yet Dave,
I wish I could remember the medication they gave my dad as it
cleared it up within 48hours, also it affected more than just my
dads big toe.
I get moments where my feet just stiffen with pain, very
randomly. This can last from a few moments to 15-20 mins. I went
to a physio and there is nothing wrong with my circulation and
he said it could because of my footwear - most of the time I
wear Sketchers. This happens so randomly that it doesn’t make
sense thats it’s what I am wearing, sometimes it happens when I
have nothing on my feet !!
I started to drink black coffee when I was in Germany. It was
quite nice. Got use to drinking black tea since being on
intermittent fasting. I think I prefer it to tea with milk now,
although I still drink it with milk from time to time.
Fruit tea - found my favourite Cranberry and vanilla x
Xx
