the previous day, why didn't they ship more in? If that was the
USA, people would be suing them since they promised free refills
when fans bought a bottle for £5. People were cheated if you
ask me. Secondly, why adhere so firmly to a rule about not
closing the roof except when it rains when according to the
article they have air conditioning that operates when the roof
is closed? I would think the people who collapsed could sue
Wimbledon for having such a rule and being so inflexible.

I don’t know about the supply of water, I had not heard about
the shortage and that didn’t come out during the live program.
As for the roof, It’s Wimbledon with all its rules ect and I do
know that having the roof across is not liked by some players

No, they didn’t mention it on the live streaming was watching. I
think I agree with Kerry, that they knew it was going to be
really hot so you think they would have forward planned for it.
I suspect there were people running around like headless
chickens behind the scenes, in panic mode !

I haven't been around for a while but I had such a great time
last night I just wanted to tell somebody. I was with my
daughter and grandson who is 27. We first enjoyed fish and
chips and a glass of wine in Bolton's poshest chip restaurant
followed by a couple of hours at a show which was called 'Oh
What a Night' a tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons -
the Jersey Boys. It was wonderful and from the start the
audience was encourage to join in and sing and dance. The three
of us were buzzing when we came out. I can't remember when I've
enjoyed a night out so much.

So what is your favorite Frankie Valli song? I think maybe mine
is, "I Can't Take My Eyes off You."

Pat congrats sounds like a very fun evening, Cod or Haddock at
the 'posh' fish shop?
I'll have to listen to Kerry post as I'm not familiar with
Frankie Valli, I bet you had to dust off the old mini for that
show.LoL.
Just listened to Frankie V he wouldn't have been Helen choice,
not enough Be bop.
She wasn't into crooners. ;) ;) ;)

I had cod and chips and peas and a glass of sauvignon blanc
while chatting to my family with live piano music played on the
grand piano. Told you it was posh!
Frankie Valli was the lead singer of the Four Seasons who are in
the rock and roll hall of fame.
They started out in 1956 while I was still at school, long
before the era of the mini skirt. And were never really on my
radar back then but I know most of their songs.

Pat nice pairing, a white Sauvignon with Cod a flavour puller
for the fish.
Regular peas or mushy? Here the home town fav' is cold slaw
with fish and chips I just go for a lemon slice. Next time try
a Riesling with Cod.
'56 I was in Cyprus; Forces Radio was still playing Eartha
Kitt, Billie Holiday and my fav'June Christy.
THEN came Elvis and Rock around the clock!!!!!!!!
