Looks like the sites gone dormant again. Every time I've come
here in the last few days there's been hardly any action.

Seems so Pat . They do usually go in waves …. I’m hoping that
this is just the Ebb before the Flow! One can hope so.

You could post a few things to see if others are interested.
Many others could be in the same boat you are, waiting for
       others to start things.
I ran across a strange situation last week. I had crushed some
eggshells and buried them -- or tried to but I left a few tiny
       bits above the ground.  In the past, I had composted eggshells;
but they didn't decay as fast as other stuff so that wasn't
working too well for me. So I'm weeding the lawn and spotted an
ant carrying one of the bits of eggshells. Have you or anyone
else seen such a thing? I tried to research it on the internet.
Some sites said ants were scared of eggshells and recommended
them to keep ants out of an area. I can't believe that. Others
implied they might use bits to help build their nests. What do
       you think?
I also found that eggshells can be good food for birds,
especially female birds who love the calcium. You wash them,
crush them and then bake for ten minutes at 250 degrees. Some
people add them to birdseed. That would be a problem for me
since the squirrels would invade; and I don't know if I want a
hanging birdfeeder -- clever squirrels could still find a way to
get at the seeds. So I plan on putting the crushed, baked
shells in areas where I already have wild strawberries as ground
cover. Birds love them, so they should find the eggshells if
       near by, I'd think.

But it wouldn't have worked if few, if any, other members had

I try to post most times I log in, even if it is just a few
words. Usually on this thread though as I'm a bit confused
       about where else to post.

I agree , any few lines from us , at least allows the others to
know that we are still alive! :)

[/quote]I don't pay much attention to who's online now or who's
logged in lately. Perhaps some people log out when they leave
and return to read posts but don't log in unless they want to
post. The time zones matter too since other people could be up
       and about while I'm sleeping.

I usuallu have a look each time I use my laptop which I do more
than once a day. I don't always have something to say though,
       specially if I already posted.

Like the poet Wordsworth who shot an arrow into the air, I fired
a post on Pats place, it fell to earth I not where.
I had an old Asian neighbour who had a miniscule garden plot
that he plants every year and he is a great believer in the
eggshell garden, as it was new to me I asked him why, his reply
"Good for garden" end of the 'why question'.
For those who like first and last mention of scripture, Ants are
only mentioned twice, both times in Proverbs, in Prov 6 the
admonition is, Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways,
       and be 'wise'.
then in 30 " There be four which are little upon the earth, but
       they are exceeding wise"
The wise four; ants, rabbits, locusts and Helen's fav spiders
       Lol.
It says that ants, a people not strong yet they prepare their
meat in the summer, this is their exceeding wisdom.
Which teaches us that the race we run is not a sprint, I think
Paul only had one vision but he stayed in the race for the sake
of others, the ant shows us the strength of helping one another,
the value of community and that life faces numerous challenges
and laying down ones own life for another, is a great pearl.
There was a sermon on unity titled, 'A sermon on six legs"
