“Who does not know that our most sorrowful days have been
amongst our best? When the face is wreathed in smiles and we
trip lightly over meadows bespangled with spring flowers, the
heart is often running to waste.
The soul which is always blithe and gay misses the deepest life.
It has its reward, and it is satisfied to its measure, though
that measure is a very scanty one. But the deepest depths, is
undeveloped; and life presently burns down to its socket without
having known the resonance of the deepest chords of joy.”
On the darkest of days , we look heavenward for the tiniest
patch of blue.

Bless you Helen
Mike xx

This for all you English and the rest who have prayed for us
over the years, I wanted to let you know how blessed we are in
our 42 abode, packing up was mostly done by my first wife :) :)
:) and moving the big stuff by those with more umph than me.
To see Helen's interests perk up is a blessing in itself, our
old place was hills in every direction but here we have a lovely
flat green space for her to walk and regain strength, we have
two rabbits that feed on my son in laws planted onions in the
evening I haven't heard them groaning and travelling after
feeding yet, so must be a mild variety.
We are also blessed with many sparrows and we haven't seen any
fall to the ground, tomorrow we have a couple of sisters (not
related) paying us a visit, one who is a survivor of brain
tumours and our other friend who's brother and daughter had
surgeries and now are found with cancer and are having radiation
treatment, pray the Lord will anoint us with a supernatural
wisdom.
To see Mikes site enlarging it's borders, and breaking bread
with 'old' bros is part of the goodness of God imho.

Praying for Mike as he endeavours to take a step back, may The
Lord sustain you in this season of life and help you in any way
you may need it. Thanks be to God who knows us each by name and
equally knows everything about us as individuals.
May you find rest under His wings xx

Oh I had no idea that Mike was “stepping back” ……..Yes , I am
joining you in prayer for him Rita .
Mike has been a good soldier, and happy forum builder lo these
many years !
I’m sure he will hear the “good and faithful servant “ declared
Amen.
God says in His Word that He “will be with us in old age …”
He will hold our hand till the end of this journey ….
Then, at the end of our path, we will shed our very old and
worn coats , and skip happing into the next world!
Love wins…….always .

I can't resist reading as 'Guest' every time I open my laptop.
And this time seeing such an abundance of friendly responses I
couldn't resist logging in and posting.
There's no better medicine for my failing physicality.
It think I'll push my luck and see if I can set me up with a
Ghost membership.
So, if you see 'Charlie' as a new member you'll know it's me,
without admin or moderator status.

I did wonder if you would be able to stay away Mike, only
because I tried to do the same thing when I was struggling as a
moderator. I decided to take a sabbatical from the role , for me
it lasted only a few days as I found myself checking in as a
guest.
It’s not that easy to detach from, not sure if it is curiosity,
addiction, or a need to connect in some way - never have been
able to work it out.

Due to my Alzhiemers, Which messes with my ability to spell, I
have been utterly unable to jump through the endless digital
hoops required to set up a 'Charlie account via a new email
account.
I surrender.
