Our faithful, unchangeable, friend
His Love is as great as His Power
And knows neither measure nor end."

Years ago I first heard that in a Brethren assembly.
They claimed that it was the Brethren's signature Hymn.

There's only two verses so here's the second.
’Tis Jesus the first and the last,
Whose Spirit shall guide us safe home,
We’ll praise Him for all that is past,
And trust Him for all that’s to come.

Had some good times with the Bexhill Plymouth Bro’s at their
Bible study group.
One of the New Frontiers church leaders was an ex Plymouth
Brethren. As one is wont to say “back in the day”

I've just woken up at 6 am with lots of thoughts.
The first is that "Yesterday is past and gone, tomorrow may
never be mine, which leaves me with nought but the present,
which is called 'The Present' because it is God's 'GIFT'.
Use it well to 'Hallow our Father's name and to Pray that His
kingdom will come and his will may be done, on earth as it is in
heaven'

New every morning is the love
Our wakening and uprising prove;
Through sleep and darkness safely brought,
Restored to life, and power, and thought.
New mercies, each returning day,
Hover around us while we pray;
New perils past, new sins forgiven,
New thoughts of God, new hopes of heaven.
If on our daily course our mind
Be set to hallow all we find,
New treasures still, of countless price,
God will provide for sacrifice.
The trivial round, the common task,
Would furnish all we ought to ask,
Room to deny ourselves, a road
To bring us daily nearer God.
Only, O Lord, in thy dear love
Fit us for perfect rest above;
And help us this and every day
To live more nearly as we pray.

“Who does not know that our most sorrowful days have been
amongst our best? When the face is wreathed in smiles and we
trip lightly over meadows bespangled with spring flowers, the
heart is often running to waste.
The soul which is always blithe and gay misses the deepest life.
It has its reward, and it is satisfied to its measure, though
that measure is a very scanty one. But the deepest depths, is
undeveloped; and life presently burns down to its socket without
having known the resonance of the deepest chords of joy.”
On the darkest of days , we look heavenward for the tiniest
patch of blue.
