I forgot the part about thorn and thistles. In Genesis, we see
Adam being promised thorns and thistles when he was farming. At
the Crucifixion, we see Jesus crowned with thorns -- and he
converted those thorns to the Crown of Life.

My dad used to read us a lot of AA Milne books and poems .
Today on reading all the posts on here …which obviously took me
much longer than
usual..

I was reminded of the shipwrecked sailor …he needed a hat for
the sun , and he needed some britches , he need a shelter , but
he needed some food , he needed some tools and he needed a bed
..he just couldn’t decide which to do first …so he just did
nothing at all! ;D
He just decided to sit down on the beach under a tree and waited
to be rescued!!!
I could relate to his plight today.
There are so many great subject to pick up on…I am musing on
where to start grabbing it! x

This grumpy old man hardly knows where and how to express my
sheer uplifting delight for the wonderful wisdom and fellowship
which we are now enjoying.
I am becoming increasingly bedridden and I haven't got much else
to lift my spirits.
God bless you all for coming to my rescue.

Haha…we have so many great subjects mentioned in this one thread
. I am thinking this needs a thread of its own.
I don’t believe that any of us have yet eaten of the tree of
life , as we are still bone and blood.
We have drunk of the living water , and have ‘ tasted and seen
that indeed He is good’ …yet …
I believe as Rev shows , The Tree of Life is in the Heavenly
City , yet to come.
I could be wrong
HTML https://emoji.tapatalk-cdn.com/emoji3.png
[/quote]It sounds right to me. The parallels between Genesis and
Revelation astound me. The subject might be worth a thread of
its own. John's insights astound me too. It took me a very long
time to read Revelation by the way. I kept stopping to compare
passages that weren't clear to me to other passages in the
Bible.
You know how Catholics enjoy relics; but there are none of John.
When they opened the tomb where it is said he was buried, they
found nothing. I can't say I understand it perfectly; but John
drops some very interesting clues as to why that might be
possible.
The lesson I draw from our discussions in this thread is that
our flaws are not permanent. Some can be corrected in this
life, perhaps some need to be corrected later.

My pittance on 'forgiveness' pales in the light of the good
stuff here.
I wonder on it's actual significance in the body of Christ for
today, is it just a 'soul' washing exercise?
As you reach for a stone, did the law end and it's rituals with
it at the cross?
On the cross Jesus prays "Father forgive them, for they do not
know what they are doing"
In the natural they knew very well what they were doing, so why
did it bring that response from Jesus a 'forgiveness' prayer.
Adam and his wife do not get the same response from the Lord,
only judgement, so can one concluded theirs hands were found
conclusively in the 'cookie jar'.
And their 'free will' opened God's original Plan for the 'man'
he had created!!!
At the cross we see the Plan that they did not know, but that it
would come to a full conclusion and and a full forgiveness would
come for all.
A personal working out of 'personal needs' in the areas of
forgiveness is still applicable it seems.GtG feed bag time.

Beware ,

King David
caused a mighty plague to come on Israel after he ‘counted the
number ‘ after God , through Nathan the prophet , warned him not
to.
But I’m very happy to see you rejoice my friend ….when one
rejoices we all rejoice.
Hugs …H x
