Rita, a nice corner posts reads this morning, I'm T' and
toasting and watching the geese fly over the house, there is a
much maligned saying here that one 'is bird brained' but from my
observation from the least to the biggest, they are pretty
smart; those flying geese have leadership and a plan, wish our
       country could say the same.
The house next door has a 50+ft fir in it, it provides food for
a whole variety of the bird kingdom summer and winter and a
shelter, as neither rain or snow make it to the center core.
It's good to know that 'we are trees of the Lord'
Yes Hockey is up and going, I've watched two games, they have
'played' in seven, this is where I fill the story up with
christian expletives, lost the first 7-1 lost the last 3-0 and
have only won one in between. I thought I might be putting a
christian jinx on them by watching, so never watched and they
still lose!!!!! Oh and to boot, our star player gets injured and
is out for an indefinite time period, BUT tonight I shall take
my bag of chips and like it or lump it, and shall endure come
       what may, and watch.
I have this brilliant cabinet InsL-X enamel paint, gives a car
finish to wood furniture with a small knap roller and dries
quickly, 'prep' is always the key to a good finish, now that
       will preach!!!
That reminded me of when in England, we painted a mates van by
brush on a hot day and just as we finished and as we stepped
back too admire, a huge cloud of gnats descended and joined the
wet paint, probably the first textured van finish of the time.
Helen and I are now travelling through the book of Joshua,
starts well with bashing all the 'ittes but we are jumping a few
chapters as it gets bogged down with with who gets what in the
land, and they are still at it to this day.
I expect your daughter is excited about your impending move,
it's oft quoted on secular TV that the "Lord moves in mysterious
ways, His wonders to perform" a seven way move is to me
mysterious, so look out Rita there must be wonders to be
       performed.
IS the "knee" the key to some of those wonders????
On a different track, on F B there's this Irish chef Kevin
Dundon, a funny guy but he has some good recipes, so yesterday I
did his smashed pot's and chicken dish, no chicken, so
substituted turkey, brilliant, if I say so myself; so lunch
today is L O's and I'm already salivating.
Our weather is dismal, overcast, snow on the ground, can't see
       the mountains for low cloud
a good reason to be thankful, Bill Johnson wrote, 'If God
inhabits our praise, who inhabits the rest?????
Well its time to gird up the apron and get our lunch,
       yummy,yummy.xxx

Reading this takes me back to the challenges of trying to move,
and cope with a bad knee and work - and ‘ relax ‘ all sorted -
what a difference 18months makes xxxxx
Still have decorating downstairs to do, having a break this
year. I have fences to paint, and chairs and table to sand down
       - that’s the summer job. Also a shed to put up !
