Why worry about not being able to "ever cause a horse to drink"?
When you can't even "lead it to the water"?

Dave, where would we be without you spreading both oats and salt
around the perimeter of our pool?

To which Helen added "It seems to just be “the way of forums “
these days …
Looks like our day , is over",..
Coincidentally, James has just posted on his site and here's my
reply to him....
Hi James
Here you are breaking your resolve to "suspend" this site and
leave it as a memorial to its earlier popularity, at a time
when, having started up an alternative, I am wondering whether
my new site might not soon also join the ranks of the 'Has
beens'.
Having rapidly amassed an 11 strong, enthusiastic membership,
submitting well over 20 posts and replies per day, it has
steadily declined to a couple of members making only the
occasional daily input.
Perhaps we should create a dual set-up whereby, when one of the
two sites dwindles, a common membership automatically switches
to the other.
Would that keep the membership 'fresh and proactive'? .... I
doubt that it would.
Not at a time when 'Revelation' prophesy (Rev 13:16-17) is being
fulfilled, with laptop forums having given way to devices which
have been implanted in mankind's foreheads, without which
mankind also cannot even "buy or sell" (the "Mark of the
Beast"?).
LET US GIRD UP OUR LOINS

In the words of the song
"What a diff'rence a day makes.
Only 24 hours"
Only yesterday I was bemoaning the lack of posts, and now we
have an unbelievably uplifting (and enlightening) load of posts
from Dave, Pat, and Nancy.
God Bless you all for lifting the spirits of a lonely old man.

God bless you! And thank you for this forum. Membership is
small, but that allows an intimacy that is quite nice.

That was nice of Nancy, this is mano, mano stuff Mike; I took my
car in for a valve replacement thingy, how something that small
could be that expensive is a further mystery to what arise's
from garages but what amused me most was the service admin' as I
was slumped weeping profusely at the counter, he seemed to think
that informing me that they had 'topped up' my windshield fluid
and washed the vehicle was some sort of consultation prize.
This is my borrowed from Nancy bit, thanks for all the time you
have put in and you and Christine have a blessed week. Dave. GtG
squash time.
