At our age , none of us enjoy change Mike .
A friend of our went into a Care Home and loved it, she love
the speaker that they had in on a Wednesday afternoon. She
loved meeting new neighbours and visiting with them in their
rooms. She loved meeting new people and the excellent food.
Twice a week there were trips out to either shopping or pretty
places . There was nothing that she didn’t enjoy. Praying the
same for you if indeed things come to that. Praying also for
poor Christine …bless her ,…she has fought a good fight thus far
. Praying the very best for you both. .
xx

You both are in my prayers, Mike.
I was talking to my youngest sister earlier; and she mentioned
this song, asking if I remembered it. Yes, I did; and I wanted
to hear it again. The "style" of music may not be what you're
used to -- but I like it since it reminds me to focus on the
City we are all aiming for.

Mike glad to hear reinforcements are flying in, all the way from
France, as they used to say about preachers more miles, more
power.
Is the care home thing on the menu because Christine will not be
able to function as before, the gas thing is a bit troubling,
the “ I fly away “ might become a reality.
Are you able to visit with Christine or is that not feasible.
Well bro blessings and prayers for you both, my days of running
through a troop and leaping the wall are just a dim memory now.

Hi Mike
With everything that is happening would it not be better for you
to have your needs met as well. It cannot be much fun being in a
constant environment that is creating problems, and issues of
safety. The pressure will be off of you and on the shoulders of
others, while you will have companionship and company. There
will be those around you to help you through all that you face.
You have persevered and I am amazed at what you and Christine
have been able to endure, but perhaps it’s just time to have a
bit of a break from holding it all together and get the care you
deserve xxxxxxx

With the business of just living one can feel forgotten, and I
had a reminder this morning, I was taking the dog before it got
to hot I had just crossed the road and reached the sidewalk,
when two sparrows appeared on low chainlink fence, it was like I
was eyeball to eyeball with them and that scripture came to
mind,' though a sparrow falls-----' and I was reminded then of
the Fathers love and kindness and that we are never forgotten.
In the midst of trials Mike you are not one who's been
forgotten.

I love Mahalia Jackson's version of that song. I hear and see
birds often when out working in the yard -- and they remind me
of this song. Mike may not see birds much -- but we all need to
remember God is watching over us -- even if it sometimes doesn't
feel that way.

Who has heard of the 'Vagus nerve' not me, our 'fruit and nut
friend' says a malfunction with this nerve leads to a multitude
of health issues
But good news; singing is very healthy to address Vagus
problems, so H and I have now dug out an old chorus book from a
past era, and are croaking away to a Vagus recovery, our major
distress is we each think we remember how the tune goes.
I don't think we will be going public but think what it is doing
for the longest nerve in ones body.
Hopefully Mike things are on the up and up with additional help,
greetings from Calgary's croaking duet.

I have heard of the vagus nerve; but it was so long ago, I don't
remember anything about it.
