Jesus may have hinted at it.
John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold:
them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there
shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
I believe they are still not yet completely one; but there are
other religions do not conflict with Christianity in the least.
I think Jesus taught them in other ways. I do not believe God
loved only the Jews or only Christians.
There were the fallen angels, the ones which set themselves up
as gods over the nations. I believe some of their influence was
cut off at the Crucifixion. They sent a form of corrupted light
to keep people in bondage; and when that influence was cut off,
there was darkness for a while over the whole earth until a new
Light appeared in the Heavens. I don't read this to mean
physical darkness.
Luke 23:44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a
darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent
in the midst.
The new sun was the Sun of Righteousness with healing in his
wings.
Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of
righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go
forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
I believe the veil was also a spiritual veil in the spiritual
Temple in Heaven. Men and women had easier access.

God is working his purpose out as year succeeds to year,
God is working his purpose out and the time is drawing near;
Nearer and nearer draws the time, the time that shall surely be,
When the earth shall be filled with the glory of God as the
waters cover the sea.

Jesus bids us shine,
With a clear, pure light,
Like a little candle burning in the night;
In this world of darkness, we must surely shine,
You in your small corner,
And I in mine

Thanks Mike, a good reminder as my candle sometimes gets a
little smoky and stands in need of a trim with the nastiness of
todays happening.

Re: Mike's Corner (Deism)

Deism is the belief, based solely upon logic and observation
while rejecting any supernatural speculation, that a Supreme
Being or God created the universe. As a philosophical position
and rationalistic theology that rejects prophecies, revelations,
and religious texts as legitimate or reliable sources of divine
knowledge, Deism instead asserts that empirical reason and
observation of the natural world are exclusively logical,
reliable, and sufficient to determine the existence of a creator
God.
Unlike classical theism, many Deists believe in the existence of
a creator God who only intervenes, on limited and particularly
significant occasions, after having originally created the
universe. Fundamentally, Deism emphasizes the concept of natural
theology—that is, God's existence is revealed through nature
itself.
Since the 17th century, and during the Age of Enlightenment,
various Western philosophers and theologians formulated a
critical rejection of the several religious texts belonging to
the many organized religions, and began to appeal only to truths
that they felt could be established by reason as the exclusive
source of divine knowledge. Such philosophers and theologians
were called "Deists", and the philosophical/theological position
they advocated is called "Deism"

Mike I remember Bo Diddley !! so who is this Diddley squat?
If that was the sum total of those who pontificated in the
17century, they should have got a proper job imho (as Twink
would say).
I'll stick with "In the beginning GOD -----------" and the
invisible became clearly seen by the things that HE made" even
His Son Jesus.
Is it still the 'called' and the fried in the U K, we are
cooking here at +27c better than my old Army mate who lives in
Spain.
I wonder when the cutting starts on the stone in the
mountain?????

Awful news.
Christine carted off to hospital with prognosis that worsens by
the hour. Latest is that it may be 72 hours before they can say
whether she can continue to self administer paliative care at
home and I fear for the alternative.

The Hospital must have grave uncertainty and now forecast a
further 48 hrs
My son and daughter are flying over from France on Friday and
staying for a week....I'm in such a mess of leaving taps on and
flooding the bathroom, leaving gas ring on in the kitchen,
getting in muddle with my medication etc.
There's thoughts on whether I should go into a care Home
