More recently I've been constantly repeating the "Lord's Prayer"
as a means of spiritual uplift, but I now make it more personal
by using the 'First person singular' in my prayer (using 'my'
instead of 'our', and 'me' instead of 'us' etc.)
For some reason it has caused me to think deeply on the
difference between 'Flesh' and 'Spirit'.
When I die (Mortally) my flesh returns to dust.
All that remains being my Spirit (which at some time or another)
moves into the state of 'refinement by fire' as a result of
which, to varying degrees we each end up being "Saved, yet so as
through Fire" (Corinthians).
The 'degree of variation' for every person being accommodated by
the "many Mansions that comprise the Father's House" in the New
Jerusalem.
I reckon I need no further theology in terms of my "daily bread"
leaving me to concentrate on living a life of 'deepest Love' by
"forgiving those that 'Sin' against me, to the precise degree of
which I can expect God's forgiveness of my 'Sinful [b]acts'
against Him[/b]" (The 'Nature' of Sin having been "done away"
(Hebrews) by the sacrifice of Christ (the incarnate God)
Only one thing completes my living, and that is to "Hallow God's
name" in constant worship, and to ask "not to be led astray by
temptation, but to be delivered from evil"
All of which comes from my constant prompting as I repeat the
"Lord's Prayer".

Amen to that Mike! It ‘made my day’… I will join you in this.
I know Amadeus always prayed this prayer daily. I never have ,
other than when at school.
I do says Psalm 91 daily I used to be able to quote it with no
faults , now I sometimes get a line in the wrong place.
I too pray it in the first person also.

I used to recite the Lord's Prayer aloud and slowly, focusing on
the meaning of each phrase.
Dust to dust? That's why I wanted to be cremated. Not everyone
will think the way I do; but I dislike embalming since it seems
to be resisting the idea of returning to dust. If it's Heaven's
degree we return to dust, I want to encourage it.
Last month, I called a crematorium and a representative came to
my house. We arranged all the details and I paid for it. I feel
relieved now. It also takes a burden off my family. When I go,
they won't need to pay for it or arrange anything.

I don't think dust was the forum's origination, so I won't
resort to cremation for it's apparent demise. :(

Apologies, I been absent without; we were spending time with my
daughter who was up from Spokane for a shower party,then we had
our first serious snow fall, 600 wrecks in 24 hours, body shops
were rubbing their hands with glee!!!!!
I joined the Asian Cul de Sac shovelers, and through an
interpreter I earned "a well done"
This was after shovelling my daughters 3 car garage area and
ours at the back, my snowblower freezes up when the snow is wet
and heavy, I fired it up and it was true to itself, a solid
block of ice in the impeller area.
Any thoughts of the context of these verses in Jeremiah 4 vs's
23,24,25, and 26, all commencing with
" I beheld--------"

I believe that prophecy of Jeremiah was already fulfilled. I
can't say I grasp it all though.

Interesting that you see Jer 4 full-filled I'm still ruminating.
I've often wondered what was in the mind of the O T prophets
when they prophesy, futuristic events.
Oh Whoops time to brave the elements once more.
Hope you are all giving thanks in ALL things, easy to write but
a bit different when facing life's challenges, but one can seem
to find a song for all seasons !!!!!!!!!

Fulfilled prophecies should interest us since they often show
patterns which can be repeated.
