       Blessings Nancy …💞
I’m still musing on Lazareth, Martha and Mary …
“ "When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two
days still in the same place where he was."
What a startling "therefore"! He abstained from going, not
because He did not love them, but because He did love them. His
love alone kept Him back from hasting at once to the dear and
stricken home. Anything less than infinite love must have rushed
instantly to the relief of those loved and troubled hearts, to
stay their grief and to have the luxury of wiping and stanching
their tears and causing sorrow and sighing to flee away. Divine
love could alone hold back the impetuosity of the Savior's
tender-heartedness until the Angel of Pain had done her work.
Who can estimate how much we owe to suffering and pain? But for
them we should have little scope for many of the chief virtues
of the Christian life. Where were faith, without trial to test
it; or patience, with nothing to bear; or experience, without
       tribulation to develop it?

Helen, That bible story is truly amazing. Everyone thought
Jesus had failed his friends. But Jesus was biding His time to
teach them the life-giving power of God. Time may seem to
defeat us, but Jesus knew how to leave an everlasting mark on
the world in 33 short years of "life" as we know it.
I wonder sometimes about Lazarus: Did he "die" a second time,
old and tired and grey? Or, already resurrected from death, was
he whisked away to heaven at some point? Might he still walk
among us? Just how much "life" was given to Lazarus when Jesus
       finally came to them?
Are there any clues anyone has heard of? Perhaps in the
       Apocrypha?

I remember the Lord showing me, way back when one morning; that
HE was the resurrection and the life and it blew me away that HE
wasn't dead, what happened to those morning revelations'?
Now it's where did I leave my socks, and the 'revelation' now
is, can I get them on!!!!!! ;)
       [/quote]
I was just musing on the revelation that after I've been
sitting, I can't move for a long, embarrassing moment when I
stand back up, because this incredible stiffness seizes my body
and I'm, perhaps, like a pillar of salt? If I keep moving, I do
well, but where did gracefulness and fluidity go?
Adam is only 46. I try to hide such things from him, lol, but
how many excuses can I give for just standing there with a blank
look on my face when he says, "Come on"?! Granted, his elbows
and one shoulder often give him trouble from hauling heavy beams
and such, but ... no matter how many people THINK he and I are
matched in age, my body likes to laugh at that little notion.
We can try to hide it, but the years have their say!

This I am sure is not an everyday occurrence in the Christian
       life!
       Quote-
“ I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me (Acts
       27:25).”
I went to America some years ago with the captain of a steamer,
who was a very devoted Christian. When off the coast of
Newfoundland he said to me, "The last time I crossed here, five
weeks ago, something happened which revolutionized the whole of
       my Christian life.
We had George Mueller of Bristol on board. I had been on the
bridge twenty-four hours and never left it. George Mueller came
to me, and said, 'Captain I have come to tell you that I must be
in Quebec Saturday afternoon.' 'It is impossible,' I said. 'Very
well, if your ship cannot take me, God will find some other way.
I have never broken an engagement for fifty-seven years. Let us
go down into the chart-room and pray.'"
"I looked at that man of God, and thought to myself, 'What
lunatic asylum can that man have come from? I never heard of
such a thing as this.' 'Mr. Mueller,' I said, 'do you know how
dense this fog is?' 'No,' he replied, 'my eye is not on the
density of the fog, but on the living God, who controls every
       circumstance of my life.'"
"He knelt down and prayed one of the most simple prayers, and
when he had finished I was going to pray; but he put his hand on
my shoulder, and told me not to pray. 'First, you do not believe
He will answer; and second I BELIEVE HE HAS, and there is no
need whatever for you to pray about it.”

And when you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall
shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall
down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight
       before him (Joshua 6:5).
The shout of steadfast faith is in direct contrast to the moans
of wavering faith, and to the wails of discouraged hearts. Among
the many "secrets of the Lord," I do not know of any that is
more valuable than the secret of this shout of faith. The Lord
said to Joshua, "See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and
the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour." He had not
said, "I will give," but "I have given." It belonged to them
already; and now they were called to take possession of it. But
the great question was, How? It looked impossible, but the Lord
       declared His plan.
Now, no one can suppose for a moment that this shout caused the
walls to fall. And yet the secret of their victory lay in just
this shout, for it was the shout of a faith which dared, on the
authority of God's Word alone, to claim a promised victory,
while as yet there were no signs of this victory being
accomplished. And according to their faith God did unto them; so
that, when they shouted, He made the walls to fall.
God had declared that He had given them the city, and faith
reckoned this to be true. And long centuries afterwards the Holy
Ghost recorded this triumph of faith in Hebrews: "By faith the
walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about
       seven days."

Hi there Rita …sorry to hear about your change of hours …..( and
the pains ) …could you come to any agreement for less hours. ?
I hurt my back on April 9th , my 81st birthday - “happy birthday
       to me!” NOT!
But six months later I’m still very immobile…in pain unless
       reclined .
Plus to add insult to injury I hit my left foot , probably broke
the second small toe …because it’s still agony and the other
toes are healed and the black bruises all gone now . But the
limping made my back problem worse and set it back!
       Woe is me - 😂🤣🤪
       Such is life eh!
Dave is brilliant and waits on me hand and foot …..he’s a good
lad , I’m going to keep him. 💞
Do you have a moving date yet ?
It seems a very long time coming. Will you be in before
       Christmas ? 👀

       Hi Helen,
Ouch with the toe ( did that many years ago and kept knocking
it, very painful. I now have a bent little toe !! )
The physio has explained how one problem often makes us walk
differently which then puts other muscles out of sync as we
endeavour to protect ourself. We tense muscles as a result. I
have an array of exercises I have to do ( This is the private
physio that I paid for as the NHS will take months to sort out.)
I will need surgery on my knee , so I need to still wait for the
nhs app as that will be a gateway for the op. Pretty sure that
will take a few years with the long waiting lists.
Please you have Dave, must admit Dan is brilliant when I can’t
       do certain things.
No moving date yet but we are hoping it will be early November (
could be late October but I am doubtful )
Sure hope you back pain eases , I know it can take some time
       xxxxx

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest
of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside, of the desert,
and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. And the angel of
the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst
       of a bush" (Exod. 3:1,2).
The vision came in the midst of common toil, and that is where
the Lord delights to give His revelations. He seeks a man who is
on the ordinary road, and the Divine fire leaps out at his feet.
The mystic ladder can rise from the market place to Heaven. It
can connect the realm of drudgery with the realms of grace.
My Father God, help me to expect Thee on the ordinary road. I do
not ask for sensational happenings. Commune with me through
ordinary work and duty. Be my Companion when I take the common
journey. Let the humble life be transfigured by Thy presence.
Some Christians think they must be always up to mounts of
extraordinary joy and revelation; this is not after God's
method. Those spiritual visits to high places, and that
wonderful intercourse with the unseen world, are not in the
promises; the daily life of communion is. And it is enough. We
shall have the exceptional revelation if it be right for us.
There were but three disciples allowed to see the
transfiguration, and those three entered the gloom of
Gethsemane. No one can stay on the mount of privilege. There are
duties in the valley. Christ found His life-work, not in the
glory, but in the valley and was there truly and fully the
       Messiah.

That’s encouraging Helen, sometimes I forget that the Lord is in
the normal things and sometimes comes in small whispers with his
       presence.
You know the disciples actually were not good in the garden were
they, I think they kind of let Jesus down at his most vulnerable
time. They slept, human tiredness overcame them…………….
Much to learn from that I think, they had been pre-warned about
what was going to happen, and still they slept…
