Nancy's Corner
By: Mike Waters Date: July 24, 2023, 2:57 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Hi Nancy, I've reinstated a corner for you, but to reinstate all
posts that were merged is a very difficult job.
They have to be 'moved' one at a time and I will first have to
search and find them.
Also I will not be able to know which ones , if any, were
primarily posted in 'Happy Posting' and which ones had been
retitled in the merge.
I'll probably have to 'move' the whole lot (29).
But I'll try to do them as soon as possible.
Also if posts were replied to or quoted then the replies and
quotes will get 'left behind' in Happy Postings which will be a
bit chaotic.

Mike, no, please don't go through all that trouble. This is
fine, as is. Truly. :-*
Thank you for this space!

Thanks Nancy,
In fact I've already tried to move one post but just couldn't
find a way to do it..

Quote Nancy - “ I have PPMS to thank for all of it. :( My life
has been flipped upside down and rearranged. Sometimes I can
scarcely grasp all the changes, much less expect anyone else to.
Mike, can you please reinstate my "corner"? Sometimes the
writing is cathartic for me, whether it's read or not. I tend to
get verbose, perhaps, at which times the posts might be best
assigned to my "corner."
I do recognize that I currently have a bit of a paranoia
(perhaps) toward being ignored or not heard or not understood,
so ... no hard feelings whatsoever.
I try, these days, to be loving toward those who are not. It's
an ability that can be a terrific struggle. Maybe God is
teaching me something, or many things, through all of this. One
example: the very best caregivers Kevin has had at the nursing
home are two gay guys, hired together and working together. I
will write more about them, later. In my corner.
See? I've gone lengthy in my post once again.
I'm off for a nap. I wear myself out. :D ”
Oh Nancy , so sorry to read this …
I feel so bad now as I had no idea what PPSM was , when I said
that knew what PMS was I presumed that it was the PMS that many
females have …never dreaming that it was related
to MS !
How does lightening strike twice in the same house hold ! Yikes!
At least we now know how to pray for you…bless your heart .
Love and hugs ….H

So ... I was "missing" for over a week; unbelievably, at least
to me, I injured my back simply trying to lift a mattress to
change the bottom sheet on a bed. Yep! Probably slipped a
vertebrae as in the past, tho not as severe, yet bad enough to
bed me down with a heating pad and too many complaints for a
seeming interminable time. Adam cared for me and ALL the
animals, after long hot days of deck-building and sweat. His
energy amazes me and he is a beautiful man in every way. (Well,
his language could use sweeping, but no one's perfect, save
Jesus. I mean, if we THINK we have reached perfection, we are
boasting to ourselves, and besides the main tenet of
Christianity [forgiveness], we must be both humble and kind, as
was our beautiful savior.)
Anyway, my back breaking over a bed sheet convinced me that I
MUST not just LOOK at the new elliptical trainer, but I must
actually USE the machine to regain some semblance of lost
strength. Losing a few pounds might help my bad knees, as well.
For every pound we gain, 4 more pounds of pressure are exerted
on our knees. I gained 10 pounds over the past winter. :(
10×4=40! So, I'm essentially hauling around the equivalent of a
40 pound bag of dog food where 'ere I roam! And I wonder why the
pain ...
Today,I did 30 minutes, 140 calories, to upbeat 80's synth pop!
Then I had a KaChava nutrition shake. You can look that up
online, too. KaChava. Nice meal replacement! Reminds me: I
must remove the Cheetoes Adam put near the TV.
Lead me not into temptation. 8) ;)
Soon I must write about baby goats and gay caregivers. (Not
related, haha, but subjects to address!)
I did enjoy reading 10 pages of "Most Recent Posts." God bless
each of you, my friends in
Christ!

How does time escape us? Here it is, 3 pm. Already! I have
green beans and apples to pick, laundry to fold, dishes to wash,
a raccoon to clean up after, and too many tasks to name ahead of
me. On bad knees with a sore back. Kevin may need meal
replacement (BAD meals at the Home), and Adam will arrive home
soon to find me quite unproductive. I must run and make an
effort! Off I go!

Nancy a very descriptive epistle of life in a garden after the
"fall"
"What did the bald man say, when he received a comb for a
present?
Thanks; I'll never part with it :D "
We are only smoking the odd day now but there are still a lot of
fires about and as the old song says; 'smoke does get in your
eyes', yesterday was really bad.
We have both my grand daughters dogs with us today today,
fortunately they are both small but very energetic which isn't
good, when ones 'get up and go' seems to have gone ;)
Well, time to get my buns in gear, coffee is over, my car's in
getting fixed which will render me both armless and legless I;m
sure, but something to look forward too I suppose but thanks
Nancy for your posts, praying that the God who supplies All our
needs will throw in a few extra's for you. Dave.

Thank you, Dave. I'm enjoying your wit and humor! :D Laughter
is good medicine; which reminds me, I once again forgot my blood
pressure medicine! Oops.
Little dogs have big energy, is true. I have trouble walking my
big dogs on a leash. Seems they became stronger than me at some
point, even though they're like 117 in people-years.
All the fires are troubling. We've even had residual smoke here
in Nebraska.
