Nancy, how wonderful to be in touch again. I have often thought
about you and Kevin and wondered how you were getting on so it
is good to know that all is well with you.

Hey there, Pat! Good to hear from you! The stair lift sounds
quite nice. Kevin lost access to our upstairs pretty early on.
I really have more house than I need. If it weren't for the
threat of tornados, I could happily live in a tiny home. Seems
I just want "less" as I get older. I'm working on clearing
stuff out. The big trash bin out by the road is my new best
       friend.
Do you still find time to write?

Spelling corrected after Nancy's much appreciated spell check
In my old age I can barely hit the right keys (hard enough job

Hi Nancy, our local council have funded the stair lift and it's
excellent for Ray as he's had difficulty getting upstairs for
       quite some time.
The down side of it is that in catering for his needs they have
completely overlooked mine. Previously we had two handrails on
the stairs but one had to be taken down and now I find it hard
to get down from the extra top step that they built to
accommodate the lift. But I am strong and will adapt and am not
yet ready to use the lift as I want to keep my legs strong as
long as I can. As for clearing out - I need to do some more of
       that.

It's Amadeus, Mike. (I'm your spell checker. ;) ) Would be
       great to have John arrive!

Pat, just be careful on those stairs. But, I agree, gotta keep
       moving!
I've been rethinking this aging thing. It's probably a bad
       idea.

       Hi Nancy
Thanks for the update on your health, I was worried that you
were going to get the Lyme disease like Kevin, pleased that it
hasn’t affected you in the same way xxxx
Yes I twisted my knee about three weeks ago and it pulled the
meniscus , then when I was at work on Saturday I pulled the
muscles in the top of my good leg. I could protect my knee with
a knee brace, but not the other muscles so I am off work until
Friday. Dave and Helen prayed for me over the phone but in all
honesty I believe I needed to ‘ stop and be still ‘ my son has
been away this past week and the house has been quiet. Sometimes
we are reluctant to ‘ stop ‘ so maybe I needed something to
       bring that about ! 😀

Yes, I am here. Good to see some well known old names, even
though the persons may be young in the Lord or...?

       Rita,
Years ago in the beginning of our "mess," we had hoped that
Kevin's illness might be caused by lyme disease. After chasing
lyme doctors, tests, and treatments for over two years with no
results, we had to accept the Primary Progressive Multiple
Sclerosis diagnosis. Kevin has never responded favorably to any
treatment of any kind for the MS. His disease is progressive,
and it progresses steadily. Every year there is a marked
increase in his incapacity. Currently, he is mostly bedridden
and unable to move, but for one arm. If Medicaid would stop
stalling and get him a better chair, he might be able to be out
of bed a bit more, but, as is, it causes him too much pain.

Yes! It sounds as though your injuries need time to heal. It's
very hard sometimes to slow down, so many things need our
attention. But, as I've learned too well, we must care for
ourselves or we are no good to anyone else.
Have you tried heat? (My heating pad and I are inseparable.
Helps so much with aches and pains!)
       Praying you heal well and
       quickly.
