Sorry Joseph I missed mentioning you, you are a valued if silent
part of the United in Diversity family. May the next year for
you Bro, be a change of His mantle on you.
War and 'peace' on earth, Goodwill to all men, hard to wrap
one's mind around all that's happening, I remember in one of our
house meetings, a Bro saying, all mankind is evil, even Jewish
mankind, there went his offering for the evening from some!!!!
Like Paul reminds us, we have to walk by faith in these times.
We are not starting Xmas festivities until 4 pm, feels a bit
like waiting at the dentists Rita :D :D :D .
"Thank God it's them not us" must not have been in our hymnal
Rita!! but talking to my son in law from Washington, the 'them
could be us' in a very short order unfortunately.
Gratitude nice word, it sort of sums up to me to enjoy
everything in each day that the Lord gives us; like eating a
fish, enjoy the meat, spit out the bones as they are included in
the full meal deal.
I can't wait to be "fed" up at 4 :D :D :D .

Thank you Dave. I deeply value the wisdom I glean from you all.
But this has certainly been a couple of rough years for us here.
I was diagnosed with Wegeners disease almost two years ago.
Treatments and blood draws fill my weeks now. A month later my
wife had a shoulder surgery which led to two more over the last
year and a half. All while taking my mother for cancer
treatments until she suddenly passed in our house 6 months ago.
She had a huge impact on us. I built her house next door to us
that now sits dormant. Her influence gone..
I'm sorry to share this as my real first post as it's certainly
not the good news. I've wanted to share some of this along the
way and share how God has carried us through. Unfortunately
strength and words escape me. But we are still standing.

Joseph, thanks for your update, it is definitely a time of
sifting, but He has prayed for us. We are with you in spirit
bro…wish it could be more .
Feel free to ask for more specific prayer at any time…
unfortunately sickness has not bowed the knee at this time BUT
one day like sin it will.
I wish I had a shadow like Peter that I could send you but our
best is that we will pray for you and your wife.
My wife's parents lived with us for a number of years, both are
passed on now but still missed.
I have to remind myself when the 'body' seems the greater; that
"I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but
Christ liveth in me -----------"
Blessings ..D & H .

Thank you again. I'm sorry to anyone who read that post above.
None of that glorifies the Lord. I suppose I wanted to give a
reason why I hadn't participated more here on the forum. But
none of those things I wrote give me an excuse not to shine.
Where would we all be had Jesus used excuses (justifications)
rather than going to the cross. Thankfully we won't have to
know... So we press on, forgetting those things left behind and
reaching forth..

That doesn’t sound good Mike, did you mean severe vascular
dementia by any chance?
Still we’ve had some good times in these old tents Bro looking
back, not a pretty picture imho looking forward to what is on
the elites menu for this creation which belongs to God and his
Christ; you and Christine are in our thoughts and
prayers🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼.
Like the old song says “One day at a time, sweet Jesus, that’s
all I’m asking of you”

Vascular has typos as one of its many limitations

Hi Joseph,
So sorry to read about what you have been dealing with. You know
testimony, and giving God glory, is not lost in all you face.
It’s how we come through and face trials and loss that adds to
our stories. The loss of a mum runs deep and it all takes time
xxxxxxxx
Much love to you and your family xxx

Not sure what this is, but if it is meant to be vascular
dementia, and severe, how long have you been getting symptoms.
Have you had a diagnosis, are you getting any help ?
Much love Mike xxxxxx

A blessed 2024 to the faithful few, and the rest of His
creation. I’m reading a small book by Mary Welch titled “More
than Sparrows” a really remarkable lady, it made me realize that
one or this one can, get easily sidetracked by the never ending
amount of “Christian” knowledge one feels one needs to be
current (whatever that means) she highlights her little book
with segments like “the antidote to worry,” I loved “the secret
of receiving” and “ From poverty to plenty” a totally different
concept of the prosperity message, sadly there’s only two
segments left but I’d like to share some of her thoughts from
time to time: it made me realize that the scripture “Beware”
lest ye depart from the simplicity that is in Christ, that the
“Beware” is a lot more pertinent now than when I first believed.
“Pray one for another that YE may be
healed”🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
