I guess that answers a few of my questions Mike, so sorry to
hear you have had a fall as well.
Not sure whether you or Christine get any support from anyone
coming into the house or whether you both just cope with these
difficult situations, not easy when you are both physically
struggling.
Much love
Xxxxxxxx

I'm glad you read it Rita.
It was sent to me by our Pastor in response to my question posed
here (273 I think).
I'm out of hospital now ... very severe bruising to shoulder
blade ... feels the same as broken rib ,,,, can't cough sneeze
yawn (barely smile!).But have to drag myself to Norwich by bus
this afternoon for all singing, all dancing latest tech hearing
aids.
I hope you soon get your relocation problems sorted.

Because of Bethlehem, I have a Saviour in
heaven.
Christmas begins what Easter celebrates.
The child in the cradle became the King on the cross.
And because he did, there are no marks on my record.
Just grace.
His offer has no fine print.
He didn’t tell me, “Clean up before you come in.”
He offered, “Come in and I’ll clean you up.”
It’s not my grip on him that matters but his grip on me.
And his grip is sure.

A very nice doodle Mike, but next time just do it from home!!
Glad you are on recovery road I know that stiff from a fall
feeling, did it a couple of times jumping horses but a lot more
walking the old dog on ice.
'Tis the season' as an old mate used to say, I had post from a
lady complaining how lonely she is, especially at this time of
the year, my 'suck it up sister' has not worked in the past,
coming from an only son background you might think I'd have some
answers but I can't think of a time I've ever been lonely, maybe
certain disabilities amplify the feeling??????
Rita where are you when I need a word of wisdom, I've used
everything from bible study groups, visit the elderly, join the
Salvation Army because they do great Xmas dinners; is it that
one gets alienated through the mind maybe and being alone is the
prominent thought; I suppose one has lonely, then loneliness.
Any thoughts out there???
The old song "Life is but a dream" really seems an escape from
reality nowadays.
Just finishing my morning coffee, the next thing on the agenda
is too catch up on 1Samuel, then off to battle the Xmas shoppers
at Superstore, an ideal place to work on my new 'patience'
routine.
Anyone heard any news on Ray and Pat and family???
HiHo,HiHo and off I go.

Hi Dave,
As you have stated there are two kinds of loneliness, one when
you are physically by yourself and the other when you feel no
real connection to anyone, including The Lord , within you.
There are also two types of people, ones who hate their own
company and ones that embrace it. Personally I am the latter so
being on my own physically is something I can handle.
Having said that sometimes if other people never ring ect it can
make people feel as if they are not loved or thought of ….which
can add to that lonely feeling.
So I guess it depends on this ladies background and personality.
Going to social events won’t help if it’s an inner loneliness,
in fact it’s likely to make you feel worse because you can’t
really connect with those you meet up to and when you go home it
can make you feel even worse ( that saying of being lonely in a
crowd - i have felt that and it’s horrible )
Maybe the issue is not all loneliness but she may also have no
sense of purpose. Have you asked her what she enjoys, what makes
her happy, what does she love , or what has she loved in the
past. We all have God given gifts and if we can tap into those
then we can feel a sense of value in what we do, it might also
help to find something she can get involved with or link up with
at home. Linking up with people that like the same thing.
She obviously writes letters, not everyone does these days -
there are lots of people who would love to receive a letter to
encourage them. Letter ministries link people in a different
way.
I heard from Pat, I sent her a Christmas card ( the stamps are
so expensive now but I decided I would send a few inland -I was
too late for oversees !!!! )
She is okay , but obviously getting older and dealing with
limitations.
I aim to start up my own letter writing again in the new year as
it’s something I use to love and was always too tired to do
before.
How did the shopping go ?
I am off to the dentist today ( check up ) I nearly cancelled as
I hate going, but didn’t really have any excuse !!

Thanks for your thoughts Rita, I shall incorporate them when I
next write xx.
Truly you have the pen of a ready writer as Ps 45 records.
Well 'Tis the season Saints' so to one and all, may we all be
blessed in enjoying family and friends, stay upright Mike and
Christine, strengthen Ray and Pat, Rita may feeble knees be
healed and lift all infirmities from us and those we love. Thank
you Lord.
Even when we are not faith-FULL, you remain the FAITH-full one.
See you by faith in the plan. ::) ::) ::) .D and H.

Hope everyone has a blessed Christmas xxxxx
So many are dealing with colds, flu and covid here ( my son has
been really poorly all week- we are seeing him Boxing Day )
I saw a news report from Bethlehem yesterday , the nativity has
been surrounded by rubble to symbolically represent what is
going on 50miles from there in Gaza.
There is a small Christian community trapped on in the south of
Gaza - but it’s strange to consider the area prominent in the
Christmas story being impacted in such a horrible way. So much
suffering, then the news report changed to talking about
Christmas turkeys and celebrations, kind of sums up the
contrast.
From the band aid song ‘ Thank God its them instead of us ‘ …
comes to mind ( Sarah and I were talking about the lyrics the
other day
Interestingly last week I started to think about my word for
next year ( haven’t done it for a few years ) eventually one
word started to focus more and more ……’ Gratitude ‘ ……
