       Good morning Dave
I will be disconnecting everything early tomorrow morning. We
have nearly got all the contract sorted, just one more today at
my house. I can’t believe this is actually happening now, my
       last full day in Woodingdean.
I have no idea about the transition yet, or the impact. I kind
of think it’s a nice time to leave and move as despite not
really liking the demands Christmas puts on everyone, I love the
build up. So this year I can enjoy going along to a few things.
I am sure there will be a few bumps in the new road, the social
side of work I will miss, but I will gain more social time with
family. I have relationships with friends that need getting back
on track. Caring for my dad and work got in the way of so many
       things.
I plan to volunteer somewhere, just not sure where yet, want to
give my knee a chance to rest first x
I will definitely look at Amos and reflect on what you have
conveyed, and once sky is back will let you know if I get any
       pearls of wisdom.
The division things has always been a part of ‘ the church ‘ (
Paul’s letters relay that ‘ but his words often came with
warnings, personally I see it as a ploy to distract and divide.
How do you weaken the strength of a group of people, you cause
       issues within.
I still remember the vision I had years ago of soldiers
infighting in front of me , then there were soldiers marching
through the village I live. They were being led. The question
that rose in my mind ‘ Do you want to be in the real battle ‘
The soldiers in front of me represented the church members who
were fighting over differences, they didn’t even notice the army
       marching.
It also occurs to me that people observing would have greater
respect for those marching, than those fighting.
It’s good to remember and re- ponder such things
       Rita xxxxx

Just a quick post as. Do not have the internet set up yet (
sadly there is a fault to the phone line ) my data keeps running
out and it’s proving expensive to keep paying for more.
The move went really well, despite awful weather. So Dan and I
are adjusting to the new home, and I am adjusting to being
retired ( it feels kind of weird at the moment ) It’s such a
mess at work right now and I felt very little emotion about
       leaving.
       Much love
       Rita

Thanks for your update Rita, I think Helen worked out we had
       moved houses over 30 times,
Hopefully the next will be our last😇😇😇.
Any “good” (I wonder what that means) church groups in the
location, maybe more importantly, where’s the closest
       Costa’s🤣😋🤣.
I think our hockey team made a mistake last night “They won”
Well lunch is upon us, it seems bodily afflictions are hitting
the saints, one knows His grace is sufficient but a few healing
testimonies would fit nicely on my plate.

Mike an invigorating post, nice to see you, nice to see you, as
the leader, the leader leads by being a front runner, hence no
need of blinkers, blinkers were introduced to keep the wayward
       focused.
The other day I found myself thinking of that old song, "The
Love of God" and ruminating that many in Christendom acquiesce
to it but really do they believe it?
I went to the fount of all wisdom and asked her about the song,
she thought it was Welsh, so much for 'all wisdom'
but the man who wrote the song has an interesting background and
the third stanza is even more intriguing!!!
It's recorded Mr Lehman was a failed christian business man and
ended doing manual labour but after a Sunday sermon the next day
words came to him for a song of Gods love.
On returning home that evening he sat at his piano and quickly
completed two stanzas but standards of the day required three,
but a third would not come, then he remembered a poem on the
back that he had been given, the words were about Gods love and
       information about their source.
"These words were found written on a cell wall in a prison some
200 years ago,It is not known why the prisoner was incarcerated,
neither is it known if the words were original or if he had
heard them somewhere and had decided to put them in a place
where he could be reminded of the greatness of Gods love.
Whatever the circumstances, he wrote them on the wall of his
prison cell. In due time, he died and the men who had the job of
repainting his cell were impressed by the words. Before their
brushes had obliterated the words, one of the men jotted them
down and thus they were preserved"
The poem Mr Lehman read was:
'Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the skies of
parchment made; Were every stalk on earth a quill, And every man
a scribe by trade: To write the Love of God above, Would drain
the ocean dry, Nor could the scroll contain the whole though
       stretched from sky to sky'
They were a perfect fit with the melody and perfect for a third
       stanza.
Years later, a man named Alfred B Smith found more information
       on the poems origin.
It was written in Hebrew around the year 1000ad by Meir Ben
       Issac Nehoria, a Jewish Rabbi.
God preserved his words, and hundreds of yeas later, an
imprisoned man translates the Rabbi's words into English,
'Someone' put the words on a bookmark, and 'someone' gave the
bookmark to Frederic Lehman, who included them in the beautiful
       song.
" The love of God is GREATER Far"
For many of us, we are just among "the someones" who acknowledge
that the love of God is GREATER far.

Dave, I WAS the leader of a forum that was set up in order to
facilitate active (proactive if you like) interaction between
old friends, and initially it did exactly that.
I did more than anyone to keep it alive (see the statistics) and
I didn't drop out until well after OTHERS had dwindled away
(including Helen who stopped posting at virtually the same time
       as me).
Having set it up to facilitate my need for daily interaction I
only dropped out well after it had become obvious that my need
       was not to be met.
I haven't closed it and wouldn't do so .... it will remain what
you, Rita, (and occasionally Pat) want to make of it.
       Subject?? "Happy Posting"
In the mean time I have found something else to keep me
       preoccupied.

Mike in bygone times, I would travel to a small village church
and share with 5 old ladies with an average age of about 80, I
       never went to ‘get’ anything.
As it is more blessed to give than to receive I suppose I have
the same mentality about sites, but where else can one enjoy the
gamut range of Christian emotions that cost very little of my
       time expenditure.
That said, like ‘stats’: ‘stats’ never really tell the whole
story, the modern world manipulates them to justify what they
do, I appreciate you leaving the site open it’s not my main
preoccupation but it is an outlet for giving and receiving from
the ‘few’ who contribute, the chances of meeting in the flesh
are receding due to mitigating circumstances, but one of my last
remaining relatives is retired in Norfolk, so look out; just
       joking Mike.
Well the day is at hand, coffee is due for a re-fill, I have yet
to fully arise and go fifth, so blessings on you and your house
       Bro.

I like the colour Mike, is ‘blind unbelief’ similar to ‘blind
faith’ I could never reconcile blind faith, so I must feel the
same about blind unbelief I suppose.
But one more each for the ‘stats’👍👍👍.
