Oh dear Dave, from the prospective of knowing you are okay, I
kind of chuckled ( only a little bit, I promise ) when I read
the whole story of the Guinness.
Hope you don’t ache today as know falls can have a delayed
reaction.
Personally I hate the stuff, had to drink it when I was low in
iron in late pregnancy. My Nan use to drink it, she loved it !
There may be a silver lining with my knee as I had a honest and
open on versatile with my line manager yesterday. I admitted
that I have had enough ( he was the one who organised the
counselling for me after Sarah’s suicide attempt - still having
the sessions paid for by work. It’s been really helpful ) anyway
he is pretty sure that Occupational therapy will say I am unfit
for work, and that it only takes weeks to release someone from
their contract. It would also mean I can claim benefit until I
retire. So in essence I could actually retire early from work.
Yesterdays conversation was definitely ‘ a God provisional
meeting ‘ as it was random. My line manager doesn’t usually do
my 6month meeting about work ( can’t remember what it’s called )
I was also in laundry and was not busy at that moment. I had
felt pretty low before I went to work and was weighing up
whether to resign……………
My Occupational meeting is on Friday at 8:30 -
The thought of leaving work before Christmas and as we move is
just hitting those positive spots, it would truly be a ‘ new
beginning ‘ ‘ a fresh start to a new stage in my life.

On the note of ‘ the lady on the plane with the T-shirt ‘ do you
ever school down on face book and click on the weird and
wonderful photos of people doing stupid things, or wearing
things that you just shouldn’t wear- they are quite amusing at
times.

Dear Rita
If I understand your prospect correctly then my heart goes out
to you in the hope that you can 'break away' with financial
gain, and then find a new job that suits you best from every
point of view XXX.

Hi Mike, How are you ?
Not looking for another job as I have injured my right knee and
may need surgery, and also done muscles in my left hip area.
Looking to retire 6months earlier than planned. I possibly would
looked for a part time job if surgery happened within the next
year. Or if I could find a job that wouldn’t push the knee too
much. Work at the moment is just too much for both injuries.

I asked this question some time ago Mike and you didn’t respond,
this will only add to the site not being very active. Granted I
have been really busy but I always check in to see if anyone has
posted. So are you able to give an update ?

A very happy posting, my hockey team picked up a win :o it was
an open air rink affair and over 50,000 were in attendance, they
held a minute silence for the hockey player who died in an
English game.
Sometimes I forget that at the name of Jesus every knee shall
bow and that His name is ABOVE every other name that's named,
but get reminded by things which happen, last week a friend of
my son-in-laws in avoiding an head on collision rolled his pick
up truck in the ditch, he miraculously survived,he somehow
managed to get out and dragged himself to the highway, stopped a
vehicle and got them to take him to the local hospital,this is a
very rural hospital with limited trauma care staff, they usually
airlift people to larger city hospitals, Bill was admitted with
numerous back and neck fractures, broken jaw, broken fingers and
the staff admitted they were out of their depth, his wife called
for prayer and sent copies of his X-rays to my son in law who
pointed out that among other things his collar bone was broken,
which they had missed, but from being not sure he would make it,
there are now a lot of positives taking place, it just struck
me, HIS name is above what can be termed "incompetency" so in
spite of the doctors confessions he is improving, PTL.
An old song says,

I must admit to wondering how they deal with things in war
zones, like in Gaza at the moment. It must be awful. I still
don’t see how Israel can justify such an action ( I know Hamas
started it up again , but this is going to far )
Sorry I know a lot of Christian’s automatically support Israel
but those in Gaza are people too , not second rate human beings
just because they happen to be Muslims. It’s the extremists that
are to blame not everyone else.
I don’t understand how so many Christian’s can be so cold
towards those in Gaza - I don’t get it. ( I must be a weird
Christian to have compassion inside for them all ) !
Hockey season, did you hear about the freak accident at a match
here. A player accidentally got hit in the neck with an ice
skate and sadly died as a result.
I have heard of accidents on the ice but not one so severe.

On the hockey note, I did mention that on our Sunday game they
held a one minute silence for the dead player, a grim reminder
that accidents can be fatal.
As too the Israel thing, retribution has always been the
unregenerate way that things are done, in every conflict the
innocent suffer, I don’t think there is any way for that not to
happen, should “ r*p*ng and pillaging “ go unpunished? the laws
of the land say no, when biblically God gave the land that He
had promised to Israel the conflict with the inhabitants
continuing through every dispensation, and will continue until
there is a divine intervention.
It will have to be a greater than Solomon intervention, I have
no particular leanings, as in the Ukraine do I have to choose
one over the other; we are told to pray for the peace of
Jerusalem, is that relative to a piece of real estate in the
Middle East, or what was seen seen as coming down from above!!!.
To me Israel is the rejected wife, and rejection is a breeding
ground for strife,
.. Islam is an unforgiving religion, which feeds on domination ,
fear and barbaric penalties.
My hope for all mankind is in the one who said I AM the
resurrection and the life and went on to prove it.
Jesus was the master of compassion, did the need foster
compassion or compassion was the fulfilling of the need, I need
to have a study on compassion, as to it’s out workings.
On an hockey ending, it’s ‘game on’
tonight,👍👍👍.
