Psl 119 has that verse, "Thy word a lamp unto my feet, and a
light unto my path"
I was thinking on that as I climb the 80 odd steps and ramps up
to my daughters this morning, you can take the sidewalk or do
the steps which ascend up a long steep bank.
Tradition relates that the Jewish travellers at night, not only
carried a light and because there were step trails up the hills
especially up toward Jerusalem, they had a lamp on their foot
that illuminated their immediate next step.
Now one might ponder why my going up the ascent would remind me
of that, but when I get to the bottom of stairs and look up, if
I keep looking up to the top, all of a sudden the sidewalk has
great appeal, but if I just look at my feet (and the next step)
then they take me up and I huff and puff to the top.
And it struck me that the Lord is more invested in our short
step vision than the long (as they say end time step vision) the
long term is only accomplished by the lamp/word one step at a
time.
Those who ascended the 15 steps up to the temple sang a
different song on each step, if you want to come up higher, He
will give you a song for every step of the way.
If one is travelling thru a dark place, HE not only has a song
in the night but His word. a lamp and a light unto MY path.
Jesus said in Matt 11, "Come unto me" all that labour and are
heavy laden, and I will give you rest"
" Take MY yoke" upon you, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and
ye shall find rest for your souls"
" For MY yoke" easy, and my burden light"
I find Christendom has yoked the church followers to many yokes
which are neither easy or light, and which can never give rest.
Have a blessed weekend saints.of the most high.

Good ones Dave …thx
Rita, I remember when my mum had dementia , as you say , it
terrified her, she’d be ‘gone’ for hours at a time…then when her
mind cleared she was so happy saying “I’m back”
But, it never lasted long..they were terrible years , I felt
helpless to stop her slipping…..Anyway , I remember when we had
to put her in care , the lady said …”she’ll be happy again once
her mind has tottaky gone and doesn’t clear any more! I was so
angry at her for saying that …but how true it was ….Mum always
thought that I was her sister after that …I’d pretend that I was
her sister , easy as I’d do the - “do you remember when…”,…
because I’d heard all her childhood stories , and she was so
close to my aunt. She’d laugh and be happy again..always smiling
…
I don’t think any Christians are afraid of dying , but it’s the
“in-between bit” that’s scary . It’s the actual - getting from
here to there !
Dave and I agree the other month to put plastic bags over our
heads if our brains turn to mush.
Trouble is we only have paper bags these days of “save the
planet” …..darn, I should have kept some plastic ones for such
an emergency ! Hahaha! xxx

Yes, that stage when they are no longer really aware means they
remain in the new reality. In the care home we get to love the
people the way they are now. We learn to play along within their
realities ( takes a bit of practice ) If some one is looking for
their mum, we convey that we will keep an eye out for them.
One family wanted their mum to carry a letter round in her
pocket to remind her that her husband had passed away. It went
against what we believed was right. I hated it , it was just so
unkind.
Yes, we get mistaken for all kinds of people. One lady ( many
years ago ) fired me because I wouldn’t let her in a locked
room. As far as she was concerned it was her hotel and she had a
right to go where ever she wanted!

Realities, I used to visit an older man in a care home and I
always found him sitting at a table in the dining room, he wore
no watch and clocks really had no meaning to him, so he just sat
and waited until the meals were served.
In Isa 54 is a short verse, "For a small moment have I forsaken
thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee"
This had me thinking, what constitutes 'a small moment' the
phrase 'wait a moment' is dependant on another's concept not my
own, in 1 Cor 15 Paul writes " Behold I shew you a mystery; We
shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed, In a
moment.---------=----"
Two 'moments' one seemingly long term and one very definitely
short termed.
The first moment would appear to be about mercies and lasted
until the resurrection and when mercy was loosed from the
Temple, the second moment is about 'change' which incorporates
the first but the second is in an instant, what a victory, this
is the mystery, death swallowed up, a body so glorious angels
will be in awe, better than the first Adams, Job knew all about
this body and said '------I will wait until my 'change comes'
now there's a waiting moment!!!!!!!
A moment in time; it was in the fulness of time that God sent
forth His son, and time will be no more, no more just wait a
moment.

~ "Warriors humbly count on God to come through, no matter what
situation they are in. For that to happen, our confidence must
be in God's very Nature, not just in His Power." ~

Good one, Helen, if our confidence is HIS righteousness and not
our own, good things can happen.

Just came in from my evening walk around Mt Zion, and the Sun
was sinking in the West and a full half Moon was in the sky to
our East and it was lit up with light from the Sun, this was not
in night darkness, we know the Moon church is called to live by
the Son life/light and it struck me, only half of the Moon
church is living by His reflected life,/light and darkness is
coming to a fullness in this hour, so it is the time a to
receive the fullness of His life/light, the first ministry is
always to the house, then to the rest.Selah.

Sorry missing in action!
It’s just been a difficult few weeks with work. The new manager
has decided that housekeepers should do ten hour shifts !! (
done them before and don’t intend to do them again )I have an
appointment with Occupational therapy on Friday, another private
physio app on Thursday and a meeting with my line manager on
Tuesday. It’s very difficult to decide the best way forward.
Moving, busy packing and sorting out the house. No move date yet
but checks have started with some of the houses.
Dan will be 30 on Tuesday ( he thinks he is old !!!!! )
