He did say he had trouble posting because his shoulder hurt so
much to type, but it is unusually for him to be completely
inactive here.
If you are reading Mike- you are in our thoughts xxxxxxx

interestingly it stopped helping my leg after awhile, and I had
to come home from work yesterday - off today and back tomorrow.
Not sure why you would need to throw a sicky , and if you have
pulled something it can take time to heal- it’s been 8weeks
since I twisted my knee and seven weeks since I pulled the
muscles in my other leg ( mind you I am over walking the legs
because of work )
Can you go to the NHS website , Physiotherapy help. They have
some helpful exercises. Injuries do need to be moved, but not
overworked like mine (!!)
They might help Mike - also there is a strong over the counter
med, paramol -that’s what I was recommended if the co codamol
didn’t help xxxxx
( check that you are allowed to take them as they are quite
strong and once again can only be used for three days in a row,
then have a break for a few days.

There is life after us taking care of my Grand-daughters dog
24/7 for nearly two weeks, plus caring for my daughters house,
which included watering their vegetables, innumerable trips to
redeem parcels left on the front doorsteps, and collecting their
mail, spurred on from them by; "what a great time we are having"
;D .
So, back into the forum breeches once more, I have been tying to
keep up and reading but just to knackered at night to foist a
worth while reply. I say blame Peter Sellers, we've been
watching the Pink Panther series.
A W Tozer wrote in his book "That Incredible Christian" of the
'futility of regrets'
which caused me too 'think on these things'
One version relates, 'Regrets' as, that it implies pain caused
by deep disappointments, fruitless longing, or nagging regret
for missed opportunities, and unavailing remorse'
Our Mr T'r has a penchant of going for the jugular a lot of
times, and one line says, 'Regret may be no more than a form of
'self' love, -----------that any failure to live up to ones own
image of himself disappoints him deeply.
Regret according to Mr T is a kind of frustrated repentance that
has not been consummated.
Our life before Christ if one lingers, probably had very few
'regrets' until we met Jesus where the two ways meet.
Some regrets we had too address but some had to be left 'as is'.
One regrets that one cannot return the same love for God that He
had and has always had for us.
If I take the version of "Regrets" that implies pain by,
fruitless longing, nagging regret etc then they like the hound
of heaven are still following on in some areas.
But the answer is still, No Regrets in following on to know the
Lord.
So what does that show, that for us in Christ, that the past no
longer exists in the realm of regrets, the man in Christ has
only Christ's past and that is perfect and acceptable to God.
In Christ he died.
In Christ he rose, and in Christ he is seated within the circle
of Gods favoured ones.
He is no longer angry with him'self' because he is no longer
'self' regarding but Christ regarding; hence no place for
regrets.- Borrowed from Mr T'r.
After two weeks of walks three times daily, I'm a shadow of my
former self, just wish the shadow that remains, had the same
power as the the Apostles of old'
It irks me that so many saints are suffering physically from the
dis-eases, of this world,
riches and best doctors, healthy eating and lifestyles does not
give one an exemption.
I have one Bro with a malignant thing on his back awaiting
surgery, he qualifies for one of the two things that don't bring
an exemption, another bro who has made a life style of both and
is now in the disease of Parkinson's, and another whose wife
battled the big C and went on to claim her reward, he is now
been diagnosed in the early stages of Altz/ mind wipe and has a
year to put his house in order before.....!!!!!!!
Any prayer for them would be a bonus.thx

On the line of regrets, on one of the dogs last night walk I
came by one of our neighbours who is of Asian linage, I blow
their sidewalk off in the winter plus their car drive, there are
at least two males who seem permanent, and one always seems to
have his last cigarette on the front porch, on this particular
night as I'm wont to do, I bade him 'good night', all I caught
of his reply was something about 'would I like --------- '
I thanked him for what I know not and said 'no,' then, when I
came to the end of his fence I saw 4 rolls of grass sod, he was
walking behind me and I said 'was this what you were talking
about' and his answer was affirmative so I said yes, I'll take
them, secondly he is one very large guy, he would make Arnie
Swatz proud, they evidently do landscape gardening. No regrets
at this point, of course the next day was in the 80's, in my
minds eye it was just a case of a little raking, then flopping
them down the bank, looking at the bank I had my first twinge of
the element of 'regret;' I had unsuccessfully sown this area
with grass seed twice and had only been rewarded with a series
of tufts, so making the rolling theory, a N A. !!!!!
As my son-in-law was on holiday I had no access to his trusty
mattock, but he who puts his hand to a non existent plough must
not look back, so it was spade and rake to the rescue, I was
about half way through when my first blister broke, the other
one ballooning on the thumb I covered with hockey tape, I then
went to a neighbour for a pick, he had one redeemed from the
NWT's (where all the fires are at the moment;) when his brother
died.
It was one of those, when men were men picks, while using it; it
was where serious regrets got a foothold, I should have been on
my balcony reading a book, but with said pick I cleared the
area, then I cleared up all the weeds and tufts into the green
bin, which I now have doubts that the new Green bin man will be
able to pick it up, I had always bribed the old one but this is
another new 'Pharaoh' driver.
I then raked and watered and I finally got to roll them down the
slope but my 4 rolls were actually 3 and a half one, so the next
day off to the hardware store in the hope that I could make do
with one (drives Helen up a tree), so one it was, which turned
out to be smaller than the other commercial type ones, so I
ended short at the bottom, so next day I bought another one,
fitted the short one up but made my second one even shorter, I
remembered the leg lengthening thing but it doesn't work on
grass sod, so went to the back garden area and dug out two
pieces from there, as in life all grass is not equal, hopefully
the non mowed bits will at sometime blend in.
I should have stayed with my 'no' then I would have had a total
'no regrets' ;) .
Why does something free, have so much appeal and yes the
blisters are healing well except in hot water. >:( .

Wow to the A.W. Tozer reference ect. He has always been a great
inspirational writer to me. I must ponder on what you have said
about regret. I would like to think I don’t have regrets, but
that would be a form of denial.
So sorry about your ‘ Bros’s ‘ …the whole issue of suffering
physically, and mentally ( Alzheimer’s ) just goes beyond me,
although in the scheme of this life it’s not comparable with
eternity. Maybe that’s the point sometimes, we cling to what we
have here when , like Paul, to be with Christ should be a
desire. ……
I have often wondered how I would cope if I got a dementia
diagnosis, that stage before you are so unaware of where you are
in reality. It is suppose to be the worse stage because it
happened gradually. I guess you have to grieve for what you are
losing. I see how it unfolds at work and much depends on what
kind of passed you had as you go back in time.
Parkinsons is another strand of dementia, how I have admired
Michael J Fox for what he has dealt with from a very young age,
not sure I would cope.
I was always grateful that neither my mum or dad got anything
like that ………..
