more than just 'sin' in the churches eyes, I'm one who never
knew what a homosexual was until I was 18 and a man tried to
pick me up in a restaurant in London, I was in the Army at Mill
Hill, so I asked a friend and he filled me in ,and it seems it
was standard practice to make a few bob ($$) in Hyde park after
dark, so I was probably in the same league as Rita's dad and
even as a Christian they didn't disappear, even with limited
exposure, coming to Canada and working in the interior designers
put me right in the midst, it's odd but I seemed to react like
it was disease.

kindness, the pattern Son showed kindness to all sinners, except
the religious ones!

to go up instead.... and they are still paying a price for that.

I have always struggled with the issue as a Christian, but I
constantly look at things from the prospective of the real
battle and the fact that people don’t see or know about that
most of the time. Are they not victims as much as anyone else
being influenced by something going on in a realm that they
cannot see. Nothing is ‘ as God intended. If it is an ‘ anti
-Christ ‘ spirit ( I am presuming you mean an actual spirit that
influences ) what causes that influence to take hold, what opens
the door?
We know that homosexuality has been around for such a long time
( considering it is mentioned in the early history of Gods
people ) Is it generational tie ?
The thing that I dislike is the hatred that some Christian’s
have towards this group of people. I cannot hate them, I don’t
agree with the life style or the way that they want special
treatment within society, I don’t agree with two dads raising
children, or two mums, I don’t agree with the marriage ect, but
they are still people who are caught in a battle that is way
bigger than us. They are still lost, they are still in need of
Jesus.
That battle exists for all of us, only difference is that what
we often battle with different spiritual influences and we can
still be acceptable to other Christians - accept perhaps my sin
of divorce as that places me in the firing line from time to
time.
You mention about the church being ‘ the bride ‘ well that is
about belonging to him , all of us are not perfected yet and
Life in itself will be ‘ as it is meant to be ‘ when that
finally happens. Remember the book ‘ love wins ‘ ……
There is always a time of preparation before the wedding, yes
some will need to go through the refiners fire , as we do once
we come to faith and allow Jesus to change us and deal with
things. …………
Sorry this last part is a bit rushed as I have to get ready for
work …………
I only read your response this morning xxxx

Thanks Rita, as always good and valid points, it's odd that
Jesus knew Judas was knicking a few shekels from the bag but as
an 'issue' it is never addressed.
Jesus called him knowing his problem, was he allowing him time
to say, 'I have a problem' if so, that also raises the question
of the betraying to fulfill scripture bit!!!!!!
If we accept that homosexuality is 'just' an alternative life
style does that change it into a different category than say the
child molester or rapist, which used to get you locked up.
As I say, I'm trying to wrap my head around what I think as I've
never really had to address it as an issue, Jesus in addressing
lifestyles, the writing in the sand comes to mind which ends
with 'go and sin no more' meaning, make sure your lamb is
perfect.
As He was The Ultimate Lamb which would take the sin of the
world and have it nailed to his cross are we now as believers
just as the song says, too 'Love, love, love.'
It seems to me that with patience homosexuals have got
themselves into positions of authority and have become the head
not the tail, which I see as the work of a spirit.
Could the whole sexual revolution just be a vial poured out???
A preacher I know with a following claimed many years ago to
have been delivered but now embraces the lifestyle as a norm,
and preaches the Good News gospel.
In reading Roms 1 again, it seems a case that hinges on who's
righteousness are we holding as truth.
It, like many things will at the end get the heat treatment and
God will get the GLORY.

I haven’t got my head around it Dave, it’s always been a
difficult issue to handle. I have found it harder to deal with
since Dan came to faith , he is bi sexual and has no convictions
that it is wrong and looks upon the whole issue in a different
way to me - yet we are on the same page with most things.

My final note Rita on this subject is (wait for it) I shan’t be
buying their flag🤣🤣.
This verse popped up as I was out walking;
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the
Lord, thoughts of peace, and not evil(calamity) to give you an
expected end” (a future and a hope).

This might be a ‘word’ for someone.

Thanks, Dave, for your response. The part above got a laugh out
of me. Gay guys, tho, are like the rest of us and have certain
"types" they like, so you might be safe. Maybe, lol! I know many
people are still uncomfortable thinking too deeply about
homosexuality, I suppose, because, it's true, being "straight"
we can't wrap our heads around it. Yet, in the workplace, all
people should be evaluated on how well they do their job. We
were sad to lose good nurses. And,"shaming", as Pat said,
rarely has any positive benefit at all. If people could have
just kept their mind on the care needs of the residents, things
might have gone smoothly. Honestly, tho, that community is
steeped in gossip and everyone seems to (think they) know
everything about everyone. Amazing all the drama, especially in
the cafeteria, I hear. And this nursing home has Happy Hour
once a week. With alcohol. Kevin claims it's a riot. I dunno
...

I've always quandried/sp that saying, 'that no news is good
news' to me, it's just still no news.
But here is some news, just served Helen her very hot dinner and
she malfunctioned with the tray and the 'hot' ended up on her
midriff causing great consternation and a couple of nasty burns,
a quick application of a Aloe Vera stem, and a quick prayer
thanking the Lord that it was not worse.
So Mike we pray one for another that we may get healed,
Blessings, a quick word to all, don't go to the bathroom and
avoid very hot meals.Lol.

Sure hope the burns are healing, I did that about six months ago
, but with boiling water. I had a small hot water bottle and I
didn’t know the cap was not on tight enough. I had to jump up
quick out of bed and just go under the shower ( cold water )
sadly I had no aloe Vera ……it did help and prevented it
blistering, but it did need dressing for about a week.
