Helen, I think I'll eventually get it all sorted.
I've started by modifying the descriptive intent of our two main
boards
Take a peep.

I am here this morning, but it is still somewhat Greek to me. I
will try to visit daily and test the waters until hopefully it
starts to make sense. This old dog is definitely showing his
age.
Hello to everyone!

Hi John,
Let me explain the order in which the site has developed into
its current format.
Helen commented on the fact that confining all posts to the
'corners' allocated to each member was not what she had expected
... she thought that we would, in contrast to James' multi board
site, have just one board with one posting topic.
Which fitted in with my realisation that we had in fact wandered
off course by having 9 separate 'Corner' topics.
So I hit on the idea of setting up one single, one topic, board,
and getting rid of the 9 corners by merging them into the one
new board.
But, in trying to do that we found resistance from some of the
members who had got accustomed to, and preferred to, keep their
corners.
Ultimately we hit on the compromise of having both, and
reinstating the 'corners' for those members that had been merged
but wished to still keep their 'corners'.
That's how things stand at the moment with members choosing if
and when to post in both.
I'm very comfortable with that and just hope that we don't lapse
into nil posts.
However "If the Lord is not building this site then I have
laboured in vain".
But no probs....I have greatly enjoyed the very demanding
excersize.

In all honesty, it seems my last couple posts were lost in the
merger. Or ignored by everyone. Unfortunately, as in modern
texting, sometimes it can be difficult to evaluate what just
happened. All we have to work with are words, and I'm learning,
as in my broken relationship with my only child, sometimes
words, no matter what they are or how they're delivered, just
don't work. So many aspects of my life and relationships (not
that I have many left) are just mind-bending these days, leaving
me in a state of confusion.
I have PPMS to thank for all of it. :( My life has been flipped
upside down and rearranged. Sometimes I can scarcely grasp all
the changes, much less expect anyone else to.
Mike, can you please reinstate my "corner"? Sometimes the
writing is cathartic for me, whether it's read or not. I tend to
get verbose, perhaps, at which times the posts might be best
assigned to my "corner."
I do recognize that I currently have a bit of a paranoia
(perhaps) toward being ignored or not heard or not understood,
so ... no hard feelings whatsoever.
I try, these days, to be loving toward those who are not. It's
an ability that can be a terrific struggle. Maybe God is
teaching me something, or many things, through all of this. One
example: the very best caregivers Kevin has had at the nursing
home are two gay guys, hired together and working together. I
will write more about them, later. In my corner.
See? I've gone lengthy in my post once again.
I'm off for a nap. I wear myself out. :D

Hey Nancy …
Agree , I didn’t see your posts , so just presumed that you
hadn’t been on here for a few days . Good to hear that you
posted. ( even though not seen)
I learned many years ago that we can only survive on forums with
thick skin! Haha!
Thin skinned people can’t lasts . As you say “all we have to
work with are words” and on forums it’s hard to tell if someone
is serious, being flippant, light hearted , or what.
Dave usually writes lightheartedly , it’s his nature …So I’m
always telling him …unless you use smilies no one can tell that
your are not being serious!
And many moons ago I had to get over the fact that people
either didn’t read my posts , or just ignored them …..so
basically I see forums now as a place on just posting my
thoughts …and never looking back , but moving on read, or not
read😊
Yes , you’ve had so much upheaval this last decade …more than is
due to one person …so I think you have carried someone else’s
sorrows too! And they have had a lighter life because of it!
😊 I hope they thank you in heaven . 😘
I’ve heard of PMS obviously , but what is PPMS? That’s a new on
to me…

Nancy I too was puzzled on PPMS, I even consulted Strongs
Concordance but nothing related popped up in either the Greek or
Hebrew😇🤣😇, but think of the heavenly
fun, that in the ‘lost posts section’ in one of the seven
heavens, we can catch up on what everyone missed, that will
solve the problem of, what will we all do “up
there”🙃🙃🙃.

Yes, guys, a couple posts are now in the 'lost post section' of
the heavenly realms, and I agree, Helen, thick skin is a must,
actually, here on earth, in general. PPMS is the abbreviation
for Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, the cause of all the
upheaval, the latest of which is likely going to be bankruptcy.
::)

Thanks Mike...
Don't worry about me. In time it usually comes together for me.
Sometimes I will only read and not post. Our God always knows
where we are.

Hi Helen,
I just have to speak up, but I could have chosen any one of a
few different post quotes to latch onto, so no significance in
my choice of a few words from one of your posts.
Firstly, I'm a constant 'stats' observer and I can tell everyone
that the only posts that have been 'lost' were mine, when I made
my first experimental attempt to merge my 'corner into 'Happy
Posting'.
The current Posting stat shows a total of 305 posts, and if
anyone thinks some of theirs have been lost all they have to do
is click on 'Profile', scroll down to 'Account Settings' then
click on 'Show Posts' (in the left hand column).
In 'Stats' I can see the number of post made by every member,
and they add up to the 305.
Secondly concerns what I call 'Feed the Sheep', and surely there
must be someone who will share that 'shepherding' endeavour with
me.
By which I mean regularly checking and making sure that the
majority of posts to which a reply would be appropriate receive
at least one.
I'm sure that the demise of forums is often due to members
making such a post, checking back to see if there's a reply, and
eventually ceasing to post if the lack of response continues
Hopefully the forum will now need little further tweaking and I
will have time to better attend to that side of 'shepherding. (
but help would be appreciated).
