It appears that members are unable to send (and therefore can
not receive) PM's.
The exception is Nicky (presumably because she's admin) but I am
not sure if she wants a further task.
Does anyone think they could put it right if they had admin
status...It's proving to be beyond my capability.
If so please speak up.

Actually I had never tried until just now….so I can’t tell if I
could have done or not.
Maybe people haven’t activated their message choices on their
profile page .
Did you get mine okay Mike?

okay question -
I went through every thread and all “corners “ ..and clicked
UNNOTIFY …because I keep on getting my mail box full of
notifications …… but, even though I’ve done that , I am STILL
getting notifications in my mailbox . Any one know why ?
I “think” I found how to fix it in Notifications/ Profile…..thx

Helen,
I am having just the opposite issue, mine is locked and I the
options available do not work. So I cannot receive PM's :-\
I have a message to Mike but, not even sure where to find if her
replied! Lol.

Hey Nancy
I think we are talking about two different things here :D
I was talking about the notifications that I was receiving all
during the day whenever someone posted in a thread . ( which
thankfully is all fixed now! Yay! )
You are talking about the message inbox I think.
I must admit I never even tried it , so have no idea whether
it worked for me or not.
Have you made sure that you have checked on your profile page
that everyone can message you ? Just a thought xxx
By the way unless you want huge font we no longer have to click
on changing the font size …Nicky fixed it so it is larger now ,
so we can just type without have to chose size etc
xx

Yes, I got your PM.
But that was only because I had made you 'admin' and admins are
not prevented from sending PM's (If only I knew how to fix it)

Further thoughts on the 'admin' question.
At 88 only God knows how much 'time' I have left, and I'm
anxious to have an additional admin in place to maintain
continuity in the event of my demise.
Please, everyone, pray that God will provide.
Meantime (for at least an interim period) I've placed the mantle
on Helen (albeit without first asking her permission) ::)

I've fixed the PM problem.

Type the song into your search engine (Jesus use me by Jimmy
Swaggart, for example).
When it comes up click on the 'Play' triangle in the centre.
Then beneath what you see while you listen you will see a
'Share' icon.
Click on it and a box will come up with 'Copy' to its right.
Click on 'Copy' and that will light up a short cut to the song's
URL.
Press 'Ctrl' if you have a qwerty keyboard, followed by the 'C'
key and that will save the short cut.
Then at the point where you want the song in your post press
'Ctrl' followed by the 'V' key
Job done.
No idea what the alternative might be if you don't have a qwerty
keyboard.
