Hello y'all,as an update on my part,i was told the pre
enrollment might take up to two months to process but i can
apply for visa immediately.so i guess that's just what i am
gonna do so as to avoid any unforseen delays.

I intend to call the embassy maybe by next week just to follow
up with the pre-enrolment. But I'm believing my pre-enrolment
would be done in a month at max. Anyways I intend applying for
my visa latest by 2nd week of July. Fweaky I would love to ask,
in regards to the DSU scholarship, where you able to get a
certification from the Italian embassy to determine your ISEE?
If yes, how did you go about it?

       @stephen,i did my pre-enrolment @the consular's office already
buh was also told that my DoV(declaration of value) is the one
that's gonna take more time.Could you enquire about anything on
that at the embassy over there so we could do some comparison.
About the ISEE, i wasnt given much audience to enable me ask
questions pertaining to that but i plan on going to the embassy
direct and not the consular's office before this week runs out.
I will surely keep you updated on any further info i get.

Owusu welcome to the forum. Happy for you that you have been
accepted. Kindly tell us the program you have been accepted for
and the school you finished from. As for pre-enrolmemt, I would
advise you make haste as soon as possible. Pre-enrolment would
end in 10days time (30th of June). For pre-enrolment you
basically need the originals of your degree certificate, your
wassce results and passport. These documents should also be
attached with the official Italian translations. You can contact
vfs global or the embassy for certified translators. Also make
sure to go there early because they officially close by 12noon
to the public. All the best mate.........
@Fweaky....... I didn't hear from you again on that stuff.......
       How far na???

@stephen,sorry it took me quite sometime to get back to you on
this one.i have been trying to get substantial info regarding
the scholarship stuff. The consular over here isn't helpful at
all but i was able to get in touch with someone who is currently
studying at the university and he was nice enough to explain to
me that an affidavit would suffice for all the certificates
mentioned,i would have to get them translated and authenticated
though. As you rightly stated in your latest post, one would have
to make provisions for probable eventualities before the
       announcement of scholarship awardees.

I'm a little bit confused though..... "An affidavit would
suffice for all the certificates mentioned" does this mean that
getting a sworn affidavit from the court stating that one
doesn't come for a wealthy family would suffice in getting the
certification from the Italian embassy? I need clarification on
       this please.

       @stephen, sorry if i wasn't clear enough,i was actually
referring to the scholarship requirements.Initially,i had issues
concerning how to find government bodies that issue the required
certs, that was how i got to know about the affidavit of a
thing. My informant(a student of unisi) told me that i could
submit an affidavit stating the family income, composition,as
well as properties.do ask more questions for further
clarifications and you could add any more info you got

Okay......... Now I get you a bit clearer. So basically an
affidavit can suffice. I guess it has to be a sworn affidavit
from a court of law, with a stamp and seal to confirm its
authenticity. This obviously solves a lot of headache now. I
intend to apply for my Visa asap, I'm trying to get all the
required documentation so as not to create any room for display.
I'm quite confused on the issue of flight booking though cause
it seems to be a requirement for the visa (i.e. the visa form
has a column for date of departure and to prove that you intend
to depart on whatever date you put there I think you need to
show your flight itinerary). Also its important to get a health
insurance plan....... I'm working on the health insurance at the
moment so would update you and the best one to undertake when
       I'm done.
