PRE-ENROLMENT AND VISA CHALLENGES
By: expensivestephen Date: June 30, 2014, 8:59 am
---------------------------------------------------------
I think quite a lot of us are facing numerous challenges ranging
from pre-enrolment to visa application. I thought it wise to put
up this thread so everyone can put up their issues and hopefully
get it sorted out as soon as possible. I plead with the admin to
try and forward our challenges and issues to the international
office (internationalplace@unisi.it) since they barely respond
to our emails or take our phone calls. Well my challenges as
stated before are;
1. Pre-enrolment: The embassy wants the international place to
issue me a letter stating that they can pre-enrol me whilst I
await my final degree certificate.
2. Proof of accommodation: The embassy also wants a
documentation to this effect to enable me apply for my visa

Hello,
I'm Ali, and I'm from Iran.
1- The Italian embassy in Iran accepts the letter of acceptance
that university sent us by e-mail, otherwise you should bring
your corresponding with the university that says " you can come
to Italy and it's Ok that you don't have your certificate yet
and ..." .( I mean it's Ok to print this e-mail and give it to
the embassy)
2-The Italian embassy in Iran accepts a confirmation latter that
you booked a hotel for the first 15 days of your residence in
Italy. (they want to be assure that you have somewhere to stay)

ALI thanks a lot for your response. I really find it comforting
that you took out your time to respond to me. For your responses
this is what I think
1. I would communicate with the embassy and see if the printed
correspondence would be enough proof for them to carry out the
pre-enrolment. procedure.
2. For the accommodation proof, I have tried contacting Santa
Charia but the response I got was that they haven't started
giving out the place yet and I have to wait until August when
they start giving it out. Where do I now make a reservation?

Dear Anjan,
I hope this would suffice as answers to your questions. To book a
room at the siena hostel, all you need to do is visit Booking.com
and search for siena hostel after which you can pick a suitable
room(room of 2,4 or 8).All you need to complete your booking is
a credit card to confirm that you can afford the
payment.Afterwards,a confirmation will be sent to your email
address which can be printed and taken to the embassy for visa
processing.
Regards,
fweaky.
