Somewhere I know that there is a video of a Defender trying to
wade that same muddy section as the U1000 and U1300L in the
videos I posted. There are also pictures of some blokes working
on it under floodlights to rebuild the engine a couple of hours
later!
Not something I like to share but hey, it is what it is! ::)

it makes you laugh these landrover "snorkels" which are actually
raised air intakes, they have a hole at the bottom of the raised
intake to let any water out that get into them! :-\ :( kind of
defeats the object! >:(
