Welcome to our new forum!

Hi Everyone,
I am very pleased to introduce our new forum, which i hope you
agree, is a lot nicer and easier to use than the last one. :)
With this system, you can like threads so that it shows up on
your facebook news feeds, and you can also share to facebook.
also you can now add photos as attachments so you dont have to
have a photo hoster if you dont want one.
You can now obtain "badges" which are awarded for things like
posting, getting good karma etc, these can be viewed by yourself
and others in your user profile.
By the way, karma is shown on the user profile to the left of
posts, it is effected if people "applaud" or "smite" you.
You may also have noticed that we have a new url, we have
decided to use a .com url to help us appear in search results
more, the old unimogclub.co.uk url still works, it just
redirects you to this url.
Along with all of this there are many more differences with this
system, i personally am very happy with it, especially compared
with the old system, your thoughts and opinions as usual are
welcome :)
Cheers, Brian 8)

It's looking good. I was really struggling with the red writing
on the old board - I'm a bit colour blind and it wasn't that
clear for me. This one looks much better.
Wherever this is at it's a pretty promising place. We just need
the new members to get and post a few things to build up the
size of the forum. The more stuff there is to see the more
likely other folk are to stick around and share what they know
and the club will grow. I do a lot of google searches for
unimogs and I haven't seen much sign of UCUK. Time will change
that I'm sure. I just hope you stick it out so it has the chance
to develop. I get the feeling that with the lack of mogs in the
UK it could take a while, but we'll get there.

exactly, content provides info, and thats what search engines
like google look for, plus google know when a site is updated,
which is the great thing about forums, as theyre constantly
being updated :) i was doing a google search the other day on
u800's and was really chuffed when i saw ucuk on the first page,
but typically that was when we used the old site :( we know a
fair few people with mogs, but i think theyre waiting to see if
the site develops before joining, which i cant blame them, ive
joined a few forums before and asked questions,to never receive
a reply :-\ what i hate is when you join a forum and introduce
yourself and get NO reply, thats just rude >:(

it takes time to spread the word, but its all part of the fun :)
most of the people who have mogs in the uk are working them and
have bigger and newer mogs which dont need fixing like ours ::)
:P there are about 8 mogs round york but only me on here :-\
