Unlike A Kettle of Fish (Trinity + Link Only)
By: Lady Trinity Date: February 12, 2017, 3:26 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
((Please note that this is set after the current threads Trinity
       and Link are in.))
It was quite a tranquil evening in Waterfall, the glowing cyan
water flowed gently through the winding streams and pools of
water. Echo flowers whispered a soft tune of hums as a group of
five monsters walked by. With every flower they passed, the more
humming was added to the song that was currently being hummed by
the passing Shyren. Lady Trinity, didn't exactly have the best
voice for singing, but her quiet, sheepish hums did echo quite
eloquently. The Shyren was flicking through a small wooden book
with golden edges and had shimmering-white pages as she hovered
ever so gracefully along; the ends of her floor-length white
gown dragged along the floor as she went.
She was of course, surrounded by her canine guards - and per as
usual the two savage-looking Rottweilers were at the front with
battle-axes in her paws and two dopey Alaskan Malamutes plodded
along behind her; panting and wagging their tails excitedly as
they frantically looked all around them; excited by the
slightest things that moved. They too were armed, but with
pikes. The Shyren soon stopped and clicked her fingers - and her
guards too stopped moving. Lady Trinity then turned about,
picking up the long trail of her gown with her dainty fingers
before slowly descending into a glowing rock pool. Here she let
out a gentle sigh as she sat in the shallows; the water not
going any higher than her hips. The guards were too in the
water, but they were standing around her and allowed her a bit
more room as the water only reached their knees. The canines
       remained alert while Trinity basked in the peaceful waters;
listening to her melody of hums echoing around her.

The beautiful siren's peaceful atmosphere would soon be
disrupted as a giant tentacle shot up out of the water carrying
a boy. The long limb was squeezing the child intent on
suffocating him. The blonde elf in the green garb drew his sword
making one decisive slash freeing himself from the monsters
grip. The tentacle was cut in half hitting the floor as Link
landed in the shallows. Wadding through the water Link looked to
the ceiling of the cavern as the towering sea monster emerged
from the lake. With a determined look Link shouted. "You want my
soul? Then come and get it!" He said egging the roaring beast on
as he used a lighter to ignite the wick of a bomb. The fuse
quickly burning down in his hands Link waded through the waters
getting closer and closer to the immense Kraken. He plunged his
Razor Sword into the eye of the sea beast causing it to recoil
in pain. It's mouth opened as it cried out in pain, that was
Link's opening. He tossed the bomb into the mouth of the
creature and shortly after followed the boom.
Standing firm as the monster erupted into dust the young hero
slide his sword back into it's scythe with the hilt hitting the
metal ring at the top. Looking off into the distance of the dark
cavern his eyes fell upon the lovely shyren and her loyal guard
dogs. He fell silent as his eyes drank her image in. Link didn't
know what had come over him, he'd just faced down a titanic
monster yet this single woman had him utterly stunned and
speechless. He'd never seen a vision of beauty quite like that,
with all the flowers echoing her lovely voice it only amplified
her allure. The light on the tip of her head seemed like it was
almost calling to him as he turned lightly red and his heart
started racing. Link didn't quite know what was coming over him
but this woman made him feel like he was floating on air.

The Shyren's song stopped abruptly with a frightened gasp when
she was interrupted by the horrific scene before her, "Oh
heavens! Murderer! Murderer!" she shrieked, pointing frantically
at the boy before covering her face as she started to cry. The
Rottweiler guards were the first to react, firmly standing
between Trinity and Link and readying their battle axes.
Horrible snarls escaped their maws and the fur on their backs
       stood on end.
Meanwhile the other two dogs were helping her out of the water,
their large bodies hulking over her for protection. If Link
didn't act quickly, she would disappear into the depths of
       Waterfall very soon.

When the object of his affections screamed bloody murder Link
started to panic. "What no! I was just defending myself!" He
cried out in response reaching a hand out towards her. As the
dogs dashed up Link quickly deduced these hounds were her
bodyguards as he saw the two larger dogs carrying her away, he'd
thought it would be in his best interest to not harm them. He
reached into his pack producing a stick as he started to wave it
around. "Who wants the stick boy? Do you want the stick?" He
asked in an excited tone like one would use when talking to
       pets.

The Rottweilers blocking Link's way narrowed their eyes further
at him, continuing to snarl at the boy. They didn't seem
       interested by a mere stick.
However, the other two dogs helping Trinity out of the water
stopped what they were doing and looked at Link's stick
excitedly. They soon rushed on over, barking happily, leaving a
terrified Shyren behind. Now the elf had four dogs in front of
       him and in his way.
Meanwhile Trinity sat on the rockpool's edge, hyperventilating
as she was absolutely terrified and didn't know what to do.

When the two larger goofy dogs came over Link tossed the stick
as far as he could into the water. "Go get it boys!" He shouted
excitedly assuming they would chase it. Left with the two
vicious snarling hounds Link backed away trying to think of
something. He knew these hounds were far more loyal and less
easily distracted. Now that Trinity couldn't flee maybe he could
explain himself. He gently unclipped the belt that held his
weapons and held them out to the guard dogs. "Easy fella....I
       just want to talk."

The Malamutes barked happily and chased after the stick while
the Rottweilers remained. The remaining guards eyed his belt
suspiciously, they continued to growl until a meek voice said
       behind them, "L-let him."
The Rottweilers ceased their growling and lowered away their
axes. One of them took the offered belt for the mean time, and
will return them to him when seen fit before walking back to the
Shyren and stood either side of her. The one who took his belt
       inspected the sword curiously.
Soon the Malamutes returned with either end of the stick in
their mouths. Trinity huffed and pointed her fingers accusingly
at them, "Bad dogs! Bad! How dare you leave me for a filthy
stick!" she scolded, causing for the white dogs to whimper with
shame before returning to their usual stations behind the
       Shyren.
Now that she was surrounded by her guards again, Lady Trinity
was feeling more at ease. She took the sopping wet ends of her
silk dress and wringed them; expelling the excess water from it.
"What is it you want, murderer?" she scoffed.

When Lady Trinity called him a cold blooded killer it was as if
she'd reached into his chest and torn out his heart. It wasn't
like he even stood a chance with such a lovely creature in his
current state. Link's eyes dropped to an annoyed glare as he
thought of doing very bad things to the princess that took his
adult years away from him. "I miss being seventeen." He moaned
inside his head now face to face with Trinity. Link noticed the
lovely dress along with the fine jewellery, she must be a noble
he thought to himself. He knelt down on one knee and lowered his
head like one would in the presence of a princess. "Forgive me,
Mi Lady this land is strange to me. I can't go anywhere without
being attacked. I just saw you and...." After that Link froze up
as his mind couldn't form words he wasn't about to tell her, he
thought she was beautiful. He seemed unable to talk as he didn't
dare look back up at her veiled face.

Lady Trinity raised a brow at him and the light glowing a
brilliant green at the end of her lure drifted over to the side
of her face - around where her ear should should have been
before she spoke, "Hm, well I suppose you do not look like you
have been here very long." she pondered out loud before
continuing; her tone remaining rather hoity-toity, "So, you saw
       me and...?"

This was it this was where everything fell apart.....Link could
only think about the world above where his skill with a
sword.....That was it! He thought to himself as he stood giving
a gracious bow talking with much confidence. "I saw you and
thought! She looks important. You're of noble birth if I'm not
mistaken. My skill with a blade is unparalleled you saw how I
handled that creature fifty times my size. I think a Lady of
your stature deserves better protection than dogs that run after
a discarded stick. I'd like to offer you my services. You need
protection or something done I can help."
