The Golden Rule
The first, most important rule in RP is having fun. The whole
point of RP is to have fun, isn't it? Although not everyone
agrees on what exactly is fun in RP, everyone agrees that RP
should be fun at it's core. Here are a series of guidelines that
will help you understand how to keep RP as fun as possible; both
for yourself and fellow members.

Sentence Structure & Grammar
Nobody is perfect, minor typos happen basically all of the time,
and that isn't a big deal; some people even have issues with
grammar and spelling so it is best to be patient with them-
they're trying their best. It is greatly appreciated if everyone
tries their absolute best, but again there is no need to be
perfect.
Do note however, that on Underground Unlimited we use Third
Person, full paragraphs while writing posts on the forum. So
please refrain from using first/second person or script while
posting in character on the forum.
Post Length
There is no word-count limit nor requirement here on Underground
Unlimited, so feel free to post at a reasonable length that
works for you. Incredibly short or ridiculously long posts will
make things harder for your fellow members. Too little too often
and there won't be much to work with for. Too much and you might
as well just write a novel of your own.
Of course, when a thread dials down, shorter posts are
commonplace. Furthermore, during Arcs there might be ample
reason to bust out your best, so make it worthwhile, make it
meaningful!

OOC Conduct
In all cases, when you have your character interact with other
characters, you cannot control any character but your own,
unless you have specific permission to do something from the
owner of the other characters. This is especially important when
engaging in some form of competition or perhaps even combat in
character. In combat, you cannot state that any action or attack
always lands or anything of the sort; what works or does not
work is up to the other player(s).
The one exception to this is villains/obstacles being
played/presented by someone hosting an Arc, as these
antagonists/challenges are designed to give the story weight and
a sense of urgency for our characters. That being said, if/when
you are hosting your own Arc, do your best to be reasonable as
well; remember— its about having fun!
Here are some examples for your reference.
Acting
What not to do when initiating an action
Sophie ran in with her swords raised, a battle cry
erupted from her muzzle as she struck down her opponent
Benjamin. Her strike was as horrifying as her roar, for poor
Benjamin was sliced into two. Sophie's cold gaze crept over her
should as she watch his dust blow away in the wind.
What you can do when initiating an action
Sophie ran in with her swords raised, a battle cry
erupted from her muzzle as she prepared herself to strike down
her opponent, Benjamin. First, she swung her sword down upon in,
with hopes of being able to make her mark on his chest. Sophie
remained alert as ever, however, ready to follow through with a
second strike, if she had missed.
Reacting
What not to do when responding to an action
Benjamin laughed as he stepped to the side and dodged all
of Sophie's attacks.
What you can do when responding to an action
Benjamin laughed, too cocky for his own good, as he
side-stepped to dodge the attack. He was lucky the first time,
for the swords missed him but he didn't anticipate how quickly
Sophie followed through with her second attack. A pained yelp
escaped from Benjamin as he felt the cold metal break the skin
on his arm. A quick, silent gesture of thanks was given towards
the Surface for his quick reflexes saved him a fatal blow from
that second strike.
