As the two exited Espresso Yourself, Amarillo looked around at
the snow-filled landscape in wonder. She’s smiled and thought to
herself that today was a perfect day to go exploring this new
town. The Temmie knew that Snowdin was very widespread, and she
couldn’t wait to begin looking at the shops with her new friend,
Lesser Dog.
Amarillo turned to the over-excited dog and gestured for her to
lead the way. ”Where, erm... are we going to
first?” Rillo put a paw up to her glasses, making sure
that they were straightened.

Lesser Dog gestured vaguely down the street "Inn is that way I
think." Lesser Dog pointed in a different direction, this time
seemingly at an unrelated building. "Liberry is somewhere in...
that way? Past that building I mean... no that... No, I'm
sorry!" Lesser Dog spun round abruptly. "I... I think it's that
way! I think that building there lights up at night! So we go
past that!" Lesser Dog looked proud for a moment, and then her
face dropped "I think that's right anyway. Been a while since I
have been to the Liberry. Turns out the place is pretty
peaceful.". Lesser Dog looked around, now looking at the street
itself, for the first time in a while she took in how different
the town looked during the day. The streets had people in them
for a start, honestly, the place looked a little strange. "I...
I might be less good at this than I thought." For a moment,
Lesser Dog looked almost forlorn, A moment later she was back to
her eager self again.
"So... First time in Snowdin right? Must be odd. The place takes
a bit of getting used to. I think we should go to the Liberry
first. unless you want to go sort out a room first." Lesser Dog
paused to think. "The Liberry is definitely that way...?" Lesser
Dog looked to Amarillo, as if they were asking for confirmation.
Before moving ahead of her towards the Library.

Amarillo turned around in circles, trying to help Lesser Dog
look for the Library. She squinted at the many signs along the
road. But, since she was new to this part of town, Amarillo
didn't know where exactly she was supposed to be looking. She
trusted Lesser Dog in leading her around town, even if she had
forgotten a where a couple places were. The Temmie was glad when
she finally picked a direction to walk in, even if the direction
was the wrong one.
Rillo followed Lesser Dog down the road, looking up at the
restaurants and shops along the road and making a note of where
they were. "I think I'll er, go to the Library
today... then I'll try to find a, erm... room at Snowed Inn so
we can finish, uh, looking around, tomorrow." Amarillo
hadn't even been walking for that long, but she already felt
tired. She thought that it might be that, because of her short
legs, she was constantly having to keep up with Lesser Dog. She
thought that she might find an interesting book that she could
read while she rested for the long walk tomorrow.

"Snowed inn is usually fairly good. There are almost always
rooms there." Lesser Dog spoke excitedly. "You should have no
problem finding a place there! And the owner is nice! I think
you will like it there!"
Despite the Dog's worries, it did not take long to find the
Library "Here! The Lib...rarby..." Lesser Dog gestured to the
sign "Guess we were both wrong about the name." Lesser Dog said.
Looking back, she noticed how tired the Amarillo looked. "You
Ok there? Do you want me to slow down? Though I guess as we are
here now, its not an issue any more." Lesser Dog Approached the
door, there were several footprints leading in and out of the
Library, the place was open, and seemingly fairly active. "Its
funny. I don't think I have been inside here for years. Even
longer since I properly tried to read anything longer than a
signpost." Lesser Dog glanced back at the Temmie. "So, we are
going inside right?"

She nodded, then smiled. "I'm fine for now...and,
erm, yeah we're going in. Unless you'd rather...um, stay out
here in the snow, heh." Amarillo looked up at the sign.
"Librarby... That's odd, I, um...wonder if they
know that it's er, misspelled." Amarillo walked inside,
and was surprised to see that the Library was even bigger than
her personal one...almost ten times bigger, in fact! She
adjusted her glasses as she looked around. She decided to ask
the librarian about the sign. As soon as she approached him,
however, he answered her question for her. "Yes, we know...the
sign outside is misspelled."
Amarillo laughed and turned back to the main room. There weren't
many monsters actually reading books. They were mostly walking
around and talking to each other and looking curiously at
Amarillo and Lesser Dog. The Temmie fiddled with her collar,
suddenly uncomfortable now that she had noticed the many stares.

Lesser Dog had already moved over to a bookshelf. She was
reading the spines, or... trying to anyway. "Cess furadd anced
plyes?" Lesser Dog was reading the spine of an old human manual.
Clearly advanced stuff. After pulling it out, she recognized the
style of the images on the cover from the books one of her
friends in the guard used to read. Advanced human tactics or
something. This particular book looked very old and worn, parts
of it were completely unreadable. Though that might have just
been due to the state of the dump.
She was almost tempted to take this book with her. After all,
that's what librarbies books were for right?
She looked back at Amarillo. "Everything OK?" Lesser Dog
glanced over at the other Monsters in the room. She felt a
slight swell of pride in being recognized as a proud member of
the royal guard, even out of uniform. She gave the nearest
monster who was looking in her or Amarillo's direction a quick
wave. "hi! Do you need something?" She asked. Mostly she just
wanted to get the attention off of the Temmie, who she could see
was uncomfortable.

"I'm, er...fine." Amarillo turned her back
on them and moved over to Lesser Dog. She looked up at the book
that Lesser Dog had been looking at. She felt grateful towards
her for trying to distract the monsters, but the Temmie still
hid behind a bookshelf in an attempt to block the stares. She
started reading the human manual and tried to understand what it
was talking about. She had already studied many humans tactics,
so the information in the book looked familiar.
After looking through it for a bit, Amarillo turned to the shelf
behind her. She noticed a small book that had been hidden
between two bigger books. As she pulled it out, a map of the
Underground fell out. "The Underground... an
Extremely Brief History." She squinted at the title,
wondering how the history of the entire Underground could fit in
such a small book. Curious, she opened the book, and saw that
the book was typed in a small font, smaller than normal. The
book didn't seem to have many pictures, except for the map that
had fallen out. The book was new, and she had never seen
something like it before. Amarillo showed it to Lesser Dog,
wanting to hear her opinion on it. "Look at this
book, um...have you ever seen anything like it?"

After talking briefly with a couple of the other monsters in the
room, Lesser Dog looked at the book Amarillo had shown her.
Tiny.. squiggles? no wait, writing. Lesser Dog squinted,
examining, and even trying to read the small print. Before
turning the book upside down, and examining the map, before
eventually she passed the map and the book back to Amarillo. "I
think its a book." Lesser Dog stated. "Though I... I don't see
how you can read it. Its writing is small Maybe I'm just bad at
reading... and its new." Lesser Dog sniffed the air around where
the book came out of the bookshelf. "Smells new to. Not like the
other books. Maybe it was written by a really small monster?"
Lesser Dog examined the shelf it was on, seeing if the other
books near it were similar. "Could always ask at the desk where
it came from. It looks monster made given its about the
underground. Not that many people write books. I don't think. So
finding the writer can't be hard either"

She suddenly became interested in seeking out the author. He...
or she... couldn't possibly live too far away. Unless, of
course, he lived at the Capital. If he lived there, Amarillo
thought that there was absolutely no way of reaching him. She
looked back at the shelf, searching for other books like it.
However, she didn't see any that came close to the size of the
book she had pulled out. Glancing back down, she read the
author's name out loud. " 'Ailec Flem'... That's
an, um... odd name. Have you, erm, ever heard of anyone with
that name?"
Amarillo thought that she might investigate more on this book,
so she decided that she would check the book out and take it
with her. She might even be able to finish reading it that
night. "I think I'm, er, going to get this
book.." She began walking to the front desk to check it
out.

Lesser Dog shook their head. "Not off the top of my head. Though
Snowdin is big enough that I don't know everyone and I don't
read much"
"I will take this one with me as well. I... probably can't read
it! but hey, It has pictures!" Lesser Dog gestured too the badly
damaged manual Lesser Dog followed Amarillo to the desk, After
asking the librarian, Lesser Dog moved to the door ready to
leave the library. "That's was the snowdin Librarby! Its big,
and has books! Where to next? ...Assuming your done here of
course."
