There would have been several reasons for Echo's strong
connection to Waterfall, but for as long as she had loved simply
thinking in its tranquil waters where she would swim, or
listening to each thought the flowers she was named after took
note of, or wandering around humming tunes from her childhood,
she didn't decide what drew her to this place out of everywhere
       in the underground.
Maybe it was because she grew up here. Her memories were made of
that same color pallet; deep purple, neon blue, black. Even if
dizzy and blind she could make her way through here, because she
went to every corner of it with her brother and parents. Their
entire lives were spent here, the tears, the smiles, the deaths.
But even despite everything that she had also lost here, she
would come back. It felt wrong to not at least visit here daily.
Or perhaps the silence. She loved how silent it was, or at least
how ambient each sound was so that a shout was no more agitating
than a soft whisper. Nothing could disturb her from her infinite
thoughts, which gave the moment when she would often talk to
herself for one sentence before shutting back up. Luckily,
barely anyone was there when she expressed those thoughts. She
could always find somewhere to be isolated, alone. Where he
       thoughts were supposed to be.
Those two seemed to be the strongest and the most reasonable
today, as she submerged herself beneath the water, sitting cross
legged on the riverbed. Her black cap, basketball vest, jeans,
and dirty white trainers sat neatly on the bank for when her
skin was overly pruned. Echo had once stayed underwater for ten
minutes before she needed to resurface, and each time she would
mediate to the hollow hums of water as her mind would clear,
before quickly getting clogged up with the longing for how much
       simpler her life was.
Eventually she resurfaced, spitting out water like a fountain
and clearing her eyes. She didn't care how wet she was, putting
her clothes back on straight away; they'd dry soon enough. Her
hair, however, was a different story. She grew those magenta
strands out down to her waist, meaning it would drip like a
waterfall. You couldn't win at everything, she knew that. After
checking her pockets for every last item she last left in there,
she made her way to the one place she would leave waterfall for
       her survival needs; Snowdin.
