"Y'know, I might just take up artistic baking." Zarc smirked and
gave River a wink. It would be logical to start with candy
jewelry, he figured it might be fun.
He nodded to the unibunny in appreciation, but now noting she
seemed to be in some sort of pain. Still, he hoped that she just
had an intense pride-cry, but it became increasingly clear she
got injured recently. "Very well. We're patient folk, so no need
to strain yourself. We're here to chill and have a good time~"
Zarc followed along closely to River, marveling at the interior
of the place. It was very quirky, but in a good way! It felt
bigger on the inside as opposed to the outside, and Zarc's first
guess was some form of magic. [b]Rad magic.[/b] He needn't say a
word, he only nodded. Clearly impressed and his expression said
it all. 'Nice.'
However, Zarc was curious as to why the main room lacked very
many tables and chairs. As he was about to question it, the
unibunny picked up a carrot and yanked on one of the potions
that lined the wall... With an eyebrow raised peered around the
corner and his jaw just dropped. This was rad magic alright.
"Y-yeah, we'll... We'll let you know, thanks." Staring into the
room he was almost dumbfounded. "As I said, n-no need to strain
yourself..."
Slowly walking in, the winged monster looked around the room. He
spun around a few times while doing this for good measure. His
gaze hung on the instruments and karaoke machine in the corner
for a moment until River spoke. "Hoohoo~" With a graceful hop he
would glide over to River, gently taking her hands in his. "This
is fantastic, I don't even think theres a room in the
[b]mansion[/b] thats this cool~!" This was just Zarc being
modest about his home, as per usual. It probably stemmed from
him only using a few rooms moreso others. He was only one man,
after all. Times were different when that place had more people
in it...
"C'mon lets go see whats on the menu~" He near enough chirped
when he spoke. Once again he would glide. This time; over to the
table, awaiting River. When she wandered over, he pulled out a
chair for her first before sitting. "Hopefully pizza pies are on
it somewhere."

River would laugh when Zarc mentioned about taking up baking,
was it simply because of the house design? Either way, Zarc in
an apron was pretty amusing! Cinnamon seemed appreciative of
Zarc informing her that they where relaxed and she had no reason
to strain herself, leaving the two to the room afterwards.
River would let out a light gasp, a pleasantly surprised one at
that when Zarc hopped over and took her hands in his. She'd
glance down at their joined hands for a moment before looking up
at Zarc and smiling, her cheeks glowing a gentle white. It was
nice to see him so happy, excited even, he seemed glad with
their choice of establishment and really, so was she, it was
private and she felt as comfortable as ever since it was just
her and Zarc!
She would follow him to the table, gently taking up one of the
menu's to read it, her fingers skimming up against the fluffy
sides of the menu briefly before she'd focus on what was
actually on the menu.
Soon, River would point out the pizza pies to him on the menu,
bringing her menu and herself over to him to show, under it was
also a selection of different flavors to pick from
"[font=arialblack]Which two should we try?[/font]" She would
ask, raising a hand to run it through her 'hair', knocking back
the hood for a moment but she was quick to grab it and pull it
back over her face shyly. There was more then two flavors for
them to choose from, River herself was rather unsure which to
pick, what if she didn't like it? Zarc could have it! What if he
didn't like it though? She would hold the menu with one hand and
would fiddle with her cool hood badge again with the other.
Maybe Zarc had an idea of what to choose?

At first, Zarc sat down and looked at the menu, he looked
through it slowly but eventually put it down. Instead, he had
his elbows on the table, leaning his chin on his hands and just
looked at River. Once again he was on a new train of thought.
His hair twitched again and before the thought concluded, Zarc
was once again interrupted by River herself. She had moved her
chair closer to him to show him the menu. At least one of them
focused on the food. Thank god. "Uhhbwuuhhoo-" Zarc stammered
before quickly regaining his composure much like how River
re-positioned her hood.
"Hmm." Mulling over options, he ran one finger down the menu as
he read it off to himself internally. Eventually he found
something quite interesting; a pizza pie that had crushed echo
flower petals baked into the crust, thus giving it a slight blue
glow. It was noted that this pizza pie echoed the clattering of
utensils, which was a very popular quirk. That, and it had the
most cheese by default out of the other ones, as well as a
savory sauce that had raspberries mixed in. "I'm thinking I'll
go with the Valentian Echo but as a medium sized serving. Seems
interesting. You ok with garlic bread too, by the way?"

River would pause very briefly when she was skimming the over
the menu in search for the pizza pies, feeling that gut feeling
of someone watching her, she would glance up, but only quickly
and for a short amount of time. She spotted Zarc looking at her,
but thought that maybe it was because he was waiting for her to
find it on the menu to share with him, or maybe he was just deep
in thought about something. She'd simply smile warmly as she
looked back to the menu, her cheeks glowing a gentle white
again.
River would giggle gently at Zarc's stammer, giggling and
laughing wasn't something she did often, but when around Zarc,
it just felt right to do, she was so relaxed and comfortable,
that it was okay to let her guard down and to laugh.
Focusing back on food for the moment, she would watch Zarc's
finger go down the menu, before looking back to him again,
"[font=arial black]Ohhh![/font]" Her face would light up with
interest in regards to the pie Zarc selected. "[font=arial
black]Always yes to garlic bread and Uh..[/font]" She would look
back to the menu, leaning in a little to look over all the
flavors again. There where still so many to choose from! How
would she ever decide? Time to randomly pick one and go with
it!. "[font=arial black]I think I'll go with the Super Spicy,
and a drink, you know, just in case[/font]" She'd smile, giving
him a light wink before humming as she looked back to the menu,
"[font=arial black]The cinnamon shake caught my attention right
away afterall, would you like to share a drink? We could get a
large with two straws~[/font]" She would suggest, fluttering her
bright, star-like eyes at Zarc afterwards, "[font=arial
black]Two pizza pies, a spicy and a Valentain Echo, garlic bread
and a drink, does that sound good to you?[/font]" She would ask,
setting the menu back down on the table, one of her hands would
go towards Zarc's but she'd pause, her fingers brushing gently
against his before she'd hold her breath and look aside shyly.

Zarc nodded along to River's assessment of the order. One
Valentian Echo, one Super Spicy, garlic bread and a large
Cinnamon shake with two straws. For a moment all was normal
until, internally, he realized what River just said.
'T-t-t-t-t-two straws?!'. As River so cheekily suggested while
fluttering her luminescent eyes, so too did Zarc's wings
flutter. 'Come on dude, chill. Chill.' Clearing his throat,
trying to conceal a bit of a blush with a free hand he would
speak. "Y-yeah, thats spot on~! Zarc looked the other way from
River. 'I mean, hey. When you say it... It basically sounds
perfect...' He slowly trailed off in his head, not immediately
realizing that he didn't say any of that.
It took him a second, and he felt bad that he missed a chance
like that. Nailed it? More like failed it. He'll have to bring
his A-game, and soon. His eyes once again met the Karaoke
system. '... Oh heck yeah.' Zarc smirked and turned back to
River. "Shall I ring the bell now?" He waited River to be ready,
as someone would have to come in and speak to the pair for a
moment before doing so. When the unibunny lady from before
finally arrived, Zarc took it upon himself to relay the message.
He spoke clearly, with an extra gentlemanly vibe.
"Hello; we'll be having two pizza-pies. One Valentian Echo for
me, one Super Spicy for this superstar over here~" He playfully
nudged River's shoulder. "As a side, we would like some garlic
bread, and for a drink we would like one large Cinnamon Shake.
Maybe a bit bigger than large if you can manage that. Two straws
also." Zarc bowed his head after speaking. "Thank you very
much."

River of course couldn't help but to give a little, "[font=arial
black]Heehee~![/font]" When Zarc's wings fluttered like that, a
hand going to one of her cheeks as she watched the winged
monster before her, "[font=arial black]It's settled
then~[/font]", she would nod when asked if her should ring the
bell now before she'd move behind him a little, gently holding
onto one of his arms from behind as she did.
Cinnamon would hop back into view soon enough, the door opened
and the Unibunny would return with a cute notebook. As Zarc
began to say their order, she would be already scribbling it
down, one of her eyes looked a little darkened, but she didn't
seem too bad.
Once she had their order down she would smile and bow her head
back to Zarc politely, "You're very welcome dear, thank you for
your manners! I'll get onto making your order as soon as
possible, you should have your garlic bread first~" She would
say, giving them both a smile before again she would hop off out
of sight, allowing the door to close behind her.
River would blush at first a white, followed by a a light
orange-red after being judged by Zarc and being called a
superstar. She would pull down on her hood lightly, trying to
cover the blush with the cover the hood provided at the front.
"[font=arial black]Thank you for saying that all, if you'd like,
I can pay for the food for the trouble. I really need to work on
talking up on these things..[/font]" After her offer, she'd hug
one arm with the other, looking aside, feeling a bit ashamed
with herself in that she relied on Zarc to even order for the
two of them. She felt comfortable around him though, why was it
easy to talk to him and not others?

"Not a problem. Thank you again." Zarc waved as the unibunny
once again made her way out. As soon as she left, he hesitantly
adjusted his glasses that had almost fallen off the end of his
nose. Leaning back in his chair he looked over to River. "Well
now, that alone is a brave offer to make if you haven't looked
up all the priiiiiceeeees~" The winged monster then looked at
all the stuff they had ordered on the menu to calculate the full
price. It wasn't all too steep, so that was nice. However...
"Don't worry about it. I'll still pay half. Might as well use a
bit of dad's old fortune for something thats worth it."

River would pause, and then gently take up her menu again to
look back over the prices after Zarc had pointed out about them,
he did have a point, what if she didn't have enough? While Zarc
calculated, River tried to as well, while also trying not to
panic over the possibly not having enough to afford all of what
they ordered.
Zarc soon helped sooth her though in her silent panic, saying he
would still pay half using some of his father's old fortune.
Before responding, River would place a hand to her chest and let
out gentle, relaxing sigh, which would appear a little like a
glittery cloud. Before she'd look back up at Zarc, "[font=arial
black]Well.. It is yours to spend how you wish to now
Zarc..[/font]" She would say, fiddling again with the white
badge she had to keep up her coat. "[font=arial black]Like I
said though, I'm happy to pay for it if you'd rather not spend
that on this[/font]" She would give him a smile, placing the
menu down to take his hands into hers and give them a
supportive, comforting squeeze. Family was hard to talk about to
some, especially when passed. The last thing she wanted was to
tread someplace unwanted to Zarc and upset him.
"[font=arial black]Hey, wait a minute, they've even got a
karaoke system in here...[/font]" River would let go with one
hand, but still hold onto his other, turning to look at the
slick system that awaited to be used over in the corner of the
room. It only needed to be plugged in and the microphones hung
either side of the system. River would give Zarc a gentle nudge
with an arm, a sly smile coming to her face, "[font=arial
black]C'mon, why don't you show me some of your moves that you
and your band do~?[/font]" She would laugh gently, before shyly
bringing her head back more under the hood of her coat, letting
go of Zarc's hand to tug on it gently again, "[font=arial
black]Well Uh... You know, if you want to~..[/font]"

"Huh? I know. All I'm saying is that this is worth it." Zarc
began casually, only to be spectacularly caught off guard again
by River. She was being extra supportive as soon as Zarc
mentioned his dad. Did she think this was a sensitive topic? To
be fair ordinarily it really would be, but in her presence it...
Wasn't as much. Zarc felt like he could be himself about it.
Besides, she already knew how hard it was for him a while ago.
Hell, even Sans and Mads did. "Yeah. Its worth it." The winged
monster shrugged, and nonchalantly looked over to the Karaoke
system.
'Well, she's seen it...' Zarc kept a casual expression on as
River made a request. She wanted to see some of his musical
moves, huh? 'Hohoo, she's in for it now. Forgive me lads, I
gotta pull off one of my solo performances.' Then she will
indeed see some moves. "Oh is that all?" Zarc smirked and raised
an eyebrow as he slowly stood up. He figured it out now, where
that train of thought from earlier was going... "Now, what sort
of performer- nay- what sort of man would I be if I ignore the
humble request of such a fine lady, hm~?"
Zarc slowly stepped towards the Karaoke system, and as he did a
rush of shadows enveloped him. "Reverse the spotlight~" This was
part of the band's most favorite entrance on stage. Usually
several others would be in on this part of the chant. "To the
crowd of dazzling smiles~" He clicked his fingers as sections of
the shadows melted off of him. "From these shadows hear our
melody~" His clothes were now 'infused' with some slick shadowy
additions. "But who are we~?" He reached the small stage next to
the karaoke machine, and quickly set it up by plugging it in and
setting some simple stage effects to go with the song he chose.
"We, are Dark Requiem~!" Zarc turned, revealing he also had a
fancy birdlike mask over his face. Even though he was smiling it
all looked so serious. He must really get into character. There
was something missing, but that was understandable, this was
usually done with several others.
He flicked the end of the mask upwards, revealing his eyes that
glittered red. "This song is dedicated to a superstar." Zarc
twirled the microphone in his hand. "Enjoy~" Zarc bowed, and his
wings spread out. As if on command, the main lights around the
little stage shut off, and a spotlight shone down on Zarc.

When the guitar began to play, he spun around in place, only to
come to an abrupt stop, wings fully spread. "I thought love was
only true in fairy tales~" Since he was likely the focus, he
could sneakly send some shadowy magic along on the floor. "Meant
for someone else but not for me~" All the while, singing with an
exuberant amount of energy. "Love was out to get me~ That's the
way it seemed~" The shadows slowed down as they reached the
ground near River... "Disappointment haunted all of my
dreams..." Zarc looked down then immediately back up, pointing
with a free hand to River, signalling the shadows to whip her
hoodie off, to reveal what was hidden. "Then I saw her face~!"
He gave a sly smirk. "Now I'm a believer~ Not a trace, of doubt
in my mind~" The ends of his hair twitched to form a shape. Now
it was easy to see what the shape was. The outline of a heart.
[center][glow=purple,2,300]"I'm in love~"[/glow][/center]
Zarc winked as he continued to sing. "And I'm a believer~ I
couldn't leave her if I tried~" So too would he continue to
dance along with the song up until its conclusion. The lights
and sounds that the karaoke machine and extra set up died down
and Zarc dispelled his shadows from him as he sauntered back
over to River. "So, sunshine. Whaddya think? Feel like datin'
this here badboy?"

Zarc didn't seem to show much emotion when they talked of his
dad, she wasn't sure if he was just kind of sweeping it under
the mat and didn't want to focus on it now, or if just didn't
bother him as much anymore, she wasn't going to press unwanted
buttons though, and would nod when he said this was worth it. If
he thought it was, then it was.
River would 'wiggle' in her seat excitedly as Zarc got up and
headed for the karaoke system, sitting up straight, her eyes
bright and eager. She would giggle lightly and put a hand over
her mouth at his comment and calling her a fine lady though. As
charming as always! A bit more then usual even.
Fixing her hood's position, she'd place her hands in her lap as
she sat back and watched Zarc begin to perform for her.
From the moment he was enveloped in shadows, he had her full
attention, she sat a little awestruck, watching Zarc's clicks
and how he had a slight change of costume thanks to the shadows.
It was all quite the show!
She would smile at the band name being announced before giggling
again when he said the song was dedicated to a superstar. Her
eyes wouldn't leave Zarc once he had the spotlight on him, as he
was the main focus afterall, sitting back a little as his wings
spread out, but not in fright.. More in marvel.
River would cover her mouth in giggles again as Zarc began to
sing, her hands would stifle and hush her giggles so she could
continue to listen to him sing, it wasn't a mocking kind of
giggle, just what he was singing made her feel giddy, seeing him
sing it was even better. She of course didn't know he was much
more serious with the lyrics meanings. She wouldn't notice the
shadows that slowly crept upon her, as her full focus was on
Zarc, but she would look a bit stunned and confused as he
pointed at her, "[font=arial black]Hmm??[/font]" Did he want her
to join him or?-
"[font=arial black]!!![/font]" Her hoodie would be whipped back,
she would reach for it but the shadows where quicker, and her
face would be out from under the hood for Zarc to see. Her hair
flowed out behind and around her head like clouds, a mix of
bright and dark purple in colour along with white sparkled dots,
which where sprinkled out across her face, hair and cheeks. Her
eyes where wide and a bright, glowing white along with her
eyebrows and mouth. Her eyes where wider then usual at the
moment though, probably because of the removal of her hood, but
the nervousness of it being removed wouldn't remain for long,
afterall, it was only Zarc who got to see her.
Now the meaning in the lyrics hit her, now his choice of song
sunk in.
River would blush a bright white in the cheeks, her purple
gaining bits of orange, red and pink here and there as well as
she shyly smiled back at Zarc as he continued, her cheeks
glowing as he smirked and his hair shaped the outline of a
heart. Her soul was racing and pounding hard, she could hear it
ringing in her head, she was nervous, but this was Zarc! Someone
she trusted very deeply.
She couldn't help but to laugh lightly again as he continued
until the song finished, he was good at what he did, that was
for sure, she didn't regret asking for a performance from him.
Her bright eyes would go up to him as he came back over to her,
her hair still flowing about behind and around her, she placed a
hand on one of cheeks as he asked her the question, her cheek
was hot, her whole face was really. But she knew her answer!
In a swift movement she would wrap her arms around the winged
monster, pulling him into a tight but warm and comfortable hug,
hiding her face into his chest during most of it, eventually
though, she would look up at him fluttering her white eyes,
"[font=arial black]Mmmm~ How could I say no?[/font]" She would
smile up at him, standing back a bit but keeping her arms on
his, "[font=arial black]Yes, Zarc Aheh[/font]" She'd let go of
him with one arm to cover her face a bit with one of her hands,
as shy as always, "[font=arial black]I'd love to![/font]" She'd
then look aside shyly, dropping her head down lightly,
"[font=arial black]Zarc.. I’m so sorry that my first words to
you were so unkind...[/font]"
