Part IV: Hold the Phone (Endings)

* (Ring, ring...)
* You hear a loud yawn answer your
call. He sounded like he just woke up.
* Auuhh-whu? Heya. This is Sans. 'Sup?
*  There was a pause.
* What? Were you expecting me to be
the one calling you? And if you weren't there to answer it I was
to leave a message? Heh.
* You asked about what happened after
the incident.
* Oh? So you heard about what happened
huh? Whelp, this is actually perfect timing since, I have heard
quite a bit of news regarding that.
* First thing, being the most obvious.
The fissure that stretched across the Underground ceiling was
patched up. It took some time, but working together we managed
to restore it to it's former glory. Gusts's clouds did help a
bit, we managed to track down the Earth Elemental Monsters Zarc
knew about and a whole bunch of volunteers offered to help too.
While it was nice seeing the sky, sun, moon and stars, it was
simply too dangerous.
* What was left of all entrances to the
abandoned mines in and around Waterfall have not only been
closed down, but rather, the shafts have been deliverately
collapsed so that no one could regain access to them.
* Snowdin is back the way it used to
be. I liked it a lot better that way too. Now we don't have to
worry about renaming it Slushedin or Waterlogged. The monsters
whom relied on the cold climate were more than pleased to have
their home back the way they both wanted and needed it to be.
* There were reports of quite a number
of monsters being turned to dust... but it wasn't because of the
shift in climate. Sadly, all the Moldsmalls and Moldbyggs had
been wiped out and quite a number of residents of Snowdin and
Snowdin forest were killed by the dozens at the hands of a blue
monster skilled with Cryomancy. I remember seeing him before in
the mines; Sprite, I think is what the Weed called him.
* He's still on the run. Be careful of
that guy.
* The children who were kidnapped were
returned safely to their homes. After finding out what happened
in that basement beneath a house in Snowdin, Cherry, Red,
Marver, Temmie and Kapral were awarded the Young Hero's Ribbons
of Bravery; for not only preserving during trying and cruel
times, but for also keeping so many of the children safe from
certain doom. Not a single parent in the Underground doesn't
know who they are now.
* Meka and Cobalt were reunited with
their missing sisters. I'm not sure what's new with Meka and
Karpal but I've heard that Cobalt had grounded her sister for
being so gullible to follow a stranger before she was taken
away. I've heard that the forge she owned is a lot shinier since
their return.
* The family of the child whom died at
the hands of the Koray when confronted by Sakura found the
Kitsune and quietly thanked her for tracking down their son and
for her bravery to attempt to save him. They were unable to
retrieve his dust but they told her that she was welcome at
their home at any tie should she need a place to stay or
somewhere to eat.
* Gust was found by the Royal Guard and
even though he did have a hand in saving some monsters in the
mines, he was still ordered to help patch up the fissure along
with the others since he was after all, one of the ones
responsible for it.
* How did they find out about him?
Well, it certainly helps to have a gloating flower announce it
on screen while Undyne was present in front of everyone down at
the mines.
* The memorial statue of Link still
remains in pretty good condition in Waterfall. For some reason
monsters who go near it have a sudden infatuation with the lost
hero and spontaneously gain a lot of knowledge about his life.
Weird.
* Grillby got his restaurant back the
way it used to be before all of that water damage. He also got
to go back to how his life routine used to be and his business
seemed to be growing quite a lot in recent times. I guess it's
partly due to after what has happened, monsters were trying to
stop being on edge and try and enjoy themselves again. Grillby's
has always had that welcoming vibe to it, so I can't blame them.
*  Haruno...
*  ...
* ...
* You hear a heavy sigh at the other
end.
* ... I placed Haruno's remains in an
urn when I got back to Snowdin... I'll be bringing it over to
Grillby once I've... figured out what to say.
* Gaster has disappeared again. No
surprises there. At least I think he did. I haven't seen him
since the mines. I haven't been exactly been back home yet
either, so, who knows where he is. Probably working on something
I'd imagine. I've given up trying to patch things up with him.
He hasn't changed, and likely never will. Even when I was sick
he was always more concerned with the work he has been involved
with, and when he wasn't, for some reason he was more interested
in spending time with Haruno and Grillby instead of his sons
like he said he was going to do.
* After some thorough investigation,
the Trinity sisters were found not guilty of having any
connections to the missing children whatsoever; despite claims
from monsters present at the mines whom insisted that Elloise
had organised the whole thing. Unfortunately for them, there was
simply no evidence to back up their claims. So they were allowed
to go home.
* Aceline Trinity, however, was too
young to be imprisoned in the dungeons for attempting to enslave
all monster kind. So instead, she had been sentenced to do
community service for the Underground. She had to do one hour
for ever monster enslaved, which turned out to be a total of
three-hundred-and-forty-six hours of sweeping streets, cooking
food for the homeless and so on and so forth. Not exactly the
sort of thing monsters born into a noble family such as her are
too thrilled to do. Hopefully, she will learn a lesson from
this.
* Alphy's lab had been repaired back to
how it was before the Koray had invaded and destroyed it. Most
of the missing property were able to be recovered and soon after
Alphys had built another containment unit to keep the weed in.
She had followed the blue prints to the torture device as a
guide but of course excluded the whole sunlight blowing up
thing.
* There was another pause.
* So you could imagine what happened
next. Flowey had been taken out of the first canister and was
transferred into the new one. The process itself was a struggle
since the little weed did everything he could to try and escape.
It took every once of will power Undyne had to not lose her
temper and accidentally kill the former prince but in the end
they were successful...
* I can't say how exactly about what
to feel about this. It may seem harsh but I think he should have
stayed in the first one. At least then we know for certain under
those conditions he wouldn't have the strength or capacity to
Reset and everyone can get on with their lives. He was allowed
visitors but only if Undyne herself was present to ensure
nothing went wrong. With this new one, I dunno, it just gives
him time to think while also being locked up in the highest
security cell within the Castle Dungeons. In time, I think he
will find a window of opportunity to try something. I just hope
I'm wrong.
* Zarc, from what I've heard, was also
able to go back to how his life was before this whole thing
happened for the most part. Except, he now has a new nickname.
He's actually pretty popular with the monster children. The kids
whom were present told all their friends about him so whenever
he walked past some kinds, it was pretty common for them to run
up to the 'super hero' who ate black holes.
* I'm not sure where Toriel lives now,
but I'd imagine she either returned to the Ruins or Zarc might
have offered a room for her to stay in since, well, if she tried
visiting my house or Grillby's she would find that I'm not
there. Unless she has been staying at my house without me
knowing. 'Cause I can definitely see Papyrus being really
hospitable and such. Considering the tough choice she had to
make, many monsters whom have heard about it have been rather
considering, gentle and kind whenever she was out and about.
* Kinda funny how - and not the
funny-funny kind of funny - asides from the Genie, two monsters
whom were responsible for all of... this turned out to be kids.
Maybe it might sound weird to you, but if you've been down here
for as long as I have, you come to realize just how powerful the
little tikes can be. Especially human children. I mean, we've
have six of them fall down here and theirs souls - along with
hopefully a seventh one some day - will be enough to destroy the
barrier. Then there's 'Flowey'. Don't think I need to elaborate
on him. So, uh, kids are kinda scary if you're not careful...
I'd hate to think what a human with a soul of Determination
would be capable of doing.
* So, overall, for the most part, many
monsters were able to got back to their lives and enjoy it.
Despite everything, this whole incident has made monsters even
closer and stronger than before. I also heard that soon enough
those gems on the head bands Alphys and I made dulled and
stopped working and are now completely useless. The life of
those things surprised me, as I didn't think they would last as
long. Which is great.
* Whelp, it's been nice talking to you,
but I think that wraps everyhing up.
* You hear another yawn and some bones
creaking.
* You then ask Sans about how he was
doing.
*  What? Me? I'm uh...
*  ... around. I'll be seeing you.
Maybe.
*  Click.
* You then put the phone away after
realizing that he had ended the phone call suddenly.
((Sooo it's 4:00am. I was going to include colour coding stuff
and Sans' images next to the dialogue like in the game but I'm
burnt out. I also gotta get up soon hahahahaha rip. I'll fix
that up another time. Thank you for participating, it's been
really fun and I'll be seeing you for some downtime RPs! :D ))

Edited.
Added some bits I forgot to write up when I initially wrote
this. XD
