Flora and Fauna (Pandora & Flowey)

I had continued my frolicking, reaching a most peculiar clearing
in the middle of snowdin woods- Though we'd have to call it
something like Bloomtown now, wouldn't we? Anyways, this
clearing was right in the path of most of the light, and there
appeared to be a large yellow-petaled flower sitting in the
middle of it all, just bobbing back and forth and soaking up the
sun. So I decided to sit right up next to it, maybe talk to it
for a bit- Well, it's not like it could talk back, so I guess
I'd just be talking to myself. Not that it would be the FIRST
time I did that sort of thing, mind you...
"You know, it's kinda nice that the world decided to brighten
up, isn't it? Flowers like you can grow all sorts of wonderful
colors, monsters down here can see the sunset for the first time
in god-knows-how-long, and now you all have a glaringly obvious
weak point in the Barrier! A shame that it's a bubble
surrounding the whole underground, huh?... Otherwise you all
could have dug your way out. And some of the plants still can, i
think. It only keeps things with a SOUL inside from what I've
seen. So what are your thoughts on all this, little flower?
Surely you have an opinion on all this, right?"

The flower twitched, its body shuddering as its stem creaked
when it bent over the other direction to face Pandora, "Golly,
you sound awfully cheery for someone who is supposed to be stuck
down here; but you're not really stuck, are you?" he questioned,
bopping from side-to-side.

then, gotta say... I had kinda gotten used to talking to myself
via an inanimate object. This is a nice change, I guess. Flowey,
right? Not the most creative name, but it's not like I mind. And
no, I'm not stuck down here, all it would take is one teleport
and I'd be outta here. There ain't a barrier that's ever been
built that can hold me permanently! No, I'm staying here of my
own free will, because it seems like everybody here is...
well... NICE. They're accepting of me, unlike the rest of the
universe..."
I mean, I had of course seen him SOMEwhere- Just not very much
of him. I didn't know that the cheery attitude he was putting on
right now was just a facade, for example, even though my WRITER
may know... and hey, it was okay to get a little bit meta, if
not out loud; This was the WHAT IF thread, after all. Though
that might change later, come to think of it. Ah well...

The flower seemed to look disinterested as a root pulled up from
the ground, tossed a pebble into the air and caught it
repeatedly, "Well if you're not stuck down here then you're not
a monster. Can't say I blame you for wanting to stay down here.
Watching monsters rally up behind the king on the look out for
the next human [shadow=orange,left][color=red]so that we could
capture them and rip the very fibre of their being and
individuality and utilize the power of their Soul for our own
gain, destroy the barrier and extract revenge upon the humans
above for locking us up and jumping to conclusions that monsters
are the reason why humans are murdered. Some monsters are so
volatile that they cannot help but murder other monsters for
their own gain to get stronger.[/shadow] Yeah, that's a real
peachy crowd we have here." [/color]

"Whoa- Um... You're just kidding with that, right?... I mean, if
you ACTUALLY meant it, that'd be really messed up, wouldn't
it?... Surely there must be a less murdery solution. Sure, some
violence might have happened in the past, but that doesn't mean
you have to perpetuate it. Sure, I can't bring anybody ELSE out
of the underground due to reasons that I can't really explain,
or, well, I suppose I could, it's something to do with the
vortex created that only allows for a being of similar chaos
level to travel with me- But mostly it's just because of Rule
#13. Hey, I was allowed to say that! Yeah, this can't be
anything other than a What If thread then. Nice!"
"But... you ARE joking about the killing, right? That's real
creepy for a cute little flower to be talking about. So far,
everybody I've met has been nothing but kind; Are you trying to
tell me that's not the case, or are you just messing with me?
Maybe you're doing BOTH? Man, now I'm confused!"
